Hi Gurus Pls help me!!
My client do the AOP process (Annual Operating Plan process) every year. During the AOP process he will made the number of positions required for the next year based on Organization unit, Positions, Grade bucket and Onsite/Offsite position.
consider --
Org Unit as- Oracle Apps
Position as - Functional Consultant
Grade Buckets in the company are 3. The grades are taken as employee subgroup in Personnel Structure we are having the grades as A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L. In which A to E as one grade bucket and F-H is other and H and above is the another grade bucket. This Grade bucket to be attached to the Position.
Onsite and Offshore- Whether the position is required for Onsite or Offsite.
For eg: In the AOP process if 100 positions are required for Oracle Apps unit positions as Functional Consultant in which 80 are required in A-E grade bucket out of which 70 position are for offsite and 10 positions are for onsite and 20 in G-I grade bucket out of which 15 for offsite and 5 for onsite. This way the projections will be done and head count budget will also be based on the same.
What could be the probable solution for attaching these attributes to the position and if i run the report on the same i should get the vacant positions also with these attributes. Please help me.

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
In the case of this theoretical lower third to be applied to more than one title at a time
a. Is there text in the lower third besides a graphic of some kind?
b. Are all the titles to which this lower third is to be applied all together on the Timeline or scattered?
If no text in lower third and titles all together, then, with text titles on Video 1 and lower third on Video 2, drag out the lower third to cover the length of the text titles on Video 1.
I do not find "lower third" title files to be in the same category as certain effects where the Copy and "Paste Attributes" or "Paste Effects and Adjustments" lend themselves so well.
Let us see what others have to say about all this. I will continue to experiment with what you seek and how you would prefer to get there. I am not optimistic but I will try.

How can I get the direction handles to show up for the Position attribute?

How can I get the direction handles to show up for the Position attribute?
I have CS3 and I did the formentioned test and was able to make the handles work for the scale attribute but they don't seem to show when editing the position values.
*I am in the graph editor looking at the "value graph"
*I select the keys and convert the keys to auto bezier (I also tried the ease in and out buttons)
*It changed the graph the way you might think (no longer linear) however the handles are not showing to edit further.
*I also tried using the "convert vertex tool" (part of the pen tool) and still no luck getting those handles.
*the handles only show up in the speed graph but that does me no good.

I don't have CS3 installed on any of my machines any more but your value graphs for position should look something like this:
There are no handles for position in the Graph editor. You adjust the position curve by editing the motion path in the composition window. Press the G key to bring up the pen tool, then use the modifier keys Crtl/Cmnd and Alt/Option to temporarily switch between select and convert vertex to adjust the paths. Changes will be reflected in the value graphs. You will get editable handles with scale and rotation because these are not spatial properties. Spatial properties, position, Anchor Point, all XY & Z coordinates are edited in the comp window or in the layer window after revealing the properties. IOW, you edit anchor point position paths by opening up the layer window and choosing Anchor Point from the display options.

JSP editor ignores position attributes in style tag

I have recently installed M7 NitroX for JSP and Struts evaluation build 366.
When using the JSP editor to view the design of a jsp page that uses layers
e.g. <div style="position:absolute; left: 100px; top: 100px;">sometext</div>
The design view completely ignores the position attributes.
Is this a know issue? If so, is there a workaround for displaying dhtml layers correctly?

Problem selecting node by position attribute

1) The following xpath does not return any node:

If you got the NullPointerException at the second line it means that the attribute with the name "DynamicNode.""str"c.getCounter() doesn't exists. So I would suggest to check for null value before doing the second line:

because svs.getText() will return you the text and not the key. To get the key use svs.getKey(c.getRating()). The point is that the value stored in the appropriate context attribute is the key, but the value displayed on view is the text.

Select Planned Compensation (HRP1005), here you can assign pay scale structure (Salary level) to position. For defining salary levels you have to configure tables V_T510 or V_T710
SPRO -> PM -> PA -> Payroll Data -> Check Pay Scale Type
SPRO -> PM -> PA -> Payroll Data -> Check Pay Scale Area
SPRO -> PM -> PA -> Payroll Data -> Check Assignment of Pay Scale Structure to Enterprise Struct
for hourly population
SPRO -> PM -> PA -> Payroll Data ->Revise Pay Scale Groups and Levels
SPRO -> PM -> PA -> Payroll Data ->Check Total Salary Against Salary Range ->Define Pay Grades And Levels
Slect Vacancy (HRP1007) for maintaining vacancy. Here you can define Position is open (Vacant) or filled. Even you can mark Position as an obsolete (HRP1014). It allows you to mark, or flag, a position or workplace as obsolete. An obsolete position is a position that has or will become redundant, but may be still occupied by a person. Likewise, an obsolete workplace is a workplace that has or will become redundant, but may be still currently used or occupied.
When the holder of an obsolete position is removed, the system automatically delimits (terminates) the position validity date.
The Validity dates you define when you select Object and create position (HRP1000). So you can create position which is valid till some date (Temp) or till 12/31/9999 (Permanent)
SelectEmployee Group SubGroup (HRP1013) for assigning emp grp an dsub grp usually which tells employee is full time part time
and if you want to assign work schedule just select Work Schedule (HRP1011). Here you can enter the
Number of hours per month:
Identifies the average number of hours to be worked per month, by a single position or by employees within an organizational unit, work center and/or work schedule group.
This field may be used interchangeably with the Percentage field, to adjust work schedules for positions, organizational units, workplaces and/or work schedule groups. Use this field to adjust work schedules by identifying the average number of hours worked per month.
To do so:
Enter the appropriate number of hours
The system automatically adjusts the figures in the Hours per day, Hours per week, Hours per year, and Percentage fields.
Note: It is possible to customize this infotype so that work schedule information can be entered using one of the other fields, Hours per day, Hours per week, or Hours per year.
Also you can use default values by pressing default button. System entries are based on a default work schedule created in Customizing. (For more information see Customizing, Organizational Management.)

