Please suggest how to populate Long text. in 'Confirm. text' using any RFC or  thrugh 'BAPI_ALM_CONF_CREATE' .

    Hi Naveen,
for anylong text related work use the functions READ_TEXT and SAVE_TEXT.
read the long text of the BOM item using the proper header and then populate the same text lines to the PS network using the new header specific to the PS network.

  • Populate long text in transaction QM01

    Hi,
I'm trying to populate long text in transaction QM01, meaning, when the user creates a new notification, a constant text should appear automatically.
I currently use enhancement QQMA0007 user exit EXIT_SAPMIWO0_001.
I found FM IQS0_ADD_NOTIFICATION_LONGTEXT which works fine when the notification already exists, but when creating a new notification I still have no number to put in the FM parameters.
    Does anyone has an idea?
    Thank's,
    Hagit.

    Hi Hagit,
First, in the userexit that gets triggered when saving the notification, call a subroutine via PERFORM .... ON COMMIT.
In this subroutine, you will put the code to update the text and access the notification number using field symbols.
When a subroutine is called ON COMMIT, it means that the subroutine waits in memory until the transaction issues a COMMIT WORK.  Once the transaction has issued a COMMIT WORK, the subroutine is called.
At this point, the notification number will have been generated.
In this subroutine, put a break point so you can examine all the memory areas to find the notification number.  I suggest that the field VIQMEL-QMNUM in program SAPLIQS0 should have it [type (SAPLIQSO)VIQMEL-QMNUM in the watch fields to check its contents].
As an alternative, whilst looking at the transaction, I noticed some BADIs, the BADI CL_EX_NOTIF_CREATE_OBJ looks promising.  Have you tried this one?  Maybe the notification number is passed to you here.
    Cheers,
    Brad

    Hi...
Based upon the folder error, my guess is the Desktop Manager is having difficulty determining your default mail client. I am not sure why but it is easy enough to redo a profile in Outlook just to test this. (Control Panel / Mail)
Of course, I would backup my PST file prior to doing this and then create a new profile and import the PST file into the new profile. Once the profile is running and tested ok, I would again go to the Control Panel / Mail and set the default profile to point to the newly created profile. Then run the Desktop Manager and see what happens....

  • Populate long text in FB03

    Hi All,
We are using tcode FF_5 to update the Account statement .After execution of tcode, one FI document(FB03) will be created in SAP with the data from the file we uploaded.
Currently only short text field only getting updated, but my requirement is to update the long text field.
I used the user exit EXIT_RFEBBU10_001 to populate the long text. But could not succeeded.
Please let me know if any one came across the same requirement before.
    your help is highly appreciated
    Thanks
    Naresh B

    Hello Naresh,
After R&D i observed standard text name is the combination of companycode+document number + year + line item.
    Which object(stxh-tdobject) = 'DOC_ITEM' and text id(stxh-ttid) = '0001'.
When you are uploading file and saves data. Atfter updation of all fields use function module 'CREATE_TEXT' to create new text.
After this when you check document in transaction 'FB03' you will get the long text you uploaded.

  • Folder is no longer part of the system data source....message

I just got a replacement phone due to a hardware issue with my old phone.  I was able to transfer all the data from my old device to new device via blackberry desktop manager, however, I have been unable to get the synchronization to work properly.  When I try to configure synchronization to use Outlook for Calendar & Address book etc. I get an error message when I click finish.  The error message is a Runtime Error: Folder is no longer part o fthe data source, or the folder could not be found
I have tried downloading and reinstalling the software Blackberry Desktop Manager is 4.7.0.37 released March 2009
I have reviewed the solutions provided by blackberry & on this message board, but they do not make sense to me.  One listing states to click on 'Intellisync' in desktop manager, which does not exist in the version I have.  Another listing is referring to check the .PST on the device to see if data is in it, then create a new MAPI folder.  I have not been able to figure out how to do either of these tasks.
I run Outlook 2007 on a Windows Vista PC
     Please help....

Here is the KB that addresses the error message you state:
KB15812 Runtime error - folder is no longer part of system data source or data could not be found

  • Form populates fields with all the same data

I am trying to fill out a form, but when you enter anything in one field, every other field gets populated with the same information. This happens for all fields. For example, if I type "Joe" for the Name field, and move to the next field, "Joe" will show up in every remaining field, i.e. address, city, state, etc. Changing another field will change every other field again to the same string.
I'm running Reader 8 in Vista. I've also tried Reader version 9 and the full version of Acrobat 9 with the same results. I'm guessing it's a function of the original form. Is there a way I can change this behavior myself?
    Thanks,
    Ryan

In Adobe Acrobat you can change the names of the fields. Assign diiferent names to the fields.

  • Routing Long text not populated using LSMW

I need help with the ROUTING LONG TEXT using LSMW. I'm using the standard LSMW direct input program /SAPDMC/SAP_LSMW_IMP . I'm confused with NAME field while loading the data. I have tried to create the routing long text manually after successful creation i opened the Longtext at header screen and opened GOTO--> HEADER there i have seen TEXT NAME is constructed based on CLIENT || N || GROUP || GROUPCOUNTER || INTERNAL_COUNTER (CLIENT||N||PLNTY||PLNNR||PLNAL||ZAEHL - field names)  I used the same logic to construct the test data for another routings which were created and doesn't have the long text. I have run the lsmw program and executed successfully but when i open the routing in CA03 i dont see the long text populated.
Test data used looks like this:
OBJECT   NAME TDID SPRAS TEXTFORM TEXTLINE
    ROUTING N500000890100000001 PLKO E * THIS IS A TEST1
    ROUTING N500000890100000001 PLKO E * THIS IS A TEST2
    ROUTING N500000890100000001 PLKO E * THIS IS LINE3
    ROUTING N500000910100000001 PLKO E * LONGTEXT1
    ROUTING N500000910100000001 PLKO E * LONGTEXT2
My question here is do i need to construct the NAME as i have mentioned above or do i need to just send the Routing Group number into the file for the NAME field. Help me understand what do i need to populate into NAME field.
Please help with the mistake i have done.
Pretty much appriectiated for your replies.

