In my website I have video clips of my work.
How can you set up a website that allows you to watch the clip while the rest is downloading?

Can some please tell me how I can watch movie while downloading them and not having to what unitl completed?

Generally speaking, files downloaded directly to your player or played on the web via the plug-in player may or may not be encoded as "fast start" files which begin playback as soon as sufficient data is cached to the local device. However, web pages can be coded to override the file settings depending on the desires of the page creator. In addition, the length of time it takes to cache data and begin "fast start" playback may depend on your particular internet connection speed for downloading the data. Lastly, some compression formats may require the entire be download to be download to find the EOF before playback can begin.

Something like this happened to me, where something went wrong on Apple's end and a movie I rented wouldn't play. I contacted Apple over the phone and they gave me back my money and fixed the problem for future use.

Connect the external drive and then launch Disk Utility found in Applications/Utilities. Your external drive while show up in Disk Utility's side bar. It should be Mac OS Extended or OS Extended (Journaled).
If it isn't:
Then select it and click the 'Erase tab' at the top.
Select Mac OS Extended-Journaled formatting from the Volume Format menu.
Then click the oval Erase button at the lower right. Just remember-this will erase the drive!

12 GB RAM 1066 MHz DDR3
I've stored the library in HARD DISK which is installed inside my computer (1 TB capacity) and different from my hard disk in which I've installed all my applications (600 GB capacity).
I've installed FCP since 2001, bought FCP X in 2012: never had a problem. Yesterday I was editing my video of my last vacations (in California!) and I have updated FCP X, downloading FCP X 10.1.1: then the problem!
Strange is the fact that I've just tried to export a short project, I can see the final product quite well.
What is impossible is playing the clips within Final Cut: they are jumpimg, moving, presenting some frame in green or red ...
Everything all right in iMovie.
I've just checked the RAM: 9GB out of 12 GB is busy, could this be the problem?
Motion is very slow: for 20 sec of project, it takes minutes to play. And once again, if you finalize the projet and export it in Quicktime, you can see it correctly.
I do hope you may suggest something, I'm getting crazy!

I downloaded Real/Player. When I tried to play clip got msg: You do not have authorization to update this copy of Real/Player, R/P is op. on locked disc. Have no idea what to do?

I just downloaded Real/Player to my SnowLeopard Mac OS X version 10.6.8 dual core processor intel core 2.16 GH. 2.5 GB. I downloaded and tried to play a clip from the web. I received a message: YOU DO NOT HAVE THE AUTHORIZATION TO UPDATE THIS COPY OF Real/Player. Real/Player IS OPERATING ON LOCKED DISC. I'm new at navigating on a Mac. I would appreciate any help I could get for this or any beginner tutorials out there?

I cannot get a clean copy. The clips I downloaded are still there and so is the problem, no audio, no video. I opened up the console and it's like reading a different language, literally! I know I'm taking a huge liberty but perhaps you can find something in the errors that will help (I thank you in advance this gives you any clues)

If I could figure out thes tring of messages or errors in computer language specifically related to Real Player, I could narrow the errors down from the search box. Because there were many other messages in the console.

In earlier versions of iMovie you can also do this using Quicktime Pro 7:
Open MOV file in QT Pro (QT 7.6.6)
Window -> Show Movie Properties
select "Video Track"
select "Visual Settings" from lower window
check "Preserve Aspect Ratio"
Click on appropriate rotation icon (MOV rotates!)
Click back on the open MOV in Player Window
FILE -> Save

Few records are missing while downloading to a Spreadsheet from a Report

Dear Gurus,
few records are missing while downloading to a Spread sheet from a Z report. There are around 300 records, out of which 11 records are not appearing in Spreadsheet file after saving. But, the funny thing is when i try to save in other format like, HTML or to a clip board all records are coming.
When asked, the ABAPer said -
your report is coming correctly. if the report is wrong then we can try checking some code in the Z report. Saving it into Spread sheet is the standard program provided by SAP.
He is also facing this problem for the first time.
Can anybody help.

Few days back we got this kind of error, when i tried to down load the asset balances in excel format.
It was observed that, for one of the asset description ends with cama",". Due to this reason all other details has been stored in single cell. Once we changed the master data of that asset, then we able to get the report properly.
2) Some other time, when we tried to download material master details, for one of the material ... description not maintained. this is another issue. After maintain the description problem got resolved.

