  • Able to post with Invoice Balance Difference.

In MIRO, at the top right, the field called Balance (RM08M-DIFFERENZ), if I do an F1, the description specifically says the following...
"The system can only post an invoice if the difference is zero."
We have gone into OMR6 to set the price variance to be upper limit 10%.
So now have created a PO for $100, performed the goods receipt in full. I am in MIRO, referenced the $100 PO. At the header amount I have entered $125. The balance field properly shows a difference of positive $25. I click simulate. I do not get any warning messages and I am able to post the document.
    WHY?

    Hi,
If want to Restrict MIRO posted greater than PO values and quantities ,then
Maintain the message setting in t.code: OMRM
    1. M8 -081 & 504 Quantities invoiced greater than goods receipt quantity as error& maintain GR-based IV in the PO item level.
    2. M8 -087 - Invoice quantity greater than PO quantity (item without GR) as error
Also do setting in OBMSG t.code for both MESSAGES AS ERROR & SAVE.
Now for your case System triggers DIF(cost of goods sold account) key as Balance field in the invoice is not ZERO and have some value.
As needed maintained tolerance % for MIRO for your company code for tolerance key  DQ( Exceed amount: quantity variance ) as 5 %  or 10 % & save

  • Automatic invoice reduction - MIRO XBLNR1 - Reference field

    Hello all,
I've set up the automatic invoice reduction in MIRO due to errors in vendor invoice (with subsequent credit received in paper).
In this process there are two FI documents (A1 for invoice and background A2 for reduction) regarding the original MM document.
The user uses "refence" field in invoice header to relate to the vendors physical document but the field only goes into A1 (BKPF) document and not A2, event with this A2 being background document and in it's master this reference field being mandatory...
How can I put the reference field in A2 as well?
    Regards.

    Hello,
Procedure for posting the Invoice Reduction :
    (1) Enter the T.Code MIRO - Select the Transaction as Invoice only.

  • Process description : Invoice Reduction

    Hi
I hope someone can explain the process Invoice Reduction.
I have made a PO for 10 pc of 100 EUR each - total 1000 EUR. I make a GR for the PO.
Then I register an Invoice (MIRO) for 1100 EUR from the vendor and park it because this is wrong.
I change the parked invoice to 1000 EUR and change  the Layout to "Invoice reduction" and change the Correction Indicator to "Vendor error: reduce invoice".
This will alow me to post the invoice without any problems.
I have configured the REKL document for creating the print and maintained the condition for the vendor and this do not create any correction document.
I know that when i first park the document the system has not posted it before I change it, but is it not the process??
Can anyone please tell med how to run/trig an invoice reduction document and explain the process?
    Thanks in advance
    Jesper

You have not actually posted a Invoice reduction as the final invoice is for 1000 Eur only.
Only when you post the invoice to a value that is not proposed by the system Invoice reduction gets actually posted. It is not in anyway linked to the process of keeping the invoice on Parked status before posting it.
    The process is as follows:
Allow the system to pick up the values for the invoice in MIRO transaction. Then go to invoice reduction layout. Click on the vendor error as the case may be. Then under the column actual invoice value enter 1100 Eur or any value that is different that what was proposed by the system You have to enter the actual qty and actual value. Only when the actual value columns are filled up invoice reduction posting happens

  • Error 'Document 1000 0000000001 2014 already assigned' while posting invoice reduction

    Hi Gurus,
    here is my situation:
    I have created sch.agreement,
    GR done and posted IR.
Now created credit memo through MIRO to reverse my previous invoice.
then posted IR(consider number as 0000000001) with higher price.
then this invoice was rejected by buyer due to higher price.
now when i am trying to post this invoice through invoice reduction i am getting an error F5-152: 'Document 1000 0000000001 2014 already assigned'.
Please note that here the number range customized as external and user dont want to change it to internal.
So, Please help me to solve this issue ASAP.

