Pre-blend Material

Hi,
This issue is related with pre-blend material .We are currently using Sales BOM concept.
We have a finished product_" Au201D, which has the components X, Y and Z materials_.
The material  "X" has 2 components "S and T ".
So In Create Material BOM (CS01), I used BOM usage  5 . For material "A u201C, I assigned X,Y, and Z .
When you mix X,Y and Z materials , you will get the finished product "A ".
Again for " X " material, i assigned S and T in CS01.
When you mix S and T materials, you will get finished product "X ".
My requirement is that the components costs should be rolled -up to the higher material.
If VPRS is
S = 10
T = 20 then X = 30
Again
X = 30
Y = 20
Z = 10 then A = 60.
This 60 should be posted to Cost of goods account after Post goods issue and again in Invoice (COPA).
This is a proposed solution. For material X we may use Phantom BOM material or non-stock item.
Now we are using this function in the following way:
Material A has the components Y, Z, S and T in CS01. In Delivery the components only posts the Goods issue. The system picks the cost price from the respective components material masters.
Material A is assigned Higher-level material Item category (ZHBM) that is relevant for Price, cost. In schedule line category, no movement type is maintained. So material A Will not issue the goods.
Materials Y, Z,S and T  are  assigned  lower  level material Item category ( ZLBM ) which is not  relevant for Price , cost. In schedule line category, movement type 601is maintained.
In Delivery document in VL01N, the components only posts the Goods issue. The system picks the cost price from the respective components material masters.
In Invoice, the system calculates the VPRS cost for material "A ". This VPRS is the sum up of the components Y, Z, S, T.
It works fine.
I need a solution for Pre blend material concept,
If you need any clarifications, please let me know

Dear Chandrasekhar Mantravadi ,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
My Client is a Mining Industry.
They are using material A, which is a Fini material. Material A has the components Y, Z, S, T in CS01.
Now it is working fine. The Components Cost is rolled up to the higher material "A "
But when you mix Materials S and T, you will get a new product "X ". This material is called Pre-blend material.
Why did we use Pre-blend material?
When Printing the BOL, we need to print the material X also in BOL. But you donu2019t see the material S & T physically. Because of
the pre-blend scenario, the delivery documents are no longer accurate or legal for transport. In order to work around this, the
sites are utilizing manual Bills of Lading (BOL).To avoid manual BOL we will go for this solution .
As i mentioned earlier material X has the components S & T. The cost of S & T should be rolled up to X.
Then material A has the components X, Y and Z. The cost of X, Y and Z should be rolled up to A.
I have also suggested the Phantom BOM concept. For material X, i created the Material master record as a Phantom material (In MRP 2 view --> Special procurement 50).
Then i maintained the BOM assignment for X in CS01. But the cost is not rolled up.
If you need more clarifications, please let me know.

  • Pre defined Material name

    Hi ,
I am practicing MM, and when I tried to create a new material with MM01, I find the Basic Data screen Material number and the Description pre defined as Eric Material.
I can understand that number is assigned internally. But, the name is also comming,
I first created with the same name and tried to change with mm02 the name of the material..but still it is showing 'Eric Material'..
Please tell me how to resolve this error.
    Thanks in advance

Deactivate the User Exit and Try Once. Please Contact Abaper.
    Activating and Deactivating a Project
After you have attached all add-on functionality to the exits in your project, you need to activate the project.  Activating a project turns on all your add-ons.  You also need to activate your project after you have transported it from a development system into a productive system.
When you activate your project, the system turns on all the add-ons contained within the project.  You cannot activate certain add-ons separately.  The activate an add-on project, proceed as follows:
    1.         Enter the Project Management transaction.
    2.         Choose Activate project.
The system confirms that the project was activated.
You can now call up a standard SAP transaction that contains an exit you used in your add-on project.  Your add-on functionally should appear.
If you need to make changes to any of your add-ons, you must first deactivate the project that contains that add-on.  Deactivating a project turns off all of that project's add-ons.  To deactivate an add-on project, proceed as follows:
    1.         Enter the Project Management transaction.
    2.         Choose Deactivate project.
The system confirms that the project was deactivated.
Once the project is turned off, you can make changes to the project's add-ons or build new functionality to hook on to the other exits in the project.
    Transporting Add-on Projects
To take advantage of the exits in the R/3 System, you must create an add-on project.  This project contains at least one SAP enhancement package and all the user exits assigned to this package.  Your add-on project also holds the add-on functionality you create to hang onto the exit hooks.
When you first create an add-on project, you must assign the project to a change task.  You also need to allocate a change task number for every add-on component you develop, such as include programs, subscreens, and menu texts.  You can use the same change task number for all your project components.  If your project is spread out over more than one change task, you should assign these tasks to the same transport request.
Once you have completed your project, release your change tasks.  As a final step, release the transport request that contains all the change tasks for your project.  The system will export your add-on project and coordinate its import into a consolidation or productive system.  You must then ensure that your add-on project is active.

