Post code search for N82 maps

Does any one know how i can do a post code search in the uk for my nokia maps, it only seems to accept american zip codes. Every post code i tryed didnt work.
Cheers

If you allow nokia maps to connect to the internet it will search online for detailed information. If you don't allow it to connect it will only search the less detailed info thats included with the maps, this is called searching offline.
When you run nokia maps it should ask you if you want to go online. Yes allows it to connect, no doesn't allow it to connect.
If it doesn't ask you go to options > Tools > Go online
Searching online can incur data charges if data is not included in your tariff.

  • Post code search

    Bear with me...
    I have a MySQL table which contains a list of cities, the URL
    of their corresponding image (ie a pic of that city) and the first
    letters of the post codes of that city (eg CF for Cardiff, B for
    Birmingham).
    I have a search form which allows users to search for
    businesses by name and city or postcode.
    I want to insert a dynamic image of the city searched for. So
    far, if the user types "Cardiff" or "cardiff" or "car", the correct
    image appears. If he types "CF" or "cf", he gets the right image.
    BUT if he types "CF24 4AA", he gets nothing.
    In the query advanced panel the SQL looks like this:
    SELECT *
    FROM cities
    WHERE cityforpic LIKE TownPic% OR PostCodeStart LIKE PostC%
    Both variables TownPic and PostC are text, GET their data
    from the same text field, and are set to default value -1.
    So what am I doing wrong???????
    I am wellllllll past my deadline on this one, so any URGENT
    help greatly appreciated and will be rewarded with cyber-cocoa and
    biscuits! ;-P

    Hi mate,
    I have had major problems in this field too.
    I found this on the net:

    I hope it helps.

    I have for ex. some 100 table names in a custom table. and i want to search oracle's dba_source table for packages/functions/procedures. The output i want is e.g.
    <Package Name> < Table Name>
    Here this <Table name> is referred by the <Package Name>. In short i am trying to see these 100 table are referred by how many package/procedure/function code..i.e one by one.
    I am trying to find a way to write a SQL Query for this.(not cursors and packages etc.). Please help with your opinions
    Thanks

    You don't need to do all that job for your purpose.
    Try this
    select *

  • Debug ABAP code used for ABAP mapping

    Hi Experts,
    I have worked on Abap mapping. I have executed the code in SE24 to acheive desired mapping and the desired output is also generated.
    attached below is a part of the code i have used:
    method IF_MAPPING~EXECUTE.
    * initialize iXML
      TYPE-POOLS: ixml.
      CLASS cl_ixml DEFINITION LOAD.
    * create main factory
      DATA: ixmlfactory TYPE REF TO if_ixml.
      ixmlfactory = cl_ixml=>create( ).
    * create stream factory
      DATA: streamfactory TYPE REF TO if_ixml_stream_factory.
      streamfactory = ixmlfactory->create_stream_factory( ).
    * create input stream
      DATA: istream TYPE REF TO if_ixml_istream.
      istream = streamfactory->create_istream_xstring( source ).
    * parse input document =================================================
    * initialize input document
      DATA: idocument TYPE REF TO if_ixml_document.
      idocument = ixmlfactory->create_document( ).
    * parse input document
      DATA: iparser  TYPE REF TO if_ixml_parser.
      iparser = ixmlfactory->create_parser( stream_factory = streamfactory
                                            istream        = istream
                                            document       = idocument ).
      iparser->parse( ).
    I just want to debug and see if an input is provided how does each of these methods make a difference to it.
    I tried to input some value in the SOURCE parameter on executing the code but it is not working fine.
    Could you please suggest hiw i should go about so that i can see the exact way the input Xstring is affected by each of these methods in the debugger.
    Help will be appreciated.
    Many thanks,

    Hi Neha,
    Write a Small Report as Folows:
    1.  Create your XMl payload of Type xSTRING.
    2.  Call the method EXECUTE
    Place a Breakpoint on the method. and then keep debugging inside.
    the SetParamter method is obviously called from inside.
    This is the Simplesrt Solution.
    Reward points if useful

  • I am searching for displacement maps on Photoshop CS5.

    Displacement Maps should be inside the Photoshop application, in the Plug-Ins folder. But they are not there. I use PS CS5. If you know where they are, can you help me? Thank you in advance.

