Portal export - page not found on view log shell script download

We are currently developing with Portal Version: 9.0.2.2.14A on a Solaris box and I am having difficulty exporting to my production servers. I am following the directions in the Metalink document titled "Exporting/Importing in Oracle Portal 9.0.X" (Doc ID: Note:216572.1). I am logged in as portal and have abided by all prerequisites and have the latest export/import patch installed.
Here are the steps I follow:
- I go to the navigator and click 'export' on a page group
- Select 'Create New Transport Set'
- Enter a 'Display Name' and click the 'Export Now' button
- I am then directed to the page where I can click to view the log file, 'Download UNIX Shell Utility' or
'Download Windows NT Command Utility'
- When I click any of these items I get a page cannot be displayed error.
Any ideas on why this is happening?

Thanks for the reply. I'm not able to view your TAR history without the proper CSI #. It looks like we're having the exact same issue as you. We've installed the recommended patches and followed directions and are still having problems. We've worked around the export problem and export seems to be working fine now, but the import isn't working.
We run the import command on the mid-tier to create the importname.dmp file and then go into portal to import it and nothing happens. If we try to import in Check mode it states that everything works just fine, but when we actually go to import it and check the log file, there is nothing there indicating the import has failed.
Now, if we create a generic page group with no content and export/import, it works fine.
I'm at a loss here and deadlines are creeping up quickly. I just submitted a TAR on this issue as well. Let me know if you get anything resolved with this issue and I'll do the same. I appreciate any and all help

I have configured reverse proxy setup for my application server. from external portal is accessible( with proxy hostname externally and internally after login from internet) and also sso server administration site (same as portal ) but when i am trying to access oiddas page i am not able to login and i am getting page not found error. for ssocfg.sh i have given proxyHostName and proxyPort with https and i can see external name and it is redirected with external name for sso authentication but when i logged in i am getting page not found with http 404 msg and i have followed many docs in metalink w.r.t this error but couldn't resolve after too many trials and registrations. could someone help me on this. let me know if you need any information my internal address is http://localhost.localdomain.com:7777/ external(proxy)- https://portal.localdomain.com/

Thank you for the quick reply. I will surely try the option suggested by you.
But what i was thinking is that as this is not a Connection Time Out (500) error, instead its a Page Not Found error, it would be Session-Timeout and not Connection Time-Out.
Maybe I should be looking at:
SESSION-TIMEOUT due to kernel:
Kernel parameter: rdisp/gui_auto_logout
Kernel parameter: rdisp/plugin_auto_logout
as per the SAP OSS Note: 705013
But again, I think this Note is pointing to the SICF service and IAC type of iView and not SAP Transaction type iView. Please advice.

WDA IVIEW on Portal gives 'Page Not Found'

hi,
I have a issue with WDA IView. Works fine stand alone. Works fine on the DEV Portal.
When put on the TEST Portal, 50% of times it works and remaining it gives 'Page not Found' error.
Does it have anything to do with WD or Portal ?
We have a Apache Proxy server for the Portal
BSP Iviews on the same Portal works fine.

Thanks. As far as I know, the TEST is only single server landscape. The APACHE Proxy handles the User Requests and sends the URL to the application server. The PROXY Resides on Same Box as the Test portal.
It works sometimes and dosen't at other times ......
Is the proxy filtering the URL /sap/bc/WebDynpro......

Portal error -- page not found or not available when changed the datasource

I am facing issue while changing the UME to LDAP.....
With Java_ABAP_LDAP.xml the EP is running fine ..but when I am changing this config file to ...LDAP ..
i.e. dataSourceConfiguration_iplanet_deep_readonly_db.xml I am getting the error ....when I logged with administrator user
as page not found or not available.....
I checked oss notes 939412 and 1140519 but no help..............

Hi Yogesh,
While changing the xml to ldap, you need to change ldap server details also in the ldap server tab under ume configuration. And, also do the connection test using test connection button in the configuration screen.

Hi All,
I am facing this peculiar issue.
Post installation of webcenter, I can access the Webcenter Spaces homepage.
I log into webcenter as admin and configure a Mail Connection. I start and stop the Webcenter Spaces deployment. Now I don't see the Webcenter spaces Home page.
Error on page -

Report export (CSV) results in page not found error

Hello,
I'm having this strange error which i cannot seem to figure out. I have enabled report export through CSV in a report (report attributes). When i click the link in the report i get a page not found error (http 404). At first i thought it was a problem with the http-server. But as other applications (on different databases) don't have this problem i'm thinking it has to do with this apex-instance. Till 2 days ago it did work on this instance too.
I'm really out of ideas, so if anyone can push me in the right direction i would really appreciate!

Does this compare to the same as the url for your page?
Has your server changed?
Have you changed the dad file recently?
have you checked the Apache access/error logs right after the 404 error is encountered ?

