This is for the updation of the past data where they have maintained the time format as 12 hr format.Since while uploading, it is very difficult to change into 24 hr time format and i need to change the settings so that system should take the input as 12 hr format. There is no problem whatever the output shows either 12 hr or 24 hr format.
Please throw some ideas

How to change the day and time seen on the calendar

Hi.
I am a bit confused as to how to restrict the day and time shown on a calendar.
The ical help says this:
To change the days of the week or the number of hours that appear in the main calendar view, choose iCal > Preferences, and make your choices from the Week and Day pop-up menus in the General pane. For example, you can choose to only see the hours from 9AM to 5PM on Monday through Friday.
However, in my preferences pane, i don't have a either a week or day pop up menu that i can see, so i can't seem to restrict these fields. It's really frustrating as calendars are beginning at 1am!!!!
Anybody got any ideas?

OK, but what did the help menu mean when it said..
To view the day's, week's, or month's events, click the Day, Week, or Month button at the bottom of the iCal window.
To change the days of the week or the number of hours that appear in the main calendar view, choose iCal > Preferences, and make your choices from the Week and Day pop-up menus in the General pane. For example, you can choose to only see the hours from 9AM to 5PM on Monday through Friday.
To change which months are shown in the mini-month calendar (in the lower-left corner of the iCal window), click the arrows above the mini-month calendar. To see more than one month, drag the mini-month divider (the horizontal gray bar above the diamond) upward.
To see events that are earlier or later in the day, use the scroll bar on the right side of the main calendar view.
To change the range of time in the main calendar view that is not shaded (representing your "normal" day), choose iCal > Preferences. In the General pane, choose the times you want to appear in white (not shaded) from the "Day starts at" and "Day ends at" pop-up menus. All times outside that range are shaded.
This suggests that you should be able to limit the hours actually shown on the calendar to a set range as opposed to just changing the shaded area.
Have you any idea how to achieve this, as i don't see the popup menu suggested with...

Apple Remote Desktop - how to change the date and time server ip address?

Our imacs keep getting out of synch with our Windows Active Directory server and when they do, users can no longer log into the imacs. The imacs this morning were more than 5 minutes fast, for example.
So, we have changed the date and time server on one of our imacs to our internal time server and that works fine. Now I would like to update all of the other imacs using a unix command in ARD. Can anyone tell me how to send this change? For this message, let's say our internal time server is 172.30.100.100

The customer is using Fusion Instance which is a V1 (Build 19) OVM installation shipped by Oracle with Demo Data (including seeded user IDs and roles) in it.
Now they have issue with Date format for the application on the screens is showing MM/DD/YYYY where as it should be (Singapore) Standard is DD/MM/YYYY.

Gantt chart- How to change the color of time bars of different versions

Hi All,
My Client wants to see all changes in planning schedule. I made different versions of these changes but he also want to see all these changes in gantt chart and in different colors. I tried to change the color in planning board assistant but in this screen (CJ27/ CJ2B). we cannot view all versions together. And if I use CN41, there I cannot change the colors of time bars.
Secondly, we can change colors of times bars of basic dates, forecast dates and actual dates but there is no provision to change the colors of schedule bars of different project versions. Kindly reply-
1. How to see all project versions in CJ27 or How to customise bar chart in cn41 or if we change in SPRO, then how to change graphic profile in project info profile
2. How to change colors of different time bars of different versions.
3. How to mention these legends (meaning of each color in chart) at footer of gantt chart (in print outs)

actually I've created new project planning board profile where planning board assistant is customized but unable to use this profile in CN41. we can change PS info profile in CN41 and that;s why I thought that planning board profile may be assigned somewhere in PS info profile so that changes in planning board assistant will be applied in CN41 through PS info profile. Graphic profile is too complex to understand and not sure if it will help to get colored time bars of projct versions in gantt chart. Still not clear.
Secondly not able to see all versions (snap shots) in gantt chart with different colors of time bars.
I mean planning board screen can be customized but we cannt see different versions here which are possible in CN41, but we cannt customize the gantt chart (time bars) in CN41. Pls help.

Welcome to the discussions.
I think you are asking about the durations for subtitles. There is a maximum duration for titles, and that duration varies depending on which title you select. For just 'subtitle' it appears that the maximum duration is about 4secs20frames, 4:20. If you choose 'Stripe subtitle' the duration is about 8 seconds, 8:00.
If you want the durations to be longer, consider getting some of GeeThree's Slick volumes, some of whose titles can be placed for 30 seconds.

I do not think the FINDER icon can be changed. I have seen software that allows you to change the appearance of external HHDs, but I do not know if that is possible with Time Machine. If I were a betting man I would say no.

... when having installed a shut down timetable via system preferences -> energy saving -> timetable? Mine is set to 600sec (10min). This is by far to much. How to reduce?

No. Just with the OS X standard shutdown procedure. When you shut down via apple menue -> shut down you get an info window where you can choose to proceed or to stop. Meanwhile a countdown to shutdown starts. Default seems to be 120sec. When you set your system to shut down automatically via system preferences -> energy saving ->schedule (or timetable? - I'm translating it from german without having the english version of OS X) and the set shutdown starts, there even appears an info window but counting down from 600sec!!! And I need to change it to - let's say - 10sec. That's what I'm looking for.

Does anyone know How I can set the backup schedule for a certain time????

Many people are wanting to have Time Machine backup once per day. This can be done very easily.
1. In Time Machine preference panel place the OFF-ON slider to OFF.
2. Download CronniX from http://h775982.serverkompetenz.net:9080/abstracture_public/projects-en/cronnix/
3. In CronniX use the command
/System/Library/CoreServices/backupd.bundle/Contents/Resources/backupd-helper
4. Create, Apply and save a new crontab under your user account and setup CronniX to execute the above command once per day at the time you wish.
5. It should look like this (example shown is for executing every day at 10 PM)
0 22 * * * /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd.bundle/Contents/Resources/backupd-helper

How to change the frequency of time machine back ups

Time machine backs up every hour. And it takes several minutes. I don't need to back up that often. Once a day is fine. But I don't see any way to set the frequency of back ups.

There are a number of applications that can be installed to set different time schedules for TM. I have not provided links as I know nothing about them.

Changing the default End Time to Plus 1 hour

Does anyone know how to change the default end time to 1 hour ahead of the Start time???? I tried: Today() + 1:00:00, which defaulted the end time to the next day.

we have 10gAsR1 installed as a Portal instance. We have 6-server
load balancer => webcache as loadbalancer (listening port 80)
Wb ch1 and wb ch2 => webcache (listening port 7777)
portal1 and portal2 => Portal listening 7778
infra =>Infrastruture with repository Portal/Oracle SSO (listening 7777)
This set up is working fine for our intranet setup, now we need to open this for couple of external clients. Well initially we need to open on the load balancer server on port 80 for external team to access, it works fine when we make it publc access.
Now when we need to make it SSO (siteminder) enables, when users click on login link it first goes oracle sso then it internally redirects the page to site minder sso.
Well, I have noted that the sso server details are mentioned in global setting sso/oid details. Since we need to open this for external client we have to add a DNS entry for this so that we can allow its access over firewall..
Now I have made DNS name change at my infrserver level, now I need to update the change at the load balancer server (where wheb chache is running).
Any one know how to chang the URL at load balancer.
I am struck at this point please suggest how should i proceed..