    In the event you would like to experiment with Displacement Mapping, I have attached a copy of an Information Sheet I wrote for my students.
    The Unique Effect of Displacement Mapping
    Displacement Mapping is the process of changing the geometry of an image so that such elements, as straight lines, are contoured according to the tones appearing the in image in the layer below it. This is how it is done.
    1. Open a file
    2. Choose Image > Duplicate. In the As: field enter file name as: filename_map.psd. (Example: man_map.psd). This file, which will ultimately serve as the Displacement Map must be in psd format.
    3. Choose Image > Mode > Grayscale.  Increase the image contrast using Curves or Levels. Since each image is unique, there is no exact setting. Then choose Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur. Once again, there is no set amount. The sample below is a useful guide.
    4. Save this file – filename_map.psd -- to the desktop.
    5. Open another file consisting of a pattern or type*. Drag that image over the full color image. It will be Layer 1. For the samples below, this was the image that was used. (You may recognize it as the Bayer array camera chip design.)
                 * If you choose to use type for Layer 1, it must be rasterized. After typing, choose Layer > Rasterize > Type.
    6. Choose Filter > Distort > Displace. The default numbers of 10 for Vertical and Horizontal Scale usually work very well. For greater displacement,15 is satisfactory, as well. Radio buttons should be set to Stretch to Fit and Repeat Pixel Edges. Click OK.
    7. Choose a Blend Mode of Multiply or Overlay (the results appear below). Experiment with other Blend Modes, as well. Adjust the opacity of Layer 1 for the most pleasing effect.
    8. In the images below, a mask was added to Layer 1 by clicking on the mask symbol at the bottom of the Layers panel. Then, by painting in black on the eyes, that area of the bottom layer was revealed.
    In the example below, the same Displacement Map was applied as had been used in the previous example. A light blue Stroke was applied to the rasterized type so that it would be readable against the black background of the image when the 100% Multiply Blending Mode was added, as shown at the bottom/right.

