Portal WebService User Authentification error
Hello all,
I created a portal webservice similar to the one described in tutorial "Creating a Web Service in Enterprise Portal 6.0".
When I tried to test it in Enterprise Portal Web Services Checker I got the error below:
<b>The User Authentification is not correct to access to the Portal Service com.sap.portal.prt.soap.ContentService or the service was not found.</b>
I already added group Everyone to my service in Portal Permissions and it still does not work.
I read weblogs below but none helped me:
1 - Unable to access portal service from web service..........urgent
2 - IllegalAccessError when calling a WebService
I checked the proxy settings and it seems to be ok.
Does anyone have another suggestion?
Regards,
Mauricio
I found the reason.
I did not check End User checkbox for the Everyone group we inserted into Permissions of the Web Service.
Regards,
Mauricio

Error in Consuming Portal Webservice
Hi ,
I created a portal web service(RetrieveAndValidateUserService) and then consumed this portal service in an AbstractPortal Component application(RetrieveValidateUserComp).
On deploying that application on portal I get the following error -

1. I added a Private Sharing Reference Property in portalapps.xml of the application -
<application-config>
<property name="PrivateSharingReference" value="com.pseg.webservice.RetrieveAndValidateUser"/>
</application-config>
2. I modified the Java-Build Path to include the Portal Service Application.
3. I deployed the Webservice par on the portal. I can see the service listed under Applications in
System Administration->System configuration->Service Configuration.
Is there anything i am missing or doing incorrectly?
Points will be promptly awarded for helpful answers.Hi Lokesh
I created a Portal Service consuming a webservice.
It turns out the Private Sharing Reference that i gave had some fault. That's corrected now.
Now on deploying the Portal Application I created for accessing the service, i am getting the following error -
java.lang.Exception: The parameter Accounts is null before the serialization but in WSDL definition this field cannot be null
Here, we need to pass this parameter "Accounts" as NULL only, for test purpose.
Points will be awarded generously in case of helpful answer. -

SAPUI5 and BPM: User authentification
Hi there,
my UI5 application to claim and complete BPM tasks works now.
The only remaining issue I have is about user authentification.
To secure my UI5 application, I've modified web.xml and web-j2ee-engine.xml int the following way (according to this blog):
web.xml
<security-constraint>
<web-resource-collection>
<web-resource-name>ApproveRequest</web-resource-name>
<url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
</web-resource-collection>
<auth-constraint>
<role-name>ApprovalWorkflow</role-name>
</auth-constraint>
</security-constraint>
<login-config>
<auth-method>FORM</auth-method>
<realm-name>ApprovalWorkflow</realm-name>
</login-config>
<security-role>
<role-name>ApprovalWorkflow</role-name>
</security-role>
web-j2ee-engine.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<web-j2ee-engine xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="web-j2ee-engine.xsd">
<spec-version>2.4</spec-version>
<security-role-map>
<role-name>ApprovalWorkflow</role-name>
<server-role-name>Administrator</server-role-name>
</security-role-map>
</web-j2ee-engine>
My user is coming from Active Directory and assigned to the UME role "Administrator".
If I open my UI5 application, the standard SAP login form is displayed.
But after successful login my application fails when the oData model is created:
var oDataModel = new sap.ui.model.odata.ODataModel(taskDataSvcURL, true);
In the debugger I get the following error message (and nothing in NWA logs):
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'dataServices' of undefined
If I'm logged into to some SAP standard application (NWA, Portal) before calling my application, everything's working fine.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Thorsten.Hi,
I solved it myself with the help of our basic admin.
Go to "NWA->Configuration->Security->Authentification and Single Sign-On".
Then select "SAP-J2EE-Engine" and click on "Edit".
Search you SAPUI5 application and set "Used Template" to "Ticket"
Afterwards it works for me. -

Filter output data according to portal current user name in omni portlet
We have created an omniportlet that connects to a database, and retrives some values into a defined HTML layout.
We want to filter output data according to our portal current user name
When we try to use portal.wwctx_api.get_user inside of omni portlet select statement fallowing error occurs.

Thanks a lothello
i think you cannot use the portal built-in packages inside omni portlets. Omni portlets is designed to connect to other data source (not only oracle) and Portal API might not be available at these data sources. Therefore, you should not be using these Packages at all!. i tried very hard, but to no avail.. Omni portlet has its own repository!! if you cannot pass the infomration as a parameter, then find a different approach

Portal "Maintain JCO Destionations" Error
Dear Gurus,

When i try to "maintain" or "create" JCO destionations in Content Administrator i am taking error like this ,
My SLD Test Connection is successfull and SLD is running,
I have configured JCO (SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics_MetaData) destination for ESS MSS packages, but when i travel in these packages in portal i am taking error,

The initial exception that caused the request to fail, was:

Kindly need your helps
RegardsHello,
Thee is 2 possible scenarios here.
Either your SLD is actually down or not starting correctly or there is a misconfiguration on the application side.
Therefore lets check these points:
[1] SLD side: Can you please check the target SLD's are up by calling the URL for each of them in a browser:
http://<hostname>:<port>/sld
Can you logon? Does appears as running when you logon?
If there is no working connection to the SLD it is not possible to
maintain any JCo destination at all.
If there are problems connection the SLD you can change the used
connection parameters using the Visual Admin.
[1.1] Please choose the SLD Data Supplier service and select the CIM
Client Generation Settings tab.
[1.2] You can now define the connection parameters. After that you have
to save your settings.
[1.3] You can test also the connection now using the #CIMClient Test#
button.
[1.4] After saving and restarting the Web Dynpro Content Administrator
uses the changed connection parameters
automatically. There is no need to restart the whole SAP J2EE Engine for
that.
[2] WD application side:
Could you please check if the JCO destination is really avaialable on
the Web Dynpro Content Admin?
you can start it directly using a URL like
http://<YourHost>:<YourPort>/webdynpro/dispatcher/tc~wd~toos/ContentAdministrator
Be aware that you need a user with administrator permissions. If not,
you are not allowed to start the Web Dynpro Content Administrator.

