Possible to format {pubDate} in RSS demo?

Question

Is there a way to format {pubDate} in the RSS demo?
From my understanding, the setColumnType only serves as a
means to be able to sort date values.
Is there a way to format the date results in a more friendly
manner? (ie mm/dd/yyyy).

Nope, perfect. I had the dateformat stuff but didn't know how
to apply it...
i just started futzing with spry about 2 days ago and didn't
see the
filter() functionality. With that, I'm off and running.