For
Qualification select Qualification Management(HRP1055) but prior to this you should have created the Qualifications and the qualification catalog. Also you can assign qualification to Job and when you assign Job to position it will automatically pick uup the qualification assigned to Job.

Need RFCs to call to update Position attributes....

Hi,
   We have a custom ISR scenarios installed. We're trying to take these 3 changes
1) Update title of an Unoccupied Position
2) Update cost center of an Unoccupied Postion
3) Make an Unoccupied Position Vacant
We're trying to identify RFCs we can call from the ESS JAva Webdynpro ISR application when the user submits these 3 changes from the web.
Currently they work using the standard ISR process, 1 up approval, shared services executed the transaction in their inbox,
Can anyone please help me with some standard RFC's I would use for these changes...
Ideally the RFC would get the data for the position infotype 1000 from teh system for the id passed in, change the 1 field title and then call the standard RFC to update the infotype for position,

US Position Attributes - T5U29 table and Tcode to maintain it

Can anybody tell me what is the importance of T5U29 table and the tcode to maintain it?

You can maintain this table via SM30 view V_T5U29 and its used for assigning:
Job Category (This field holds the code which corresponds to a particular job category. (Jobs are associated to job categories using a feature.))
AAP Category(This field contains the AAP (Affirmative Action Planning) category to be assigned to a job)
Occupational Classification Code(This field holds the OCC (Occupational Classification Code) which can be assigned to an EEO category.)
Also you can classify you jobs as Exempt or Non Exempt under FLSA guidelines by checking the radio button for Exempt and Non-Exempt.
One more thing in addition to above, generally we maintain attributes fr Job instead of Postion in table T5U13.

Reg SAP HCM Process Change Position Attributes

Hi All,
I have copied the standard Form Scenario 'S_HR_PD_CHANGE_POS_ATTRIBUTES' into Custom one.
I have made only one step i.e. Stage02 (Process) and attached everything ISR Scenario,Form,Interfaces.
I have created one process and attached the form Scenarion and custome workflow to it. When I run the ASR_PD_PROCESS_EXECUTE from the SE80, I am able to get the selection scree,giving the position id,selecting my custom process and getting hte adobe form with all fields.
When I clicked on Personnel Area or Personnel Sub Area list button, am getting one pop up with the message 'Internet Explorer has stopped working' A problem casused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is avilable.
I am getting the same error when I tried with out copying the standard one.
Could any one please help on this.

Still getting the problem while executing from SE80 as mentioned in the main thread.

Default SC Plant Company code and Storage location Based on Position

Hi All,
We are on version SRM 7.02.
We are using SAP ECC R/3 EHP7 based system as a back end FI and HR system.
Org structure in SRM is replicated fromm HR system.
We have case of concurrent employment in the HR org structure , which means one USER can be assigned to multiple Positions in an org structure.
We have a user A , who is created in Two different org units say O1 , O2 occupying positions P1 and P2, belonging to company code C1 and C2.
Whenever a SC is created a custom enhancement shows all the user positions to him and he has to choose one from the list of positions.
Now based on the selected position(P1) , i have to default plant(PL1), storage location(SL1) and Company code(C1).
Even after defaulting attributes based on the position, user gets an error "company code C1 is not valid for user"
This error (Message class : /SAPSRM/CLL ; # 135) is thrown from method : /SAPSRM/CL_CH_WD_DODM_SC_I_BD /SAPSRM/IF_CLL_MAPPER~UPDATE
after getting user's Company code using following method.
/sapsrm/cl_pdo_shared_user=>/sapsrm/if_pdo_shared_user~get_company_code
This gets Company code as C2 ; Based on Users Attributes and not based on User Position attributes.
If i overwrite values fetched by this method in Implicit enhancement, then plant(PL1), storage location(SL1) are not getting fetched.
Does anyone have any solution for this problem?

Best Practice - Changing description for Org Unit/Position or creating new?

