Portal Collection List Renderer - problem with alignment

Dear All,
I'm having an issue with alignment of columns when changing a Layoutset.
This modification is all done with SAP standard components, so I decided to try my luck here first at SDN before writing an OSS message.
Here's what is happening:
I want to have the KM files listed like this:
(as I can't put a printscreen, I will put it on text for you to have an idea)

To obtain this I'm changing the standard object AdminCollectionListRenderer
I do this by going to KM configuration and change this SAP standar object on
Collection List Renderer Settings > AdminCollectionListRenderer
    Flavor:
      From: List
      To: Not Set
    Displayed Properties:
      From: rnd:icon,rnd:displayname(contentLink)+rnd:action,contentlength,rnd:lock,modified,modifiedby
      To: rnd:displayname(contentLink),rnd:lock,modified,modifiedby,rnd:description(\[2;1-1\]/noTitle/maxChars=300)
The result is ok, but there's a very small detail that doesn't disappear no matter what I do.
If you go to the txt above, the "file1" is ALWAYS one blank space to the right. It's not aligned with the
other items on the list.
Has anyone experienced this ?
Is there any solution ?

Check in your type preferences. Apply leading to entire paragraphs will fix this. It's likely that the return at the end of your last line has a larger point size assigned to it, and it's throwing your leading off.

Displayed Properties in Collection List Renderer are not displayed

Hello All,
I have created one custom property and entered the value for a resource which had that property.
Now, when I am trying to display the custom property in any layout, its not coming, even though I have added the property name in the Displayed Property of the collection list renderer.
To check the view is taking the correct layout or not, i changed some other settings of the collection list renderer and the changes are immediately getting reflected. What could be the problem here?

Hello Bobu,
Are you using a different Namespace Alias other than 'Default' in your property definition? If so then you need to specify the property in the 'Displayed Properties' parameter of the collection renderer as <NamespaceAlias>:<propetrty ID>, e.g. rnd:displayname.
Other than that you should check the 'Folder Validity Patterns' and 'Document Validity Patterns' to make sure they are valid for the content on which you are trying to display this property, you may have already checked this.

List of Problems with new Web Mail

List of Problems with NEW Web Mail :
- At first doesn't open full page message list or retain full page as default setting, have to drag down bar
- Only shows 20 message lines after “pulling down” the divider, screen partially empty until I scroll down. It should show at least 26, preferably all available
- After moving bar, bar moves back up after going back to inbox (not delete message) after reading a message, have to move it down again, and again...
- Doesn't go to next message when delete message on screen is selected, no setting option for default to do this.
- There is a drop down to select which folder to move a selected email to. The initial display shows 7 usable choices, with the usual slider and arrow to show more choices. The space on the slider clearly shows more choices are present (actually about 20 or so are there), but any attempt to use the slider or arrow to see more choices causes the drop-down to instantly disappear. I can't move the selected field with arrow keys either. I can select any of the visible 7 choices, and move an email to only one of the 7. NOTE: This one works in both IE and Firefox, but if Verizon Webmail was fully web standard (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_standards) compliant it would also work in my preferred browser, Mozilla Seamonkey, the direct descendant of the original Mozilla browser. Webmail should be FULLY web standard.
- Occasionally a message will move from inbox to trash, without NO indication or command to move them.
- Emails occasionally flash an error message and simply disappear - not to trash or other findable place, just disappear. No time to read the error message either.
- No way to set a whitelist for supposed spam emails, unless the whitelist for “Blocking” is the same. Very unclear.
- How can I switch my service back to the original, basic, email which works ok? I know it’s still there, since some of my other accounts still access it!!!
This seems my only way of getting this info direclty to the programming staff. If it doesn't actually do this, will SOMEONE PLEASE FORWARD THIS MESSAGE TO THEM !?!

Have you tried using a panelHorizontal instead of a panelGroup?
The components are automatically laid out horizontally and it has a Valign property that you can set to top.

WLP10.2 rendering problem with FF3.5.3

Hi,
We are building a portal using the WLP10.2. We are facing problems with FF3.5.3. It doesnt render the page immediately. On refreshing the page for 5-6 times we get to see the page rendering. We have even tried debugging the issue by installing firebug. In firebugs console it shows the files being loaded. It loads till the .../framework/scripts/bea/wlp/context/Other.js and stops loading the page from there. After clearing the browser cache and refreshing 5-6 times, the site than loads up. By the way we are even using jQuery to render certain UI like tabs, accordian being used in the page.
Anyone, if you have encountered such a problem. Please let me know what was the workaround you people tried.

Are you using the DVT (dynamic visitor tools)? Is this a production mode or development mode deployment? I assume that DISC is enabled because you watched DISC modules loading.
Is there an error message in the firebug console?
I saw something that may be similar: the DVT would stop during some of its initialization code. It is client-side code that was calling some dojo module initialization code.

