Playing Music Suddenly Pauses on N95 8GB

I'm using an N95 8GB model (firmware v30.0.018). I updated the firmware from the factory one.
Since then, the music player seems to just pause music. It doesn't hang - it just pauses the music. I can listen for 40 minutes and then it'll just pause. It takes about 2 or 3 seconds before I can hit Play again play the music from the point it paused.
When it first occurred, I thought I'd hit the pause button on my headset controller but I have eliminated this.
Now I've searched around and people have been saying close unnecessary program but I only have Music Player, Standy and Logs running. Most other solutions aren't applicable.
It doesn't matter what the song is. All songs are wma from Media Player. I don't think it's a corrupted file. I have done a format through media player before syncing my music a couple of times.
Any help appreciated.

Connect your phone to the pc, delete the music, reboot it and see if it can open again. If so reload the music.
If it still won't open you will need to reset your phone. Make sure you back up everyting that you want to keep before you try it.
Hard reset:
1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.
3. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone.
4. Release when the phone shows the nokia logo or shows other signs of life like the language selction screen.

I don't know what to do. I have only had my iPhone for about 2-3 months and suddenly this happens. It really annoys me when I am playing music on my headphones or out loud because it sounds like its broken. If there is a problem am I ensured by apple.

    Hello sound_freak,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when connecting your iPod to your your Wadia 170i dock.  I recommend reviewing the article below to further isolate and troubleshoot an issue like this (you can skip any steps you have already taken):

  • TS1363 My ipod was charged and was playing music suddenly no screen is showing up, please suggest what to do..??

    Hi All,
I've been using this 3rd gen Ipod Nano classic, and all of the sudden its freeze no display on the screen.
I've tried all the possible troubleshooting on this post site, but no go.
    Any help would be appreciated..
    Thanks..

It has battery power?  A 3rd gen nano is somewhat old, so its battery may no longer hold a charge.
I don't know what "all the possible troubleshooting" means, so did you do a Reset

In case the battery is worn out, you should do this while the iPod is connected to power (power adapter or USB on computer).

  • Nokia N95 8GB Speaker issue???

I just bought Nokia N95 8GB version and I was excited all about it. I have setup most of the softwares and settings that I had on my old N80 and I was going to enjoy the music by playing it on the new N95 8GB. However the sound is coming out from the normal speaker (where you put your ear to chat) and not off from the speakers on the side of the phone. When I'm receiving the call or message the sound is coming out from there but all the softwares are using the small speaker for talking and it's very annoying as I cannot hear anything..
If anyone knows the solution to this issue please let me know how I could solve it. I have tried to upgrade my firmware but it keeps coming up that there isn't any new one as yet.

it could be a hard wear issue or contact with moisture try the following
Reset to factory defaults (*#7780#) : Restores settings
Reset (*#7370#) : This reformats completely the C: drive. All applications and files stored on this drive will be lost and clean default files will be rewritten.
    Hard reset:
    1. Switch off the phone.
    2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.
    3. While holding these buttons, hold the power button for a second to switch on the phone.
    4. Release when the phone shows the nokia hands logo or shows other signs of life like the language selection screen.
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

  • Problems with iTunes 10.6.1 - rendering stops while playing music

Hi everybody, I am writing because some problems with iTunes, that appeared currently. Never had this problems before... When playing music suddenly the rendering stops for several seconds and then it continues without any action from my side. Maybe the problem only shows up when my MacBook comes to the standby mode, but nevertheless, i never had this problem before and it really restricts the possibilities of enjoying music played by iTunes. Can you help me?
    Thanks and kind regards

I have an old macbook too.
It seems like Apple writes new software that makes older computers not work as well.
I always have reservations about updating with an older model.
Does anybody else have any problems with the new iTunes?

  • Has anyone met the problem that iTunes plays music automatically?

    Macbook Pro 13' (early 2011)
    System: Mavericks and Yosemite
    Description:
When iTunes is playing music, click "Pause" button (don't exit iTunes), then leave the laptop alone or close the laptop so that a few minutes later, it will enter sleep mode. Then a few minutes later, iTunes starts playing the music that was playing before when you clicked the pause button, automatically.

    Hello!
This shouldn't be able to happen if your Mac is asleep. Are you sure your Mac is really asleep and not just showing a black screen? You can easily test this by clicking: "Apple Mene > sleep" and see if the issue still occurs
If that's not helpful, disable support for infrared remotes in: "Apple menu > system preferences > security and privacy" and click [advanced] Check "disable support for infrared remotes"
Secondly, disable power nap for testing purposes: "Apple menu > system preferences > Energy Saver" Uncheck Power Nap.

  • ISync cannot find my handset (N95 8GB)

there is a lot of troubles with contecting N95 8gb to Mac:
    1. iSync is not responding to USB connection, it says: NO DEVICE FOUND
    2. when starting connection with Mac via USB connection, there is info message coming out, "USB CONNECTION IN USE, MASS MEMORY CANNOT BE USED". anyhow transfers are working fine. another thing is when you're done, there is no option in the handset how to end the connection, so logically you do it on computer, you eject the device. then there is info message coming out (for half a second), "DATA CABLE NOW CAN BE REMOVED". is about three seconds later coming second info message telling you "DATA MAY HAVE BEEN LOST. DATA TRANSFERS SHOULD BE STOPPED BEFORE REMOVING CABLE."
data is not lost, but here comes the best bit: i want to listen to music that i put inside, and the music player is just frozen, for around 20 to 30 minutes.
Same thing happens with camera sometimes, you make a pict, then you wanna show it to your mate, review is just frozen, and often happens that you jsut give up to wait for "LOADING" message.
    didn't even try GPS yet
!N95 8GB is the most expensive handset on the market (not counting VERTU and designer pieces) you want it to be ready to go, not to lookout for firmware updates etc.