  • Top Questions for HERE Maps & Drive & Transit

    This thread is to share some of the common issues that are being raised in relation to the HERE Maps, HERE Drive and HERE Transit releases.
    Currently split in to the following sections:
    HERE Maps for Windows Phone
    HERE Drive for Windows Phone
    HERE Transit for Windows Phone
    Nokia Maps & Drive for Symbian
    HERE Maps for Windows Phone
    Can I sync my Maps favourites from my Symbian phone to my Windows Phone?
    Yes. Just sync the favourites on your Symbian phone with here.com. See the user guide of your Symbian phone for info on how to do this.
    Your favourites in here.com are automatically synced with your Windows Phone, if you're signed in to your Nokia account with your phone.
    Does HERE Maps work offline?
    Yes, on Windows Phone 8 devices HERE Maps can be used also in offline mode.
    With Nokia Maps on the Windows Phone 7 devices you need an online connection. In these devices the map data is streamed on as needed basis and it is not cached.
    Can I start Drive navigation from HERE Maps in my Nokia Lumia phone?
    Yes, on Windows Phone 8 devices you can start drive navigation from HERE Maps.
    On Windows Phone 7 devices you need to go to the Nokia Drive application to start the navigation.
    Why can't HERE Maps find my location?
    Check that you've allowed HERE Maps and your phone to find your location.
    In HERE Maps
    Go to Settings in the HERE Maps app and turn on Use your location
    In your phone settings
    In your phone's main menu, tap Settings > location > on.
    Things that can affect your GPS signal may include: being indoors, tall buildings, poor weather and some car windscreens. You'll also get a better fix on your location if you've got a data connection.
    HERE Drive for Windows Phone
    Can I use HERE Drive without a data connection?
    Yes. To use HERE Drive offline, tap Settings and choose Connection. You can then toggle between offline and online.
    Search results might be limited in offline mode. To be able to navigate offline, you need to download a map to your phone.
    What is the difference between HERE Maps and HERE Drive?
    HERE Drive is an application for voice-guided turn-by-turn driving navigation. HERE Maps is a map application which shows your current position and interesting places around you. You can also plan routes in HERE Maps but the app will launch HERE Drive for turn-by-turn navigation
    What's the difference between HERE Drive and HERE Drive+?
    HERE Drive offers turn-by-turn navigation in a single country or area, depending on the country of your SIM. Worldwide navigation is possible by purchasing an upgrade.
    HERE Drive+ is a premium app that comes with worldwide turn-by-turn navigation from the start. You can use it with or without a SIM.
    Users of HERE Drive can buy an upgrade to HERE Drive+ through the Windows Phone Store.
    HERE Transit for Windows Phone
    How do I install the HERE Transit application in my Windows Phone?
    Download and install HERE Transit from Microsoft Store. Start Store in your phone and search for HERE Transit or browse in Nokia collection.
    In Windows Phone 7 devices the corresponding app is Nokia Transport and it can be installed from Marketplace.
    Why can't HERE Transit find my route?
    If you're having trouble getting a route:
    Make sure the date, time and time zone on your phone are set properly.
    Check that you've got a data connection.
    A point in your route might be in a region where no transport info is available.
    The route is too long. HERE Transit is designed for use with local city public transport, not national or international transport.
    Can I save routes in HERE Transit?
    You can pin a journey from your current location as a tile to your Windows Phone start screen.
    Select the options icon at the bottom of the screen, and then the pin icon.
    Nokia Maps & Drive for Symbian
    How do I install Maps 3.09 in my phone?
    Maps 3.09 is available for compatible devices as part of the Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 bundle. Installing Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 will install the following applications in your phone:
    Nokia Maps 3.09
    Drive
    Places widget
    Public Transport v2
    Weather (not available in China)
    Guides
    Check in (only available in China)
    Map Loader
    You can install Nokia Maps Suite on your phone through one of the channels below:
    SW Update menu on your phone
    Nokia Suite (select Software updates > Applications available)
    Nokia Store (search for Nokia Maps Suite 2.0)
    When installing via SW Update menu or from Nokia Store, it is recommended to use a Wi-Fi connection or a cellular connection with data plan because a large amount of data will be transferred during the installation. Note that the installation may take a while to complete.
    After the installation you can launch the applications from the phone menu. You can add the application widgets also on the home screen (Map Apps, Places nearby).
    Can Nokia Maps be used in offline mode to avoid data costs?
    Maps can be used offline to avoid data charges, however the following will not be available in Offline Mode:
    View Satellite maps
    View Terrain maps
    Search the latest address/POI database
    Real-time Traffic and Safety updates
    Share your status, photos and location to your Facebook profile (Maps 3.03 and later)
    Get Weather forecasts
    See local event info from WCities (Maps 3.03 and later)
    Access Lonely Planet city guides (Maps 3.03 and later)
    Access the Michelin restaurant guide (Maps 3.03 and later)
    Synchronize your locations with Nokia Maps on the internet
    You can switch between Online and Offline mode by going to the Maps Settings and
    Select Internet or General
    Select Connection or Go Online at Start-up
    Please Note: Switching between Online and Offline mode in Maps will not prevent data charges through the user of Positioning settings such as AGPS and WiFi/Network positioning. These will need to be turned off in the Positioning Settings on your phone. Please see your phone manual for more information.
    How do I know if there is an update available for the map data in Nokia Maps 3.x?
    You can check if your device has the latest compatible Map data simply by connecting your device to a PC running Nokia Suite and selecting View > Go To > Maps.
    If you are using Mac, download Map Loader for Mac and then check if there's an available update for Map data (applies only for Maps 3.04 and older, version 3.06 and later not supporting Map Loader for Mac).
    With Maps 3.06 and later you can check the availability of map data updates and do the update over Wi-Fi (WLAN) connection by selecting:
    Maps 3.06: Update > Check for updates.
    Maps 3.08 and later: Map Loader > Check for updates.
    How can I start Drive navigation in Maps 3.08 (and later)?
    There is an icon for the Drive application available on your phone's home screen.
    You can also start drive navigation from Maps:
    1. Search for the destination.
    2. Select the place on the map and its information area at the top of the screen.
    3. Select Navigate, and Drive here.

