Portal Runtime error - An exception occured : when accessing the SRM Portal

Dear Consultants,
We are logging onto the SRM Portal using url link. SAP Netweaver 7.0
But when we are trying to access any tabs in the Navigation frame of the portal it is throwing an error.
Error - Portal Runtime error
An exception has occured while processing your request.
Can you please let me know how can I find the correct reason for the error.

Hi Arindam,
Pls check Default Trace log in the NWA tool, path would be NWA --> Monitoring --> Logs and Traces --> Select Default Trace.
Find the log messages with the Exception ID found on your Portal Runtime error. These logs would specify the exact cause of error.

This is a very wide error. You did not provided any other info as specified by Michael. Just a wild guess, this sort of error occurs generally when classpath or java_home properties are not set correctly. But, as i said it is very wide, some more info will be useful.

Exception occurs when accessing KM Content

Hi,
In our Portal system on NW 7.31.
While accessing any files under KM content, i get the following error
Runtime Error
An exception occured while processing the request.
Additional information: Exception during PageProcessorComponent.doContent()
Exception ID = a0fbde08-e68c-3110-0a99-a3bbe0cd7d4e
In the Default trace:
Caused by: com.sapportals.wdf.WdfError: com.sapportals.wdf.WdfException: org.xml.sax.SAXNotRecognizedException: Feature 'http://inqmy.org/sax/features/read-dtd' is not recognized.
I checked the note 1866966.
Our KM-BC component is at SP08 Patch 01, but the note recommends to be on Patch 02.
Now, we have the same KM-BC patch level in Sandbox and Development, but i dont get any error in Sandbox system. So this doesn't make a strong case to increase the patch level.
Please help me solve this issue and let me know if you need more information.

It seems you've already found the solution to this issue yourself in note 1866966. Despite it not occuring in your sandbox system this is the only solution available for this issue. This issue is known to not always occur, I've seen in the past where some never encounter it, the note itself even hints at this: "If You try to navigate in the KM User Interface or in the KM Configuration You
might receive a Portal Runtime Error". It's impossible to define the exact set of circumstances why this might occur in one system and not in another, it would also be an extremely time consuming possibly fruitless task to try and compare both system to make sure there are no minor differences which could influence this behaviour.
I'm however confident that it would be resolved with KMC-BC SP8 Patch 2, you should apply this across all your systems to avoid it possibly coming up again in the future.

Portal Runtime Error : An exception occurred while processing a request

After upgradation of my portal to the following patch level, SAP J2EE 6.20:
Portal Version : EP 6 SP 2 patch 29 hotfix 0
Content Mgmt and Collaboration version : 6 SP2 patch 5
i faced many performance related issues. Portal seems to be very slow. After logging in, most of the time I get 2 errors:
Either
1> Iview remains blank.
Or
2> Portal Runtime Error : An exception occurred while processing a request. Portal Runtime exception occured. Please check the System Log.
But when I refresh that particular iview, it works fine.
I went through the portal.log file (/usr/sap/PEP6/j2ee/j2ee_00/cluster/server/managers/log/portal/logs). I had check it. It was correct. But the thing when I saw in the component Inspector of portal, my iview did not appear.
I created like this
 project-> rightclick-> export-> par ->selecting project-> givint protal password-> and finish.
The NW didn't give any error, but the par file didn't appear in the portal componet Inspect.
but the par file is created in the NW studio Navigation bar.
Let me know any help regarding this

Photoshop CC might installed on your computer.
Please check and try to launch the product from your computer, it should work.
However you may need to restart your computer update your Photoshop CC.
You may also try to repair Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Package (x64) from your "programs and features" window if restating the computer is not working.

yes, Karsten is correct. Just some background:
"User Mapping not fully available.." finally means that user mapping is configured to use strong encryption, but the main crypto key for user mapping is missing. Usually, that's because "SAP Java Cryptographic Toolkit" and/or "JCE policy files for unlimited strength encryption" are not installed (or the server hasn't be restarted afterwards). The note will most likely help

Cfobject - An exception occurred when instantiating a COM object

I'm getting the following error:
An exception occurred when instantiating a COM object.
The cause of this exception was that: java.lang.RuntimeException: Can not use native code: Initialisation failed.