Hi Sankar, By looking at your issue, It seems number range has been maintained in such a way where MM Document number = FI Document number where in FI External number range is maintained for RE document type. If this is the case, first check whether Document mentioned above is already generated in FI.(check in FB03) or it is already available in MM.(check in MIR4) By comparing the Number range of FI and MM you can get an idea in which number range problem exists. Then go to that respective internal and change the completed number range by one number so that this mismatch can be set right. But before changing ensure that above said pre-requisites are met. • MIRO post - Invoice Reduction Scenario - Duplicate SPLIT_KEY in RBWS

    Hi Experts,
I came across a challenging issue... seeking help from you...
MIRO posting Vendor is Subjected to withholding tax & INVOICE REDUCTION scenario..... As per SAP Invoice Reduction scenarion, MIRO creates Invoice and subsequent debit memo for reduction amount.
When User try to post the LIV document, transaction returns the " Express Termination error " due to Duplicate entries are accumulated for Table RBWS with same SPLIT_KEY (Grouping key for Splitting Vendor line item ) for 2 sets of withholding Tax entries. ST22 system dump happens in FM- MRM_WITHHOLDING_TAXES_SAVE. Couldn't able to find the reason for Duplicate SPLIT_KEY
I Would like to understand significance of SPLIT_KEY in RBWS ? and
Under what circumstance MIRO posting will have different SPLIT_KEY
in RBWS for same MM document ??
Any insight would be great help.
    Regards,
    Sri

I agree, you can use the Credit Memo functionality in SAP, but I don't think you can print out a form once the credit memo form to send to the Vendor that states you are taking the debit.  It would also be useful if this process was automated.  The invoice is blocked, you determine that the Vendor is at fault, the Credit Memo is automatically posted and a Debit Memo is printed out.  Anyone aware of any bolt on software that might help?

    Hi,
    1.- read this OSS Note:
    https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1156325
    here it says:
An active implementation of this BAdI excludes the manual entry of the withholding tax base and amount.
You define the settings for the calculation in Financial Accounting Customizing under the following activity:
Define Withholding Tax Type for Invoice Posting
    Have you done that?
2.- read this OSS Note too:
    https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1286713
    according to this note:
When you create an implementation for the BAdI MRM_WT_SPLIT_UPDATE,
fill the internal tables TE_RBVS[] and TE_RBWS[] as follows:
    TE_RBVS[] = I_RBKPV-H_RBVS[].
    TE_RBWS[] = I_RBKPV-H_RBWS[].
it seems you should do the same.
    e.g.
    TE_RBWS[] = LT_RBWS[].
3.- you´re filling internal table lt_lfbw but you´re not doing anything with it, why?
    Best regards.

  • How do I post an Invoice with 'on hold' status using this BAPI?

    Hey everyone,
Okay, I'm working on an interface that will take Incoming Invoice information we receive from vendors and post it into the SAP system.  I'm still relatively new to ABAP, so it's a little slow-going for me...
The BAPI is IncomingInvoice.  What we want to do is try to post the Incoming Invoice using the CreateFromData method.  That part, I'm clear on.  However, if there are any problems, the client wants us to post it with a status of 'on hold.'
I'm been doing a lot of searching and a lot of BAPI documentation reading, but I'm not finding the answer.  I thought at first I could use the Change method, but it looks like I have to have an Invoice already out there in a particular status.  So if the CreateFromData somehow fails and doesn't really post an Invoice, then I think using the Change method is pointless.
I thought the answer was to use the PreliminaryPostSingle method, as the documentation states that "enables you to post provisional invoice documents. Provisional invoice documents have the status 'on hold', 'on hold (from parking)', 'parked', 'parked as complete' or 'parked and released'."  But here's the kicker -- it expects IMPORT parameters of the INVOICEDOCNUMBER and FISCALYEAR.  But I don't have those yet, right?  Why does the method tell me it can post documents with this kind of status, but it expects me to provide key fields to an Invoice that doesn't yet exist, doesn't have a field that lets me set the status, and only returns the standard "return" table?
I'm pulling my hair out on this one, guys.  I'm really hoping someone out there can help out.  As always, helpful posts will be duly rewarded with points.  Thanks everyone!

