PO copy in SRM 7 leads to short dump

Hello,
We are implementing SRM 7 Level 9 with ECS.
Each time we are trying to copy one PO we get a short dump :

It occurs with PO created from scratch or generated from SC.
In st22 we have :
OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED_NO     CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL
Everything is full standard. We tried with a SAP ALL/SAP NEW user.
Thanks in adance for your help

  • Short dump ITS_ERRMSG_EXCEPTION in prod.

    Hi,
Could anybody of you tell me what is the reason for getting frequent Short Dumps in SRM Production system as Short dump ITS_ERRMSG_EXCEPTION and what should be the remedy to get rid of that.
Looking forward to listen you in this regard.
    Regards.

    Hi ,
    Try the below NOTE.
    1034093
For SRM 4.0, you must use SAP Basis 6.40 Support Package 13 or higher (SAPKB64013+) to manually implement the corrections using transaction SNOTE. Import such a Support Package if necessary.
    or else try this note.
    Note 1049024 - Error messages "ITS_ERRMSG_EXCEPTION" (2).
    Hope this helps.

    Hello friends,
    Rich,
The piece of code you suggested didn't work, and still led to the short dump.
    Naimesh,
I agree that XVBRK is not declared globally, and if it is a Table, and declared as global work area using Tables, we could have used it directly using ASSIGN (VBRK)...
But, since its not the case, I am not able to do so...
Still, my requirement remains the same. I have to get the invoices created (in memory) but not saved during a collective billing run.
And the required data is available in the (SAPLV60A)XVBRK internal table, from which I am able to retrieve it for the first time, but clicking on the conditions tab in the item details leads to this short dump, becs (SAPLV60A)XVBRK[] isn't available at that moment. Still, if it is not available I suppose it should just set the sy-subrc to 4 instead of ending into a short-dump.
    Jürgen Hartwig,
I know ZPROGRAM 1 can't work in ZPROGRAM 2, but it doesnt leads to the short dump either, does it? But in case of pricing it gives the run time error, this is exception I want to handle!
XVBRK is not declared globally, but since SAPLV60A calls a perform in SAPLV61A, it remains in the ABAP stack and we can access it using (SAPLV60A)XVBRK[] kind of assignment.
When the same is called during Item Conditions display, its PBO is in the stack but not other forms (in which it might have defined).
Rich, is there a way to get all the variables available in scope at any instance during runtime?
Well, Jürgen, I though it Germany it was called "schmutzig zuweisen" :-)... by the way, the same method has been used at several places in standard SAP programs with the sy-subrc check.
    Reference Data:
when the assignment happens successfully, the ABAP Stack looks similar to:
    Call | Program   | Subroutine
    10   | SAPLV61A  | some_subrountine
    09   | SAPLV61A  | some_subrountine
    08   | SAPLV61A  | some_subrountine
    07   | SAPLV60A  | some_subrountine

    02   | SAPLV60A  | some_XKOMV_AUBE..subrountine
    01   | SAPLV60A  | PAI_some_subrountine
when the assignment doesnt happens, the ABAP Stack looks similar to:
    04   | SAPLV61A  | some_subrountine
    03   | SAPLV61A  | some_subrountine
    02   | SAPLV61A  | some_subrountine

  • Short dump with error RSW_CURRENCY_TRANSLATION while loading SRM data

    Hi All,
I am loading data from SRM to BW. From data source 0BBP_TD_CONTR_2 to DSO 0SRCT_DS1. Data is loaded from source to PSA. When loading from PSA to DSO using DTP, I am getting a short dump with below error. Can one please let me know solution if you have faced the same problem previously?
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLRSW0" - in
    "RSW_CURRENCY_TRANSLATION".
The main program was "RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 86
    of the (Include) program "LRSW0U09".
The program "SAPLRSW0" was started as a background job.
I have checked the DSO routines and objects, everything is ok. Replicated all currency conversion tables from source.
0PSTNG_DAT infoobject is also active. There is no errors in Development while loading, when moved to quality, the error is throwing.