Problem with align and Selection Tool.

This is a weird problem which I cannot explain at all.
I am using AI CS3 with Windows XP.
I am having this completely random problem with the selection tool and align pallette I cannot explain.
I have a group of objects and groups of objects I am trying to use the align pallette on.
Sometimes when I select all of the items I want to align, either by shift-clicking each one, or by drag-selecting them I am getting a random behavior where sometimes the align button will move all of the objects COMPLETELY off of the artboard, all the way to the edge of the working area and beyond into the grey area you cannot see.
Normally, this would be caused by a stray point somewhere way off-screen or some other cleanup oriented thing on my part. However in this case, the behavior is random and does not happen every time I hit the align button.
Sometimes it takes items within my grouped objects (lines of text) and moves THEM completely off the work area, leaving the other items in the groups in place. Sometimes the bounding box when I drag-select the items will stretch extremely far off of the work area.
I have even dragged the extra large bounding box, bringing the edge that was once way off screen onto the work area, in outline view, in hopes of finding the stray point or object that could be causing this. However NOTHING appears that can be causing the align to throw all of my objects off-screen.
The random nature of this behavior and the way it sometimes affects my text objects inside of groups leads me to believe it is a program bug and nothing I am doing.
The behavior takes place regardless if I select by dragging or by shift-clicking, and is happening in more than one file, also randomly.
Also, choosing "align to art board" vs. "align to crop area" does nothing to change this behavior.
It is quite irritating. I've been using illustrator since v.88 so I have enough experience to know this is not normal.
Any help with this one would be greatly appreciated.

Rendering problems with bulleted slides

I am having a problem with the latest version of Keynote 3.
When I create a slide with one field with a bulletted list, and choose the "word pop" effect on the field, the bullets are randomly disappearing and won't appear on the slide.
If I turn off the build effect, the bullets appear as they should.
Has anyone else encountered this?
I love the build effects in Keynote, and this is driving me crazy!

RAW file rendering problems with Pentax-k5

Since a few weeks I have serious problems with the raw rendering in aperture 3.4. I have done everything to solve this problem, but until now without succes. I have upgrade with mountain lion OS X 10.8.2 and I use the latest version of aperture 3.4.3 RAW 402 build 672.6.
Does anyone have this problem to? Or do you know how to solve this problem?

Jan,
that may be the same problem as discussed in this thread. Do you use in-camera settings to enhance your pictures? these will not be captured in the raw processing that Aperture does, but the pentax software understands the in-camera settings:

Raw file rendering problems with Canon EOS 5D in Aperture 3

Since upgrading to Aperture 3, I have had serious problems with the rendering of Canon EOS 5D (not Mark II/III) RAW files. With Aperture 2, both the preview and full-sized images looked basically the same as the original images as displayed on the camera's display, without any adjustments.
With Aperture 3, each preview images initially look fine after import, but when Aperture re-renders it from the RAW file (e.g. when displaying the full-size image), the colors are drastically intensified, and the hue is shifted generally towards green/blue. I've checked the RAW Fine Tuning, and it is set to the defaults. If I turn the default RAW Fine Tuning settings all the way down, the image is still not at all like the preview from the camera - it becomes much darker and stays too blue/green, with washed-out colors.
A friend with a Canon EOS 5D MkII also recently upgraded her Mac from Aperture 2 to 3, and hasn't experienced any problems. We've tried importing RAW files from my (non-MkII) camera to her Mac (with the default RAW Fine Tuning settings), and get the same results as with my own Mac (i.e. strange colors), so the problem seems to be related to the camera model.
I've also noticed that scanned greyscale tiff images (including images that were originally imported under Aperture 2) are changed when first displayed by Aperture 3 - they become darker and more contrasty, with lots of information lost in the shadow areas.
I've also tried removing Aperture preferences, Aperture itself, and re-installing from download, with no change in the problem. (Aperture is the current latest version, 3.3.2.)
Has anyone experienced similar problems?

I'm having the same problem.
iMac running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 and Aperture 3.3.2. Workflow is importing through Canon's DPP and then using referenced images in Aperture. The images look great in LR4, or Canon's DPP but are flat and dingy in Aperture.

but as good as this fix is, it doesn't quite do the trick. [not being a hater, and not saying I can do better]
I just got back from shoooting 1,500 images with a 5DMii and a T2i using Canon 24-105L IS, 70-200 2.8L, 50 1.8 and a Sigma 120-400 and the T2i images are not just better, they're in a different league.
I've tried shooting in Faithful, Neutral and also toggling these presets in different ways and still can't get Aperture to match what I see on the camera's screen or in other Apps. I love the interface and DB of Aperture, but what's the point of using it if it doesn't produce and awesome image in the end?

