Position acting up

Hello,
At our client, there are loads of short term acting up claims i.e employee assigned to a position for sometime, say three months. The positions are link with grade thats why they are paid accordingly.  They deal this by not making a substitution (as there are no workflows nor self service), but merely giving them an honorarium.  However, As you are aware, when they run report, there is nothing against the person that says this person is acting up in xyz position. The system normally just shows that person is assigned a new position but doesnt show if he/she is acting up.
Do any one know of any workarounds, so that the reporting is accurate and show person if he/she is acting up?
Regards,
Ahmad

I think we have to options either creating new actions and reason code for Acting up, new Wagetypes or having a custom Infotype to store current grade and acting up grade.

  • Motion/position acting weird

    Dear all.
I have a seriuos problem that I can't figure out. I have animatied a text that slides in as the movie run, but even though there is a keyframe that leads the text from left to right, then suddenly the text moves left-right-left, ant I really don't why. I have uploaded a screen recording, because it's a bit tricky to explain.
    Thanks.

Right click on the keyframes and change the Spatial Interpretation to Linear.

  • MSS Team calender in acting position

    Hi Gurus,
this is regarding MSS team calender, an employee with his actual position X , if he acts in a acting position Y and if he logs in MSS then he should be able to see all the subordinates under position Y, but presently he cannot see any team under position Y,
can any one please let me know where can be the problem is?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sud.

    Dear Raphael,
Now I checked team view in MSS. Manager is able to see all the employees & their leave + travel in separate colours.
But in attendance overview, nothing is getting display.
So functionality of  Team Calendar is only to get information to manager who are on leave & who are present in each month.
Is there any more functionality available in Team Calendar.
    Thanks,
    Namsheed.

  • Role reconciliation issue with user ID in acting (HDA) position

    Hi all,
I am experiencing an issue with my role reconciliation for user who is in a HDA (acting) position. This user has a 008 relationship to her own position and a A081 relationship to the position she is acting in. Roles are assigned to these 2 positions.
After the programme PFCG_TIME_DEPENDENCY has been run, I would assume the user to acquire the roles assigned to the HDA position and lose the roles assigned to her in her original position. However, this isn't the case.
I am just wondering whether anyone else has encountered this issue and know of a solution to this.
    Thank you.
    Kim

    Kim,
After the programme PFCG_TIME_DEPENDENCY has been run, I would assume the user to acquire the roles assigned to the HDA position and lose the roles assigned to her in her original position. However, this isn't the case.
Before PFUD takes place, change of assignment should be done in PA40(automatically or manually depending on your setup).
    Thanks,
    Sri

  • Regions act abit like divs? Can you position them with css?

Could you just hook up an id selector to a region and position them as you like, haven't had time to look at it myself? Anyone?

    Hello,
Actually if you look at the region templates some of them are <div> tags and or tables and most of them already have automatically created id's associated with them.

  • Position keyframes for titles not acting properly; keep moving backwards near end keyframe

I have no clue what in teh world is going on here. i will set a keyframe in the beginning for the titles initial start point. Move ahead 2 seconds. Set a keyframe. Move the title to where I want it. Play it back, and then right before the end keyframe, the title will go the complete opposite direction if I have another keyframe ahead of it I want it to go to. So yeah, it moves back then moves forwards to the next keyframe. Please help me understand this lunacy.

Having recently encountered this issue, I searched the web for a solution and stumbled upon this thread, which to my surprise was not only left unanswered, but also seemed to be the only search result that was directly relevant to my problem.  Luckily, I was able to adapt some advice from a similar situation.  Since I finally discovered a solid method, I figured I would offer my knowledge to anyone else treading the same path as me.
I guess they call something like this a "wobbly" keyframe.   In After Effects, someone gave the advice to right click and change the temporal interpolation to LINEAR.  In premiere, I noticed that they were ALREADY linear, but then I recalled Shooternz post about a spatial ease.
Highlight ALL the keyframes, right click, then select Spatial Interpolation and click on Linear.  This should solve the issue.  You can then add eases and such to meet your goals.
I knew from the beginning that it must have been an invisible knot in the bezier curves.  I pulled the bars in every direction, but all it did was tighten or loosen the knot, causing the motion to speed up or slow down, but it would always hit the knot and reverse before continuing forward. You know how Illustrator will create crazy-looking lines when you try to add too many points with strong curves?  Well the same logic applies to this, but Premiere has a much more difficult interface when dealing with bezier curves.  In other words, by getting rid of the extra curves instead of trying to fix them like you can in Illustrator, it fixes the problem much more easily.
I hope I helped to clarify the issue and help you understand the logic of what went wrong, so you can move on now and perhaps adapt this knowledge to future obstacles.

  • All text on website is acting as a (false) link, assistance greatly welcomed.

*Please open link in IE not FF*
The text and narrative in all of the pages on the website www.blindname.com/index.html and subsequent pages is acting as a 404/link, when I scan the code, there are no links visible and I have checked to see all the tags and am yet to find the problem.   Would you be so kind to be able to assist?
Many thanks, I will keep this window/thread open and will be here to talk.
I also am having layout problems in Firefox and Chrome.  Originally I designed it in FF and GC but could not get the IE working properly, so then decided to redo in IE and now cannot do FF. I may open up another thread for this when this problem is solved, and if it is more appropriate.
Here is the code of the index page, but all pages, seem to have the problem:

  • Project freezes every time at same slide position on mobile devices.