Wolfenstein: The New Order message "please wait while downloadable content is being validated"

When starting Wolfenstein:The New Order, the game goes through all the publisher/developer title screens and goes briefly to the standard loading screen then the screen goes totally black. If I press a button on the controller, the game shows the "Loading profile" prompt with the spinning circle. Soon after the message is replaced with "Please wait while downloadable content is being validated". Here is where the game just hangs forever. I have left it on this screen for over an hour and nothing happens. I contacted Bethesda support and they sent me here saying it is a PSN issue. I have already tried uninstalling and deleting all save games, etc. but the problem persists even on a non-patched game. This started happening on Sunday and I have already played the game through once and was on second playthrough and this is the first time I have encountered the problem. Please make sure that you were signed into PSN and online when trying to run the game as it needs to validate the downloadable content. The Bethesda Technical Support Team. From what I can tell, I am signed in to PSN since I can access the store and see my trophies and friends online. When I signed out and signed back in, I did get a message about not being able to reconnect but it did eventually. I have done extensive searches on the web and I don't see anyone else having this issue.

I am having the same exact problem. I got this game from gamefly last week and it did it. I told gamefly they sent me an entirely different game and it still is hanging up at the validating dlc screen, a wheel just continues to spin and nothing happens. What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system is it running?
How did you save your Timeline content which included the narration clip produced with the project's Narration Tool?
Publish+Share/Computer/ and then what? And, what preset? And, for that preset, did you use the default settings of the preset
or did you customize the preset under its Advanced Button/Video Tab and Audio Tab?
What other audio was in the project - any on Audio 1 or Soundtrack? Did you get involved with Smart Mix at all?

I was assisted yesterday by your technical support team to install the photoshop elements 12 & premiere elements 12 which I purchased e few minutes prior.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on?
Is the lack of audio in the Editing area of the program confined to this one particular MPG2 video clip?
What are the properties of this video file? If you do not know
a. perhaps the brand/model/settings of the camera that recorded the video might give us the information we need for troubleshooting
b. if not, consider getting that information from MediaInfo (Tree View)

Did you discover the loss of audio for the video file after you had created a narration clip with the program's Narration Tool?

Explorer starts using Quick Time to play clips "out of the blue" .

When I switched to Safari several years ago I noticed that Explorer did a better job at playing back movie clips so I kept using Explorer for only that purpose and Safari for everything else .
Yesterday all-of-sudden Explorer started using Quick Time to play clips that last week the Explorer player(?) used . Everything had been reset to use Quick Time .
I used finder to see if anything had been modified in Explorer in the last day and found a WAFF cache that was modified at the time of the switch . What is a WAFF cache ?
I put it in the trash and it seems to have fixed it . The clips play in the old manner (sizeable windows) . And everything else seems to still be working .
Does anybody know how and why this happened ?

I hadn't realized that Explorer used QTime. So I used finder to to tell me what happens when I download and for each clip it downloads a ;
1) Movie_0000.. IETemp Quick Time Movie 10MB
2)Orig_)0000.. IETemp MPEG Movie 3.4MB
and sometimes but I don't know if always a ;
3)IE Cache.waf 10MB WAFF file .
still wondering how the settings were changed and if the IE Cache wa involved ?

Listening while downloading into I-tunes

I should have been able to figure this out myself by now but after numerous attempts - no luck. Previously, as I downloaded a CD into I-tunes from my computer, it would immediately start playing it. NOW, it doesn't. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The preferences are still there, just not exposed in the iTunes UI.
On the Mac, they're set with a single line in the Terminal. On Windows, there's a little more mucking about involved.

Stuck at 0% while downloading HD movie

Couple days ago I rented the HD version of Gran Torino. I only have a 3mpbs connection, so I decided to let the download run over night. The next morning, still at 0% progress. Went to the menu Settings>Downloads, and the movie is listed there. But no matter what I try, it won't start the download process. Stuck at 0% for several days now. Anyone else seen this behavior?

I'm having the same problem. So I factory restored the ATV to start with a clean slate. When I everything setup again "Confessions of a Shopaholic" (standard def) immediately popped into my queue and started downloading. This is test download to see if a standard def movie could download. I'm not sure why it redownload by its own but not a problem...it download to 100%. I made a special note to look at my modem while it was successfully downloading on the ATV. My modem was going crazy, "internet" light flashing wildly to reflect the download traffic. However, when I download the "Echelon Conspiracy" (in HD) it just sat in my queue saying "downloading 0%", no modem lights were not moving reflecting no internet traffic. "State of Play" (in HD)download to 2% and then stopped. Again no modem lights. All my tests reflect that my internet connection is solid and performing fine. My ATV works in every other way (you tube, podcast, etc.) but no hd moive rentals. I have opened port 3689 on my modem. Anyone have any ideas? I got zero help from Apple. This is first Apple product I have purchased and I'm not impressed...
