PO Document Type Display

How to make settings to display doc type(NB, etc.) of PO along with description.
currently it is showing only description.

For getting Document type
Select customization of local layout (Alt+F12) at header near to Help button , then select options then select EXPERT tab in that
Select check boxes Show keys in all drop down list and Sort items by key then press apply button.
Once you do apove settings Go again ME23N then you can see document types.

  • Document types displayed as folders when arranged by set to type

    Hello everyone,
    I have an issue with the finder since upgraded to Lion.
    I use to open finder in column view with "Arranged by" set to "Type" and "Sort by" set to name. But the thing is that the titles/names of the document types are sometimes diplayed or behave as ordinary folders.
    Look at the snapshot below (sorry it's a french one): in the left column, display is fine. But in the middle one, "Dossiers", "Contacts", "Documents PDF" and "Documents" are displayed as ordinary folders.
    Note that the issue does not limit to the display. These non existing folders can be selected with my mouse.
    Moreover, it happens randomly and I checked on a new Account: issue is still there.
    So, as anyone observed that ?

    Sorry for the late reply, but yes this happens to me quite often.
    I have no solution to the problem, but it is rather annoying. Especially if you navigate from one column to another. The first file or folder does not get selected instead it is the "headline with the folder icon" that gets selected. Irritating and it looks terrible when highlighted.

    I want to know whether it is possible to change the document type field settings in 'FB70-Customer Post Customer Invoice' entry screen globally eventhough each user can make the setting using Editing Options, but my client wants it to be done globally.

    There are actually 2 ways to do it. The first is a cross client changes using OBU1. The second is more relevant which is SPRO> Fin Acct> Gen Ledger Acct > GL Acct Posting > GL Acct Posting -Enjoy > Define Doc Type for Enjoy Trx  of which you specify by companies, Acct Type and Tcode with the default Doc type.

    IN FB50 screen go to editing options in the top, in that select document type displayed, u can be able to see that in FB50.

    When i am doing a transaction in FB50, I am unable to know the document types and it is not available in the screen. We are using sap EcC 6.0 version. How to get the document types in enjoy transaction like FB50.

    In transaction FB50 goto editing options and next to "doc. type option" you have a dropdown list where many options are available.You can select document type display, doc type ready for input.

  • Quantity field not getting displayed for all document types

    Hi,
    I have made a configuration to include field Quantity(BSEG-MENGE) in the GL account line item display.When I ran the report for stock adjustment account(FAGLL03), only the following document types are showing quantity against them.
    WI- Inventory document
    WA-Goods Issue
    WE---Not showing quantity against (WE- Goods Receipt)
    Can any one please explain. I have seen the original document from FI document. The original document as well as FI document carries quantity.

    Check SAP notes  1063198 and 1117587.
    FAGLL03 display quantity which is updated in FAGLFLEXA, BSEG is not
    relevant in this case. This is clearly explained in the note 1063198.
    The quantity posts through to FI on the 'goods receipt' items, but not on the
    'invoice receipt' items.
    In the FI normally the Quantity is not a 'real' important field, as it
    is more related to the MM area.
    But in the old 'Profit Center Accounting' and the old' Special Ledger'
    the field has been important.
    As the same logic of these areas to 'store' the Quantity is also used
    in the NewG/L the field get only filled in the line, where it make
    'sense' from our point of view, because only in the 'goods receipt'
    lines a 'real' Quantity is posted to the system.
    So as before in the PCA and SL, now also in the NewG/L the Quantity is
    filled in the correct and important lines and postings.
    In the BSEG ('old document segment table') the field is filled 'just'
    as it is send to the FI, but this is not completely correct from the
    business point of view.
    This can also lead to issues with the reporting and summation to this
    field. So with creating the new logic in the NewG/L the 'correct'
    standard of the 'writing' for the Quantity has also been taken over.
    So in the end, the update and display is correct according  SAP standard behavior.
    Actually,Quantities within G/L are never reliable,
    because the purpose of FI is a view on the data according to amount
    but not according to quantity.
    In the FI normally the Quantity is not a 'real' important field, as it
    is more related to the MM area.

