Post DPM 2012 r2 install.. DPM Agents showing "needs update" even though at version 4.2.1205.0

I've done a migration from Dpm 2010 all the way up to 2012 R2 at this point.. on x64..
There were previous clients on the system using version 3.x of the agent.. i tried the install update option in the gui on the server but found I had to manually uninstall the old dpm agent on each server and then install the new agent..
Now on the dpm server it still says each one needs updated.. I ran a refresh, rebooted both the server with the agent and the dpm server to no avail..
How do I get the dpm server to realize that verison 4.2.1205.0 is installed? I think this is a sql db update issue.. i do not want to have to delete the whole protection
group and start over.. its quite massive..

Edit: did i need to set a dpm server name upon running each agent install.. i didnt do this thus far..

manually running the command to setdpmserver name seems to have done the trick.. only issue is i have about 40 machines to roll through to set this

Not all my songs are showing in itunes even though they are in the itunes Media Dir. I have spent hours trying to find out why so I moved the songs out of the Music/itunes/itunes media and uninstalled itunes. I then restarted my pc and re-installed itunes. When I opened itunes the same songs are still there (but cannot be played as cannot find location) even though I have not put anything back in the itunes media dir. To me there seems to be a refreshing problem as itunes is not looking at the directory even through the advanced preferences area is mapped to the correct area.

Apple's official advice on duplicates is here: Find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as lost ratings and playlist membership, or that sometimes the same file can be represented by multiple entries in the library and that deleting one and recycling the file will break the other.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background, this post for detailed instructions, and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed.)
The most recent version of the script can tidy dead links as long as there is at least one live duplicate to merge stats and playlist membership to and should cope sensibly when the same file has been added via multiple paths.

When I totally close eyetv and reopen eyetv and open a live tv window the closed captioning comes back. I never noticed this with os leopard, Just after i installed os snow leopard. All software is up to date only I think, thanks to apple they droped support for logic express. Thanks for any suggestions.

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

Call showing as abandoned even though set to handled

In our script we're allowing callers on hold to request a call back. This is achieved by inserting a menu option with prompt to push 1 and a redirect to another script that records number and message.
All works great but all calls that request call back show as abandoned even though we've inserted a "Set contact info" to handled in the successful section of the re-direct.
Again just to state my question is around reporting (the actual call back function works great)
In reporting the cal still shows up in the abandoned report, my understanding was that by setting the contact info to handled before the redirect it would stop this happening.
Also have tested moving the "Set contact into" up to the "ReqCallback" option in the menu.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The Set Contact Info step cannot be used to mark a Contact as Handled from an ACD metrics perspective. The only thing that can influence the CSQ metric for Handled is if an Agent answers the call.
The Set Contact Info step will mark the Contact as Handled from an IVR metrics perspective.
What you might want to do is, use the Dequeue step, and possibly one of the Custom Call Variables to mark the call appropriately.
Let me know if that makes sense to you, or if I wasn't clear enough.

Once again, my thanks for your assistance. If I may impose on your generosity one more time, if I understand you correctly if I create a document on Word or WordPerfect, print it and scan it to create a pdf, the search function will not work. But, if I create the pdf document in Word the search function will work. Unfortunately, I am not sure how I create a pdf document in Word other than by printing it and scanning it. Could you please explain.

Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

I have a similar problem. I actually spoke with a Paypal customer Representative a few months back who informed me that they had deleted all of my previous *Hidden* Address but when I just purchased an item today on a online merchant's site that I had never been to before and checked out using their Paypal option, I noticed that my default shipping address was in fact my old address and when I went to change the address to my current address, I noticed all of the old addresses I ever used were still there. I've just spoken with 2 separate paypal representatives who confirmed on their end that all of the old address have been deleted and the only one they have on file is my current address. Can anyone provide me an explanation as to why the old hidden address can still be showing up when I check out on merchant's sites using paypal even after they've seemingly been deleted? The last Representative suggested clearing out my browser's cache, but I don't believe that will resolve my issue. Thank you in advance.

Long standing problem, much discussion on the forums. Typically it has to do with incompatibility of Microsoft Exchange email client. See the links on "More Like this" at right.
Two solutions:
One is to zip compress the file and send the attachment that way.

It sounds as though you haven't logged in to the service yet. From the ExportPDF website, click Sign in at the upper-right corner, and log in to the service with your Adobe ID credentials. Now, when you click ExportPDF, you'll be prompted to select PDF files to export, instead of being asked to subscribe.

I would like to install Office ProPlus with the display level visible to the user. Not all users are local admins so I've installed Office within the admin context. Does this happen because SCCM installs under system context and as such suppresses
pop ups to the end user?
Has anyone been able to get this to work or am i doing something wrong? If someone can offer me some guidance please. Here is my XML:

When i install Office 365 ProPlus manually (independently of SCCM) I see the prompts (same SCCM Package and configuration.xml file). This suggests it is suppressed when ran in the system context via SCCM.
How does Microsoft expect you to maintain the build versions (running setup.exe /configure XML) if users are unable to view the prompts? This is significant if the user is already in an Office program they'd get prompted with a message to close the app else
it automatically closes OR fails depending on if you include the ForceAppShutdown switch in the configuration.xml file.
The users in the environment are not all local admins which is why i cannot run the deployment in the user context.

Also, what are the source of your contacts? are they created on the phone, or you synced from yahoo/hotmail etc.
If thats the case, the circular arrow wont be visible but instead show "groups"

On my Apple Mac version... 2 things have changed which I don;t understand why?
1) Bookmarks do not show up on the "bookmark toolbar", even though there is a "tick" showing next to it on the menu - > View>Toolbars>Bookmark Toolbars (ticked)
I have unticked.. then re ticked.. but this doesn't fix it.. even though you can see the area where it goes drops up or down according to whether it is ticked or not.
So I cant drag a URL to the Bookmark toolbar anymore. @#$!
2) My other problem is (which probably relates to the same issue) I have heaps of bookmarks on the the bookmarks toolbar... and the overflow goes to the drop down tab on the right hand side o tab area. This only shows current open tabs now.. I want my overflow bookmarks under that drop down tab like they use to...

WB 1.6.0 has not updated even though Logic Pro 9.1.1 is installed

I've posted this also on the Logic Pro forum.
My computer refused to update Waveburner 1.6.0 to 1.6.1 even though Logic 9.1.1 is installed - tells me everything is up to date, which it is not!
How do I get it to comply?
Can I somehow uninstall the 9.1.1 update and the reinstall? and how would I do that?

When I open a pdf document from my dropbox to view it, the document shows up blank, even though it is filled out. This also happened with pdf documents that have been e-mailed to me.

When I open emails with PDFs I click on the attachment (doing this all on my iPad) it gives me the option to "open in iBooks", I accept then after that the document is sucked into my iPad but I can't do anything with the PDF after that. Where is the actual file on my iPad? Why can't I email or send these PDFs to my cloud (Dropbox)?
It's like once they go into iBooks they're stuck forever.
