Pointer sometimes moves slightly when clicking the touchpad

Hi folks. Just upgraded my wife's old white MacBook to a new 13" MBP and she's quite pleased overall. However, this is her first time with the full-size glass touchpad (her white MB was the early version that still had the button strip). Her usage style is to point wtih her index finger and then use that same finger to click the bottom half of the touchpad (as opposed to using a second finger or her thumb). She's been complaining that the pointer jumps when she clicks. It jumps some of the time (lt's say, 15% of the time) and when it does, it always moves down.
What I think is happening: If you envision her motion, she'll move the pointer to where she wants it and fire her finger south, clicking as soon as it lands. It's not difficult to imagine that she's sliding her finger down just a little bit as it contacts the touchpad. Or possibly it slides a little before she lifts it. I'm not sure. But she's frustrated and before I recommend that she change her behavior, I want to see if anyone else has experienced or observed this. I'm a tap-to-click guy so this isn't an issue for me and when I use the button, I do it with my thumb. Again, not problematic.
Any advice for me here? I find it hard to believe that the touchpad (or its driver) is buggy in this way but of course it is not outside the realm of possibility

Can you imagine the storm of complaints here if this were a regular occurrence with the touchpad due to a "bug"?
In other words, your wife may be patient and get used to the new feel and handling. She'll be rewarded with more pleasure from that new MBP... and whatever else you'll give her... maybe a new diamond ring to make her hand steadier?

Now as you may know there is some icons at the bottom of the mail app, at the top left conner you should have the inbox button and on the upper right conner you should have two arrows to shift between emails. If any of those options works try :
Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings
If that does not work try to re add the account
Last but not least, restore as new.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

IPhoto 6.0.5 crashes when clicking the Edit button

On some of my albums....not all of them.... When clicking the Edit button or double clicking one of the photos in that album, to make it bigger so you can use the arrows to move throught the pictures, iPhoto crashes.
It does this every time with certain albums. They are all jpeg, and the ones that are crashing worked fine before this last upgrade of iPhoto. Is there a known problem with this? I have looked around and seems as though people have had some problems similar to this but not exaclty the same.
Is there something that can be done that I don't know about to remedy this?
Any and all help/suggestions would be much appreciated.

It may be a color profile issue. Download the Automator workflow "Embed sRGB Profile" file from Toad's Cellar and unzip it. Then export one of the problem files to the desktop and drop on the workflow application. Then import the file and see if it will edit OK. If so you can find the files in the Originals folder that are giving you problems and drag them onto the workflow application file. BUT, just in case make a temp backup copy of the iPHoto Library folder beforehand.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

That could be an indication your drive is failing. If you do not have a current Backup, that is top priority.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Bookmarks menu used to work fine. Recently, now when clicking the "bookmarks" menu, it says, "sign in to access your Google bookmarks," but it does no good.

After signing in to Google, the "bookmarks" menu still does not work, and continues to repeat the "Sign in to access your Google bookmarks."

Looks like Google changed the domain for Google accounts. You'll need to edit the Google Toolbar extension to have the new URL. The alternative id for Google to update their Google Toolbar program for Firefox, but I doubt of that will happen - they have recently dropped support for Firefox. I found these instructions in another support forum.
Open up toolbar.js with a decent editor.
Find:
www.google.com/accounts
and replace ALL with:
accounts.google.com
Restart FF.
Login through the toolbar. Enjoy.
My advice is to get your bookmarks from Google and import them into Firefox itself. If you want a backup service for your bookmarks, use Firefox Sync or Xmarks instead of Google Bookmarks.

HT2476 Why when clicking the right mouse button for my external hard drive there is no option for "create new folder"?

Hi there. I'm having a problem with my external hard drive. Actually with only one of them (others seem to be ok...). The problem is that when clicking the right mouse button (or using other ways to do the same), in the drop-down list there isn't an option for "create new folder". Please, can anyone help with this issue?

The drive is NTFS formated. Most probably that's the reason, but there is some info on the drive which I wouldn't like to loose. If there is a way to re-format the drive and save the files, that would be great. If there isn't such a way, then please, tell me how to re-format it. But bear in mind as well that I'm using Parellels and the drive is to be used in Mac and Win modes, both. Just to add some more info: my other drive is FAT32 formated and all seems to go well with it.

T60 freezes when using the touchpad or nub.......

T60p, Windows Vista Business, ATI, 4GB. Freezes when I use the touchpad or the nub, I removed the palmrest/fingerprint reader from the machine, move the nub, freezes. Replaced PR/FP reader, removed keyboard, used the touchpad, freezes. Will work flawlessly with a USB mouse. Finally got through the Package Index Server, but bad battery will not let me complete the BIOS update download. Updated everything else, Windows/drivers, reformatted the whole system, started everything as if new from the factory. Sometimes it wont make it through the WIndows progress meter. Any ideas?

Firefox loads, icon is on task bar but when clicked the graphics slide off to the right but don't fill the screen & when clicked again, falls back into the icon

Firefox, Thunderbird & Quicken were active when I loadad & ran a slot machine game. When I exited the game & clicked the icon to return Firefox to full screen, I could see the image flash off to the right side of my monitor screen and disappear. When I again clicked on the icon in the task bar, the reverse happened- the image flashed from the right down to the icon. When I hover the mouse pointer over the icon, the open screens show up with the red X to close but the same thing happens when I click on that box. The other two programs that were open while the game was active are working fine, only Firefox has been affected. I cannot open the program to access any of the menu items as I cannot get the screen image on the monitor. I did uninstall the program and reinstall a freshly downloaded copy I had to use IE, as I am now) but with the same results when I run it. I did chose to save my settings so if something has been changed there then that might be the problem.

Extremely slow when clicking the Specified Order - New button.

I often use the specified order option on charts to group pieces of information together. When I click the New button for a new specitied order or if I try to edit an existing specified order, it takes forever for the dialog to come up. I have experienced this problem in both Crystal 9 and 10 installed on different machines. Is there some sort of option I am missing? Maybe something that tells it to query the database. I have no idea why it would do a query at that point, it is not like I am using a select list of options from a drop down where it would need to retrieve the values. The reason this is a problem is that it takes me forever to run reports when I am asked to an add hoc report that requires this sort of customization. VERY frustrating....TIA for all help.

I'm having the exact same problem. I think what's most infuriating about this is after waiting several minutes for the "Specified Order" Tab to display, I have to wait several more minutes after I click on the New button. This happens everytime I click the New button, and I have eight groups to create.
I'm using Crystal Report XI Release 2 on Vista with 2 GB of RAM trying to access a Progress database using an ODBC connection.
Is there ANYTHING I can do to speed this up? Is it possible to use the "Formula Editor" to essentially write out the information the Group Options window is creating?

i am new with flash, and i had swf which contains big image it will resize to best fit.
when i double click the image the clicked position come to center of the stage.
i achived little bit, it zooming but image not come to center position.