Page not found when connecting to server (if not logged in on server)

Hi,
When we try to connect to the presentation server (http://esddev02:9704/analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard) we get a page not found error if I don't open a remote desktop connection session on the server first.
I suppose the problem originates in the fact that the installation of the software has been done with my credentials on the server.
The windows services start with 'Local System' as logon but the OC4J seems to start only when I log on with my user.
I don't see a reason for this as in the registry the OC4J start command is found under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Changing this to "D:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\bin\oc4j.cmd -start& " did not change anything.
Has somebody got a clue?

Yahoo loads log in click mail 404 error page not found why?

I upload yahoo site, log in, click 'mail' and am given a '404' error; page not found... This does NOT happen on Chrome or IE, but the pages of yahoo on IE suck and Chrome won't let me have a single toolbar even though there are all sorts of claim you can have one... (sorry) WHY doesn't FIREFOX let yahoo mail load? I LOVE FIREFOX and ALL THINGS MOZILLA, but after I ran into crappy-sappy babylon... it put a toolbar on IE, CHROME and MOZILLA... I had to delete everything associated with them all, get toolbar sweepers and better uninstall programs to weed their junk out and now MOZILLA, FIREFOX, rather warns no one and makes me submit this rather than help

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Page Not Found Error each time I log in at Forum Home

Any time i log in from the forum loginpage, i get a page not found error.
Java forum administartors should indicate what could be causing the problem. Each time i sign in, i get a page not found error on IE.

Any time i log in from the forum loginpage, i get a page not found error.Java forum administartors should indicate what could be causing the problem. Each time i sign in, i get a page not found error on IE.

Page Not Found ! Export/import translater app

Hi,
I really need some help since we are supposed to go live today or tommorrow.
1- Can I open TARs for issues concerning HTMLDB ??
2- I have an application that is translated 105-2105
When I import 105 into another application ID, and try to run it , it gives me a page not found ??

1. Do I understand correctly, you cannot export the application from the server you originally developed it on?
Exact.
It does not work on same server when I change the appid
It does not work on my test server when I replace the same application
2. What OS are you on?
In dev : Windows 2K
In test : Linux RedHat
3. Is the workspace name the same from development to production?
No
4. Is the parssing Schema the same from development to production?
No
5. If you run the app as admin do you get the menu at the bottom of the page that displays the Page not found error?
No
I am able to export/import all the other applications without problem.
The only difference is that the one that I cannot import/export is translated.

PLM search (wda_sea_qs) gives page not found when started from portal

In NWBC the PLM search works fine. For result it starts the result webdynpro.
We use PLM from the portal so I have created an iview for the webdynopro wda_sea_qs.
When I click on advanced search or search for something the navigation to the other webdynpro's is not working.
All we get is an new portal page with the message "page not found"
How can I configure the search to work correct from the portal?

I found the answer via this link:

The iView should contain the following Application Parameter:
FRW_SYSAlias=<System>
This solved the problem.

Not able to view blog entry on website...redirected to page not found.

Please help, I'm beyond frustrated! I've recently established a blog on my website. I currently use godaddy as a hosting site. We updated the site and moved all of the files over, however, when you click on the blog page from the website and then click on read more to actually read the entry, you get redirected to a "page not found" screen. I'm so confused, because both godaddy and apple support are unable to pinpoint the problem. Please, please help! Thanks!!!

Page not found error when navigating in Iview application

Hi,
I have developed an application,and I am able to view a sucessfull preview of the Page as well.There are htmlb links on the page.When clicked,they navigate to the next jsp page.This iview was assigned to a user,and the portal was logged in though a local ip address.The application works fine.
In trying to access the portal though an external Url,the initial page comes up perfectly fine.However the next page,does not come up,when a link on the first page is clicked.I get initially a popup with the message:
"This page contains both Secure and Non secure Items
.Do you want to display the non secure Items."
The options on the Popup were yes,no,More Info.
When I clicked yes then I get the display page not found error.The error is:
" <b>The page cannot be found

The Information I get when I click on More Info is-

This problem occurs only to a particular user.If I add the role to another user,and view the iview I am able to navigate without problem(there is no popup as well).Even for this User,it is happening only when,I access through extrenal url,not when I access the portal through the local IP Address.

This is a further Update.The problem described above has something to do with the roles.When some roles(cusom) are assigned the navigation occurs.Can you please let me know if there is any role related configuration with SSL.

Page not found error getting while access endeca application

Hi All,
I am trying to create an application in endeca. Created application , ran neccessary scripts and created pages in experience manager.
but when i try to call the application in browser . i am getting page not found error. There are some other application which is created by copying discover electronics ,
which works fine. Please help me how can i resolve this issue. I am using endeca 3.1.0.

There's not much to go on here, but it sounds like you're trying to view changes in a "live" application. To confirm this, you should execute the configuration promotion script and then check the same application URL. You can run the promote script from inside workbench. Log in as admin, then look under "Workbench Home > Administration > Admin Console > Scripts." You should execute the "PromoteAuthoringToLive" script. Once this script is complete, then test your page again.
If this works, then it means that your application is configured such that it doesn't get immediately notified of new configuration changes, i.e. it's configured in "live" mode.