  • Best way to pre-populate material variable with values for users

Hi,  I have a requirement to prepopulate a material variable with about 5 materials and that is the materials that will default when the query is called.  The users would also need the ability to change those values.
My thought is to create a User-exit variable that derives the values from a user maintained table (infoobject).
Does anyone else have any suggestions or ideas on the best way to handle this?

I don't know if there is a best solution...
    Infoobject
With this option you have to create a new infoobject (ZMATERIAL) without attribute (you need only a list material codes) and then to set the authorization profile for the user in order to manage the content.
The creation of an infoobject corresponds to a table creation, but you don't need any other specific options that belong to the infooject (as technical object)...
    Table
With this option you have to create a Z table with only one field and then to allow the maintenance of the table by SM30....
In the ending, if you want to be a purist use the table, otherwise use an infoobject (but there are no significant differences !

  • When I sync my ipod to add new material, sometimes itunes will automatically rearrange the song order of my pre-existing albums by number of plays. Why does it do this? And is there a way to stop it?

When I add an album to itunes and subsequently to my ipod, everything is arranged by track number of the album. Sometimes when I sync in order to add new material to my ipod, itunes for some reason automatically rearranges some of my pre-existing material by songs with the greatest number of plays to least (though sometimes it seems to be completely random). When I check itunes on my computer, everything still appears to be in order but the way it appears on the device often is in the previously mentioned disorder. Why does it do this? Is there any setting that I can adjust to make it stop because the only way I've found so far is to delete the rearranged material and re-import the cd and then re-sync. It might sound picky, but I prefer that my music be in order by track number as the artists themselves intended for various reasons the foremost being that I often listen to whole albums from start to finish and this glitch makes such problematic. I have found some settings in preferences that focus on how material is arranged but this seemed to be focused on the actual folders where the music is located on my hard drive and not the way it appears on the ipod. If anyone knows the reason it does this or has suggestions on fixing it, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks.

Did the original songs that do not appear on the car player play in the Music app on the iPod? Sometimes glitches happen and they do not. Also, If y ohave a 5G iPod/iOS 7, purchase songs  will show with an cloud icon by them if they are not downloaded if Shall All is turned on in Settings>iTunes and App Store

  • Material staging in Process industries

    Hai gurus,
I have one problem at client end.
    1) The raw material is received from main stores to production stores, from there the material is issued to shop floor for
consumption, In shop floor some material is kept as balance stock after consumption for the next day. How to handle this
         issue in SAP
    2) In the same way the material related to quality ( Blending materials - Rectified spirit/colour/flavour and ageing whisky) is    received at production stores and from there it is moved to quality stores by internal transfer from there it is moved to blending section, from there the blended material issued to stores . How to handle this issue in SAP.
waiting for the the positive reply.
    regards.
    sekar chand

    Hai Dharma,
Thanks for your reply, Based on your reply I can receive the material from main warehouse to Production main stores, but from there it is issued to production shop floor, where the( bottles) one of the rawmaterial is cleaned , washed and rinsed, so during
this proces there is lot of breakage is there. so While confirming the process order, the shop floor people will list the actual
consumption ,breakage etc, but there is also some stock of bottles left at the end of the shift for the next day prodiction at
    the shop floor.
So how to handle this situation.

  • Create Material in CRM and also in ECC

    Hello,
We have a non-SAP system (that is not being retired) where pre-production material numbers are generated for opportunity work.
    (They are not initially ECC)
We are migrating our current opportunity system into CRM, and approach is the non-SAP system will start to send the pre-production materials into CRM (as products).  To support opportunity creation.
However, when the materials do go into production, we then will set up the material numbers in ECC to support quotes/orders.
The material numer will be the same as when it was just pre-production status.
However, we are concerned with middleware replication...
What happens if we directly create a product in CRM, and then xx months later create the same product in ECC.
what happens when that material number tries to replicate to CRM and the number already exists?
    Thanks
    Chris

    Hi Chris,
If you create the materials directly in CRM and then the materials with the same id in ECC, the products won't be in sync in the two systems and the transfers will start giving errors stating that the Product ID already exists and nothing will happen. Neither a new product will be created in CRM from ECC nor will it update the already existing once in CRM.
The reason being that the product created in CRM will be of the logical system identifier : CRM but when they will flow from ECC, they will be of the logical system identifier : ECC, hence the two won't link up.