    Got a Maps query? Check our Maps FAQ's

    Sorry, I'd like to unresolve this. The workaround mentioned is not a solution.
    I travel to loads of places by motorcycle, and going off the beaten track is wonderful. Since I upgraded My E6-00 and C7-00 to a Lumia 920, I'm back to allowing the SatNav (phone) to decide where I go. Boring dual carriageways and bypasses are now my natural habitat - bah humbug. Afterall, the phone is in my pocket (safe from weather), headphones in my helmet - I can't constantly look at a map. Having multiple 'favourites' and planning from one to the next isn't workable. Fair enough the Lumia 920 is usable with gloves on (major plus for a biker, come on you marketing people!) but I don't fancy re-routing all the time by the side of a road.
    I'm also planning a charity cycle ride over 100s of miles this Summer, and while that can be done in BikeRouteToaster, Google Maps etc, there is no import function into 'HERE' that I can see. It's impossible to plan a route on the device itself. Yes it can route walker (I can't seem to get turn by turn working for that, but nevermind), public transport and car, I have an option to avoid motorways etc, but cycle route planning needs consideration for height metres, unpaved/paved roads (Google StreetView etc used a lot to find a Sustrans route is actually unfit for road bikes) etc. So.. Importing a route planned elsewhere (gpx, kml or something) would be a real alternative, or a workaround. Asking the device to do its own planning from one point to another really isn't workable.
    Please make the Nokia's USP an actual USP again?

  • Using Find() in ExtendScript to search for Italics

    I believe it would be the right place to place my query.
    I'm trying to search for all Italics in my Document with Extendscript.
    findParams = AllocatePropVals(1);
    findParams[0].propIdent.num = Constants.FS_FindCharFmt;
    findParams[0].propVal.valType = Constants.FT_String, etc..
    How do I specify italic in the params?
    Michael
    [Thread split from original by moderator]

    Michael,
    First about the right place to place your query: you should start a new discussion instead, as your question will then appear in the list of topics rather than Oliver John's original question.
    About your query:
    Your code searches for a character format from the Character Catalog. If you have a character format that makes the text show up in Italics, you can use the name of that character format (which might or might not be "Italics"). But that will not include text sections that have been manually set to Italics (i.e. without applying a character format tag).
    If you want to find all text in italics in your document, you should go via the text properties instead of the character format tags. That method will include all text that is set to italics, regardless of the method (manual overrides or character format tags). Spelling out the entire code would take me too much time right now, but the outline is as follows:
    Loop through all Pgf objects in your document and do the following for each of them:
    Use the GetText method with the parameter FTI_CharPropsChange.
    In the array of TextItem objects, check whether the FTF_ANGLE property has changed.
    If the FTF_ANGLE property has changed, you use GetTextProps on the start location of the TextItem to establish whether the found text string has Italics applied.
    Good luck

  • Blackberry Maps & UK Post Codes

    I'm struggling to  make the most of Blackberry Maps on my 8520.
    When I try to search for an address using a post code, it only recognises the first 4 or 5 characters depending on whether its a 6 or 7 figure post-code. So when I try to put in my home address it locates a place 3 miles away from where I actually live.
    When i try to enter town and county I keep getting a message saying they are not recognised.
    I have only managed to save my location by manually finding it on the map.
    Any advice please - and is there a Blackberry Maps instruction manual anywhere??

    Hi
    when i want to use the Maps application, nothing happens apart from it saying "searching for satelites". My friend stood next to me with his 8900 and it found it perfectly. We have got the same BB, the same network provider (Orange) and our phones are only about a week apart TO when we got them.
    I switched on the GPS navigation but still nothing happens
    Please help, this is really annoying me!

    Your DisplayContainer constructor calls showSplashPanelAndExit()
    which will cause the application to end because of System.exit(0). Is
    this what you intend?

    hi D'za,

    A very important place where you will use JAVA in XI is while doing your Mapping. There will be cases when JAVA MAPPING is the best solution to go for. There are 2 types of Parsers available for JAVA Mapping. DOM Parser and SAX parser. Just got through the following links to understand more on Java Mapping and the APIs available.http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/javax/xml/parsers/package-summary.html http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/org/w3c/dom/Document.html http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/org/w3c/dom/package-frame.html /people/prasad.ulagappan2/blog/2005/06/29/java-mapping-part-i

  • Search for users in a particular LDAP through Web Dynpro code...

