PO on vendor not created for a company code

Hi,
When the vendor master is not created for a pur.org., I am getting errror message when I try to create a PO on that vendor/pur.org. combination.  But, when the vendor master is not created for a company code, system is allowing me without any error for creating PO on that company code.
I want to set error message for creating PO on a company code for which vendor master is not maintainted.  Please let me know the settings required for this.
Thanks.

Hi
Normally it will allow to create PO.
If u r not maintaining the company code settings u can not proceed with the MIRO.
U might have created PO through MK01.... But FI team has to enter the Compnay code related details in XK01

Raman

  • PO/ Invoice created for supplier does not exist for particular company code

    Hi Gurus,
We have a case where PO created w.r.t supplier X does not exist for any company code A. Also Invoice is generated.
    As per my analysis:
    1. Purchasing organization is assigned to the particular plant and Plant does assigned to company code. This purchasing organization does not assigned to any company code and kind of centrally allowed to any company code based on above link.
    2. Supplier X does exist for the purchasing organization. And in Partner function-For PI (Invoice presented) partner function, it is defined for another supplier Y. This Y supplier does exist for company code A and might be the reason, it is allowing creating PO and Invoice.
Please correct me, if I am wrong or If there will be any other reason for the same. Just for your information, there is no Info record exist for this PO as it is created for service without any material number.
    Thanks for your response.
    Best regards,
    Karun Kumar

You can create vendor only with reference to purchase organization and withoout company code.
for this vendor, you can create PO and MIGO and system will allow but when you try to post the invoice system will prompt you to enter different invoice party. if you dont enter different invoice party, system will throw an error message "vendor is not defined in XXXX.
So in your case, your analysis is correct.

  • Derivation Rules Not Working for other company codes

    Hi,
I have 5 Company codes and only for one FM was activated. now i want to activate FM for all 5 company codes. for which i have assigned the FM area to all 5 company codes. I have also assigned the derivation strategy to all 5 company codes as well. now when i post a transaction for any other company code derivation rules is not being process hence no commitment item or fund center is derived. however for the original company code for which FM was activated in the first derivation rule are working fine means system is deriving commitment item and fund center. can any one tell me why derivation rules are not working for other company codes? do i have to add Company code in source field of derivation strategy? could this be the reason? because in beginning there was no other company code so we did not included any company code field in the first place.
    Regards,

    Faizan,
Go to  Funds Management Government> Actual and Commitment Update/Integration> Activate/Deactivate Funds Management.
In the screen create an entry for each Company Code and Funds Management Area combination.
Activate the AA Derivtn flag if you want the derivation to be called and the Update flag if you want to update commitments and actuals in FM.
    Thanks

  • New company integration - Should or not create a new company code?

    Hi Gurus,
my customer is acquiring a new company and the related population will be integrated in our sap payroll system.
The FI team is now asking for the creation of a new company code (the new population should be maintained separated from the old one, with a different PMO and budject) but the HR Department does not want to manage (for several internal reasons) a new company code.
Now the question is: is it absolutely necessary to create a new company code or is it possible to manage this situation in another way (maybe linking the new population to a new personnel area, related to an already existing company code)? And what about the posting?
From the payroll point of view, the new population should be managed exactly as the old population. It is just a question to maintain them separated from the FI point of view.
Do you already faced a problem like this? And which is your feedback?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Gaetano

Creation of new company code is depending on the legal reason...if you legal department and Finance users decide that this new company is a separate legal entity and Profit & Loss will reported separate, Tax Id number is different from parent company, then all this means that this newly acquired company will need a new company code in SAP. Then comes how they want to do the costing...that may also require them to report all the salary cost to this new company code.
Whether it is a new company code or old company code...you would required to identify these new entity as Personnel area or personnel subarea right?
If the Tax id number is different, then it is best recommended to create a separate enterprise structure and bring the employee under the new CC/PA/PSA.
If the tax id is same, only for costing and PnL , then you can use the existing Enterprise structure and override the costing logic using the Substitute cost center or overriding BAdI in HR-FI posting.

  • Delivery should not create with out company code data

    Hi all,
We have created a customer master without company code data with T code VD01 and subsequently created sales order and delivery with PGI and invoice also saved but no accounting document is getting generated. But we want to stop at delivery only; system should not allow creating delivery. Please do the needful
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Nagesh

    hi nagesh,.
from standard SAP it might not be possible.
    but check this work around:
after creating the COMPANY CODE DATA by the marketing people only you please go ahead and create a delivery till that time the sales order will be in open status.
if you want to stop it through the SAP system:
then you need to contact TECHNICAL PERSON on the same:
MV45AFZZ : USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE for checking while creating a delivery if not created then to throw an ERROR message - this is the only probability to check
but he may not be having solution for your query.
    except the work around.
    please check and confirm

  • Vendor & Customer master for cross company code

    Hi
    There are two company codes:
    AB01 and AB02
I have to create AB02 as customer and vendor in AB01. Same way i have to create AB01 in AB02.
Let me know what all fields i need to fill in masters.

    Hi Meenu,
If you require clearing between the customer and vendor, the following requirements must be met:
The customer number must have been entered in the corresponding vendor master record, in the Control tab
The vendor number must have been entered in the corresponding customer master record, in the Control tab
The fields "Clrg with vend." or "Clrg with cust." must have been selected in both master records.
If you require consolidations at a group level, the following requirement must be met:
Maintain trading partners and assign them during the intercompany transactions.