  • Lack of Usability and Ergonomy

We are a small research unit at the University of Oxford, and we normally keep all our various machines up-to-date. So we  tried to move our Macs to Lion as it became available. After an unprecedented number of complaints and a massive loss of data due to a new feature, we are for the first time reverting back to an older operating system and also make every attempt possible to downgrade the new machines that we recently purchased. As these drastic counter-measures imply a massive loss of time and money, we did not do so light-heartedly. Hence prior to switching to 10.7 inadvertedly, anybody working in a productive environment relying on a usable and suffently ergonomic IT infrastructure should therefore consider the below list of the manifold reasons that triggered our decision:
It became nearly impossible to work with large documents (text, tables, figures, illustrations, large plans etc ...): Many applications require a fine-pitch control in the horizontal and vertical position of the documents displayed. This is normally done by means of the scroll arrows in a unified and ergonomic way. This is no more possible! Using the arrow keys, trackpads or other methods (which differ from one application to the other) is no viable alternative, as this is often very inergonomic (requiring two hands, taking the hand off the mouse, doing  acrobatic finger exercises or jumping by whole pages). Even reading a long text document by simply placing the mouse on the "down arrow" and then clicking down line by line is no more possible.
The automatic document handling might lead to data loss and/or poor performance: We require full control of what documents are being saved, the locations of where they go to, when this happens and also what names the documents have. For instance, when making changes to a document, an essential requirement is that the machine must be able of saving it under a different name at the request of the user. This has been eliminated (no more choice to  "save as" a different file). Moreover, the new autosave feature might overwrite the old version of a document albeit this is not desired, and also slow down the machine when sweeping in at the wrong moment. In connection with the new autosave feature, our usual practice of editing and re-arranging documents to then store them as new files has already caused various unwanted data losses.
Presentations cannot be shown as they play on the wrong screen: The full screen mode now switches automatically to the internal screen, and also seems to render secondary screens unusable. So while keynote still seems ok for presentations on external screens, this has become tricky with most other applications. For instance, any pre-recorded material from DVD's now plays internally.
Working with many documents and applications became very complicated: The way Expose and Spaces worked prior to Lion allowed one to move the mouse in a corner to see miniatures of *all* open Windows, and to immediately click the desired one to come upfront. Now windows belonging to the same application appear stacked, and finding the right window is sometimes very painful (in particular if one does not know which application deals with the desired document).
The lack of an install DVD is too risky: We have to replace 2-3 harddisks per year, and often enough these are total failures. In such a case, having no way of restoring the system other than via the (unreliable) internet is not acceptable. For security reasons, some of your machines are not even connected to the web, and we need a way of restoring them without any connection to the outside world.
The servicability has suffered: Having different versions of operating systems is always a pain when one has to keep a large number of machines up-to-date. We have a large number of first-generation Intel machines that are still perfect for office use, and we'll keep them for some more years. Those machines cannot be upgraded to Lion - i.e. we would have to deal with two different system installations.
In view of the above, we are back to 10.6.8.  We hope that Apple is going to revise some of the decisions and give us back the functionallity and ease-of-use that we had in the past.

    Pedido
Remessa ( onde temos a price)

No nosso caso, utilizamos o tipo de condição ICM3 (ICMS from SD).
    Espero ter colaborado.
    Atenciosamente,
    Daniel

  • Page navigation in Acrobat does not match page numbers in the document

I have a document in both Framemaker format (server.book) and PDF (server.pdf).  When I view the pdf file in Adobe Acrobat, the page numbers appear correctly on the document itself, but up in the Page Navigation window within Acrobat the pages number doesn't match.
In the beginning of the book I have Title page, a Table of Contents, and a Preface that all use lower-case roman numerals.  However, when viewing this document via Acrobat, the Title pages show up as i, and ii, but then the Table of Contents and Preface show up as pages 1 - 8 instead of iii - x in the page navigation window.
I can't figure where this discrepancy is originating.
    Please help.

