Populating appraisal timelines in date monitoring infotype

Dear All
Can we populate or update the appraisal timelines captured in an field or column of an appraisal document directly into the date monitoring or monitoring of task infotype.
For ex:- if we are capturing the date of completion for each KPI / task / deliverable in the appraisal template, can that date be populated or updated in the date monitoring or monitoring of task infotype for further reporting purpose & for effective monitoring.

Hi Ravindra,
This is a cool request and I believe can be implemented using Performance Management BADIs.
The important point is that, you should decide at which point you want to update infotype 0019.
If it is OK for you to update the related infotypes at the time form is closed, then create a new filter value & implementation for HRHAP00_FOLLOW_UP and select this new filter value in PHAP_CATALOG_PA - Processing - Follow-up Processing.
Within new implementation create an ABAP code using HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION function module with I(Insert) option.

How to upload data in infotype 0025 (Appraisals)

I want to make an upload program for infotype 0025 (Appraisals). The program will upload the data in 'Potentials' but I cannot make a recording work in it. Each time the system posts the data into next row and recording does not work since the line number is fixed in recording. There is no + sign to add a row at the top. Can someone please tell me a way to do this or if there is a Function Module that can upload data into infotype 0025.

This upload could not be performed by BDC recording. You will have to make use of around four Appraisal BAPI's to create an entry in Infotype 25(Appraisals). How can I see Timeline in TV monitor?

Hi
Can anybody help me? I use TV monitor as second monitor for seeing my video output, I dont have capture card so I set it via my Graphic card, I am using Edius and I can see Timeline in full screen mode in TV but I cant set it in Adobes products, I changed some things in Preferences but nothing changed, can anybody help me and tell me how I can see Premiere and After Effect timeline in TV monitor via my Graphic card?

RAM previews in full screen mode should give you what you need... Just check the respective option on the time control panel. There's other shortcuts for maximizing the working space to full screen. Look it up in the help. I never use it... And of course the tilde key will maximize any current panel...

Error coming while modifying data in infotype through HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION

I have created a report which reads a excel file fom the system and then upload data in infotype 0077 through HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION. In this report first I check if the record exists in IT0077 for a particular employee , if not then creates a new record with the input file data and if the records exists then I need to modify that record.
But the problem is that on updation the function module HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION always return an error that "Infotype doesnot exist", although its exists in the system.
Why this error comes when once I excuted the report with a pernr number for creation and then I execute with teh same data to modify it, it gives an error in modification.

When we create we have to use INS in the code and when we modify we have to use Operation MOD

Video won't play in timeline or source monitor

I recently purchased a Canon HG10 camcorder and have been attempting to edit the AVCHD .mts files using Premiere Pro CS4 (4.2.1). However, I have been unable to play the video in either the timeline or source monitor. Both the video and audio will play for a fraction of a second and then stop. I thought it might be an issue with the .mts file so I converted it to several other formats (Quicktime, H.264, MPEG4, etc.) and I still can't get any video to play. I imported and tried playing other video, but to no avail. I can edit, scrub, export, apply effects, and do pretty much anything else - but I can not get it to play in the timeline. I do have Final Cut Express and if I convert the .mts file to Quicktime I can edit it, but I would like to be able to edit the native Canon AVCHD.
Current system:
iMac 10.6.4
2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
3 GB RAM
ATI Radeon X1600
74 GB hard drive space
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The first thing that I would check would be your Playback Preferences. Please list your settings, and folk here can review them and possibly spot something simple.
Next, I would do one of two things, regarding your Catalyst drivers for you ATI/AMD card. If you do not have the latest driver, download and install it. If you DO have the latest Catalyst driver, keep it around in a safe folder, but download and install an earlier version. Cannot recall the exact numbers now, but a few users had to go back about three versions. Also, since those driver versions were listed in this forum, I'd bet that at least two more have been released. Going back a few months, it seems that there were 2 - 3 versions, that did not work well with some Adobe programs.
Though I have all nVidia cards, I keep drivers going back about 6 mos., as I never know when I might encounter an issue and need to roll-back.
Also, as the gaming market drives the video card business, and their drivers, it is possible that some gamer-only module has been added. That happened with nVidia drivers about a year ago. For a couple of versions, one had to manually disable a 3D and another gamer-only module. Later versions installed with these off, unless the user turned them on.
Last thought - check your OpenGL settings, and depending on your OS, check Hardware Acceleration. In your Catalyst console, check what your 3D settings are. You want to set any to "Let the application choose," or similar syntax.

Automatically populating a Form from data stored in Access

Hi,
I need help automatically populating a form from data stored in Access. The form needs to have specific fields that are updated from an Access database. I want to be able to enter a site number and have the subsequent list of information (approximately 35 pieces of data) populate. I DO NOT want to update the Access database via the form. The form is for quick viewing and documentation only, not data entry. Currently I've been doing this with VB in Access which exported the data to a Word Document which was then saved as a PDF. It seems easier and less troublesome to go directly to the PDF form, but I can't figure out how!
I have already connected my database to the form using OLEDB.
I don't want a dropdown list and I don't want buttons to scroll through the sites (I've already found out how to do that through this forum).
Any help would be very much appreciated!!

