Please help - cannot get into any of the icons, when i touch the icon it makes a square round it but won't go into it. Tried restarting and rebooting it but no change.
Please help. Since yesterday whenever i try to use my ipod touch, all the icons won't let me enter the app. Every one whenever i touch it just shows a faint square round the icon, and it won't access the item. Tried re-starting & re-setting but it hasn't fixed it.
Are some of your accessiblity features activated?
Each accessibility feature can be turned on or off in Accessibility settings on iPod touch. You can also turn some features on or off in iTunes when iPod touch is connected to your computer.
Turn on accessibility features using iPod touch: Go to Settings > General > Accessibility.
Turn on accessibility features using iTunes: Connect iPod touch to your computer and select iPod touch in the iTunes device list. Click Summary, then click Configure Universal Access at the bottom of the Summary screen.

Hi my Ipod nano 6th keeps turning off the music when I touch the sleep/wake button.
What should I do?Your problem is that your iPod is not sensing that your headset is inserted. There is a pin inside the headphone port on the Nano that senses if it is inserted fully. If it does not sense anything, it will pause playback when the screen turns off to save battery power. Here are the solutions:
Insert it fully. This will fix it for most of you. Press that thing in there all the way. You should feel and hear a full click when it is fully seated. If you can see ANY silver of the headset jack, it is not fully inserted.
Debris inside the headset port. If you are totally unable to push the headset jack all the way, the most likely problem is that you have crud inside your headphone jack. Try blowing it out or slapping it against your palm with the headset port facing your palm to try and get the stuff out. If you look into he jack with a light, you should be able to see to the bottom. The entire inside of the headset port is white, so if it looks dark at the bottom, that is the crud that is keeping your nano from working.
Headset jack or plug issue. If you cannot solve the problem with 1 or 2, then there is likely something physically wrong with either the headset jack on your headphones or the headset port on the nano.

I just created a new profile/user on my MacBook Pro. My pointer/mouse on my trackpad. It works fine in my older user profile, but when I go to the new profile my mac will not respond to clicks. The Mouse moves but will not click. Already tried restarting and the pram zap. The problem starts when I log out of my main profile. I get to the login screen and my laptop stops responding to clicks. When I manage to make my way back to my main profile the mouse works perfectly. Should I just delete the new profile and try again?
If the modem is also a router, either use the modem in bridge and run pppoe client on the TC.. that is assuming ADSL or similar eg vdsl. If it is cable service.. and the modem is a router, then bridge the TC.. go to internet page and select connect by ethernet and below that set connection sharing to bridge.
Please tell us more about the modem if the above gives you issues. -
I feel a little tingling in the fingers when I touch the Ipad's back side
When I plug the iPad for charge the battery I feel a little tingling in the fingers when I touch the Ipad's back side, Could it be a problem?
Cables can break due to flexing over time, especially at the plug. I've had that happen a couple of times. Very high chance that's the problem.
Can you try the cable with another device? Or borrow somebody's cable and try it with your iPad?
And for sure a genius at an Apple Store or at a retailer could test that for you no problem. -
My ipod touch 8g has a black screen. I know that it works because when I pull it into the computer it connects and reads it also makes sounds when I touch the screen. Someone please help I don't want a $200.00 paperweight.

THe gmail stopped working; when i touch the screen nothing happens, cannot use any funtion with gmail, but other apps work normally
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset
If it is the gmail app you are using, you might also try deleting and reinstalling it. If you are using the built in iOS mail app, you can try deleting and re-adding the gmail account. -

K, that resolved it. For anyone who has a similar issue, delete all Microsoft related cookies.Has the ISP modems and routers been power cycled then tested again?

Are FW versions on all routers up to date?
To safely update FW, I recommend doing the following: Download the FW file from the support site first.
Disable the auto update feature on the router. <If this was on, possible someting was updated recently. I recommend leaving this OFF.
1. Save router config to file first using IE or FF with all security add-ons disabled.
2. Factory reset the router with all other devices disconnected or turned OFF accept for 1 wired PC.
3. Reload or Update the FW using IE or FF. Just download the FW file to your local wired LAN PC.
4. Factory reset the router and then set up from scratch first and test with out loading the saved config from file. Check to see if any problems are fixed before loading the saved config from file. Sometimes you need to set up from scratch with out loading the saved config file. Just safer that way. -

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox.

Ctrl T will not open a new tab either; however, I can do a search for something and right click to open in a new tab.

I got mine (2 weeks ago) 64GB WiFi+3G (Verizon) from the apple store online
I didnt have to do anything to it, turned it on, activated it, got it on my home network then I signed up for the 3G data service, it works where ever I happen to be. (if there is an unknown WiFi connection available it asks me if I want to join before it continues to connect to the 3G when I am surfing or getting e-mail)
do you have an Apple Store close enough to travel to?
I am only assuming here, but since you have a SIM you are not in the US correct? -
