Post of Excise Inv in Issuing Plant for STO

Hi Gurus
For STO, when we transfer from factory to depot, we will post the excise invoice in the receiving plant (depot).. Is there any possibility to post the excise invoice in the issuing plant instead?
Appreciate yr reply..
Rgds..Vinz

Hi,
The process is like this, when you craete the STO you will be generating the Proforma invoice, with reference to the Proforma invoice you will have to generate the excise invoice through J1iin, this will post the exicse invoice at the sending factory. You can pay the excise duty through J2iun, wheil receiving the goods at depot you will be just updating the Rg23d table through J1ig and there will not be any excise payment at depot.

    Hi,
    Simply go to One-step or two-step stock transfer method b/w Plants;
    1. MIGO - Transfer Posting > Others (Movement Type - 301 for 1-Step Procedure)
    OR
    2. MIGO - Remove from Storage > Others (Movement Type - 303) and then w.r.t. this material document do Place in Storage using movement type 305 (2-Step Procedure)
Note: - Configure Company Code Clearing A/c in transaction OBYA.

  • Customer sales return - excise inv creation issue

    Dear expert,
We are testing the "Customer sales Return" scenario for one of our client. Our process is,
    1. Create sales return order (VA01) with ref or without reference
    2. Create return delivery (VL01N)
    3. Perform Post goods Receipt (VL02N)
    4. Create Credit Note (VF01) - Here in this case we are differ. We are creating the "Credit Note" with reference to return delivery not with ref to sales return order
Since we planned to create the credit note with reference to "Return delivery", we have defined the CIN related customizing as "Assign Billing Types to Delivery Types".
Then we tried to create the excise Invoice using Transaction J1IIN. But we are getting the error message as
Billing document 3134000001 does not exist
                                  Message no. 8I422
Kindly give your suggestion to overcome this issue.
    Warm Regards,
    Nag

    Dear Experts,
             Thanks for your quick response.
Yes, already we maintained the billing relevance field in item category maintained as "A" & Copy contorl in VTFL also. Due to this we can able to create the "credit Note" in Transaction VF01. But during excise Invoice creation only we are facing the above mentioned issue.
Feedback for the response from SDL:-
Yes, we came to know that, for customer sales return process we need to raise a JV only not the excise invoice creation in J1IIN. But we are in the assumption that, this scenario is applicable of we are creating the "Credit Note" with reference to return sales order.
But in our case, we are creating the "Credit Note" with reference to "Return delivery". Since delivery is involved in the process we are in the assumption that we can able to create the excise invoice using J1IIN after maintaining the configuration in the "Assign Billing Types to Delivery Types" area.
Please give your valuable feedback on this.

    Nag

  • Not able to post J1I5 (Excise Updation for reversal document)

    Hi,
We have reversed the material document with "MBST".
SAP does not update the reversal excise entries  for the document posted through MBST.
SO WE ARE TRYING TO UPDATE EXCISE (PART1) THROUGH J1I5.
Input given are Posting date, Excise Group, company code,Plant, Material document and classification as "IPD"
We are getting the material document list after executing the J1I5 but not able to simulate and Post the same
    Error "Processing over ZERO Records.
    Thanks
    Prakash

    hI,
Go to J1IS click cancel excise invoice (Shift+F6) , give the internal document number of your excise invoice created and year then click the cancel excise invoice , it will cancel the excise invoice .If u go to J1IS and cancel the document only the excise invoice created will be cancelled, no accounting entries will be generated. In order to capture accounting entries you have to fetch the accounting document of J1IS through table j_1iexcdtl and j_1ipart2, pass a reversal entry for the accounting document through FB08. And if you want to post again with the same material documents create the excise invoice in J1IS with respective same material document

  • For STO with billing how to take material in plant stock without cancelling excise duty

    Hi,
Please suggest for STO with billing how to take material back in plant stock without cancelling excise duty.
    Scenario is
Material transffered from manufacturing plant to depot, material is in transit now, but due to some reason material calls back to manufacturing plant.
Since the excise invoice is raised and material move out of factory client can not cancel excise invoice from legal point of view & client has to pay excise duty for the material movement.
Please suggest how to take back goods to manufacturing plant without cancelling excise invoice.
We have suggested client as there is no provision to take back goods to manufacturing plant without cancelling excise invoice
and to take back material to manufacturing plant stock they have to cancel excise invoice and other related documents.
But client is asking for another options. So requesting you to please suggest any alternative ways for same.
    Thanks,
    Amit

client can not cancel excise invoice from legal point of view & client has to pay excise duty for the material movement
I don't think, there is a statutory rule which says, manufacturer should not cancel the excise invoice generated on their Depot plant.  Justification can very well be given to Excise authorities and hence, ask your client to follow the normal process by treating this as Depot returns.

