Plug-in not loaded on Non developers machine

Hi,
We are implementing an acrobat plug-in using VC++.Net (VS 2008) MFC Dll application, here we are referring a C# dll for hosting Infragistics WPF grid on the VC++ dialog(User interface). We created C# dll and plug-in application and added C# dll in acrobat.exe folder, Now the application works fine in our developer machine, but the same application is not running on Non-developer machines, We added all dependent libraries(Presentation core, Presentation Framework, Windows Base, C# dll for WPF grid, InfragisticsWPF3.DataPresenter.v10.2.dll, InfragisticsWPF3.Editors.v10.2.dll, InfragisticsWPF3.v10.2.dll, in the Non developer machines too, still it is not working there, what could be the problem, is there any more libraries we need to add? or any settings we need to change, please let me know.
Thank you,
palaksha

Usually that happens when you don't have the language runtime stuff on the other machine.
Not a PDF/Acrobat issue - but a build and windows one.

  • PasswordServer Plug-in not loading

I've got an issue with a few machines and Open Directory. When the machines start up, they will not automatically show the OD Users list. They just show local accounts. We end having to put the machine to sleep and awaking it (sometimes several times) for the list to show up. I have logged into a local account to see what the problem is and it appears to be the PasswordServer Plug-in not loading. The console log below shows what happened when I did this. After I logged out of the local account, the list immediately showed up. The log shows that the PasswordServer Plug-in loaded at that point.
Is there any way of forcing the plug-in to load instead of it loading lazily? Or am I missing the real problem here?
    Thanks for any assistance,
    Cameron

I have resolved the issue by entering the LDAP Server directly instead of using LDAP from DHCP.
Guess I need to check the DHCP Server Settings... although I'm not sure then why most machines are working fine. The ones that weren't working are older G4 Powermacs (the oldest machines we have on the network)... if that has any bearing.
    Just glad it's working.

  • Plug-in not loading

    Hi guys,
I have a plugin based off the BasicPlugin example (also tried with ExternalWindow) which is building and being moved to the plug_ins directory.
From what I can tell it should be adding a menu called "Acrobat SDK" with a submenu item "Basic Plugin" which when pressed tells you the count on the pages for the document, however when I start Adobe Reader (X) it does not load.
It is not signed, and my preferences are set to load unsigned (I have un-checked "Use only certified plug-ins").
Everything else my installation is pretty much default. I am running Win 7, compiling with VS2010.
I have read an awful lot of posts but am none the wiser.
I am sure this is something basic in the extreme - can anyone get me off the starting block?
    Thanks,
    Dom

    Hi Irosenth,
Thanks very much for that; I'm still struggling to find anything relevant in the Documents folder of the SDK; there is really just one file called "pdf_reference.pdf" which contains three documents (Adobe_Supplement, etc) - none of them have any information on reader enabling and hardly anything on plugins (doing a search for "plug" only gets 10 results).
That RIKLA says the price for the licence is $50,000 PA? Bearing in mind this is for internal use only, is that cost realistic?
I've looked at examples of reader enabling online through Acrobat but that doesn't look like it would enable the plugin for everyone - just for that instance of Acrobat - can you clarify that if I had one licence of Acrobat, I would be able to develop a plugin which can be deployed to any number of users who only have Reader? Would I still need this RIKLA?
    Thanks,
    Dom

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro X - plug-ins not loaded

I recently purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro for our company with multiple user licences.  Once installed I noticed a lot of features which were in previous versions are not available.  When I select the “Help” “About Adobe Plug-ins...” tab, almost all of the plug-ins are not loaded. Is this right and if not, how do I fix it. After reading numerous blogs I still do not have an answer – most refer to 3rd party plug-ins but not to this problem. NB: I am not an IT expert, but can help myself fairly well on software. Using Windows 7. Uninstalled Google Chrome as someone suggested it affects the plug-ins (which also did not solve the problem!)