Hello.
I am studying Webcenter Portal 11.1.1.8. Now I am trying to make a self-registration on my portal.
I've configured connection to soa and ucm, so that they are shown in Enterprise Manager in Webcenter-Portal-Spaces-Settings-Service Configuration section and tested succesfully.
So, I think workflows should work correctly.
When I try to invite user in portal using weblogic account, I get following error in messagebox: Sending invitation to user(s) failed. The reason is : Unexpected error occurred while trying to invite user(s) to portal proj1. The same error is in log file WC_Spaces-diagnostic.log.
Also when I log in as different user - user1 and try to join the portal, there are another errors:
1. If portal is public, error "Illegal character in path at index 43: /webcenter/portal/proj1/system/Self-Service Membership." occurs in log when I press button "Join portal" (a button is in window which appears when right clicking portal icon in "Browse portals").
2. If portal is private, error "User user1 does not have permission to view portal proj1" occurs in log when I press button "Join portal" and when I press "Request Membership" with selected role.
Both cases result in message box "An error has occurred during membership processing. Please try accessing the portal again to verify your membership.".
What can be wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help.Pls let me kow if you have resolved the issue as am facing the same issue.

User authantication error when we try to connect to a backend system
Hi,
We have a stand alone webdynpro application where in we are calling some rfc function modules. We have imported the models using jco connection in a development system by providing the system/user info. When we deploy and run the application in the development system the application works fine. But when we deploy the application in different test systems it fails with user authantication error while triggering those rfc function modules. Can any one help us how we can identify the problem?
We basically dont know with what system/user information its trying to connect to back end.
Kind Regards,
PrakashHi Prakash,
THere can be Multiple reasons for this problem
1.if you are using JCO connections with UID/Password authomtication,make sure that Connection is working properly by testing it in Web dynpro console administrator.
2.if you are using SSO authontication mechanism in your JCO Connections,make sure that you have UID in the back end system(BAckend Quality system) and your portal system is connected to Backend quality sytems using SSO.
hope this helps

ScottHi Joe -
I attempted to install the Azure Powershell using the instructions here:
http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/install-configure-powershell/
Upon completion I was unable to find Azure Powershell from Start/Programs:
I then attempted to re-install Azure Powershell. Initially, it came up with the error: "There was an error loading custom feed: 'http://www.microsoft.com/web/webpi/2.0/ToolsProductList.xml'. Error: 'ProductId PHP not found.'."
I clicked OK and WPI indicated that the Azure Powershell would be installed. I clicked INSTALL and WPI showed Azure Powershell in the list, but the Total File Download size was 0MB. I clicked I ACCEPT and it immediately blinked back that Azure
Powershell was installed.
When I clicked FINISH, however, the following was displayed:

Call web service from portal/soap config .xml error
Hi all,
I am trying to call a web service from our portal. Setup is as follows:
-Generate proxy classes and deploy it as a portal service
I created this service using the wizard (Portal service from wsdl file client side) in NWDS.
-Portal component which uses the portal service.
When I try to run the application in the portal, I get the following exception:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Error in soapconfig.xml: The method mail of com.sap.portal.prt.soap.proxy.Alias portal service is not found..
How can I solve this?
Her is my xml file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<application>
<application-config>
<property name="SharingReference" value="com.sap.portal.runtime.application.soap"/>
</application-config>

</service-config>

</service>
</services>
</application>
rezaHi,
Check your soapconfig.xml
Your method should be defined there. If it's not there, then you're sure to get this error.
For every method (in Webservice) that you call from your Portal Service, you should have it defined here.
Remember, this is autogenerated.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

Hi experts,
I have created the user in portal in user administrator->identity management
after that i have exported the user in to text file. here in the portal i am not getting the full details of the user means only general info i am getting.
now i have imported the user by changing the id in the text file.
here i am getting the failure message as
Error: Failed while committing because of BAPI_USER_CREATE1@JEDCLNT800: ID=01, NUMBER=364, MESSAGE=You do not have authorization to maintain users in the central system.
can any one help me to how to rectify this.
regards,
viswaHi,
It seems you don't have the required authorizations to create users in the Central User Administration (CUA).
You'll have to log in the CUA with your portal user and launch transaction su53 to see which authorization objects are needed to create a user.

How to access Sap portal login user in ejb web service
Hi,
I wnt to access SAP Portal login user in my ejb application which resides on the same server.
I am using following code
try {
IUser user =null; IWDClientUser wdUser = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser();
user = wdUser.getSAPUser();
} catch (WDUMException e) {
// TODO Auto-generated catch block
e.printStackTrace();
Some additional jar files are required for this?
The same code works fine with webDynpro but not with ejb.
Thanks in advance
Best regards,
NileshThanks for reply.
I have already added com.sap.security.api in my EJB module project classpath. How to add the same in EJB application Project (application-j2ee-engine.xml)?
