Position text filled at new PR document

Hello,
I have a strange problem in production.
When we start a new PR me51n, filed the first position (10), the position text is automatically filled whit a default text, that the user must delete every time. This problem is appearing only in production ( in test/ integration is not ). Also this is happening only for position 10, for all other no.
I have checked the user exits, and that filed is not touched by any of those implemented.
Have you encounter this situation before ?

When typing or pasting, that's the way it works unless you have Smart Text Reflow enabled (I can't stand it so I leave it off). The text that does not fit is called "overset" and is inidacted by a red plus sign in the Out Port of the text frame. If you click the plus sign with the selection tool it will pick up the overset and you can place it into an new frame (which will be threaded to the original). Holding the shift key when placing the text will flow all that there is, making new frames and pages as required to accomodate it.
This is basic function of the program. You should spend some time reading the help files on working with text, or pick up a good beginners's book, like Sandy Cohen's Visual Quickstart Guide to InDesign.

How to position text in an existing PDF document with X,Y coordinates

There used to be a CFX PDF tag that could do this. the company (www.easel2.com) does not appear to exist any more.
This is what i want to do. I have an existing PDF file that is uploaded by a user. I want to receive the file, then put a registration number (some text) in the lower left corner of the 2nd page (I don't know the exact x,y coordinate but I can figure that out later).
Does anyone know how I can do this?

Unfortunately, I can not create the PDF. It is uploaded by the user, and I have to open the PDF, insert the text and save it. BUT, I did find the solution in a slight roundabout way.
1) Create an image file containing the text I need
2) Use that image file as a watermark with 10 opacity and use the tag's x,y coordinate setting.

How can I import a .doc (MS Word) with "hidden text" to a new Pages document?

Without changing the specific text in .doc to non-hidden, nothing but empty line returns comes across.
I have several .doc files and I am trying to streamline a process.

There is no hidden text in Pages and if Apple implemented it chances are it would not be the same as Microsoft's.
There quite a few variations between Pages and MsWord so transferring documents between them is a hit and miss at the best of times.

[AS] CS3- Find any text with style, then replace that text with a new applied fill color.

I am trying to find the simplest way in cs3 to find any text with style, then replace that text with a new fill color. I can find text and change text. I can find a style and change it to a new style. I can't seem to find a style and change the applied fill color. I do not want to change the properties of the style, just the applied color. Yes, I want the + sign, for now. I know, why not update the style, I am not allowed to. Any help would be great. Since the search is not available, I need a new response.

You can work around the bug by just doing a find, then looping through the results, changing the color one at a time. Probably you have opened a blank Layout template which requires a Textbox for you to type into.
Open a blank Word Processing template instead. The two types are listed in the Sidebar of the Template Chooser.

Open a new blank document from Template Chooser. Set the font and anything else you want as your standard, then File > Save As Template.
Then in Pages > Preferences > General > For new documents > Use Template > Choose
Then when you open Pages from the Dock (or LaunchPad if your system has that) you will get a blank document based on that template. Same when you go to File > New (command n)

Upload positions-text in different languages?

Hi folks,
we have to enter positions in different languages. To enter new positions we use a flexible upload - method. We have got one upload-file for EN and another one for DE.
The problem:
if we upload the EN-file, the text of the positions in DE gets blank,
if we upload the DE-file then, the text of the positions in EN is blank.
So one of the fields (either DE or EN) is empty and would have to be entered manually.
What can we do to upload both DE and EN - text for the positions?
Is this possible at all?

Hello folks,
it´s possible to upload different languages!
It´s easy if you know how to do it:
create an upload-method with (at least)
Positionplan and language in the header
Position-nr and text (short, medium, long if you want) in the body
--> NO further information (hierarchy, type or whatsoever)!
Create a file with information above
Import the file
--> if positions are available the new language will be filled in
--> if you accidently address a new position you will get an upload error (as no hierarchy-info is available).

Check if the BADI ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST is working in your system, surely method PROCESS_ITEM. If it's true check if you have this interface in the coding:

I had an iPhone 4 and switched to LG G2 android. I am unable to receive texts on my new LG G2 when sent from some other iPhones. I've done everything Sprint and Apple have suggested - turned off imessaging, made sure the contact info on the other iPhones is plain mobile numbers, deactivated my iCloud account. Nothing is working. Anybody have any suggestions?

Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folders. In OS X 10.9 there are two sandboxes, while in 10.8 there is only one. If you're running a version older than 10.8, this comment isn't applicable.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder—not just its contents—to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
Log out and log back in. Launch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, you may have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window.
This action will delete any custom Mail stationery that you have created. If you want to preserve it, ask for instructions.
If you still have the problem, quit Mail again and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Repeat with this line:

How to edit text in an existing InDesign document?

I'm unfamiliar with InDesign, and I apologize in advance for what I'm sure
is a very beginner/dumb question, but I'm stuck. I've been using the Help
files, so far to no avail.
I have been given the simple (I thought!) task of changing a few lines of
text on an existing InDesign file, using CS3. But I have not been able to
edit these lines of text. What I've tried is selecting the text and using
the Text tool, but nothing that I do has made it possible for me to delete
text and type in new text.
Help of any kind would be very much appreciated!

Hi Kenneth, I checked, and "Frame Edges" are not turned off, and Hidden Characters isn't selected. What I mean by "nothing" is this: the cursor looks like the Eiffel Tower with two curves coming out of the top. When I click and drag, the cursor moves, but there nothing else happens visually at all. The above is what happens on the part of the document where I want to make the edit. In other parts of the document, following the same steps draws a light-blue-bordered rectangle. When I release the mouse button, the rectangle stays, and has a # sign on its left edge, and the cursor is a vertical line and blinking. But when I type, the cursor moves, but no letters appear. I've never heard of this software, and cannot find any reference to it online, which is a bit concerning. What is it supposed to do? There really isn't much need for security software on a Mac.

In Mac OS X 10.7, any applications left open when you shut down or restart are re-opened at startup, and any documents left open in an app when you quit are re-opened when you launch them again. The former can be controlled by unchecking the box in the restart/shutdown alert:
You will need to do this each time you shut down or restart, it won't remember that setting.
The latter can be deactivated by unchecking the box in System Preferences -> General:

That does not sound normal, but I don't use a mouse with my MBP, so I can't provide a solution, other than to try replacing the batteries in the mouse.

JFX 2.0 -fx-highlight-text-fill style has no effect

When I try to set the highlight-text-fill style for a TextBox, it has no effect. The highlight-fill style, however, works as expected.

In the meantime I noticed that -fx-prompt-text-fill seems to have the same problem. The prompt text is always gray, no matter which color I set in the style.

Use Powershell to replace text with image in Word document

I have a powershell script that uses a Word document as a template to create signatures that I am pushing out to my organization.
The document is populated with text formatted the way I want the signature to look, that I then do a FindText and ReplaceText on. This works fine for replacing text with text, but I can't figure out how to properly replace some of the holder text with
an image and a link. I found a few posts about adding images to word documents, but none that seem to work properly in this scenario.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Editing text tries to open previous document revision.

We just upgraded to CS5 and after a corrupt font file prevented us from opening CS4 and CS3 documents in CS5, we have most of hte glitches figured out.
Except... After I convert a CS3/4 document to .imdl then open it in CS5 and save as a CS5.indd, when we try to edit the document it attempts to open the most previous version of the document. For instance, we are editing a user guide that is at Rev_C, but it keeps trying to open Rev_B.
I can't figure out where or how the documents are linked. I am unable even to copy and paste the text or text boxes, images etc into a new document. So I am totally at a loss here... Any ideas would be appreciated!

I totally agree that something is seriously weird. So - Yes, these are CS4 docs that were converted and saved as CS5 docs.
In this case, we had created a new template (in CS4) and copied the text boxes from Rev_B over to the new CS4 document to create Rev C... There were no intentional links of any kind to the old Rev_B document. Is CS5 ready bookmarks or hyperlinks back to the Rev_B.
Even more odd... If we start a new document in CS5 and copy/paste the converted text boxes into the new doc we don't seem to have any problem!!
Thanks for the tip on .inx. I'll give that a try going forward.