    It's working correctly.
The Help > About Adobe Plug-ins dialog shows the status of dynamic extensions which ship with Acrobat - not third-party plugins you may have installed yourself. These core extensions are loaded on demand, so if you don't have a document open, very few of them will be loaded. It's why the dialog bothers to tell you their status in the first place.
Third-party plugins need to be reinstalled if you upgrade to Acrobat X, as the installation folder is different. Some that were written for previous versions won't work with Acrobat X, especially if they're not designed to cope with the Tools Pane or Protected View in 10.1, but they will not appear on that dialog - they appear on the next menu item down, "About Third-Party Plug-ins".
The UI in Acrobat X is radically different from previous versions, but very few features are actually missing - what are you looking for that you can't find?

  • CreatePDF Plug-in Not Loaded

When I downloaded Acrobat XI Pro, it appears that the CreatePDF feature was certified for the product, but not loaded.
I was under the impression that it was a part of the download, and now need to load the plug-in. I am unaware as to how to obtain the plug-in and load it to complete the downloaded version of the Acrobat software.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

You did not state the program, but I would guess OFFICE 2013. To get AA XI to work with OFFICE 2013 you have to do the updates (2013 came out AFTER XI). That may solve your problem. You may also have to go to the options in your office product and enable the addin. It would have been useful to know your version of OFFICE (assume that is what you are talking about) and the OS. There may be issue of incompatibilities that are related to these versions.

  • Plug-in not loading the correct library

    Hello,
I am writing a plug-in for a program and I am using eclipse as an ide. My plug-in uses other .jar files as extra libraries and 1 of those libraries is also used by the program I am writing the plug-in for. The difference is that I am using a newer version of that library. When I run the plug-in inside eclipse I have no problem what so ever, but when I create a .jar file (using the fatJar plug-in for eclipse (http://fjep.sourceforge.net/) )of my plug-in with all the libraries (.jar files) inside of that jar file I get a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError. Because I only get an error with that class I thought the plug-in was loading the wrong library (I think it was loading the library of the main program and not the library I have added to the jar file.)To do some testing i set the classpath in the manifest to point to where my main jar file is, but that didnt work. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem ?

It appears to be unsupported - but I don't know why. Generally when this happens it's because the person who coded it was rather sloppy with the code somewhere. Generally you can get away with some shortcuts (apparently...) when writing VST's, but there are a few apps that are absolute sticklers for obeying the rules to the letter - and Audition is notoriously one of them. So if some from the site work, and others don't, then perhaps asking the creator of them might get you somewhere...

  • CS6 InDesign plug-ins not loading when launching

I just purchased CS6 Standard. when launching InDesign, the adobe plug-ins are not loading causing error messages. I have re-installed twice, but get the  same error messages. At the end of several error messages, I get
'Cannot open resourse file." Can anyone help me?

I'm a little confused with what you write. There is a difference between extensions and Plug-ins.  Plug-ins are installed using the plug-ins installer and extensions are installed by "Adobe Extension Manager (version)" where version is the Photoshop version and the extension package must be created for that particular Photoshop version.  A CS5 package will not work in CS6 etc.   Installed extensions will be listed in Photoshop under menu Windows>Extensions>List of them.  Plug-in may install in the Filters menu or a place like menu File>Automate>Names.  Installed Extensions that you installed should also show in the  "Adobe Extension Manager (version)" window. Adobe installed extensions like Kuler and Mini Bridge do not show in the "Adobe Extension Manager (version)" window.

  • Sendmail plug-in not loaded at installation of Reader 10.1.3 - reader goes in hang mode

HI, Installed Reader 10.1.3 and the sendmail plug-in does not load. When trying to attach an email, reader goes in hang mode and I have to force quit. How can I load the plug-in? Thanks!

That is rather strange; the Adobe Reader executable is AcroRd32.exe
If that is what you actually saw, can you check the Event Viewer (applications) for the time when that happened, if you can see any reasons why this happened?

    2.  Did the build
    3.  Built an installer but Deselected  RTE installer as I told my customer to download LV RTE 8.0

    6.  Ran ithe NI nstaller on non LV machine.  Ran Ok.
    7.  However,  no files were installed (checked the PROGRAMS directory).
This is a REAL simple program.  Can anyone point me to some simple/stupid thing I did wrong?

    John:
Looking at all your steps, it seems like you are doing all the right things and in the right order too. Couple of things that you may try:
    1. Make sure that in your installer properties, you specify "ProgramsFileFolder" in the Source Files tab if you want your installer files to be
placed under "...\Programs\" (Please take a look at the attached screenshot)
    2. Try building an executable and make sure that you can run on the customer's computer (since it already has the LabVIEW Run Time Engine)
Let me know what you find.

