PO QUANTITY ROUNDING

Hi Guru,
I am facing problem in po to round of the quantity in po.
E.G ; we will purchase materials in cantainers, one container 2500 boxes will come.
when ever run MRP system will create PR, if system propose 2000boxs.while convert PR to PO
Stystem need to pick round profile quantity 2500. if more then that like 3500 po quantity shouls be 5000boxs.pls help me how to solve this issue.
thanks

Bhaskar,
Use tcode OWD1 and then create ronding profile and enter your plant and then click "dynamic".
Enter 2000 and 3500 in treshold value and then enter also 2500 and 5000 in rounding value.
reward point if useful

  • PO Quantity rounded off with BAPI

    Hi,
We are using BAPI to create the POs coming from interface.  When the PO quantity input is given as 3.5 EA it is getting rounded off to 3.0 EA when the PO is created.  This is working fine for account assigned POs but not for Material PO s.
Could you please throw some light on this?
    Regards
    Venkat

    Hello Venkat ,
Are you trying to avoid the PO quantity rounding ?
If so , try setting 'Decimal pl. rounding'(ANDEC) if you want to avoid PO quantity rounding.
User exit EXIT_SAPLMDR1_001 is another possibility which can achieve your requriement if you are trying to avoid the rounding.
Please also take a look at SAP Note 569326 and 583676.
Please advise if this is what you are trying to do.
    Best Regards,

  • PO creation from POR: quantity rounded. Why?

    Hi,
when I create a PO from a Purchase Order Requisition (with transaction ME21N) the system round the quantity. Why?
Example: in the POR the quantity is 1000,345. When I create the PO the quantity become 1000.
Where do I have to check the parameters set in my system?
    Thanks
    Fabio

    Hi Rafael,
the material I'm using doesn't have the MRP screen.
When I create the PO the message error is the following one:
Purchase order unit ST allows fewer decimal places only
    Message no. ME678
    Diagnosis
The purchase order unit ST that you are using has been defined in Customizing in such a way that the system uses only 0 decimal places for the order quantity.
However, in your current PO item you are using more decimal places than this.
This may happen if you copy data from a requisition into the purchase order, for example.
    Procedure
Either check and correct your PO quantity, or change the order unit if necessary.
In Customizing, where can I check this set up?
    Thanks again.

  • PR to PO quantity rounding off

    Hi Team
I am facing a peculiar error when i am trying to create the PO with respect to PR
I have created the PR for 1.130(one point one three zero) TO(tonnes). Now when i am creating the PO wrt to this PR then the PO quantity is coming as 2.000(1.130 is rounded off to 2.000)
now the system is populating ERROR as - Materials of requisition 10000012 item 00010 alr. ordered in full
    Message no. 06076
If i change the PO quantity manually to 1.130 then the error will vanish off.
Please let me know how to get the same quantity(without rounding off) from PR to PO during PO creation wrt PR
    Thanking you in advance
    Regards
    Shuban

    Hi,
This just because of rounding value maintained for the material in the MRP1 view either 1000 or 2000 which results in creating PO of 2000 even though the PR has created requirement of 1.130 assume if your requirement is under 1000 then still when your creating PO it would create for 1000 because of rounding value of 1000 maintained.
If you donu2019t want this rounding value then remove it from Material Master, MRP-1view. Then the system will consider the order quantity from the purchase requisition during MRP run and same will flow in the purchase order. Hope this helps you.

  • Purchase order quantity round up - how not to have it?

    Hi,
When we create a purchase order for, let's say 2.5 kg of some material, it is getting created saying 3 kg (the price is correct, but the quantity is rounded).
So, when we send the PO - vendors send up 3 kg instead of 2.5 and it creates problems.
How can i fix that? I dont want to have any ABAP code developed - i believe there is a standard config piece for that.
    Does anyone know?
    Thanks!

  • Quantity Round off During goods Issue??

    Hi Experts,
I have a scenario where I want to allow goods issue (261 OR 311) exactly into the multiple of some value say 25 because my bag size is 25 kg,
Basic unit of measure of material is kg.
Please suggest the settings to achieve this.
    Thanks in advance.

    HI
You can use issue unit maintained in work scheduling view of MM.it is unit in which the material is issued from the warehouse. If this field does not contain an entry, the system will assume that the unit of measure is the base unit of measure. also you need to maintain conversion in Alternate units in additional data in Material master.
    Check and revert

  • Prevent Rounding on Third-Party PO

We use a Third-Party process, whereby a Sales Order is created including items with a certain Item Category. Workflow then converts the Requisition into a PO. Generally this process works, however we can get into a bit of a problem if the Master Data is not setup correctly. If the appropriate Purchase Info Record is missing, the PO item quantity will be rounded up to the Rounding Value from the MRP1 view in the Material Master. For example, the Customer orders a quantity of 6 EA, and the PO quantity rounds to 5,000 EA ! I realise that if the correct process is followed, and the PIRs are correctly maintained, this is not an issue. However, when it goes wrong (which it does occasionally), it can get quite messy, and very time-consuming to resolve.
I cannot see why, logically, anyone would want to round the quantity on a Third Party PO, given it's very nature - if you want to round, do it on the Sales Order. Therefore I am a little suprised that I cannot find any config to control this at either the PO Header or Item level, or that SAP didn't hard-code it. I would be grateful for any assistance.
    Cheers, Paul.

you have to see the processes separatly.
Rounding in sales order serves your outbound requirements e.g. that the order quantity is a multiple of a unit (e.g. if you sell in drums a 200 kgm then you want only 200, 400, 600 allow in the SO)
Rounding in material master serves the general storage and procurement requirements.
Rounding in info record may serve specific procurement requirements, maybe under price aspects.
In case of 3rd party order you may have conflicts between sales and purchasing process, you can always change the unwanted rounding in the PO back to its original value, it will then not round again.
But can you explain why you round to 5 in material master MRP views, while you round to 6 in sales orders? From my point of view it is quite strange that you define the rounding for one and the same material differently, even it is in different processes.