Hello Freinds,
I just want to know from your experience what's normally practiced in your implementations for OM :-
For scenarios where there is a need to change the description of a particular org unit or position, do u
1. just change the description effective a particular date (to maintain history) or
2. put an end date to those objects and create new ones ?
Solution 1 is quick and easy, but in IT0001 the description displayed is as on start date of that infotype which is normally a date prior to the change in desc of those objects. As a result this infotype keeps displaying old description.
Is there any way to change this display to show the current description instead of the description as on start date of this infotype ???
Solution 2 calls for a lot of related activities, say if i create a new org unit and delemit the old one - then i have to move all the sub org units and positions into this new one ... which is quite time consuming and doesn't really seem practical.
How do u manage such scenarios ?

We use option #1, although I am not sure this is best practice. Using option 1 for positions makes it challenging when it comes to reporting on length of time in position. We frequently have the scenario where a person is reorged not because they applied for another position, but just because the big wigs want to move around the chess pieces. In these cases we simply modify the position attributes and then run a PA action. Then if you run a query and use the standard delivered Length of time in position field, it appears as if the person has been in the same position for years (which they have), but their position has been retitled, re-graded, and re-orged numerous times. This makes it very difficult to get to an employee's length of time in their role.
This is a great discussion question I hope more people respond with what they do and why.

Problems with image attributes

I'm not a native speaker but I give it a try :-)
I tried to add attributes of my image element directly in the attributes window, for example I set the alignment to left. But the image is then still aligned center and it won't save the setting when I save the xml file. I looked throw my dtd and also the r/w rules but they are seem to be ok.
When I set the attributes in the anchored frame window everything works just fine.
My DTD looks like these (BildPosition is the alignment, BildAusrichtung is the position of the image):

When I set the attributes in the anchored frame window everything works just fine.
There is no way to control the anchoring position or image alignment
just by changing attribute values. Both properties are native FrameMaker
properties and with the correct R/W rules they can be written to XML
and read, but there is no way to control their setting via the EDD.
There was another long thread in this forum about this issue; however, I cannot find it.
The point is that once you open an XML file in FrameMaker, you cannot change properties of certain FrameMaker objects by changing the attributes in the corresponding element. You have to change the properties via the objects themselves. Thus, for graphics in anchored frames, you select the graphic and change its properties (Object Properties) the same as you do in unstructured FrameMaker. Also, you can select the anchored frame and change its properties the same way you do in unstructured FrameMaker.
Then with the correct read/write rules, those object properties are exported as attribute values in the XML. When you open the XML in FrameMaker, the attribute values are converted to the corresponding FrameMaker objects. You can find all the information about this in the FrameMaker Structured Applications Guide.
Thus, there is no need for a script, unless you really want the ability to change FrameMaker object properties via changing attribute values.

Help with Layer Positioning and TimeLine

Hello all, here is my situation:
I am trying to do a simple Layer animation for my home
page... 4 Layers startoff at the right of my webpage(table) and end
up at the left handside, as an example.
My problem is I have a main 1x1 table that is centered, and
that works fine to center all the text and images that are within
it, but the layers that I tried placing within it stay absolute to
the screen and not relative to the table.... and if I try to
specify relative position in the first place for any of the layers
that Layer disapears from my Layer panel and I cannot timeline with
it???!!!
This Started out as a lame trial to avoid making a flash
movie for this animation.. but right now I am more interested in
knowing the possibilities and limitations of using Layers and
Timelines in Dreamweaver.... Any help or comments are most welcome.

Updating tag attributes in design time

I have a design time renderer for my custom component... As the component renders itself in design time, I set some of the component properties from within the renderer... The property sheet correctly shows those values... However, the associated JSP tag in the source view does not show those attributes... The JSP tag attributes dictate the runtime behavior and since they are not set properly, my component misbehaves.
How do I make sure that the tag attributes sync up with the property sheet values?
Also, what is the motivation behind the property sheet displaying the component values and not the JSP tag values? Having it the way it is right now opens itself up to a bunch of out-of-sync problems like the one I encountered.

<my:chart connectionId="connection1" />The user first drags and drops the connection component. The ID connection1 is automatically associated to it. Next he drops the chart component. Now, I would like to automatically populate the connectionId attribute without the user having to type it in manually. I am able to do that (in design time) in the renderer of the chart component - I programmatically look for a connection component on the page and set the connectionId attribute of the control. And when I do that it correctly shows the connectionId attribute populated in the property sheet but the corresponding tag attribute is not.
Sure enough, at runtime, it is the tag attribute values that count and since those are not updated by the IDE, it does not work as expected.
2. Creator updates the style attribute when I move or resize the component. Now, I also have position attributes left and top defined on my component and I use these attributes at runtime to position my component. So, in design time I extract the left and top values from the style attribute and set them on the component. But again, the tag attributes are not populated and so the component is not positioned properly.
#1 is to convenience the user so that he doesn't have to manually enter values for attributes which can be automatically populated at design time.
In fact for #1, I would ideally like to show the user a drop down list of all the connections available to him in the property sheet and select the first one by default. Is this possible?
#2 is for backward compatibility reasons - We already have runtime renderers in place which use left and top attributes explicitly to render the components at runtime. And this is not restricted to left and top only but other client attributes as well - such as borders, backgrounds etc. which we expose as separate attributes.
