  • Self service procurement and plan driven procurement in classic scenario

    hai friends,
i have configured self service procurement and now i am configuring plan driven procurement in classic scenario.my doubt is suppose  a shopping cart is created and placed in a sourcing application of the professional buyer. And assume he accomplished sourcing activity and created purchase order .Now purchase order is created locally or in the backed.i am using classic scenario ,now can u tell where the purchase order is located? if i want to place that particular purchase order in SRM  it self what will i do? thanks in advance.

    Hi Chandra
before going to select Business scenario (self service, plan driven..etc), you must freeze the technical scenario. Depends upon your technical scenario, your PO will be created .
Where PO is created it is called leading system. It is SAP standard.
If you were selected  Classic- Po created in R/3.- R/3 is a leading system .
if you were select ECS- > PO will created in SRM and Copy also will be created in R/3 system. In EBP only you can edit the PO not in r/3. here SRM is a Leading system.

  • FAIL TO CONNECT TO OID SELF SERVICE CONSOLE AND SSO

Since a server crash on 29 Dec I have been unable to connect to OID Self Service Console or login with SSO (even though EM says both are up). When the mid-tier went down http server, portal and webcache would not start due to all three looking for wrong wallet location. • OEM12c Self-Service App and OVM3

    Good afternoon,
Currently I have an OVM3 cluster up and running, managed by an OEM12c instance. It's possible to manage VMs, deploy templates, delete, shut down, power up, et al. I've been trying to get the self-service application to work in order to deploy templates and ran into a few difficulties. Here's a process profile:
    - With 'create like', cloned self-service app role from built-in SSA-User role
    - Created user, associated user with cloned SSA-User role only
    - Propagated basic OEL5u5x64 template downloaded from Oracle into OEM software library, keeping the template as a .tgz file
    - Assigned quotas in setup/cloud/infrastructure for the role
    - After 15 minutes or so, the requested VM shows up in Enterprise/Infrastructure Cloud under 'targets under creation'
    - There is no sign of data import or new directories under OVS/VirtualDisks directory on OVS servers
    Under OEM/Jobs, the following:
Step: Update Request To Executing     Succeeded
    Step: Check Privilege               Succeeded
    Step: Evaluate Parameters          Succeeded
    Step: Check Feasibility               Succeeded
    Step: Check Import Status          Succeeded
    Step: Import Component               ...
'Import Component" runs for about an hour and then fails with:
Initiating import of software library entity identified by: oracle:defaultService:em:provisioning:1:cmp:Virtualization:Template:B20427B903624B11E04010AC77101520:0.1 on 3110-lab
Number of SRs in the target : 1
Selecting the repository OpenFiler-250G with uuid 0004fb000003000030ccb045ec8d6503 as target for import.
Successfully submitted job for import: Import_2011-11-28_11-16-22-329_0
Timed out while waiting for import to succeeed. The job will be aborted.
I'm not sure which logs I should be scouring for this item, but I've tried it multiple times with the same "timeout" results.
Any assistance or help would be immensely appreciated.

Many thanks for the input, guys.
The solution was in adding a password to the software library user, under Infrastructure Cloud, Setup, Software Library User Config. It was blank. Added in a pwd, re-sync'ed the OVM server and we're good to go. I missed that memo for the configuration for OEM12c, it appears.
    Thanks again.

  • Afaria Self Service Portal and Enterprise signed Afaria : Question

Afaria has an SSP where users can download Afaria signed using an enterprise license (which sybase started doing a couple of months back). The problem is even though we sign it using an apple enterprise license, we still get an error after downloading Afaria, asking if we "Trust" the application. This is not allowing the "apply enrollment code" function on the SSP to work, till the user manually overrides the "trust" warning. Anyone out there who faced a similar problem, and somehow bypassed the "trust" thing ?

    Ok Sure,
As of now I have process with ignoring this warning.
Can you please help me if you have any good document related to post installation configuration of Afaria from Technical point of view. (Please note that I am a Basis Consultant and need to hand over the system to function team).

  • ISE 1.2 SMS Notification for Self Service Guests

Is there a way to have guest account credentials created through using the Self Service feature sent via SMS text?  I have read where this can be setup via the sponsor portal, but I have not seen much about self service option
Also, is there an SMS gateway that can be setup easily for testing this funcionailty?  Thanks.

ISE 1.2 does not support sending credentials to Self Service Guests via SMS message.
This feature, sending credentials to Self Service Guests via SMS message and email, will be in version 1.3.  This release is tentatively scheduled for the end of July 2014.

