Populate Assignment field with PO number& Line item in while invoicing

My client wants to populate Purchase order number concatinating with line item (4500000000 0100 )in Assignment filed of accounting doument while doing MIRO.

Hi All,
I am using FS10N to see G/L Account Line Item Display.
I am seeing the Report Display with Coloumns like Doc.No., Type,Doc.Date,Amount in Local Currency etc etc
There is coloumn showing Assignment.The entries are not getting populated/displayed under the same coloumn of Assignment
When I go to Change Layout I see th Assignment field but the nothing is getting dislayed under the Assignment coloumn when I run FS10N/FBL3N.
How do I solve the above problem?

Actually when i do FS10N or FBL3N to see G/L Account Line Item Display i am able to see the display of the G/L Account but there is a coloumn under Assignment and it shows no entries i.e. Assignment coloumn is blank.What should i do so that i get entries for assignment field because there are entries made in Assignment field.Table is BSEG and the field is ZUONR.How do i get these entries in the G/L Account Line item display for G/L Account using FS10N ?

Update MKPF-MBLNR (Material Document Number) in BSEG-ZUONR
but already i tried AC_DOCUMENT i got a problem .
What i did,
first use MB_DOCUMENT_BADI with method
mb_document_before_update.
here i tried to get the material document and export into memory
after use AC_DOCUMENT With method
change_after_check.
here Import the material document doc num and pass it to Assignment field in
but it is not working
when i debug first trigger the AC_DOCUMENT And then it goes to MB_DOCUMENT_BADI
Plese help me regarding this.

Thanks, I will check the same. Well, I will be clearing the documents with reference to MIGO number itself. When I do my delivery chrgs migo, that number I need to be populated in my line item's assignment field. Not only that but I the same number should get populated in the delivery charges miro. Since my miro is with ref to PO it becomes difficult to fetch the field.
Plz let me know if you can help me on this as well.

Gr Ir Assignment Updation with PO and Line Item
In the GL for GR IR Account the sort key was not maintained with PO number due to which the assigment field in the line item was getting updated with the posting date and not with the PO & LIne Item details.
We have made the requiste changes and new items are getting updated properly.
But require assitance in updating the earlier line items.
As of date total line items are more than 0.15 mn.
Please suggest some method to automatically update the assigment field of the GR IR Line items with the PO Details.

You can use a substitution to update the field through FI. Use GGB4 for wirting a substitution you may need some ABAP coding to substitute PO no and line items in the assignment field. rule would be Co code =XXX and GL account =xxx and Posting date earlier than =xxxx then concatenrate EBELN and EBELP in Assigment field Zounr.
Then execute FBL3N and edit the assignment field by selecting all the documents and then save it you should see the PO line items populated. You can leave the substitution on or you can remove it after updating,

Investment order settlement- assignment field with order number in GL code
We are settling the investment order to the concerned asset and in reco account of the concerned asset it has to update assignment field with Investment order number from which order settlement was happend.
For example I am booking all the expences to 1000 GL account code for investment order and I am settling to 2000 GL code.
Investment order number is coming in 1000 GL code in fbl3n and for 2000 asset class (Reco 2000 GL code) it it not showing IO number.
We want IO number in 2000 GL code line item.
Do the the need full. It is very urgent..........

when u are seeing gl line item .onse u enterd inthat screen change layout screen tab will be ther u plz see the IO filed and select that . to next saide it will give urs IO no.also -
Populating Assignment Field with PO number
Dear SAP Gurus,
I have to clear CENVAT Clg account using PO number. I have tried all possibilities, ultimately was partially successful.
I was able to bring in PO number for all SA Documents, but not for RE Documents (Value "00000" is getting populated in RE documents in Assignment field).
To resolve this partial error, I took help of ABAPer, to replace values for CENVAL Clg account for Document Types RE with PO number.
However, when I go to FBL3N / F-03 (For clearing) it shows me "00000" (the old value). Now, when I double click the line item or when I check the table values for this document, it shows me PO number.
Requesting you help me solve this error.
Table values updated but, FBL3N and F-03 not.

I have already maintained Sort Key as "014" Purchasing Document and Open Item Managament in FS00.
Thats the reason why I am able to get PO number in SA Document Types. But the problem was populating PO values in RE Documents getting generated during MIRO.
Therefore, we developed one program (ABAP), to populate values in Table BSEG-ZUONR to be copied from BSEG-EBELN.
Table is getting updated correctly.
However, i am not able to see PO number in FBL3N and F-03.
Kindly suggest, why is that so ?

Assignment field in the document line items

I have a document where the assignment field is automatically populated with values. May i know where and how these automatic values are determined?
I have checked the document substitution but cannot find any rules there for this field.Hi Raja,
What kind of documents are these? If they are billing documents, the assignment and reference fields are copied as per the configuration done for SD document copy control. If these docuemnts are uploaded documents or coming through an extenal system, the abap program must be populating these values based on sime criteria.
Kindly check let us know the kind of documents and how the entry happens.

