hallow i use the logical data base pnpce
and i wont in period that just the option of the other priod
be active
how can i do that?

Hai,
           For activating the other period in the Pnp-ce period
            1. Go to attributes in the editor
            2. click the HR report category
            3. GIve the name u have created for selection screen
            4. Check the option other period in it and deactivate other options
            5. It will be show the other period after it has been saved.

PNP standard screen Reporting period

Hi All,
The PNP standard screen has a parameter Reporting period.
Could anyone please explain that if I select a Key date then what will this date be matched against in the database? Will it be the begda of an infotype?
Also, same with selecting "other period" what would this range be checked against?

Hi,
When you select Key Date, all the employee records fetched which valid as on the Key date (i.e. All the records with BEGDA < KEYDATE < ENDDATE).
Similarly for other field, employee records are fetched as on valid on the range given in the 'other period'.

HR ABAP - PNP selection screen

Hi Friends,
I am executing the standard report with PNP logical database .
But in the selection screen when I click on further selection and select the parameter company code.
Now I entered the company code "0060", but I am getting the out put for both company code 0060 and 0020,
here I need the out put only for the person which are belongs to company code 0060, but I think the selection screen company code was not controlling the out put.
Also I checked the Infotype internal table p0001, here I am able to see both the company codes, and for that person the process is continuing and I am getting the out put for the company code 0020, bcz the current/valid record for this person is 0020.
Request to let me know any issue there?

You need to set "person selection period" dates, in order to list values with selected parameters.

Hi i'm using the PNP logical database in my report, and i want to hide all fields in the 'Period' frame.
is there any way to do it automatically or is it necessary to hide them one by one??

If you can put them all in the same screen group, you may be able to do this. But you might run into problems when you re-generate.

How does works default parameters in a program with logical database PNP?

I have a basic program, i need to filter info with period parameters in a program that uses logical database PNP, but it doesn't work.
If i use "person selection period" that it's suposed to filter info according to infotype 0001 (as the sap help says), it doesn't work, i use: PNPBEGPS = today and PNPENDPS = today, and the result it's a lot of registers that doesn't meet that criteria.
Also i tried with: data selection period, today, up to day, current month. And the result it's with the same problem.
How does works period parameters in a program with logical database PNP?
This it's the program example, i use the default category.
REPORT ZRPHRTEST.
tables: pernr.
infotypes: 0001.
start-of-selection.
get pernr.
write: pernr-pernr, p0001-begda, p0001-endda.
end-of-selection.
write 'fin'.

Define pernr table under tables statement then and use GET PERNR event.This get event is followed by End-Of-Selection.
Syntax: Tables pernr.
Get pernr.
Try, activate and test. This should solve your problem.

i m using a logical database PNP and report catagory 1PY_DEF in my program.
but when i execute it , it shows to selection box. one name is period and second is selections.
but i just want to show only period box selection fields , not the selection box fields.
how it iz possible.

In my case i haved used the PNP logical database..in the selection box i don't wnat to display Contorling area,Cost Center & Organizational Unit. i have written this code to hide those fields..
AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
LOOP AT SCREEN.

       screen-name CS 'PNPKOSTL' OR
       screen-name CS 'PNPORGEH'.

Try modify hide the total block instead of individual fields in that block.

HR-ABAP: Defaulting Radio Button on Selection Screen of PNP LDB

Hi all,
I am using PNP LDB (Logical Database) for program which is used for Payroll Results.
Now I have a requirement wherein it is necessary to select 'Up to today' as default on the selection screen.
We are having 4.7C version of SAP. I tried following code in INITIALIZATION event:
Initializing Selection Screen Data Selection Option to 'Up To Today'
INITIALIZATION:
MOVE: 'X'    TO    pnptimr4, " This is the option which I want as Default selection.
         space TO    pnptimr1,
         space TO    pnptimr2,
         space TO    pnptimr3,
         space TO    pnptimr5,
         space TO    pnptimr6.
But still I dont see this Radiobutton getting selected as Default selection while running the program.
By Default it selects Option : 'Other Period' (pnptimr6).
Any Idea how to resolve this ??

When the INITIALIZATION event occurs, you can set default values for the selection screen.
The fields for the data selection are defined in structure QPPNP.
Possible values for field PNPTIMED are:
D     =      Today (key date)
M     =     Current month
Y     =     Current year
P     =     To current date
F     =     From today (from current date)
The person selection fields are defined in include program DBPNPSEL. They are internal tables that must be filled using APPEND.
so in intialization you have to write code as
PNPTIMED : P.
so up date will be defaulted in selection screen.