(Using Captivate 6.1 on Mavericks running in 2014 iMac. This project contains 32 slides, some with audio (played using the advanced action for Play Audio), and some without, and it works well on desktop Mac and PC. It is published as SWF/HTML5, and the link from the webpage points to the multiscreen.html file.)
In spite of working smoothly on regular desktop computers, it's a different story in mobile devices. When tapping on the smartshape arrow button to advance to the next slide (from slide 5 to 6), the button's appearance changes to show that it's in the down/clicked position as expected, but it stays there and doesn't return to the up/unclicked appearance for anywhere between 3:11 to 3:30 on my iPad 4 (on an iPhone 4 running iOS 6 the screen doesn't advance even after 20 minutes). The slide doesn't advance to the next screen or go back to the previous one. Instead, the browser freezes (tried in Safari and Dolphin on tablet), meaning it won't go back, forward, add a tab, view another tab, etc. After the 3:00+ time period, the button that was in the down position completes the clicking action/sound, and then the browser and slide work properly. I can go back and forth over the problem location after that with no more freezing.
The consistent slide location where the concern occurs seems to suggest that it's not a broadband connection issue (or the delay would happen in other slide positions also). In trying to fix the problem, I deleted the slide where the problem was occurring, but the slide that filled in its vacancy (slide 6 became slide 5 after the deletion) caused the same problem. This leads me to think that it's nothing in the specific slide content causing the issue, but that it has something to do with the 5th slide position. The slides that were in the number 5 position have either text-only or a .png file, and the same smartshape navigation buttons as all the other slides so they don't use more resources than anything else. But, the temporary freezing acts similar to when something is hogging the resources of the browser. It doesn't hog the device resources though, because I can quit the app, or go to other apps during the freeze with no problem. But, after the initial freeze is passed, then there is no more delay at the problem-point or anywhere else in the project.
This pause isn't okay, because users will quit the project if they have to wait that long to advance to the next slide.
I'm at the end of my knowledge and ideas, and need help. Is there anything that I can try to remove this delay from mobile apps?

Sorry this is so wordy. Just hoped to give specific information so a savvy person reading it could know how to help.
Any ideas with the intent to help will be sincerely appreciated.

  • How To Position Two Regions Side-By-Side

    Hello.
I am using Apex 4.2.1 with Oracle 11R3 and mod_plsql. The Apex app I created is using Theme 21.
I've created a classical report one of whose fields is an HTML link.  When this link is clicked, an HTML region appears (it appears only when the link is clicked).  This HTML region contains several form fields users will populate.
I am trying to get the HTML form region to appear to the immediate right of the report region (with, say, an inch of intervening space between the two regions) but am not having success.  Instead, the HTML form region appears immediately underneath the report.
I searched this Forum for ideas and saw recommendations about creating a "container" type HTML region which serves as the "parent" for both my report and HTML form regions.  And so, I did this.  My report region has the sequence 10 while my HTML form region has sequence 20.
I've tried playing with the options within the "Grid Layout" section of the page:
      Start New Grid = "Yes"
      Start New Row = "No"
      New Column    = "Yes"
I've set the report to "No Template" and did the same for my HTML form region.  Still no help.
The Display Point for all my regions (the containing HTML region, the report, and the HTML form region) is position "01".
All to no available.  The HTML form region stubbornly displays under the report region.
At this point, I want you to know that, though I like building web/database applications using Apex (indeed, I've been using it more than eight years now), there are days (like today) when I wish Apex would act more like FrontPage or DreamWeaver.  I would like to use my mouse to drag a region to a point on the page and have Apex automagically write the appropriate positioning CSS code.  Sigh!
In any case, would anyone know how to get my HTML form region to appear to the right side of my report region (with an inch or so of intervening space)?
    Any help/tips would be appreciated.
    Thank you.
    Elie

  • Make anchored graphics frames act as containers

If I choose Object/Anchored Object/Insert and make the inserted frame a graphics frame (with above line positioning), it doesn't act as a container. That is, if I put a graphic into the frame or create one with the drawing tools -- say a line diagram -- and then make edits to surrounding text that causes the text to move up or down, the *frame* moves with the text it's anchored to, but the graphics inside it *don't* -- with enough editing, they could move right outside the frame, like ghosts passing thro' walls. Since almost every time I want to put a graphic onto the page it bears some specific relationship to the local text, this behavior is unhelpful, to say the least.
I can't figure out what the point of graphics frames that don't hold their contents in place could be, so I wonder if this is a bug. If so, please fix it. But if ID is behaving as intended, please add the option to preserve the position of graphics inside the frame *relative to the frame boundaries* (as opposed to relative the page boundaries).
    Thanks.
PS: I did try to group the frame with a line diagram inside it but that seems impossible. I also know you can paste graphics into body text directly -- I watched AMC's video at Adobe -- but when the graphic in question has different pieces that relate to specific words above or below it, you really can't build it off-site then paste it in -- especially if the result of doing that limits your options for adjustments.