  • Short Dump while copying Org structure from ERP to CRM

    Hello Experts:
We are trying to copy the Org structure from ECC to CRM.
We have a standard transaction 'CRMC_R3_ORG_GENERATE' to copy the the org structure from ECC or the IMG path:
    SPRO->CRM->Master Data->Organization Management->Data Transfer->Coppy ECC Sales Structure
We have a multiple assignment scenario where each sales groups are assigned to multiple sales offices and likewise, each sales office is assigned to multiple sales org unit in ECC.
This can be achieved by turning on the enhanced version.
In our current business, even though the sales offices and groups are created, but are not having relavance in the business, hence while running in the sandbox system, we ran the program to copy the structures in the standard mode(default) and we could copy it without issues and create the org units for every entity in CRM based on how the number ranges are defined.
What happens when enhanced version switch is turned on ::
While we turn the mode to enhanced version, The system automatically::
    - enhances the Function tab page in the ppoma_crm  transaction to include a grid table, in which you maintain multiple assignments of organizational units
    - generates an extra dialog box to the Organization tab page in business transactions for you to select the relevant assignment path for the organizational unit
    - adapts the consistency check in business transactions to take into account organizational units that have been multiple assigned
    Risk factor :
Once you have switched to the enhanced backend integration version of the organizational model you cannot return to the standard backend integration version. The system will also automatically make changes to the organizational model version in CRM Mobile Sales.
Also this structure will happen across all the clients in the system,so unfortunately cannot try in a sandbox client also of the new environment.
We are building our development box,so while running the above step in standard mode, the program gives a short dump due to long execution time even though we have the same amount of data as in our prototype system.
Also, we increased the idle time value to a very high value.
When I approached SAP OSS,I was told that it is due to the multiple assignment scenario, hence we need to switch to enhanced version in CRM before we run the copy program ( CRMC_ORG_R3_GENERATE )
I am not quite sure if the mismatch of the scenarios between CRM and ECC could be causing this short dump as we could run it in standard mode in our prototype/sandbox environment without issues even  with the same data volume as in the new development system .
I am looking for help from all the experts if they have come across similar issue and your recommendations/feedback if this can be corrected.
Appreciate your guidance/recommendation on this issue.
    thanks!!

In CRM Best Practices Building block C05 is the step by step description how to replicate Org. structure and some of employee's master data.

  • How to copy the SRM-MDM Catalog from PRD to QAS system

    Dear all,
We do have a SAP SRM-MDM Catalog system.
In the production system, we do have 3 differents repositories.
I want to copy a SRM-MDM Catalog from PRD to QAS system.
Is there a tool to export the catolog from PRD and to import it in QAS system ?

  • SRM Create Confirmation - Short Dump while adding Approver

    Dear Experts.
Currently I am facing following issue.
    Issue:
In SRM “Create Confirmation” Screen, when user click on check button and after that if user tries to add approver in approval tab then it is going to short dump. Please find the short dump info:
    Category ABAP Programming Error
    Runtime Errors UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
    Except. CX_OS_OBJECT_NOT_FOUND
    ABAP Program /SAPSRM/CL_WF_PROCESS_MANAGER=CP
    Application Component SRM-EBP-WFL
I had analyzed this issue and following points are my findings.
We have written code in BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI to check the approver is added or not in approval tab. For this purpose we are using METHOD lo_conf_adv->/sapsrm/if_pdo_do_apv_ext~get_process_info (Here lo_conf_adv is object of interface /sapsrm/if_pdo_bo_conf_adv) and the instance of lo_conf_adv is getting from METHOD /sapsrm/cl_pdo_fact_conf_adv=>get_buffered_instance By pasing Doc GUID.
As per my analysis, the above code only causing the short dump while adding the approver in aproval tab. More importantly the CHECK BADI (BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI) is not triggered while adding the approver.
If I comment this code (which is mentioned in point 1), then the application is not giving any short dump and adding approver successfully.
I tried to find SAP notes but there are no SAP notes related to this issue. Also, I tried to find alternate METHOD to replace lo_conf_adv->/sapsrm/if_pdo_do_apv_ext~get_process_info but I have not got relevant method.     Please let me know if there is any solution for this issue.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sasidhar V

    Hi Ritesh,
      Thanks for the fast response.
We are using Process Controlled Workflow. In Doc Check BADI, we are checking the respective approver is added or not in approval tab in "Create Confirmation" Screen. While creating confirmation, when user click on "CHECK" button and If respective approver is not added then throwing error message.
We are using Method "GET_PROCESS_INFO" to get approval information only. when this method is triggered in Check BADI then it is doing respective validations and displaying messages. After that when we try to add approver then the system trying to read entry from table "/SAPSRM/D_WF_003" by passing OID to LEVEL_GUID. But there is no entry in this table and that's why it is giving short dump.
Can you please let me know why it is reading entry in that table and why entry is not exist.
FYI, If I don't use method "GET_PROCESS_INFO" in check BADI then respective code where short dump happening is not triggering (System is not trying to read entry from /SAPSRM/D_WF_003 table) and so it is not giving short dump.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sasidhar V.