Some more help to get started in this.. would be really appreciated..Are you trying to come up with the graphs yourself? IF so, are you familiar with MVC?

Download data from infotypes

Hi,
My client wants me to download all the data in infotypes(std and custom) from production client. Then they will migrate this data to their new system. What would be the approach for downloading?
1. Through SE16N (we are not authorized to use SE11/SE16)? But couldnt save the data to local file when we use se16n.
even i get se11 authorization -> we can download only 64,000 records in excel. Do i need to split? or any other way?
2. Write custom progms to download data from infotypes.
3. Any data migration tools ?
4. Basis can do client copy?

U can write a report to donwload data, but my preferde way is to use the hr toolbox (Transaction PU12), it's very simple to use .

How to make a value list depending on appraisal's validity dates

Hi experts,
I would like to know if anyone succeed to define a new (specific) Value Class (definition: HRHAP00_VALUE_TYPE) which make a list which is imported from a referential with dates (in a specific table)...
I mean, we would like to conserve appraisal's historic (on the portal), and to put a values list which can change...
And the access to an old appraisal (termined) has to keep the good value in the list even if the list has been modified at the current date...
In fact, in the implementation of the definition HRHAP00_VALUE_TYPE we don't find how to get the appraisal's validity dates...
We need them because if we take the sy-datum, past appraisals would be with wrong values...

I am developing an inbound IDoc, during which i am suppose to insert respective segment structure into infotypes PA0000, PA0001, PA0002, PA0006 & PA0008 through Function Module RH_INSERT_INFTY, its throwing error sy-subrc 1, i can give sample code of it

When the same record is input manually through SE37 into function Module 'RH_INSERT_INFTY', it throws error_during_insert,
Can any guys suggest me to come out of this problem, if possible suggest any other standard Fuction Module to insert data into Infotypes,

Hi Rajesh,
The function module 'RH_INSERT_INFTY lets you insert multiple infotype records for OM objects into the Personnel Planning databases (HRPnnnn). ie the PD infotypes. For updating PA infotypes pl use 'HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION' as suggested by others earlier.

Reading dates from infotype 41

I need to obtaint a subtype of date from infotype 41 but the problem is that infotype 41 has many fields like
dar01 - dat01, dar02 - dat02, darN - datN the subtype that I need is the '01' but I don't know how to get it becuase sometimes is in the dar01, or in the dar02, or darN, is there any function module that can help me?

End User Data Monitoring?

A number of our users are exceeding their monthly data allotments. One user for instance is already at 18gig for this month alone. Many of the users are unaware of what might be causing this ridiculiusly high usage (for instance they aren't using streaming apps so the logical explaination of the overage isn't present).
Has anyone had success with a data monitoring tool which can inform the users of what EACH APP is using? Having the breakdown of which app is using the most data is the key, overall usage is something easily handled via the carrier but that does not help us determine what is causing the excess usage.

I have tried the Onavo app and I was told by their support it only displays the potential "data savings" not actual data used.
We utilize an MDM agent which shows apps currently installed, this one particular user does have the Sirius XM app which I am sure is responsible for some of their usage however other users who are going over have only our MDM (which simply acts as a connector to exchange).

Firstly, we honestly apologize for the confusion. Allow me to try and explain:
The "Saved XX of" parameter displays the POTENTIAL data saving and not the total. For example, an HTTPS (encrypted) connection or Streaming Data cannot be compressed by Onavo.
Meaning, Onavo displays the amount of saved data ONLY for the apps that it can compress. All the reset are ignored.
Unlike this parameter, the iOSs total number include all data that you consume.

     Can i use the standard bapi HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION for uploading data into infotype-0586( sec 80c deduction) and infotype-0587 (pf related).if so what are the parameters to be passed for the upload.

Hi,
yes you can use...HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION for your purpose.
in that you should pass....
INFTY                - infotype number
NUMBER           --pernr
SUBTYPE          --subtype of infotype (if applicable)
VALIDITYEND      -ENDDA
VALIDITYBEGIN   -BEGDA
but before you call this FM...make sure that you lock the employee for which you are updating the record and after this FM updates the record for that employee make sure you unlock the employee...
to lock the pernr ...use FM....HR_EMPLOYEE_ENQUEUE
and to unlock...use FM... HR_EMPLOYEE_DEQUEUE
in both of these FMs you just need to passs PERNR..
summerizing this...first use...
HR_EMPLOYEE_ENQUEUE
then call...HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION
and then...
HR_EMPLOYEE_DEQUEUE
thats it!