I believe we've covered this issue thoroughly. There's nothing wrong with your intention, but there is something missing about the containership behavior of ID's anchored frames that works fine in FM.
I think it's a bug. Others may think it's a personal wish that isn't supported. My thinking is that ID's frame objects are already packed with smarts about content type and fitting abilities, that the developers simply overlooked providing the ability to add new objects freely into a frame that's already got content (like FM can.)
Apparently designers don't encounter this need anywhere nearly as often as those who author annotated documents in Word, FM, or other similar tools that permit working in the isolated environment of a frame - adding, removing, resizing, rearranging text objects and graphic objects at will - as if it were a blank page environment. So, there have been few reports of problems in this area.
The main reliable anchored-frame solution for this particular problem is to create and revise the content outside of any frame, then group, select, and copy the composite object and paste it at the cursor insertion point, or save it as a separate ID file and place it as an anchored object.
Perhaps you've already explored using an unstroked table for this particular need. The baselines of text in your example seem to be aligned across the horizontal rows, and the divider lines also seem aligned on horizontal rows. The divider lines could be created by several means - underlines in cells, graphic lines in anchored frames in cells, or horizontal cell rulings.
The whole arrangement requires painstaking attention no matter how it's constructed, so the fussiness of working with a table wouldn't seem to add something that might not be needed with a different method. Because tables can break across frames, you'd need to set all rows to keep together.
Again, I strongly suggest formally reporting this quirk as a bug to be fixed and/or a feature request.
    Regards,
    Peter

assignment is it neccessary for person to go to another org unit or subsidary .
if person gets promoted to his managers place in same org unit then will it be considered as change of position or the
    organisational re assignment.
    Kind Regards ,
    Shruti

if he gets promoted Run promotion action
if u want to do it thru organisational reassigment that the reason for that action shd be done as promotion

  • Numeric Integration of positive and negative values in the same signal

Hello.. I need to perform an evaluation of Area Under Curve of my signal, but it contains positive and negative values. I am using the "Numeric Integration" function, but the result expressed by my VI represent: AREA OF POSITIVE VALUES - AREA OF NEGATIVE VALUES, in other words, my result represent the difference between these two areas. But I want to know the total area, the sum of positive values area and negative values area, and because both values has are "+", my final result should has "+" notation.
    For example:
    Area of positive values: +45.00
    Area of negative values: +34.00
    Total area: +79.00
How do I modify my VI to obtain the total area value?
I try to split my values in two parts:
    A) only the positive and zero values
    B) only the negative values
I calculated the areas of both splits and performed an sum of them, but the final result does not matches with total area (computed by another software to know the real value)
I attached an picture of my VI
    Thank you
    Daniel

Use an event structure for the boolean value changed. You also did not follow Lynn's advice to insert an "absolute value". It would really simplify everything.
Here's how it would look in a newer version of LabVIEW (your icons look different because you have an older version. The functions are the similar).
This is just a draft and the program needs to be improved. Use a state machine with events for read file and another for value change on the sampling rate. Place the data array in a shift so you can change the sampling rate without the need to re-read the file. Modify as needed.
    Some important pointers in general:
There is NO need to constantly spin the loop every nanosecond. The only time the loop needs to spin if if one of the inputs has changed.
If you don't use an event structure, all UI loops need a wait to conserve CPU.
Never (almost never) use "switch until released". Typically you want to use "latch when released" which makes the terminal true exactly once until the value is read and it will revert to false after that. "switch until released acts like a doorbell, so if it werent for the file dialog, you would execute the case several times in a row.
You don't need to get the array size and wire N of the FOR loop if you are autoindexing. LabVIEW will spin the loop until it runs out of elements automatically.
There is an atomic operation for "negate" in the numeric palette. No need to multiply with a "-1" diagram constant.
There is an atomic operation for ">=0" in the comparison palette. No need to compare with a "0" diagram constant.
Use a stop button on the loop termination.
Everything that only needs to be done once after the file is read (e.g. you inner loop, etc. also belongs inside the case structure. Right?
In general, you would make things much easier for us if you would attach your actual live VI instead of dead images.

LabVIEW Champion . Do more with less code and in less time .

  • AP-div's acting like tables

I'm building a new website (as beginner). I use AP-div's, but when the text is longer than the AP-div size, it will increase the field vertical, overlapping the AP-div under it. That's not what I want.
In fact, I would like to do this:
    ApDiv2
    Left: 0px
    Top: under ApDiv1
I know this code is not working, but is there any way to move "ApDiv2" down, when "ApDiv1" increases vertical?
In other words, is it possible to connect two or more AP-div's and let them act like cells of a table when they increase (not an absolute, but a relative vertical position)?
If someone knows a way to make it possible / have another solution, please let me know.

As osgood said, APDivs are not a good primary layout method.   It's often helpful to make a preliminary sketch of your web pages with notes on where things will be placed, how many columns or grid boxes you'll need, etc...   Then find a pre-built CSS layout that meets your requirements.  You can learn a great deal from looking at source code.