    Mike

  • Vendor not permitted for company code

    Dear experts,
While raising the PO in srm I am getting the error message as 'Vendor not permitted for company code'.
When I checked vendor details in srm and back end, vendor is exist for particular company code and purchasing ord combination.
What might be the reason for this error?? can you please share your thoughts about this??

Hi. Check all the blocking and deletion flags in both systems, especially looking at the "central block" and "archiving" flags in transaction BP in SRM.
    Regards,
    Dave.

  • Problem for creation of PO for different company code

I have problem for creation of PO using ME21 for different company code.Order is not created.
Please give reply it is urgent.

    Hi Mansih,
I don´t understand what is your exact problem, as I don´t see any company code being specified. But maybe you should check in XK03 that the vendor master data is created for this company code/purchasing organisation!
    Have a nice day!

  • Vednor do not exist in the company code still i can create a po for that

    Hi ,
I am able to create a PO for a vendor which do not exist in that company code but exist for other company code and i am also able to do G.R. But i dont want to do the same .Can you help me where i can enforce the check either in master data or in config.
    Lekhram

    Yes Sanjay,
You are very much right it is not the company code but Purchasing org is important while creating a PO to have that validation. Since I am using the same purchasing org but different company codes so i am able to create the PO for either of the company code. But at the time of Invoice verification it will not allow me and will pop up for an invoicing party. Since LIV is always at company code level and not at Purchasing org level. So at that time either we have to change our PO as per the right company code or we have to extend our vendor to that company code or possibility of any other solution can not be ruled out like intra company purchase account etc.
Thanks for the confirmation. But don't you think it should restrict us at very first level if we want rather than prompting at the time of LIV.

  • Create PO condtion FRA1 "One-time vendor not allowed for this transaction"

    Hi all,
When create Freight conditon for po item, if i choose a one-time vendor , it gives me an error  "One-time vendor not allowed for this transaction" .
Why it happened? How to config system let one-time vendor be the conditon's vendor ?
    Thanks .

    dear wayne,
what is your account group for the vendor if OTA (one time account ) is ticked for that account, the system will not allow you to give the condition type FRA1.
Please correct me if I m wrong and revert back if any doubt.

  • Vendor if not maintained at the company code level

    Hi,
System should not save the PO, if the vendor has not maintained at the company code level. How to achieve this?
    Regards,
    Sattuj

    > System should not save the PO, if the vendor has not maintained at the company code level. How to achieve this?
Vendor Need not to be Maintained at Company Code Level For Creating Purchase Order.
During IR only System will Look whether Vendor is Maintained at Company code Level.
Try the User Exit MM06E010 Field selection for vendor address and Check any Possibility is there.
What you can do is you Can Restrict Users to Use MK01. And give Authorization to Limited Users for XK01.

    Ashok

  • Vendor not intended for purch. org.Purchase Deportment

    Hi Gurus
Whenever we are trying to create the SC with source of supply with one user we are receiving the error message as "Vendor XYZ not intended for purch. org. XYZ Purchasing Department ".
    Please suggest.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sada

    Dear,
I like to suggest the below to check once (as i found on web):
In SAP SRM 5.0 (SRM Server 5.5), the "shop with limit" functionality is a standard capability.
There is really no special configuration required for "shop with limit" as opposed to the "describe requirement". As long as u specify the vendor (if known), acct. assignment (if known), the corresponding cart is created.
Unfortunately, you have not provided the complete error on the Vendor, but I'm assuming it is: "Vendor not intended for purchasing organization". This is usually the case if the Vendor Organization does not have a purchasing organization assigned. Check the BUK attribute for the vendor org in PPOSV_BBP and also make sure the purchasing organization is assigned to the corresponding company code organization unit in PPOSA_BBP.

  • One vendor for two company codes

    Hi Frds,
I have two company codes and i create a vendor which is applicable to both the company code.Is it required for me to create separate Payable reconciliation GL account  for each company codes or creation of one common recco  account is enuf.
Please elaborate on this as am new to this..
    Thanks,
    Rashmi Ravi

    Dear all,
SAP allows You to create a customer / vendor master data that contains information that is valid for all the Company code --> into General data.
Then there is a part, Company Code data, where You can define specific details for each Company Code.
The transaction is the same FD01 or FK01.
    I hope this helps You.

  • PO with Vendor that not belong to PO Company Code Header.

    Hello MM Gurus,
When I create a PO with Company Code 0001, and the system let me selected a vendor who belongs to company code 0002.   I would like to create PO with the same vendor a company code header only.
Any Suggestions please let me know.
    Regads,
    Hector.

    Hello Charlie,
The vendor was just created in one company code(0002), and when I created the PO header data for company code 0001, the system don't send any error.
I really believe that standard system couldn't create PO with different company code.    ¿It's possible in the Vendor Master Data, in particular the Purchasing Views, check some box to avoid this situation?
    Please let me know,
    Regards,
    Hector.

  • Vendor Data for different company codes/purchase organization

    Hi,
In Fax massages of POs the fax number is taken automatically from the filed ADRC-FAX_NUMBER.
We have 2 different companies and each has their own contact number and fax for the same vendor.
How can I differentiate the numbers to each company code or purchase organization?
Where can I maintain different fax and telephone numbers for a single vendor, that can be used in the printing of POs?
    Thanks
    Shachar

    Hello,
If your intention is to use the same vendor code for different company codes, create a new OA partner with the 2nd fax number. You can default the OA partner in the contract.
    Hope this helps,
    Cheers!