I am not sure about the t code try O7Z3 or IMG - Financial Accounting - Accounts payable/Receivables - Vendor accounts - Line Items - Line item display without ALV - choose the 3rd option - add the field entry - BSEG- select the field Purchasing Document. As already pointed out use sort key 014

Ship to party PO number line item field updating in ORDERS IDOC
Hi Experts,
We are in the process of creating the Sales order by receiving EDI data from customer and converting in to IDOC format and trying to create the sales order. While executing the ORDERS IDOC message type sales order is getting created successfully.
But our requirement is, we want to store the customer contract details in the sales order. So we identified the "Ship to Party Purchase Order data" in ORDERS Tab in the sales order. While executing, in the Header level the Contract number is getting updated against Ship to party Contract number field.
But during item level process, system is not updating the contract line item number field even though we maintained the value in E1EDP02-ZEILE for the QUALF 044.
Note: The similar scenario, we want to capture the Customer Purchase order number & line item number. For this we maintained the value in E1EDP02-ZEILE for the separate QUALF, its working fine.
Kindly give your valuable feedback on this issue also

See Note 753153 - FAQ: Customer-functions in IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS. Check if EXIT_SAPLVEDA_001 gives you any possibility to do it.

By the way, i looks way to assigned constant business area, however i could not find how to assigned constant to item category or relevant item.

Since you are posting a FI journal I assume you are posting as FI-AP document (debiting actual vendor number). If this is the case, you should use other vendor related document type such as KA that is usually assigned to BTV 0300/100.
You are using document type AB which is usually assigned to BTV 0000/0001 that is unspecified category wherein system does not split rather user has to manually split. Suggest try using KA (make sure this is assigned to BTV 0300/100).
There is no functionaliy available for constant Business Area. You may consider using substitution rules or derivation

While releasing a billing document to accounting, we are getting the following error.
Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 001 not filled.
Let me give more details about this.
We are in a retail implementation. Transaction combining cash and credit are normal in retail scenario.
Normally SAP billing document type is RV which does not allow item category 04000 which is cash.
To counter the above, we have created a document type YV with unspecified posting and assigned to SD document type BV(which is cash memo).
The billing documents with 2 line items with different profit centres, with SD document type BV when released to accounting is giving this error.

Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 003 not filled during AFAB
Hello all,
We have activated business function FIN_GL_REORG_1 on EHP5 in ECC 6.0 and related reporting business function. One of the advantages of activating this for Fixed Assets is now asset balances can be reported at Profit Center/Segment level in sub ledger.
During executing depreciation, we are getting the below error message
Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 003 not filled
Message no. GLT2201
Diagnosis
The field Profit Center marked as balancing is not filled with any value in line item 003, even after document splitting.
Below configuration is done in our system -
Document splitting is active with standard variants for FA accounts.
Segment Reporting is actived under Asset Accounting IMG (under Integration with General :edger Accounting)
Activation of account assignment objects is active for cost center and specify account assignment types for account assignment objects KOSTL is configured for all transaction types (*) for APC and Depreciation postings is activated.
APC, Accumulated Dep and Dep expense account field status groups are changed to have profit center and segment as optional fields for inputs.
After all these settings, I am still getting the above error message.
Can someone please let me know if you had similar situation and how to resolve this issue.

1. Check the asset Master whether Cost center is assigned to asset.
2. In Cost center profit center should be assigned.
3. Specify Account Assignment Types for Account Assignment Object (ACSET)
SPRO → financial accounting → asset accounting → integration with the general ledger accounts →
Additional Account assignment Objects → Specify Account Assignment Types for Account Assignment Object.
You can make a generic entry, using an asterisk (*), for the transaction type. The system then uses the
account assignment type you entered for all transaction types for that account assignment object.
Do the same for all depreciation area then from asset master cost center will flow to accounting document
and form cost center profit center will get derived.

When we tried to do MIGO for a non stock material (Account assignment category K), we are getting an error message that "Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 001 not filled". The interesting factor is that we did the GR for similar kind of PO a week before. This PO is exact replica of the old one but wondering why we are getting this error now.
Please help me in resolving this issue as well as please let me know why it did worked in the earlier time and not now.

Pleaes note that it is not allowing me to enter the profit center, neither in PO nor in GR.
I created two different POs.
a. Both are for non stock material with account assignment category 'K'
b. Material group for both the POs are same.
c. GL Account i entered in both the POs are same.
d. CO area entered in both the POs are same.
e. Ogranizational details of both the POs are same.
f. Ofcourse 'Ordering Unit' is different in both the POs.
When i tried to make a GR for the first PO, it is automatically proposing the profit center and i can post the GR. But when i tried the second PO, it is nether defaulting the profit center nor asking for profit center. It is giving an error message "Balancing field Profit Center in the line item 001 not filled.
We have not changed the profit center or any configirutaions and when we tried to do the GR simultaniously for both the POs, one get posted correctly and the other one is giving this error message.
Can any one of you please let me know what should be the reason ?