  • Short dump in VF01 - Syntax error in program "RKEAK9RECP3000001"

    Helo all,
We recently copied our production client to a QA client and when we try to save an SD invoice (VF01), we get a short dump titled - Syntax error in program "RKEAK9RECP3000001".
    The dump long text states:
"The Dictionary structure or table "K9RECP3000001" is either not active"
    " or does not exist."
    and
NOTE in case of a SHORT DUMP:
if the following perform statement should lead to a short dump, then
the report stated in the short dump is missing (RKEAK9Rsssmmmnnnn)
Check if table K9Rsssmmmnnn exists. If not it should be transported
    from the original system.
Regenerate the missing reports by using transaction SE37, entering
function KEDR_REGENERATE_ALL_REPORTS and pressing button 'Test' and
    'Execute'.
but I tried to run function KEDR_REGENERATE_ALL_REPORTS in SE37 and the problem persists.
Maybe I'm not running it correctly - there is no execute option when pressing "Test" so I enter the function and press F8, which takes me to a screen titled "Test function module" and then I execute.
My suspicion is that table "K9RECP3000001" cannot be created or generated since it it a system specific naming convention K9RSSSCCC0001 in which SSS is system ID (in our case ECP is production and ECQ is QA) ans CCC is client number (300 in prod, and should be 286 in ECQ).
Has anyone encountered this type of a problem and knows how to fix it?
Needless to say, I looked at OSS notes, but did not find the solution there.
    Any thought will be appreciated,
    Yoel.

    Shalom Yoel,
This problem may be caused by the fact that some derivation rules
that were originally created once in a system have been transported
into target system without transporting the dependent objects
as well (the generated tables for the derivation rule entries).
You can see this by execution of program RKEDRCHECK with only
parameter 'Check in all clients' marked. You will then get
inconsistent derivation steps (which refer to a generated table
table for the rule entries that doesn't exist because it was
    not transported).
There are two ways to solve the problem:
1.) If you don't need these steps any more in derivation you can get
rid of them by executing program RKEDRCHECK with both parameters
marked ('Check in all clients' and 'Delete inconsistent steps').
2.) If these steps should remain you have to retransport the missing
tables from the source system in which these tables have to exist
(creating transport requests for the customizing of derivation by
pushing on the 'Transport' icon in the source system in transactions
        KEDR and KEPC).
For each derivation step, the system generates a program RKEAK9R *
    and a table K9R+ System ID+ Mandant+ a number of five figures
from the object number in KEDR.

  • Buffer Table Not Up To Date Short Dump When Publishing Change Version of Bid Invitation

    Hi experts,
We are running SRM 5.5 with Support Level 16.
We have a bid invitation for which a user is trying to publish a Change Version. This bid contains two bid outlines, with one line item in each bid outline:
    ITEM 1: HIER (Bid Outline)
    ITEM 2: Line Item
    ITEM 3: HIER (Bid Outline)
    ITEM 4: Line Item
However, upon clicking on the Check or Publish button, the system throws a CX_BBP_PD_ABORT exception short dump. The reason for the exception given in ST22 is "Buffer table not up to date".
Due to organisational system security restrictions, I am unable to copy-paste the dump from ST22, so I will be typing out some of the details here.
    Transaction: BBP_BID_INV
    Program: SAPLBBP_PDH
    Screen: SAPLBBP_BID_INV_1000
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLBBP_PDH" - in "BBP_PD_ABORT". The main program was "SAPLBBP_BID_INV".