  • Change the issue quantity for different plants

We are facing a problem in the following issue.
A material is being used in two plants. The material is procured from vendors in packets. The pack quantity varies for each plant for the same material since it is procured from different vendor. The base unit of measure for the material in the material master is maintained as NOS and the unit of issue is PAC. The alternative unit of measure in the material master can be maintained for only one PAC. If the pack quantity varies for different plant, how to maintain in the material master.
    For example : -
    Plant I u2013 Vendor A u2013 Pack quantity u2013 200nos.
    Plant II u2013 Vendor B u2013 Pack quantity u2013 300 nos.
While creating reservation in plant II for one pack, the stock keeping quantity is 200 nos. On issue the issue quantity is 200 nos, but our requirement is the system should issue 300 nos. Kindly give solution to the problem.

    Hy afzal,
I don't think it is possible to maintain different Conversion factor for 2 different plant for a single material.
Acording to me there is 3 way to comeout of this problem.
    1) Create different Material codes for both plants.
    2) Insted of using alternate unit of measure use Batch specific unit of measure. But for this Materials are Batch Managed.
    [Batch Specific Unit of measure|http://help.sap.com/bestpractices/BBLibrary/Documentation/Q24_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_US.doc]
    3) Try to convince one of the vendor to change its packing qty/Packet.

  • Single folio number should be generated for a GR excise inv.(Depot receipt)

    Dear all,
How to fullfill requirment of same folio number should be generated in RG23D in a excise invoice(depot goods receipt)
for a material with multiple batches ? (This is a depot good receipt from plant using MIGO / J1IG,
further this material is sold to customer).
In standard, folio number is unique for each of line items in RG23D register.
Whether above requirement can be addressed using CIN user exit if any available ?
If it can be addressed through CIN user exit, what will be implications or results in subsequent process
for deviating from standard function ?
Kindly provide your valuable thoughts about this requirment ?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
Thanks for enlightening me.Just checked, it is getting triggered before the number is getting generated for the object "J_1IRG23D" and Internal no.
However was not able to see any loop for CALL FUNCTION 'NUMBER_GET_NEXT'. Anyways kindly keep us updated about your progress on this requirement.

  • Problem Posting Receipt From Production and Issue for Production

    Hi Everyone,
I am posting Receipt from Production and Issue for Production through DIAPI in SAP Business One 2007A SP00 PL03.
I am using following lines of code
    oDocument.Lines.SetCurrentLine(0);
    oDocument.Lines.BaseEntry = int.Parse(BaseEntry);
    oDocument.Lines.Quantity = double.Parse(Quantity);
    lRetCode = oDocument.Add();
The Document adds perfectly but when I open the document in SAP Business One i am not able to see the Order Number at Line level on which this document was Based.
I identified the problem being Order Number Column being binded to BaseRef field hence form is not able to Show the Order Number and we cannot set BaseRef via DIAPI since the property to set that field is not exposed.
I donot want to update the table through a Recordset Update Query. I would appreciate if the property to set that field is exposed by SAP or any other workaround can be put forward by anyone who has faced the same problem.
    Thanks
    Kapil

    Do you need to set
oDocument.Lines.BaseType = 17 (if this is sales order)
    and then baseentry = baseentry....etc
If you bind the base entry correctly it should alwasy shows the base document on both database as well as front end. I have never had any problem with this
    Sincerely

  • Stop automatic trigger and post of Excise invoice

    Hello,
When I save a billing document, the excise invoice is automatically getting triggered in the background. I want to stop this from happening, as customer wants to do it manually using J1iin transaction.
In Customizing, I have removed (unchecked) the "Excise Inv during Billing" field in for my concerned Excise group. In spite of this the excise invoice is getting generated in background, this is for sale from factory scenario.
I have maintained the "Default Excise group and Series group" for my sales area, plant and shipping point combination, without which the system issues an error message while doing billing.

    Raj

    Thanks for your replay Lakshmipathi.
But this is a new roll out that were are doing for India and hence dont think of any user exits written. We are using SAP ECC 5.
We have observed that there were some SAP notes missing hence resulting in short dump, can this also be because of some missing OSS note. I tried to look in SAP market place but didnt find any note pertaining to this issue. Is there any mandatory list of OSS notes that needs to be present to successfully run the Indian business process.
Can you also please confim me one more thing, why is system asking for Default Excise and Service group when I have not selected the "Excise Inv during Billing" for the excise group.
