Pop up note on website / or Maintenance Note
Hi there,
We are doing maintenance on our site for a day and were hoping to make every page for one day only have a note saying "Our site is under maintenance today - please come back tomorrow" etc
Has anyone done this before with BC and know how to do this? Would a pop up work?

Do not have to do that. If you have a good site setup you would have template and a content holder for top section and footer section for example but in any case you should just do a html note at the top of the site.
With the code you have done there you have a popup and then if you did the link correctly would only fire on a click. You do not want that you want somethign that triggers on a page load.

Can not access websits that are not part of my favorites, very frustrated
I can not access any website that was not part of my favorites through firefox. When i type in the url nothing happens it just sits there. I have tried starting firefox in safemode and still same results. I can not add any type of search engine either. i dont know when all of this happened but firefox changed over maybe a week ago and hasnt been working right since.

Today when trying to download new songs to my Ipod touch a message popped up stating that my Ipod can not be used because I need to update the software to 10.6.3 and to go www.itunes.com. I cant find where to update my Ipod touch to the version on the website. HELP!!!
I suspect you have a Mac with OSX 10.5.8. If so see:

I have found websites i have not visited appear on my browsing history.
At first they look like pop-ups (because they're for online poker and porn) but actually they are visited websites.
I'm using Firefox on my iMac with a password-enabled wireless connection. Since turning on my firewall the problem's gone away but that's causing havoc with my bluetooth stuff.
Apple told me that because I route my PS3's internet through my mac, all bets are off - but i want to find the clown(s) who's been jumping on my wireless for free. My ISP is useless - the only advice they can give is that i change my password...
Anyone got any ideas? any downloadable progs which could recognise computers trying to join my network?

Not displaying website fonts properly

Here's a summary: I used custom fonts instead of letting each website display their own. This led to sites like Github not displaying some icons. I enabled the option to let sites use their own fonts, and the icons in Github are fixed, but I have another problem:

That is most certainly NOT the website's custom font. It's HelveticaNeue-LightExt for some reason.Reddit suggested I use a script with Greasemonkey, but I like to keep my addons at the necessary minimum, and I know there's something weird going on here. If I use another profile, such as with Tor, the sites display just fine. In fact the first time I tested it with Tor, I restarted my regular Aurora session and the websites displayed proper fonts. A few minutes later, and for no apparent reason, they were back to HelveticaNeue.
Basically, I want to let sites display their custom fonts properly, without the need of an add on, and without losing my current profile.Troubleshooting
How to disable extensions and themes
Disabling an extension or theme will turn it off without removing it:
At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button, and then click Add-ons. The Add-ons Manager tab will open.
In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Extensions or Appearance panel.
Select the add-on you wish to disable.
Click its Disable button.
Click Restart now if it pops up. Your tabs will be saved and restored after the restart.
To re-enable the add-on, find it in the list of Add-ons and click Enable, then restart Firefox if required.

I was wondering why when i restored my iphoe5 from my laptop now when I try to play my music and movies a blog pops up saying (the requested URL was not found on this server)?
The problem resolved itself when I resynced the iPod with my computer. I suspect the error displayed when I tried syncing with my laptop and canceled out of it.

When trying to create a desktop icon, it does not go to the URL.....instead I get 'script' and not a website......the script has http//etc but I am not directed to the website......I previously had IE 8 (on Vista).....is that the problem?I do not have any installed plugins....at least none that I know of.....remember I am a new user......Basically, the desktop icon is not going directly to the Mozilla FF to get me to the web site I need to go to.....FF works when I use the Mozilla FF icon.....just not the icons I create.....THANKS!!! When I am NOT private browsing Firefox will not allow me to delete or change the website address in the location bar. My only remedy is to open a new window and search in google then click the link to that site through google. When I swap to private browsing firefox allows me to anter the website address directly into the location bar - but this is a slow [prcess to swap back and forth - also by dint of using private browsing I loose my website information.Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Please help! I have an ipad that I purchased in Australia and my iTunes account is Australian, but when I try and watch Australian TV shows on Australian websites it says that the content is not available because I am not in Australia. How can I fix this?
Are you using a proxy server to access the net?
Or another cause could be that your router thinks it's in its home country (probably china)
I just don't know how to fix it. There's a way but I don't know enough to advise.
You could try googling your router model and 'wrong country' or keywords like that and see if something comes up. -
I have sownloaded an HD movie from iTunes store and when I attempted to play it on my Windows 7 PC a error message popped up saying something about the display not being compatible for HD movies. I have tried changing the display resolution several times but it didn't help. Now it just comes up with a blank screen when I attempt to play it. SD movies work fine. I have the latest version of iTunes installed.
Can anyone help me resolve this problem?Apparently the display is required to be HDCP compatible to view HD movies in iTunes. My display isn't so this is my problem. I contacted Apple support and they have agreed to credit me for the HD movie and I have now downloaded the SD version.

After updating to iOS 6, I can no longer connect to my schools wireless network. It uses manual http proxy. Now however a blank pop up comes up and it will not connect you. Thanks

Since I downloaded iTunes 11, I get a message when syncing my iPod that some of my songs were not copied because they are not authorized on this computer, I go to Store> Authorize This Computer, a message pops up telling me that this computer is already.
So I am unclear, did you purchase these songs or import them from a cd?
If you imported them and still have the CD try importing them again and see if they work the delete the others.
Or if you purchased from itunes re-dowwnload and see if they work. Maybe they are corrupted files and this should resove it. -
The websites are accessible but do not display as HTML. Mirriam-Webster is one such site, but there are many others. However, this Firefox site and my google mail site, as well as some others, display fine.
I've pasted in an example of a website that will not display properly on Firefox but displays just fine on Internet Explorer.Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.<br />

About a month ago I could no longer connect to the internet on our PC. Every time I clicked on the Firefox icon the Netscape sign-on window would pop up. I would try to close it but it would pop up over and over again. If I tried to close it a dozen or so times eventually Firefox would open up but it would never connect. Just today I moved my Netscape file to the recycle bin. No longer does the Netscape sign-on window pop up but following Network Connection error message pops up: "Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection".. This error window behaves the same way the Netscape sign-on window used to behave. Every time I click to close it it pops open again. After numerous clicks Firefox opens up but it never connects.
Do you have this error message on a Mac computer or on a Windows computer?
I've only seen this error mentioned on a Windows computer.