The ABORT subroutine is being called in Step 22 (ITMADM_UPDATE), at the following line:
    * parent guids have to be identical ...
    if gt_itmadm-parent <> w_itmadm-parent.
      perform abort.
    endif.
Upon tracing the variable values in the ST22 dump, it appears the program terminates when processing line 3 (i.e. the second Bid Outline). It appears that the first Bid Outline processes fine.
In the iteration for Line 3, the dump provides that gt_itmadm-parent contains the GUID to the Change Version document header, whereas w_itmadm-parent contains the GUID to the original Bid Invitation document header, resulting in a mismatch and subsequently program termination.
We have tried to replicate this bid invitation in our Development environment, but when executing, both gt_itmadm-parent and w_itmadm-parent contain GUIDs to the Change Version document header, hence the program does not abort.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi Janu,
For Note 1561750, I have looked at the Correction Details and observed that it makes changes to an IF-ELSE block, but will result in the same path of code execution as before. I.e., the Note changes the code from "IF a THEN b, ELSE c" to just "c", but according to my code trace, we are already executing the "ELSE c" block in its current state.
We will look further into Note 1877600. The unfortunate situation here is that since we are unable to replicate this issue in our Development/QA environment, and the Note description does not explicitly fit the situation we are facing, we need to be very sure that the Note can address the issue before bringing it into Production.
Otherwise, we will raise a message as suggested.
Thank you so much for your help!
    Best regards,

What is weird is that this problem does not occur with PO. With PO Product categories search is fine and smooth... o_0
I asked Basis to investigate this performance problem but so far they found nothing. Is there any customizing related to this?
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hello,
Check longtext instructions of note 818837.
In case of Oracle database, it recommends to activate following:
       Badi: BBP_FAV_DBHINT.
Also you could work with following Badis to improve F4-help performance:
       BBP_F4_READ_ON_ENTRY
       BBP_F4_READ_ON_EXIT
Note 818837 refers to consulting note 613121.
Note 613121 recommends Badi usage if more than 1000 category entries must be read from users attributes (Oracle) and activate
      Badi: BBP_FAV_DBHINT

We have a scenario where in if any user try to create/Change/Delete particular types of contract in SAP system we have to issue error message
saying ZIN/ZIR contract creation/Change/Deletion is blocked in SAP. This has to be done from the web application. So we are putting below code
in user exit MV45AFZZ in the form USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE.
CONSTANTS: lc_vbcpic01 TYPE sy-uname VALUE u2018VBCPIC01u2019, u201CWeb application user ID
             lc_zin           TYPE vbak-auart VALUE u2018ZINu2019,
                         lc_zir            TYPE vbak-auart VALUE u2018ZIRu2019,
lc_text(32)    TYPE c VALUE u2018Check long text for more detailsu2019.
    DATA: l_uname TYPE sy-uname.
    CLEAR: l_uname.
    MOVE sy-uname TO l_uname.
*If user ID is not the Web application ID then block the creation/Change/Deletion
    IF   l_uname NE lc_vbcpic01
    AND ( vbak-auart EQ lc_zin
    OR    vbak-auart EQ lc_zir ).
    MESSAGE e830(zv) WITH lc_text.
    ENDIF.
This code is working fine while creating/Changing the contract i.e. Giving us error message so that user wonu2019t be able to create/change the contract.
But when we delete the contract from VA42, Control is coming to this message statement and is giving Short dump. Below is the error analysis of the dump.
    Error Analysis:
During "Exit Command" processing, the program tried to send a " " message.
This is not allowed at this point in processing.
The program had to be terminated.

    Screen number............ 4001
If any one has come across such scenario/any work around for this problem please let me know your inputs. Your inputs are highly appreciated.
I am working on 4.6C version of SAP.
Note: When i issue information/Warning message contract is getting deleted after displaying the message.
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

I exactly replicated the same in DELETE_DOCUMENT also
I am getting the Dump. I tried with exit also , but it continued and deleted. To avoid deletion we have to use Leave program or LEAVE TO CURRENT TRANSACTION.
Delete Function is Defined as EXIT command. so it is not possible to give error message. To convice you i just copied demo program and raised the error message.
it is also giving the dump.
copy the demo program DEMO_DYNPRO_AT_EXIT_COMMAND and make this change , information to error .
    MODULE cancel INPUT.
      MESSAGE e888(sabapdocu) WITH text-001 ok_code input1 input2.
      IF ok_code = 'CANCEL'.
        CLEAR ok_code.
        LEAVE PROGRAM.
      ENDIF.
    ENDMODULE.
    and see...