This is on a dedicated server with 64bit Windows Server 8 and 64bit ColdFusion 9. easyPDF is a program that will convert files into PDF on the server, it is also the 64 bit version.
I'm not even trying to do anything but load the object and am getting the error. I took a peek inside the registry and searched for "easyPDF.Loader" and it was found.
Any ideas what could be going wrong? Is there something I need to do with the CF setup or IIS to get this working? It gives the same error with the following line of code as well.

Just to give everyone some closure in this matter:
I've opened a case with Adobe Support. Their reply was:
COM interoperability with CF9 is not supported on 64 bit Windows OS. This is due to the limitations imposed by JIntergra. You can find a reference for this in the following tech-note:http://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/kb/coldfusion-limitations-running-coldfusion-64.html
It seems that J-Integra (http://j-integra.intrinsyc.com/support/kb/article.aspx?id=30963) won't update their code libraries for 64-bit support due to lack of customer demand for this functionality. Mind you this is the newest technot I could find on the matter but it was last update in 2010. I've also emailed j-Integra sales (http://j-integra.intrinsyc.com/contact.asp) to inquire about any progress in porting over their libraries to 64-bit. Who knows, if they get enough requests...
I will now try to access my COM libraries from a .NET dll and call it using cfexecute.

4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.

Error "An exception occurred within the external code..." when stopping LabView

I am having an error "An exception occurred within the external code called by a Call Library Node...", see the attached image, when I am trying to stop LabView. As a result of the error, the tag engine doesn't close normally.
I am using LabView 7.1 with DSC. I read values from a LNS (LON) OPC-server.
Is this a known issue and is there any way to repair it? I haven't noticed any direct consequences because of the error except that when I re-start LabView and the close it again without having first rebooted the computer, tag engine sometimes starts again when it should stop. This is fixed by always rebooting the computer before restarting LabView. I am getting suspicious that there might be some strange behaviour because the error says "it might have corrupted LabView's memory".
For example, sometimes when I have made a copy of an input number field to another, they follow each other's value changes even though there is no connections between them.

Especially in earlier versions of LV these sorts of errors were common if the call wasn't made just right or the parameters were set up incorrectly.
Where did you get the DLL from? Was it written internally or did it come from another vendor?
Try building a DLL call into a very small, simple application. Do you see the same issue?
Are there multiple calls to the same DLL in your code? If so, is there problems with all of them?
Can you track it down to a specific function that you are trying to access that is causing the problem?
Is there any indication of a memory leak?
Finally any additional information you can provide would helpful.

Error message in TRFC 'An SQL error occurred when accessing a table'

Hi all,
Can any one tell what this below error message is about in while go into TRFC
'An SQL error occurred when accessing a table'.
and please tell me how to solve this problem.

Try to see what all tables are accessed by data source. and see if there is any lock on that..
If some other job is accessing that table - then there might be lock on that which is causing failure..
1) Try looking at ST22 dump also..
2) Try to do RSA3 in R/3 and if see if its is fetching any records or not..

Error: Object Required apperas when accessing Content Admin Portal Content

After installing Ep 7.0 sp16 Portal and logging in as Administrator we get
Error: Object Required apperas when accessing Content Admin >Portal Content
The same error appears when trying to access System Admin > permissions.
Anything to do with catolog search is throwing Error: Object Required popup.
Appreciate feedback in resolving this.

I have just started to get this error as well... On my computer I get the "Error: Object Required" when accessing the Portal Content page but if I log in on someone elses computer using the same browser, OS, etc The error does not appear and I am able to browse the Portal Content.
Any more insight on the resolution to this issue would be appreciated.