    Hi Experts,
    Let me try explaining my problem. In my project we are using two ADAM LDAPs. One for storing internal users and the other for storing external users. I have configured the portal to connect to both the LDAPs. I am able to search for the users created in both the LDAPs through portal Indentity Management.
    I am trying to search for the users in a specific LDAP through Web Dynpro coding... I am not lucky enough to get it done. Let me explain you what I did.
    I created a custom attribute for UME through config tool. Gave a physical mapping for the custom attribute in dataSourceConfig_xxx.xml to the LDAP attribute distinguishedName which returns the distinguished Name for the user in ADAM LDAP.
    For Example: Custom attribute in UME is ldapuser which is mapped to distinguishedName attribute in ADAM LDAP in dataSourceConfig_xxx.xml.
    When I do a search for the users in a particular LDAP, I am trying to put a filter to the newly created ldapuser attribute to distinguish between the two LDAPs.
    The search will result if I pass the value as '*'. If I try to specify the user path for the LDAP in this attribute it doesnt result any data.
    For example:
    userSearchFilter.setSearchAttribute(
         "com.sap.com.cust.admn",
          "ldapuser",
         "OU=16482515,OU=Members",
         ISearchAttribute.LIKE_OPERATOR,
         false);
    The above code will not return the data, whereas
    userSearchFilter.setSearchAttribute(
         "com.sap.com.cust.admn",
          "ldapuser",
         ISearchAttribute.LIKE_OPERATOR,
         false);
    Will result with user list from both the LDAPs.
    If anyone tried searching for users in a particular LDAP through code, please help me with this issue.
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards,
    Rekha Malavathu

    I just figured it out. Under "group-policy GroupPolicy_COMPANY_SSL_VPN attributes", I had to add "vpn-simultaneous-logins 15". Apparently, it was using the value "vpn-simultaneous-logins 0" under the NOACCESS group policy.

  • Additional field post code 2 in search in webui

    Hi,
    I am new to crm webui.I need to add the additional field post code to search this field is not available in the context node but is a standard feature.Please tell me step by step.
    P.S points will be awarded.

    The good news is that the field is in the underlying search function module used by Business Partner Search.
    All you need to do is the following:
    Add the field
    POST_CODE2 data element AD_PSTCD2 to the structure CRMST_HEADER_SEARCH_BUIL.
    This should magically make the element available for search and you will only need to configure your screen to have the element bound beyond the context node config.
    I believe this should work, based on looking at the code used for the BP search.
    Good luck,
    Stephen

  • Dreamweaver cs5.5 opening files after searching for text code

    This just occured this afternoon.  I was working on a page and when I went to search for text in the code (ie "/head") dreamweaver would open a previously opened page.  In other words I was working on "walk.php" and when I did the search for "/head", dreamweaver opens "add_rsurvey_data.txt".  I know what the 2nd file is but I haven't opened it in months.  It's just a temp data file that my partner sent me.
    I'm using cs5.5

  • Any way to search for casts in java source code?

    Anyone know of a decent way to search your java source files to find all the casts?
    I ended up doing a simple text search for
         " = ("(quote marks not included) which works for my code because I am strict about writing my casts with spaces like
         String s = (String) iterator.next();Unfortunately, the above search has all kinds of problems with both false positives and negatives. It picks up lots of irrelevant lines like
         int index = (number > 0) ? 0 : 1;as well as misses casts that appear nested inside expressions like
         ((String) iter.next()).charAt(...)I suppose that one could do a regular expression search for any pair of open and close parens which bound non-blank text, but that would pick up even more non-cast expressions in typical java code.
    I think that the only way to properly do this is to have a tool which understands java syntax.
    Anyone know of an IDE which will do this? Does IntelliJ or Netbeans support this kind of search?
    In case you are wondering why I am interested in this, it is because I am refactoring some code to fully use generics, and searching for casts is one source of identifying candidates for genericity.

I just opened IntelliJ, and going back to at least version 7.04 (maybe earlier) they have an inspection for "Redundant type cast".

    I would still be interested to know if there is a way to identify casts in general in your source, perhaps now four years later there is a way?The only solutions that I can think of are either a complicated regex search, or you must use some tool like an IDE that understand Java syntax and can determine if a cast is happening.
