Please help with video over photo.

Im going to try and make this as easy as I can. I want to take a photo of say myself. Now I want to take a video of a mouth singing a song. I want to put the mouth over the photo. How can I do this. Kinda like a Conan type thing.

Not with any version of iMovie.
Don't think You even can do this with iMovie HD 6 and third party plug-ins.
To do this You need at least two video tracks and You need to cut away (crop) parts from
the face that does the singing.
Eventually You need to move the mouth so that it fit's and to do this You need to be
able to key-frame each picture/frame to keep position.
Medicine is. FinalCut Express (or Pro)
Sour side. Cost, a compleatly new way to work - it's really a bit to learn.
But If You can take the knowledge step/learning step the revard is enormous.

Please help with video transfer

I just got a Canon HF200 camcorder but can't figure out how to transfer to my iMac. It came with transfer software for the PC, but nothing for Mac...ugh!. I can transfer *.mts files to my desktop, but nothing opens them.
Can someone please help!!???

You need to plug in your camera to wall power, not batteries. Connect via USB. Turn camera on to the correct mode for transfer to computer according to owners manual. Then start iMovie and the import screen should come up.

Please help with video importing

I just got my iBook G4 so that I could make an iMovie for an event that we are having in a few weeks.
I own a Sony DCR trv330 Digital8 Handycam. I have tried everything that I have read to try to get iMovie to import my video and it still say that there is no camera attached.
Is this camera even compatable? Please help quickly.

Are there any other devices connected to the Firewire port? Sometimes this can cause a conflict.
According to the manual for the Sony TRV340, you need to go into the menu system and set the AV/DV to "On".
After that, try a different cable. After that, have you used any device on the Firewire port? It is rare but the port may be fried.

Please help with videos not being displayed

I bought two videos at videohive. All i have to do is put my photos at the placeholders and render the videos.
I did with three other videos and all went fine.
but these two that i bought today are being displayed like this:

We can't know anything. You are not telling us what is involved in the projects or any other details like system informtaion. Perhaps you forgot to download some complimentary footage, perhaps you are missing a CoDec to use footage that comes with the project, perhaps there is some other technical issue like some CoDec or effect not being compatible with your render settings.... In any case, you will have to spill a lot more details and provide more screenshots.

Please help with video problem

I hope I'm in the right forum. I have a MS-6368 Mainboard & recently the video has gone bad. The boarders of anything on the screen & the text is for the lack of a better word squiggly. Horizontal lines seem to be ok but all vertical lines & all text have this squiggly swimmy motion. Just a warning that I am very computer ignorant.

Since your able to boot into safe mode okay your problem sounds like it is simply a driver problem. In safe mode Windows is not loading the driver for your video controller. In safe mode Windows loads its own generic video driver which has very limited capabilities. Actually the generic driver has only just enough capabilities to function in safe mode operation.
Try to follow Hjongste's suggestions or, download the drivers for your motherboard and follow the instruction in the readme. If there is a readme file because the installer will more than likely do everything for you anyway. They have the VGA driver for your motherboard on this page:

Just run the installer program and see if that cures your problem.
By the way...
I did a search in the knowledge base for your motherboard and the question "Can I disable the on-board video for MS-6368?" question was answered with "No, you cannot, this is a chipset limitation." So adding a video card is probably out of the question anyway. The help you've been provided is very useful. Don't be timid about following their advice.

Please help with video conference

hi every one,
i have gone to the mac store fifth avenue and spoke to a mac genius, but they werent able to help me.... hope you can..
so basically, my Ichat 3.5 (last version) workd great, i can make video conferences between 2 people with no problems but as soon as i try to make that a 3 way conversation it always gives me a communication error, or says that the third person did not resond....
lets make this complicated: there are 3 people: 1)me 2)cousin) 3)friend, and we all have the same computer with all the updates...
if 1)me tries to call 2)cousin or 3)friend so a 2way conversation everything works just fine, but if i invite the third person #2 and #3 at the same time it always says that 1 of the two did not respond....
probably there is a solution out there, but i was not able to find it....
PS... the mac store told me it could be the firewall but those were turned off on all computers....
help is appreciated,

PLEASE HELP WITH VIDEO PLAYBACK SETTINGS

Hi,
I am using Ppro 5.5 and everytime I play the video on the monitor why does it look horrible? It shows orange lines it does not look clear. I have the output to:
PLAYBACK RESOLTION: FULL
PLAYBACK SETTINGS: EXTERNAL DEVICE: NONE
ASPECT RATIO CONVERSION: HARDWARE (IF SUPORTED)
COMPOSITE VIDEO FOR VIEWING

What are the specifications of the clip?
What sequence settings are being used?
What operating system?
What graphics card and driver are you using?
Have you updated to 5.5.1 yet?

Can u please help with my huge Photo/Album/Folder Management Project?