  • Adobe Plug-Ins not loading

    Hello,
I'm having a problem with my computers loading all of the default Adobe Plug-Ins such as "Comments".  I've used Adobe customization wizard 8.0 to package Adobe Acrobat Standard 8.1.2 and deploy it through Windows 2003 Group Policy.  All of the computers have a previous version of Adobe Acrobat Standard 8.0 loaded on them.  I've ran "Repair Acrobat Installation" and validated that the api files are in the plugin directory.  The only domain change made was a group policy adm template file was created to disable "Java Script" in the Acrobat program because of malware.  This applies to the users when they login and is located at "HKEY_Current_USER Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\8.0\JSPrefs".  The weird thing is I've been able to deploy this package to some of my test machines and virtual machines and everything installs fine.  The test machines are located in the same containers has my production machines.  Any idea what could be causing this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, I reported this wrong.  I updated the package from 8.2 to 8.2.1 and then redeployed it.  Do you think I should try rebuilding the packages starting from the first update to the last?

  • Java Plug in not loaded

    Hi,
I'm using JPI 1.4.0 on IE 5.0 on a Windows 98 environment.. I have a really simple applet working with appletviewer ... I converted for Java Plug in using HTML Converter ... when I run the applet on my browser the page is succesfully loaded ( no ClassdefFoundError detected by JavaConsole ) but no applet appears.
Any help will be appreciated ...

There could be a lot of reasons why you're not seeing your applet. Here are a few:
    1) Do you see a little yellow icon on the lower left corner of the browser, if so click on it to see what the error message is.
    2) Otherwise, click View (from the menu) and select Java Console (this requires that Java Console is enabled) to see if there is any error message there.
    3) Perhaps you applet doesn't require a Java plugin and therefore do not need to be converted with the HTMLConverter.
If after having checked all of the above and you still have problem, try my applet FAQ page at:

    Hope this helps...

  • Plug-in not loading - Audition 2.0

  • VST plug-ins not loaded at all Snow Leopard 10.6

    Hi
I am using abelton live, and install waves 7 (does support snow leopard 10.6), and I don't see any recognition whatsoever for VST in premiere cs5
if I go inside the package of the application , i can see the plug-ins folder, but where is the "user" plug-ins folder.
on a Mac the folder is in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST
this is not the location where premiere is looking to load the VST, in the splash screen you don't see it loading Waves plug-ins for example.
does anyone know why / how to truely enable VST on CS5 Mac?
    thanks
    Ami

    Arri,
Usually, PrPro will survey most of the system, and load all VST's found. However, three things can happen:
1.) the VST is loaded and can be used by PrPro (not sure if this is the case with your particular VST)
2.) the VST is loaded, but PrPro cannot use it. There is most often a one-time message to this effect. The VST will NOT appear anywhere in PrPro.
3.) PrPro attempts to load the VST, but cannot. At this point, in later versions, a blacklist file is written, and each such VST will be added, when one launches. The launch will fail, until all such VST's are "blacklisted." When that blacklist has been completed, PrPro will launch fine, ignoring each of those problem VST's.
Just not sure about your particular VST. Does it say that it will work in PrPro? Not all will.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
PS - seems that there are a couple of threads on Wave7.dll, but do not recall the specifics. I'd suggest a Search of this, and maybe the CS4 and Earlier fora, and some reading.

using visual studio report uses charts.  works fine on development machine when I move the web app to a test machine which does NOT contain visual studio, the chart report does not worknote: other reports which only display data records work fine. the space where the charts should be displayed contain the following two lines CrystalReportViewer - CrystalReportViewer1 Error: Fail to render the page.  any help would be appreciated

    Solution suggested worked for me.
On my test server Crystal was trying to use the c:\temp directory to write the temporary images, my report always ran ok on the test server.  On the live server CRW was running under with the ASPNET account and / or my own user account.
I ran FileMon and filtered on the aspnet_wp.exe process across both servers and ran the application up to the point of generating the issue.  The FileMon output from the test server showed no issues we as the output from FileMon off the live server showed an access denied message.
I gave access right to the relevant accounts on the relevant folders on the live server and the report ran fine.