JSpinner problems with alignment of text

I experience problems with the alignment of the text within the spinner. I read a few topics on this forum. Many answers point to the solution of grabbing the JFormattedTextField from the spinner and call the setHorizontalAlignment(int) method. Seems hat doesn't work for me.
Here is the code I wrote:

I'm not sure if this is the solution, but the getTextField() Method should be called on a JSpinner, rather than a SpinnerDateModel. I took this Method from the Swing Tutorial and made it static, so i could use it anywhere:

Apex 4.0 Cascading Select List: ajax problem with german umlaute

I have problems with german umlaute and ajax cascading select lists (Cascading LOV Parent Item).
The data is populated without a page refresh in the select list when the parent select list changes but special signs like german umlaute are shown as weird characters.
Seems like there is some charset problem with ajax.
This is the only part of the application where special signs like umlaute are messed up. Everything else is fine.
I allready tried to figure out if I can escape the umlaute in the javascript (file apex_widget_4_0.js) but no success here.
Can anybody help me with this issue?

your specified character set in your DAD is wrong. As mentioned in the installation instructions at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17556_01/doc/install.40/e15513/otn_install.htm#CHDHCBGI , Oracle APEX always requires AL32UTF8.

Rendering problem with AVC-HD in AECS4

Hi all ,
i have a problem with rendering AVC-HD footage with all resolutions.
when i render the result is jumpy footage .
i tested with P2 files and i dont get the jumpy footage , only with AVC-HD .
any idea why ?
my computer :
cpu - I7 920
motherboard - asus p6t .
memory - 12GB .
OS - vista 64 bit .

AE does not support temporal compression natively. The various media format savers try to circumvent that, but neither of them can hold an entire composition timeline in memory or temporarily store the result of the first analysis on disk, which is what would be required for 2-pass VBR. Rendering problem with Internet Explorer

Hi all,
i have a BSP with MVC, HTMLB and Design2003.
The table rendering in the IE requires 15sec.
With Firefox the rendering requires only 1sec.
The table has 100rows and Buttons in it.
has anyone an idea what's the problem with the IE-rendering?

Hi,
- the IE Version is 6.0 SP2 on WinXP
- before and after the table are some buttons only.
- i use no htmlb:gridlayout or phtmlb:matrix
- the table is realized with <htmlb:tableView>
in IE, I see that the response is finish but the IE displays for maybe 15sec. a grey screen and after that time I see my page. In Firefox I see my page immediately!

Adding To The LIst Of Problems With Internet Explolrer 11 And Another Browser

I've b1 of the EA6500 router and like the othe posts I can't use IE 11. The "solution" is to use either Chrome or Firefox but not my Chrome has stopped working. All I get now is the LInksys Blue background. When I first see the site it looks like it's trying but then gives me a blue page. I've included screen prints of what I see when I go to Linksys Smart Wi-Fi page and below that is the version number. I have deleted my browser history, cache, saved form data, etc. but the result is still the same. And it doesn't matter if I use the router IP address or the Smartsys Wi-Fi link.
So right now the only broweser that will let me do router administration is Firefox but something tells me it too will have problems eventually.
the problem I'm having isn't with the router, it is with the company. People have tried to blame Micrtosoft in these posts for the problem but it's not their problem. The real kicker is that these Smart Wi-Fi routers are not old. nor are they cheap. LInksys announced this line at CES 2012, then again in April, and the last one announced for thie "initial" line-up of new routers was the EA6500 (the EA6500 was anounced in June 2012).
I've been mostly happy with LInksys reouters but if this is the way they are going to conduct business, then maybe I need to make certain adjustments with the networking products we purchase.
To put it bluntly...this situation is unacceptable.

Believe it or not I stumbled across the solution to the problem and need to partially retract one of my previous statements. In a sense part of the responsibility does go to Microsoft because during one of their infamous "updates", the default version of Internet Explorer was changed to use the 64-bit version. I rarely used the Internet Explorer (64 bit) link in my Start Menu...I always used the "default" which apparently was the 32-bit version because there are plenty of companies that have not updated their software for 64-bit.
The article I came across is Problem With Internet Explorer? Maybe You Need Fewer Bits. The fix is simple and all it really takes is to right-click the icon for Internet Explorer and choose "Properties". When that comes up change the value in the "Target" field from "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe". Once you make the change save the change and then use that link to get to administer your browser. I tried it and it worked. I guess I missed the post from Linksys Support about that possibility.

WebSphere Portal 6.1 SSO problem with Business Objects Release 3 server.

Have anybody successfully integrated SSO between WebSphere Portal 6.1 BO portlet with Business Object release 3 server ?? If so please help. I have followed the steps in BO documentation (Portal Integration Kit for WebSphere) but when I logged on to portal I get the following error message
Auto signon to the BusinessObjects Enterprise infrastructure at hostname failed. Contact your reporting administrator for assistance." message
