Post and Get value in jsp page
I have two pages
1. Occasion.jsp
2. Occasionsdetail.jsp
i select values from database in occasion for example

b
c
they become links when i click on one of these links it call Occasiondetail form. Where i want to display details of that particular record
On occasion page i am passing value which is displaying in last of address bar of occasionsdetail page
How can i use that value in occasiondetail form

Are your records javascript variables? If so, you can use a json formatter to serialize the records to a string and send it from PageA to PageB using mechanism that supports strings (i.e. query parameter, cookie, etc).

Help posting correct Array[value] to JSP page
Hello,
Can someone please tell me what is wrong with this? I am posting the following page (only a portion of the page is listed below) to another jsp page. It consists of a listing of books for sale. Next to each book is a separate "add to cart" button. I want to send the corresponding "isbn" (indexed in an Array) to the next page. When I add print stmts for each record, I can see that the correct isbn is attached to each book.
The problem is that when I post this to the next page, the formparm for isbn is always the 1st isbn in the array, instead of the selecgtedIsbn. Why???

Use NVL or COALESCE:
NVL (col_a, col_b)
Returns col_a if col_a is not NULL; otherwise, it returns col_b.
Col_a and col_b must have similar (if not identical) datatypes; for example, if col_a is a DATE, then col_b can be another DATE or it can be a TIMESTAMP, but it can't be a VARCHAR2.

Unable to get the AppsLocalLogin.jsp page
Hi,
We are on oracle Db 11.2.0.2 and EBS : 11.5.10.2 on Solaris Sparc 64 Bit 5.10.
We have recently added a web node to an existing setup.
Although Apache services are up , but we are unable to get the AppsLocalLogin.jsp page.
Replacing the domain name and Ip in line 4 with HOSTNAME.DOMAIN_NAME/IPADDRESS
We have found the below error in the Jserv log :

I want to connect SAP and send some values and get some results from BAPI with Visual Basic 6.0
I connected SAP successfull But I didn't send value to BAPI.
I want to connect SAP with BAPI_MATERIAL_GET_ALL BAPI and I want to send u2018000000000000980010u2019 parameter. So I want get the result from BAPI.
Could anyone help me about send and get value BAPI with VB 6.0?

With EnableQueryRules and ProcessBestBets set to true in the search rest api, we can get the promoted results(best bets) in SharePoint 2013.
I recommend to type the search rest api URL in the browser directly and then check if the best bets are displayed at the top of the search results.
It will not displayed inside the table for normal results.
Please also make sure that the query text matches the query rule condition.

Problem with post and get (jsp to servlet)

when submit is clicked in the login form, the data is send (to Login servlet) in the url string, even though i am using "POST" method in the form.
the output of request.getMethod() in the Login servlet gives "GET"
what could be the problem?The code you've shown us looks fine. The problem isn't in the form code you've listed. Is the form being included inside another form on index.jsp? Does index.jsp have any forms of it's own? Perhaps you aren't submitting the form you think you are submitting. Or, are you redirecting in your serlvet somewhere? Or are you forwarding the request somehow?
I agree with the previous post - we need to see the HTML output that index.jsp results in.

Getting values from jsp in portlet

I want to know if I submit values from a jsp page how can get those values in the portlet class (extends Generic portlet). I have tried accessing using actionRequest.getParameter() and also renderRequest.getParameter(). But I get null value .
Do I need to add the below shown line also to the jsp -

I created a sample portlet the way it is in notepad portlet and it worked fine for me . But the main difficulty is I am trying to convert an existing code and there the form submission happens in java script .The following code is used to submit the form and there I am not able to get the values in processAction().
Please check the java script code and let me know if I can change it in someway which can make the submitted values available in the processAction().

Thanks for the reply, it works. I was wondering whether this is an efficient way of doing this. What I want to do further is to setup a connection to a database and use the value I got from my previous page to query the DB and get the results and display.
I have see some code in the java website and a lot of people do by writting a bean /class(believe bean is just a class) and then importing it and do the things that way. I have good knowledge of OO and Java as a language and would definitely love to do it this way.
What i think i am missing is the basic idea to doing this way. So if you could let me know how to do this using java classes I would really appreciate it. If its too much to explain can u point to some good source(URL's) that explain's this. I have searched on this and all i find is code with no good explaination.

Posting huge data on to JSP page using JSTL tags
Hi,
I have one application where I have to post huge data (approximately 2000 rows of data) into JSP page. I am using JSTL tags and running on Tomcat 5.
It is taking almost 20 to 25 seconds to load the entire page.
Is it the optimal time to load or it could be improved?

Here are the tasks I am doing to display the data on JSP.
0. We are running on Tomcat 5 and the memory size is 1024MB (1GB).
1. Getting the data - I am not performing any database queries. The data is stored in the static cache memory. So the server side response is so quick - less than a milli second.
2. Using Java beans to pass data to the presentation layer (JSP).
3. 10 'if' conditions and 2 'for' loops and 2 'choose' statements are being used in the JSP page while displaying the data.
4. Along with the above, there are 4 javascript files are being used.
5. The jsp file size after rendering the data, is aprox. 160 kb
