Please help. bought iphone yesterday today trying to put itune music on phone  now phone locked up and wont do anything except say reloading ... for like 3 hours now

help! i bought iphone yesterday. tonight trying to put itune music on phone.  phone locked up now for 3 hours saying restoring phone.  on phone screen pic of itunes and cable to connect.  can not get phone to do anything

Try a Hard Reset.....
Press and hold the Wake / Sleep button AND the Home button at the same time, keep them both pressed until the Apple Logo appears on the screen, it can take 10 or more seconds.  Ignore the swipe to turn off message.

    Please help! I have been trying to update my iTunes for a few months with no luck! I click install and it will make it to 10% then tells me it has been interupted, so i resume and then it pops up with "iTunesSetup.exe couldnt be downloaded." I have done the repair thing and still nothing! This is driving me crazy!! I need iTunes updated to update my iPhone.

    If your profile is correct you are using 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.   The latest iTunes version for that OS is 11.3.1    If your profile is wrong and you have 10.9.5 Mavericks, then the iTunes version is 11.4.    You cannot use Mavericks versions on Snow Leopard.

    I recently had to have my hard drive replaced (by Apple under warranty). Ever since then, iphoto and itunes do not recognize my iphone. I had the same problem at my work computer today (a G4 tower running a lower version of OS X than I have at hoime), but the issue was resolved after I 'reset' my iphone (held down power button and main button, replugged in, etc.) No such luck at home after trying the reset/restart/reopen iphoto/itunes several times over.
    -I checked Image Capture to see if iphoto was set to the default photo software viewer; it is.
    -I updated my itunes software tonight. Didn't help.
    What else can I try??

  • Please help ! IPhone 4S stuck on connect to iTunes symbol, wont restore

    I tried to update my iPhones IOS and when I did, it said that I needed to restore my iPhone, so I did, or I tried. When I went to restore it, it worked for a little while, then stopped and pulled up a error that says "there was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone, " iPhone " . An unknown network error occurred (9006). I have searched everywhere for a solution to my problem, to find no solution. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, turning in off firewalls, virus protectors, etc.
    I am very desperate to fix this problem because my iphone is a paperweight until this problem is resolved, please help me!

    If it is done and just froze, then Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to restart. Usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons.
    If still a problem. Then Restore again. I would reboot computer. Then open iTunes on computer. Then connect iPhone to computer. Then hold both Home and Power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Usually takes about 20 seconds time of holding both buttons. Then Restore the Firmware.

    Hi, I am trying to sync my sons ipod so he can upgrade his ipod without losing all his games but for some reason we keep getting the message that my laptop ( windows 7 )  is not authorized. In Itunes, under 'STORE' there is no option or drop down menu with the option to authorise this computer. Just want to get on with up dating his ipod. Anyone any advice ? Have been reading advice for ages nothing worked so far.

  • I'm trying to download itunes, but after clicking download it just takes me to a screen that says thanks for downloading itunes, but nothing has downloaded, any ideas what I can try?

    I had it before but had to reinstall windows due to a software glitch.  But now I'm up and running again, so I went to downlaod Itunes, only to find it wont run and download at all it skips straight from download now to thanks for downloading in practically 2 seconds and nothings downloaded. Its really fustrating and I have no idea why this is the case or what I can do to get it to download, please help.  I have never had a problem downloading it in the past.  I use windows 7, with google chorome and IE 10, tried it on both to no avail.

    When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive.  It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas?  I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.

    I was looking into the issue you are desribing, and found a great article for troubleshooting wifi connections with iOS devices. It's called iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections and can be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398.
    Start with this section, and work your way down if needed.
    Basic troubleshooting
    Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again.
    Verify that you are in range of your Wi-Fi router or base station.
    Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and Cable/DSL modem are connected to power and turned on.
    Check whether other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
    Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware.For AirPort Base Stations, refer to this article for information about firmware updates. For third-party Wi-Fi routers, check the manufacturer's website for details on updating your firmware.
    Restart your iOS deviceHold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.

  • "Verifying updated iPhone software" message for 4 hours now, please help!

    I'm trying to update to 1.1.1 for 4 hours now, and after downloading and extracting the "Verifying updated iPhone software . . ." message doesn't disappear, nor does it advance or anything.
    my phone has never been hacked in any way nor have there been any 3rd party things installed. I signed up as a new at&t customer on day 2 of the iPhone release and never had any trouble till now.
    I'm currently overseas and won't be back for the next month. so I've been using me iPhone as an iPod and mail device (wherever I have wireless access) since at&t isn't working here.
    could that be why it is not verifying the software and "stuck" in this mode for more than 4 hours now?
    I haven't gotten any of the error messages that are mentioned in the other threads, but I'm afraid to disconnect it, as I'm not sure what's going to happen.
    Please help!

    never mind. I disconnected it, had to restore it to factory settings, but it all came back and now it's working with the new udpate!