  • How to use Applicant Hire in Manager Self-Service

    Hello,
I was trying to use the Manager Self-Service -> Applicant Hire function.
I created a requisition in Core Apps using the Business Group Name HR Set Up -> Recruitment - > Requisition and Vacancy form.
I then created a vacancy against the requisition.
I then created a applicant against that vacancy.
I then went into the Self Service function Applicant Hire from the Manager Self-Service responsibility and tried searching by applicant no, last etc. But no results came up.
Any idea why the applicant is not comping up in the search ?
    Thanks,

hi, hav u created webdynpro iView..
Suppose you want a new area which has two servicex.. create WD iView which would point to your application.
Define  Applicationparameter  in iView defining menuarea, menugroup, menuheader, which you will be defining in SPRO.
Now create weddynpro proxy page and the add above iView to your page.
Now create iView for service i.e your webdynpro appliaction.
Now add above iView to new proxy page. Thus now we have to proxy page.
Create workset and add this two page to workset.
Add this workset to ESS role.
note down PCD location of above two pages. Now all necessary configuation from portal side is completed
Now u would need to do your SPRO setting.. Go to resource node and create resouce. and give  PCD location in URL of PCD Page. Similarly you would need to do this for other page also ...in resouce node.
Now we have defined resouce...now we would define the area...give your area name..and give resouce name.
Now define subarea.. and add subarea to areas..from assing sub-area to area node.
Now create a service..from define service node..give resouce name in link resouce text box..
    Now assign service to subarea..
Now to make it available on overview page....you need to add Group page to Group Area page, to make it visible on ESS Overview Page.
IMG-> Cross Application Components -> Homepage Framework->Areas -> Assign Areas to Area Group
Pages -> Assign Areas to Area Group Pages (Add and change Entries).
    Click on u2018New Entriesu2019.
    Now you can save..it..

    IDOC
    Data Creation in Idoc
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system. Instead of calling a program in the destination system directly, the data is first packed into an IDoc and then sent to the receiving system, where it is analyzed and properly processed. Therefore an IDoc data exchange is always an
asynchronous process. The significant difference between simple RFC-calls and IDoc data exchange is the fact, that every action performed on IDocs are protocolled by R/3 and IDocs can be reprocessed if an error occurred in one of the message steps.
While IDocs have to be understood as a data exchange protocol, EDI and ALE are typical use cases for IDocs. R/3 uses IDocs for both EDI and ALE to deliver data to the receiving system. ALE is basically the scheduling mechanism that defines when and between which partners and what kind of data will be exchanged on a regular or event triggered basis. Such a set-up is called an ALE-scenario.
IDoc is a intermediate document to exchange data between two SAP Systems.
*IDocs are structured ASCII files (or a virtual equivalent).
    *Electronic Interchange Document
*They are the file format used by SAP R/3 to exchange data with foreign systems.
*Data Is transmitted in ASCII format, i.e. human readable form
    *IDocs exchange messages
*IDocs are used like classical interface files
IDOC types are templates for specific message types depending on what is the business document, you want to exchange.
WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.
FOr testing you can use WE19.
    How to create idoc?
*WE30 - you can create a IDOC type

An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data...
1.IDOCs are stored in the database. In the SAP system, IDOCs are stored in database tables.
2.IDOCs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
3.IDOCs are independent of the direction of data exchange.
The two available process for IDOCs are
    Outbound Process
    Inbound Process
AND There are basically two types of IDOCs.
    Basic IDOCs
Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.
    Extended IDOCs
Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.
To Create Idoc we need to follow these steps:
    Create Segment ( WE31)
    Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
    Create Message Type ( WE81)
Assign Idoc Type to Message Type ( WE82)

  • Location update provision on self service page

As per new business requirement we have to provide update Location feature to Employees and Managers on Self Service pages.
    Navigation are:
VAL Employee Self-Service > Employment Details
VAL Manager Self Service > View My Team
Could you please advise what would be the best approach for providing this update feature.Does Oracle provide any option for customizing OA framework pages as we have CUSTOM.PLL for cutomizing oracle forms ?
As we are unable to find any guide/turtorials for customizing Oracle self service pages.
We are planning to add a new function for update location to the Employee/Manager Self Service responsibilities. Please suggest if we can go ahead with this or is there a better option? Please advise!

Oracle deliver a 'Change Location' self-service function out-of-the-box. Is that something you've looked at?
Check out the Deploy Self-Service Capability Guide, Part No. E13507-04, currently available here:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B53825_08/current/acrobat/121sshrig.pdf
Search for 'Change Location' in there - there's lots of info.

  • OIM 11g  UDF of UI type Lookup not reflected in Self Service Profile Page

I created one UDF of type lookup in admin console. published the sandbox. Then I logged in self service console and created a new sandbox. I wanted to make udf visible in self service page so I started customizing the create user page. But the newly created udf is not visible under userVO.
    Steps to re-produce the issue:
    1. create a new sandbox in admin console. create a new udf of type lookup. publish the sandbox.
    2. login to self service console. create a new sandbox and start customizing. go to create user page. click on customize. select source and select the panel to add the udf. select data component catalog, select userVO. Under this userVO, my newly created UDF is not visible.I cant find my new lookup type udf. I can see the udf created in usr table in DB.
Please let me know if anybody have faced similar issue and its resolution.
    Thanks,
    Kalpana.

can you check whether remaining custom UDFs are appearing?
Is it a problem just with Lookup UDF type?
Also, this sandboxes are very error prone. So you need to make sure only 1 person is working during 1 specific work with sandbox