Vyerah, sorry for the delay in the reply, but we only recently decided how to approach this.  Due to further discussions about the criteria, it was decided that we wouldn't worry about the "on hold" -- if we try to post an Incoming Invoice and it fails, then it'll be reported as such in an output file.
Certainly made my life easier, as I thought I was going to have to clone the BAPI and try to get it so that it posted with an "on hold" status.  I'm very, very surprised to see that, apparently, SAP doesn't provide a function or BAPI to allow you to post an Invoice as "on hold."  Oh well.
Anyway, I wanted to give you the update.  Thanks again!

  • Invoice posting with total discount

    Hi Experts,
I am not having strong knowledge of LIV. We have some issue here which is as below.
    1. On supllier catalog item net price is $110 and discounted price is $100.
    2. User create purchase order of 5 quantity with net price (discounted price) of $100.
    3. Now supplier sends invoice with 110 unit price total of 550 with discount of $50. How we can post this invoice. Where we can put $50 ($50 is total discount per invoice not the item discount)
Please advise is there any discount field at header where we can enter total discunt and it will calculate tax on (Total amount of all items - total discount).
    Regards,
    Kamal

    Hi All,
Here is my issue. Please advise.
My vendor sends discount at header level in invoice. I want to distribute this discount to all line items. Example is
    Purchase Order
Line Item              Price per Unit              Qty       Total item price
    1                          9                                10         90
    2                          900                             1          900
    Invoice from Vendor through EDI
Line Item              Price per Unit              Qty       Total item price
    1                          10                              10         100
    2                          1000                            1          1000
Discount at header level USD 110
I believe by entering 110 in "Cash Discount" field, system should distribute discount to each line item. Is my understanding correct, if yes then my system is not behaving this way. Please advise what are the steps needed for this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kamal

  • Post Vendor invoice with Down Payment via BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE

    Hi Experts,
We have configured downpayment functionality for PO's. We have below process
Create PO with down Payment request -> Create down payment request -> Run payment program for paying down payment -> Post GR -> Post invoice with BAPI (considering down payments against invoice)
But unfortunately when I am trying to post PO invoice with downpayment details using BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE I do not see any fields related to down payment. Can some one confirm me if SAP has provided this functionality? if NO any workarounds?

  • Posting_interface_clearing Fb05 transfer posting of invoices with cash disc

    Hi
We have a customised program that uses function module POSTING_INTERFACE_CLEARING to do a FB05 transfer posting with clearing of  invoices to a liabaility GL account
It works perfectly except for the following scenario
When we have invoices in USD currency posted in a canadian company code with cash discounts, the function module returns a "Difference in clearing" error
Is there any way we can activate the cash discounts in the transaction?
    Thanks
    Deeoa

    Hi
When we perform the FB05 transaction, we need to activate the discounts. If we dont activate the discount, we get the same error
"Difference is too large for clearing"
I am trying to see how we can change the building of this call transaction to be able to let the function module take care of activation of cash discounts.
This happens if the cash discount and amounts are in local currency of the company code.
I am trying to see what is different when clearing invoices in foreign currency
I am a functional person trying to see where the gap is

  • Post GR & Invoice with different UOM

    Hi All,
I have a scenario where I'd like to create a Purchase Order using a material master which has a UOM conversion so e.g. 1EA = 2KG
My PO would be ordered with 1EA.
My goods receipt would be done with 2KG
Ideally, I'd like the invoice to be posted with 2KG as well.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
    Thanks in advance,
    Paula

    Hello Paula,
I tried LIV in our system and it works well as long as the invoice amount is within the tolerence amount (Absolute value of $50.00 has been configured). In the Invoice item details table control, SAP shows item in ordering unit (10 CS ordered, 110 PC received, 1 CS = 12 PC) of 9.167 CS. I hope, this is the kind of result are you looking for?
    Thanks,
    Venu