  • Quantity Copied in Purchase Order is not same as Purchase Requisition

    Dear All,
I have create a P.R with Quantity = 154.762,800 , but when this P.R was used to Create a Purchase Odrer but here the Quatity copied from P.R is 154.762 only , which is not as same as P.R , also during creation of P.O , I got a Warning Message as below  ( but i am able to save this P.O) :
Order quantity violates rounding rules (See long text)
    Message no. ME386
    Diagnosis
The rounding rule(s) marked with 'X' has/have been violated:
[_] Rounding via static rounding profile
[_] Rounding to order unit via dynamic rounding profile
[_] Rounding to logistics unit via dynamic rounding profile
[_] Minimum order quantity not reached
    [_] Maximum order quantity exceeded
    [_] Order quantity rounding value
    [_] Delivery unit
[X] Fixed number of decimal places specified
[X] Rest could remain because no variable order unit allowed
    System Response
    Rounding proposal: 154.762,000 ZAE (= 154.762,000 ST )
When you enter the order quantity for the first time, the system converts the quantity and order unit automatically in accordance with the rounding proposal.
If you change the order quantity, the system does not automatically adjust it.
    Example
The following dynamic rounding profile exists:
With an order quantity >= 150 pcs. the system rounds to two boxes
With an order quantity < 150 pcs. the system rounds to 1 box.
You order 160 pcs. The rounding proposal is as follows:
    2 Cases (= 160 pcs.)
When you enter the order quantity for the first time, the rounding proposal 2 BOX is adopted.
If you change the order quantity, the quantity entered remains unchanged. If you wish to adopt the rounding proposal, adjust the quantity accordingly.
Can ne one help me how to check n where to Check / Maintain so that the Quatity should be copied in P.O as saame as it is in P.R.
    Best Rgds,
    sap11

I think i have resolved the issue , here in trxn = cuni the decimal pl. rounding is to be maintain for that particular unit of measure.
    Steps
    1)Use Trxn -CUNI
2)Click on Tab -Unit of Measurement
3)Select the Unit which is to be used in Purchase Order
4)After selecting go to Details icon on top
5)In Conversion format enter the digits as per your need in Decimal Pl. rounding.
6)In my case it is maintained as Zero, due to this reason the digits after decimal are not copied from P.R to P.O , But if this  Decimal Pl. rounding is mainained as 3 then system will allow me to copy the digits upto three digits after decimal.

  • Rounding up values in Print Layout Designer

The customer has a database field in print layout designer and this is bringing back a value such as 0.25.  They would like to create another field which shows this value rounded up to the nearest whole number, ie in the case of 0.25 they would like to see 1.
They have created a formulae field and used the round function, however this rounds the value down to the nearest whole number as per the general rounding rule i.e. round it down if it is below .5 and up to the nearest whole number when it is above .5
Is there anyway to achieve this using Print Layout Designer in SAP Business One 2007 A?

    Hi Samantha,
    Apologies for the delay.
Yes, its possible to do this.  Firstly, you will need to use the fields from my earlier post.  However you will also need to add some more formula fields
The first formula field will work out what the numbers are to the right of the decimal point:
    DecimalRight(Field_101)
Field_101 in your case will be the field ID for the quantity field and the field ID for the above formula field will be Field_102.
The second formula field will work out if the quantity is a whole number, here the field id will be Field_103:
    Field_102==' '
The third formula field will work out if the quantity is not a whole number, here the field id will be Field_104:
    Field_102!=' '
You can now use the Link To functionality to link the original quantity rounded field to Field_103 and you can link the quantity plus 0.5 rounded field to Field_104.
    Kind regards,
    Adrian

    Dear all,
I have a material with UOM as TOA and alt UOM as KG. Now I have to book a order in Grams. I am mentioning as 0.500 KG, the quantity is confirming But if I take 0.050KG, the quantity is not confirming.
    Why is this so?
    Please help me.

  • Rounding Values while creating purchase requisitions using ME51N

    Hi MM Experts,
I have created some materials with a Rounding Value maintained in MRP1 View of the material master.
Whenever I raise a purchase order, the order quantity rounds off to the value maintained in the material master which is the correct functionality.
But when i try to create a purchase requisition using ME51N, the rounding functionality doesn't work.
Example: Rounding value (in MRP1 view) of a material is 25.
The order quantity entered is 4. But before saving the PURCHASE ORDER the order quantity will be changed to 25(which is the rounding value). This is the correct functionality but doesn't happen with the PURCHASE REQUISITION (ME51N)
Can someone guide me on how to make the rounding value work for purchase requisitions when using ME51N?
    Thanks in advance.
    cheers,
    Randi

  • Unit price in Invoice form(Rounding up issues)

    Hi Gurus!
In my smartform I have used a formula to get the unit price of an item line which is giving me rounding up issues as it is calulating upto the 3 decimal places that I require in my output. Is it possible to grab the unit price field (KEBTR) directly into my form for the unit price so that I get the actual amount as in SAP into my invoice output rather than caluclting it in my code so that there is no discripancies.
Like it shows on my form sometimes 98.999 or sometime 99.001 instaed of 99.00 as is in under the condition tab of the invoice, I would like it to show straght as is in SAP 99.000 rather tahn doing caluction and coming to a smallest decimal value.