You asked the same question in two different forums multiple times:
Standard LSMW to load Routing Long text
Re: LSMW : Long text not visible after the import of data
Please use same one thread for one question.
I gave you most of the needed information assuming you know how to do LSMW in the first thread itself.
You need to have the following fields in your source structure in addition to other fields like long text
    MANDT
    PLNTY
    PLNNR
    PLNAL
    ZAEHL
In the step Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules  assign the source field MANDT to the variable NAME and then again place the cursor on the variable NAME and assign variable PLNTY, (now you have two source field assigned to same variable) similarly assign all the remaining 3 source fields PLNNR, PLNAL, ZAEHL. (now you have 5 source field assigned to same variable).
Now select the variable NAME by placing the cursor click on Rule (Insert Rule) and select the radio button Concatenation .
Make sure that in  your input file you have leading zeros for PLNNR PLNAL and ZAEHL etc. like below
    50000089, 01, 00000001
Also, you don't need maintain the value of OBJECT, TDID, SPRAS, TEXTFORM as source fields. You can directly maintain them as constants in Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules by click on the push button Rule .

  • Can I populate a text field in one PDF with the modification date of a different file ?

Rather convoluted problem here but I'm trying to place a text field on a PDF document that serves as the main menu page for a library of interlinked PDF documents
The complete library contains over 7,000 files and additions are added and documents changed almost daily.
We currently use batch files to open the main menu from it's shortcut and this runs a check on a sync log file (.txt) to ascertain when the last time the user synchronised with the server to get the latest copy of the files.
Between a certain time range they are told how long it has been since they sync'ed and are offered the option to sync before opening, after a prescribed timeframe they cannot enter without synchronising. We use Allways Sync to conduct the file synchronisation with our mother files on our server.
What I'd like to do is take advantage of Allways Syncs automatic synchronisation options to synchronise on log on and at prescribed idle periods there after.
This works fine but I'd like the text field on the main menu PDF to say when the last synchronisation took place - easy if the main menu is the last file modified .. just use info.modDate.
However, the main menu is rarely modified therefore I wish to import the text to populate the text field from a different file.. either by interrogating the other files modifictaion data (though I doubt Acrobat can do this) or by simply importing some text stored in another file (a .txt file?) which has previously been created by batch file commands.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Nifty Styles
    (Norfolk, England)
P.S.  I'm using Acrobat 8.3.1. Professional on Windows XP (SP3).

Thank you for all your help above.
Just to confirm your advice, am I right with the following conclusions? :
    1. The script (function) to fill the text field with the modification date of a different PDF file needs to be stored in a folder level .js file.
    2. The document containing the text field needs to call the .js function either within the document script or within the custom script property of the text field itself.
Further to that can you just advise on the syntax for accessing the modification date of the other document.
Do I need to assign a variable to the address of the file to be used, and then use this variable in the text form filling script (as below) or can I use a direct file reference at the .modDate command.
    var LastSync = "C:\sync\bin\lastsync.pdf";
    var strMsg = util.printd("h:MM tt",LastSync.modDate) + " on ";
    strMsg += util.printd("dddd, d mmmm, yyyy",LastSync.modDate);
    this.getField("LastSyncDate").value = strMsg;
If the syntax is totally different to the above I would be very grateful for some guidance in the right direction.
I much appreciate your time to help me ... I'm almost there.
    Kind Regards,
    Nifty

  • Populating the long text in equipment

How do we propose to populate the long txt in equipment?  Is LSMW viable option, or would this be more complicated than it
    sounds?

    hi,
Long text always create problem either in functional location and equipements. So it becomes difficult in LSMW .the problem you will face is while recording in lsmw either you will get word document when you open long text and in main upload it will be in a format where only 72 characters per line is possible.
so it is better always if long text is involved to use BDC ..life becomes easy through BDC.

  • Update Time confirmation and Long text of Work Order in single FM or BAPI

    Hi,
I would like to know, which standard FM or BAPI will update the longtext along with the confirmation text while doing the time confirmation of a work order.
I have tried with standard BAPI BAPI_ALM_CONF_CREATE for updating the time confirmation. This is updating the time and confirmation text properly but not the long text. I would like to know how can I update the long text while doing the time confirmation. Is there any other standard FM/BAPI will update both?
    Thanks in Advance,

There is no standard SAP enhancement we can use for this purpose.
We have developed another program to maintian the long text in production order.

Create new message in message class with text like material number & is not valid
    Here  .
& symbol is the place holder. you can dynamically pass some thing to this message. In your validation do like this.
    MESSAGE e001 WITH wa_matnr.
Here wa_matnr is the input field value.Display this message under appropriate events.
eg: AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON wa_matnr  in case of reports.