  • What is Short Dump Analysis and  secendry index  ?

    Dear Experts .
    1.) What is purpose of T-codes SE30 and ST22 ?
What is Short Dump Analysis ?
2.) What is secendry index , How to use it ? How it effects the Performance of a report ?
    Please it is urgent ...
    Regards : Rajneesh

    Hi
A dump analysis is a comprehensive list that should enable you to identify the causes and possible solutions of program errors. The ABAP Workbench generates a short dump whenever a report or transaction terminates due to a serious error. The system enters the error in the system log and writes a snapshot of the program at the moment when it terminated into a special database table called SNAP.
Dump analyses give the user or programmer information about the causes of the error that has caused the program to terminate. Experienced users can use them to identify very quickly where and why this occurred. He or she can them solve the problem.
The snapshot contains the following information:
    Why the program has terminated
    What caused the program termination
Where in the program code the termination occurred
What you can do to correct the error
The values of the relevant system fields when the program terminated
The calls or events that were active when the program terminated
Any other programs that are affected.

Index: Technical key of a database table.
Primary index: The primary index contains the key fields of the table and a pointer to the non-key fields of the table. The primary index is created automatically when the table is created in the database.
Secondary index: Additional indexes could be created considering the most frequently accessed dimensions of the table.
    Structure of an Index
An index can be used to speed up the selection of data records from a table.
An index can be considered to be a copy of a database table reduced to certain fields. The data is stored in sorted form in this copy. This sorting permits fast access to the records of the table (for example using a binary search). Not all of the fields of the table are contained in the index. The index also contains a pointer from the index entry to the corresponding table entry to permit all the field contents to be read.
When creating indexes, please note that:
An index can only be used up to the last specified field in the selection! The fields which are specified in the WHERE clause for a large number of selections should be in the first position.
Only those fields whose values significantly restrict the amount of data are meaningful in an index.
When you change a data record of a table, you must adjust the index sorting. Tables whose contents are frequently changed therefore should not have too many indexes.
Make sure that the indexes on a table are as disjunctive as possible.
(That is they should contain as few fields in common as possible. If two indexes on a table have a large number of common fields, this could make it more difficult for the optimizer to choose the most selective index.)
    Accessing tables using Indexes
The database optimizer decides which index on the table should be used by the database to access data records.
You must distinguish between the primary index and secondary indexes of a table. The primary index contains the key fields of the table. The primary index is automatically created in the database when the table is activated. If a large table is frequently accessed such that it is not possible to apply primary index sorting, you should create secondary indexes for the table.
The indexes on a table have a three-character index ID. '0' is reserved for the primary index. Customers can create their own indexes on SAP tables; their IDs must begin with Y or Z.
If the index fields have key function, i.e. they already uniquely identify each record of the table, an index can be called a unique index. This ensures that there are no duplicate index fields in the database.
When you define a secondary index in the ABAP Dictionary, you can specify whether it should be created on the database when it is activated. Some indexes only result in a gain in performance for certain database systems. You can therefore specify a list of database systems when you define an index. The index is then only created on the specified database systems when activated

  • CX_SY_FILE_OPEN_MODE - short dump on production but not in Dev and Test

    Hello,
I'm getting the follwoing short dump in production when I run the program which writes the data to application server. I have open data set and close data set. Same program when I in development and test I do not get any short dump. Can any know what could be cause for this.
    CX_SY_FILE_OPEN_MODE
Copy paste of error analysis from ST22 short dump -
    Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_FILE_OPEN_MODE', was not
         caught in
procedure "DATA_UPLOAD_APP_SERVER" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING
         clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
When accessing the file "/bw/FTPOUT/BPR/OTHER/test.csv", the system recognized
         that this file is
not open. Therefore, the file cannot be accessed.

The file could not be OPENed in your production system for a variety of reasons - no authorization, file doesn't exist etc. You should have check sy-subrc right after OPEN DATASET and if not zero, yous should not TRANSFER or READ the file and instead you should have given a message with sy-msgid and sy-msgno which would give you the reason. The dump here is simply saying that OPEN is unsuccessful, so any subsequent READ or TRANSFER would throw runtime dump, if done after an unsuccessful OPEN.