this happens when apps on the phone are using the memory card. for example, if your Messaging app (SMS, MMS, EMAIL) stores its data on the card, rather than internal memory, then you will get this message. make sure all applications are closed before trying to use the card. or use PC Suite mode instead, and use the Nokia Multimedia Transfer application. This application provides access to the memory card through a proxy application on the phone, rather than direct physical access (the proxy is invisible to you, you just drag and drop files, the app on the phone is told where to place the files, it works fine).

the DATA MAY BE LOST message is due to a bug macosx (someone correct me if i'm wrong). i have the SAME PROBLEM with my 8GB thumbdrive. i believe macosx is attempting to poll the device to remount it after i have manually ejected it. i have found that if i wait about 60seconds after unmounting that either 1) it automatically remounts, or 2) if i remove the usb drive, i get no error message.
i am curious about the music player app. on my n95-1, when i push new music onto my phone via Nokia Multimedia Transfer, i have to manually REFRESH to music library. perhaps your n95-8gb is doing this automatically? i only push 600MB of music to my microsd card and it takes a good 5 minutes to refresh, if you are pushing 3GB of music then this behavior makes sense to me (although it is unfortunate the Nokia Multimedia TRansfer doesn't do this for us). i wonder how your phone reacts to uploads from the Nokia Multimedia Transfer app? why would you possibly push music to the phone without using Nok..Mult..Trans..?

have you updated to the latest firmware? perhaps someone with your model of phone can provide insight to this.
when you do try the gps - make sure you turn A-GPS on and set a proper access point for it to use. look in
    Tools->Settings->General->Positioning
(this is the where my settings are in my n95-1)

i cant disagree with you, but neither can i agree with you. i LOVE my N95-1. some features are not very cleanly implemented - like a race horse that stumbles fairly often, but the leanest fastest most hardcore race horse out there. if you want a smooth ride, i'm sorry. this horse doesn't trot. if you want an exhilarating ride, hold tight, it doesn't l=take long to get accustomed to the stumbles and figure out how to avoid them - then teh ride is fantastic.
    good luck
    N95-1 ---> N97-NAM ---> N900 ---> E7-00 + N900 (I use them both)
(N95 was pretty good, N97 had potential but utterly failed to deliver, N900 is absurdly good. Those of you wondering, "should I try N900/Maemo/MeeGo"? The answer is a resounding YES)

  • I can't play music or videos!!

I can't play music or videos on iPod touch 5! When I play music it pauses and plays by itself and then Siri randomly pops up and then goes away again. The same happens with videos on YouTube; when I watch them they randomly pause and my music starts playing and then Siri starts! I have tried resetting it and it is not insured. Please help?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - dusconnedc/unpluf any headpohnes. Maybe headphone problem is causing problem
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • My 5th Generation IPod Touch keeps pausing, opening Siri, and crashing when I play music?

I won a brand new 64gb 5th gen iPod touch back in November, everything has been great with it until recently. Lately it has been glitching out whenever I try to play music. It seems to be only when the headphone are plugged in that it does it, but it happens daily and has become an inconvenience. It tends to pause, play, open Siri (ask her a question) sometimes speed up the song, and ultimately crash. Does anyone know of this and/or know how to fix it? I've tried a system restore with backing up info but nothing else. Thank you.

Hope your issue was fixed. With iOS 7 and now 7.0.4 the iPod touch fifth generation I have still crashes I have don't a soft restore, a complete restore from back up and also setup as new. Nothing worked. Saw the folks at the apple store on five different times. So they finally gave me a replacement. This has been going on since the new release. The only thing I have found is that it looses internet connectivity so I can put it in airplane mode. Close all apps. Then go back to wifi mode and some times this worked.
Your issues seem slightly different. But the irregularities began for me with issues with my music library on my iPod touch.
It's so frustrating to have such an expensive device functioning so poorly.

  • The sound quality of my speaker suddenly got really poor when playing music or videos.  Sounds like an old AM radio or Sputnik.  Pretty sure it's hardware related but maybe not.  Thoughts on what the problem might be and if it can be repaired?

The batterys the ipods come with are very sensetive somtimes they dont react right to the first couple of charges. Try fully charging it and then leaving it on until its completely drained a few times. If that doesnt work it might be a lemon.

You may need to do a Restore in iTunes.
Clicking sounds from an iPod that has a hard drive is probably not a good thing.  It is possible that your iPod's hard drive is becoming unreliable.

  • Why does my iPod Classic keep pausing while playing music in a dock?

Hi, can anyone help with this? I am playing music through the iPod Classic on a Philips docking speaker and every few minutes it pauses. This is so maddening, what can I do to stop it. Thanks

From my own experience recently, I would suspect that the Philips dock is faulty. However, that won't get you very far, so as a method for narrowing down the problem, ask yourself the following:
Has the iPod/Philips dock combination ever worked?
How are you connecting the iPod with the dock? Is it the docking connector, a cable, bluetooth?
How long does it work before it pauses (time it)? Is it the same time each attempt?
Can you try the iPod with a friend's dock, or can you try the dock with another iPod? What happens?