PNP - Selection scr een

Hi Friends,
I have one doubt on selection screen of logical database PNP.
I enter the date in selection screen as 01.06.2006 to 31.12.2006 for both data selection and person selection.
In the database table date(begda) is 01.01.2000.
When i use provide * from p0001 between pn-begda and pn-endda..endprovide,
it automatically changes the date in table to selection screen date, ie from 01.01.2000 to 01.01.2006. So brings all the data even though date in table exists only up to 01.01.2000. How can i solve this?

No, i want all the records for a person during a particular period. All actions from pa0000. Now i validated the data selection between loop-endloop. But it does not validate the person selection. Any idea Please.

Read last period of infotype without logical database

Hi,
I'm looking for a FM that retrieves last period of one infotype without using logical database pnp, so rp-provide-from-last isn't a solution
Now, I'm using a home made solucion:
First I use HR_READ_INFOTYPE function to read all periods of infotype, then I sort the table by endda (descending) and get first register of table.
But I really prefer using a SAP function module.

You can use the same FM "HR_READ_INFOTYPE" & pass begda = sy-datum and endda = '12/31/9999'.
You will get only one record i.e. latest one.

PNP Selection Cursor

Hi Guys/Dolls
I have an ABAP program that uses a PNP Logical database.
When the application is launched the "Other period" is automatically selected I have managed (with your help) to make "Today" to be the default via the use of the following statement.
pnptimed = 'D'.
2 other questions
1) The cursor doesn'tt seem to have moved still in the date of the other box how do
I make it move to the default which is now set to "Today".
2) As a matter of curiosity how would I make the current month the default or any other selections the defaults? Are there similar statements like pnptimed = D.?

The following 2 statement will set Today as the default on the PNP
selection and also move the cursor to that field.
pnptimed = 'D'.
SET CURSOR FIELD 'PNPTIMR1'.

Though it appears as Other period if you wants to use the ToDays date as default in program
in the start of selection
write
if pnptimr6 = 'X'. (check whether that button for other period is correct or not)
 pnpbegda = sy-datum.
 pnpendda = sy-datum.

Customizing MSS reporting selection period dropdown list

We have diffrent ABAP programs that uses the PNP logical database and we want to customize the period selection dropdown list on the MSS reporting iview. In same scenarios we want to display only 'Today'. In these scenarios we use the report together with a variant.
When the user execute the report, the selection period on the variant is used and that is 100% correct. The problem is that the user change the selection period on the frontend (on the Iview) and this is not what is reflected on the output of the report, becasue the report uses a variant.
Therefore we want to customize the period selection dropdown list on the Iviewin the scenarios where a report uses a variant.
I know that we cannot customize the perido selction on the Iview, beacue we cannot set the properties on the Iview.
Is anybody familiar with how we can accomplish this.

We do have a property in the iview for which you can set the period. You need to know the name of the property. Give us the iview name so that we can have a look.

Not able to hide all fields on PNP selection screen.

           i wanted to hide all the field which are given on PNP selection screen, with the help of the
report category i have hided all the field including the Person selection period as i require only the
Data selection period. further through coding as below iam able to remove all the radio buttons
Today, Current month,Current year, from today, upto today,Other Period . But i am getting spaces above period (PNPBEGDA and PNPENDA) . i.e in the frame Period i have spaces being left due to
the radio buttons being Hidden . Could any one let me know how to remove the spaces so that
Period range will set exactly in the frame.

Can we modify the pnp selection screen and get only month and year?

Dear Freinds,
              I have requirement where i have to modify the PNP selection screen. So with the help of report category and coding in AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT , i have modified all the fields relating to dates . i.e i have removed all the radio buttons (i.e Today, Current month,current year etc) and finally
i have landed with only Period ( PNPBEGDA & PNPENDDA range) . But i dont want the PNPBEGDA & PNPENDDA range , but i want only is the month and year ( i.e just like the PNPPABRP & PNPPABRJ)
on my selection screen along with the pernr .
i have used the below code to close all the fields except pnpbegda and pnpendda.
AT Selection-Screen output.

   The requirement is that the user doesnt want to enter the date range i.e for ex: 01012008 to 31012008.
As per the requirement the user will enter only the month and year only . so i on the selection screen
i want only the month and year only . Is there any means i can modify the date period which is there by
default (PNPbegda and PNPendda) on PNP selection screen. Instead of we givign to the user the
PNPBEGDA and PNPPENDA i want is only month and year .
AS already the code has already been written and now they have asked that they want only the month and year on the selection screen.
Please suggest me in this regard.If iam hiding all the buttons relating the dates fields, and now if iam adding the parameters for the month and year it is coming below below the fields pernr , personnel ara and subara , company code , payroll area, employee group of the standard fields of PNP selection screen , there by any body could please suggest me how to change.