  • Document type wise PO with display & optional purchasing group.

    we have six document type from NB1 to NB6 every document type has separate no ranges, & having three field selection as Me21n, fof, NBF,
    in Spro MM Define screen layout at document level, in that we assign document type NB5 & attach field selection FOF in that purcahsing group is optional.
    same other dovcument types we assign field selection Me21n & we assign purchasing group is Display option.
    our requirement is that when i select documenyt type NB5, purchasing group will optional not in display.
    But system shows display & we cant do PO.
    Please guide me or any other config.

    Hi,
    System is giving first preference to Field Selection Key ME21N, so you have to reverse the condition. 
    Maintain ME21N as optional and assign document type NB5 to it and
    For  other dovcument types Create another Field Selection Key with purchasing group as Display option and
    assign that field selection key for purchasing group is Display option.

  • Schedule line display based on Document Type

    Hello Friends,
    I need to display the last or the latest schedule line for the particular document type.
    The document type and Schedule line both the objects belongs to NUMC data type.
    For EX: for doc type 5555 the schedule line may have from 111 to 1009.
    In between some schedule lines may be deleted. But i need to display only 1009 for the document type!!
    Can some one suggest the solution for this!!!

            you want to disply no.of schedul line numbers having particular Document type.
            means suppose doc type DR having 3 Sch line num
                  Doc Type         Schedule line Num    loads
                      DR                    1007                   1st
                      DR                    1009                   2nd
                      DR                    1010                   2nd
                      DR                    1007                   3rd
    the above scenario you want to disply Particular doc type having 4 Sch line num
       now you want to disply number '4' or
       you want to disply latest Scheduline number of DR 1007.

    Good afternoon.
    If you are trying to run a report for a particular cost center (or range of cost centers) and have the report show the GL document number and document type, try transaction KSB1.  You can update the line layout to show these fields.
    If you are trying to run a report for a GL account and have the report show the cost center, run FAGLL03. You can update the line layout to include cost center.

    Yes it is possible. But u have to define ur own Field selection for the PO document type and u have to assign it in the document type NB. Go to SPRO>IMG>MM>Purchasing>Purchase Order-->Define Screen Layout at Document Level

    The "optional" aspect is whether or not the document type has an auth group on it in T003, failing which the check is suppressed.
    If it reaches the check, then it found something and then checks that selected value.
    Moral of the story:
    --> Do not believe SU53.
    --> Do not make assumptions from ST01 traces.
    --> Read the documentation carefully.
    --> Read the code to see how it really works (you can jump to the coding location from the trace).

    I  have one new requirement .  When Materila is creating in MM01, I want show the required Material types in screen.
    I want to block the non used Material types with out removing in T-table.
    I have to do same for VA01, I mean sales docuemnt types .
    How can I give required Document types on screen...

    Hi Ram,
    You can use screen variants and transaction variants. For example, you can create one Transaction variant for each material type (FERT_MM01, HALB_MM01, etc.) and in respective screen variant, hide the MTART field with default value (FERT, HALB, respectively). Similarly for sales document types also. Combined with authorization, users will not know this field at all.

    Hi,
    Hope you have maintained u2018Delivery relevant billing type F2u2019 and u2018Order relevant billing type F1u2019 in the billing tab of the Sales document type in VOV8.
    If you create delivery related billing, the system will pick F2. This is controlled in Item category (VOV7). Billing relevance in Business data of Item category decides whether this is delivery related or order related. u2018Au2019 for delivery related billing; u2018Bu2019 for order related billing and so on.
    Item category is determined by this combination: Sales document type + Item cat group + usage + higher level item cat.

    Hi,
    If you want to check amounts of withholding tax for the vendors, you have some options to view it. You can access the WITH_ITEM, LFC1 tables by SE16. You have too the S_P00_07000134 report. This report is developed for the Colombia but I already used for the another country with the ABAP development for this country.
    Also you can use table join BSIK and WITH_ITEM by SQVI for the open items and BSAK and WITH_ITEM for cleared items. It is more simple and fast.

    In XLR, I can easily drag 'DocNum', 'DocDate', 'Sales Doc Type' fields and specify the filter to show sales doc type equal to A/R invoice and A/R credit memo. It neatly shows various types of sales documents and display them in rows.
    In crystal, I have to drag the 'DocNum', 'DocDate' fields for A/R Invoice, A/R credit memo individually under different columns. Is there a way I can dispaly mixed sales document types in rows? Thanks.