Using 1.5.2
I had all my photos under one external Hard Drive and most were not keyworded. I also have a very large folder (recovered) that I had to recover
lost images during a HD crash so they are simply in folders such as
Recovered/Folder1 and recovered/folder2 and so on...
Thus far....
I imported all my folders as a project (Pictures-All) into Apeture as well as the "Recovered" folder sucessfully. Each folder came under this project as it was in my External HD.
I did go into each "Recovered" folder and keyword the images, one by one.
Now...
What is the best way to organize this mess using Aperture to manage the entire library, i.e., all managed files, none referenced.
And how should I handle the yet to be filed under a project "Recovered" folder.
Should I do all this with Smart folders? If so, under a project? How?
I'm thinking that Smart folders are vitural, so as long as I have all my imported images keyworded they will fall into the smart folder and from now
on I keyword every single image. Am I on track?
Being So greatful for any advice.

Hi Tom,
Sounds like lots and lots of fun. More fun than you know what to do with!
First thing I would do is sort on image date, just in case you have dups. .... unless you know you haven't. Create an album and drag all images (or batches of) from projects and recovered to the album. Sort on image date. Deleting any dups. from the album will delete the master/version image from its project also.
Next I suggest you create a folder and project structure you desire.
Then sort/filter your recovered project on keyword. Select the group needed and drag to its destination project. Dragging from project to project will move the master/version images.
This should get you a long way down the path without too much fun (hopefully).

I have no problem sending the text messages but I'm not receivng any from iPhones at all. It has been about a week now that I'm having this problem. I've already tried fixing it myself and I also went into the sprint store, they tried everything as well. My last option was to contact Apple directly. Please help with turning my iMessage completely off so that I can receive my texts.

If you registered your iPhone with Apple using a support profile, try going to https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do and unregistering it. Also, try changing the password associated with the Apple ID that you were using for iMessage.

Some one PLEASE HELP ME!!! I just updated my I phone 4s to ios 8.1.3 it was taking a long time then they finally updated and had the Hello screen after that I saw my photos then they would just delete it right in front of me I also lost some of my contacts but my notes still here can someone please help me find my photos are very important to me they have pictures of my relatives who passed away please help!!!

After 4+ months of dealing with this data usage and battery drain problem that included 3 data captures of my wife's iMac, the trigger for us regarding the problems syncing with iCloud, and 5 hours of logs off my iPhone 6 to be analyzed by Apple engineers that included times my wife's computer was both on and off to demonstrate the difference in data usage and battery drain under those conditions, I can say with very reasonable certainty that the iOS 8.3 and corresponding Mac OS 10.10.3 update has solved the problem.
We have now been running for about 2 weeks and data usage with the iCloud Servers attempting to sync has dropped from a rate of 31 GBs to under 15 MBs per month. Yes, you read it right. We were burning 2000 times as much data doing absolutely nothing important on both of our phones, a 5s and a 6. Just imagine what that does to battery life! The 5s would last about 5 hours and the 6 was dead in less than 14.
The distasteful aspect of this process was how the engineers were quietly fixing the problem at the same time sending messages to my contact person within Apple that were dismissive in nature in the face of indisputable unreasonable results. I must say, this experience with the multiple times the engineers' responses were inappropriate put a little tarnish on the old Apple shine of the ‘It just works’ mantra. This was my first experience in 34 years that caused me to stop recommending Apple products without reservations and with a disclaimer.
Since the update solved the problem, then I can only conclude that there was a logic bug regarding the reaction within the process to the incoming data that was corrected. There was noting short of logging out of iCloud that circumvented the problem for us, Gator5000e and probably many others noted on other threads. I am not trying to imply that this is the cause of everyones battery use problem, but it is reasonable that it was a cause for many.

Need help with cannon RAW photos

Please help- let my employee go and nearly 100 photos of my products were left on my hard drive, but I can not get them to open. They are somehow jacked up (show a different icon than they did). They have no previous version, and absolutely NOTHING I have tried to open them will work. Would someone be willing to test one to see if they can figgure it out? Or, has anyone fixed this problem before?

question? I am trying to add audio to slideshow. I have some music I purchased thru amazon as mp3 files but I get
message no codec and when I try to add wmv I get same message. What type of file do I need and how can I add
multiple songs to one slideshow. I have one little wmv file that will go in, but it just replicates itself multiple times until
it fills slide show.

You need to save the slideshow project in order to be able to go back later and make changes or additions to an existing slideshow . The wmv file is a final output format.
Now you are most probably using only the Output command: that is what makes the wmv file.
You should also do the Save Project command. (and I make it a practice to do the Save Project command before I do the Output command).
If you look at the Elements Organizer 8 Help, there is a topic on "Create a slide show".
-- Very close to the beginning of that topic is a screen shot of the Sldie Show Editor screen,
-- The bar below the usual menu bar is labeled with a "B" and called the Shortcuts bar.
-- The 1st entry on that Shortcuts bar is "Save Project"
It is the Save Project command that saves the information about which photos, audio, etc you placed in that specific slide show so that you can come back again to do subsequent editing. Save each Project with a unique name.
After completing the Save Project command, you shoud see an "icon" in the Organizer for that slide show.
Note: you must also keep the photo files and audio files which you have used in this slide show: you can't delete them because the project file does NOT contain a copy of the photos, it only has the identification and folder location of the photo and audio files.