Acrobat has no way to know which bit of character string on each page is the page number.
The visible page number has never formed any part of Reader nav. as you point out, it couldn't.
Acrobat knows the Numbering Properties of the pages as created in Frame. It just doesn't display or honor them consistently, depending on Reader version.
I also use i, ii, iii, iv for pre-narrative material. The romans are displayed in the page number box of Acroread (this is AR7 on Unix). I can enter "ii" in the box, and go to that page. But the Print dialog is Ordinal only. Printing page ranges in AR7 is always off by 2 or 4 relative to the actual page numbers.
Acrobat Pro 9 (9.4.5, Win7-64) seems to be more consistent, and does show and accept real page numbers for Print.

  • Latest pages change does not insert page numbers

Went to add the page number in a document and it does not insert the number or give a choice as to the format of that number.  anyone know a fix?

I've been reading various boards and hardware sites and have started piecing together a dual purpose computer system.  It will be used for both video editing (of pre-shot hacked, high bitrate I-Frame Panasonic GH2 DSLR and camcorder footage using the AVCHD codec @ 1080p 24 and 30 fps) and webcasting/streaming purposes.  I would build two computers for each task, but it's just not in the budget right now.  I'm already stretching things as is.
I'm still not sure if I will be using Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas Pro 12 yet, though it seems like they organize their folders and file structures about the same.  Adobe's cloud service has me a bit scared off right now.  This new scheme feels like they have their hand purpetually in your wallet, which does not sit well with me.  I may still go with Vegas 12 just to avoid that hassle right now.  Help guide me here, experts!  Telestream's Wirecast is being used for multi-cam switching and graphics for live and pre-recorded material being compressed and streamed.
    Back on topic:
Here's the build as of right now...
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit Professional (Windows 8 absolutely sucks!)
CPU: Intel i7-4930k 6-Core Ivy Bridge (own)
    Motherboard: Asus P9X79 Pro (own)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix 1.35v Sport DDR3L @ 32 GB (own)
GPU:  EVGA GTX 770 FTW w/ 4 GB (will buy another HD monitor at a later date, hence the 4GB memory)
Case:  Fractal Design XL R2 Full Tower
    CPU Cooling:  Noctua NH-D14 w/ SE2011 Bracket
    PSU: Corsair RM1000 Quiet Series / 80 Plus Gold / 1000 Watts
    Monitor: Dell U2412M Ultrasharp 24 inch / 1920x1200
    Optical Drive: LG Blu-ray Writer
    Keyboard: Microsoft 4000 Ergonomic
HDMI capture cards: Blackmagic Designs Decklink Mini (x2)
    Storage:
I bought two Samsung 840 Pro SSD drives:  one 128 GB and one 256 GB
    Thinking about possibly 2 (maybe 3-4 if I really stretch) Seagate ST3000DM001 3TB HDD's.
I could sure use your help with any advise on arranging the storage to get the best bang vs. buck in speed and storage utilization (Wirecast can be setup to record live webcast sessions at 720p or 1080p in compressed files... probably no more than 120 minute webcasts... so that comes into play as well).  Just don't have the funds for an uber-expensive RAID controller card right now.
Any opinions overall on the parts for the current build?  I still have time to send back and exchange anything already purchased.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

What do you not understand from:
With all the reading and writing going on, on the boot disk, it is understandable you need a (number of) dedicated disk(s) for video editing, especially with the bandwidths required when the clip duration is short and the number of tracks exceeds one and uses a codec more complex than DV. The kind of files used during editing are, in order of their need for speed:
Media cache & Media cache database files, created on importing media into a project. They contain indexed, conformed audio and peak files for waveform display.
Typically small files, but lots of them, so in the end they still occupy lots of disk space.
Preview (rendered) files, created when the time-line is rendered for preview purposes, the red bar turned to green. Read all the time when previewing the time-line.
Project files, including project auto-save files, that are constantly being read and saved as auto-save files and written when saving your edits.
Media files, the original video material ingested from tape or card based cameras. Typically long files, only used for reading, since PR is a non-destructive editor.
Export files, created when the time-line is exported to its final delivery format. These files are typically only written once and often vary in size from several hundred KB to tens of GB.
When you are doubting which category of files to put on which kind of disk, especially when using both SSD's and HDD's, keep in mind that the speed advantage of SSD's over HDD's is most noteworthy with the Media cache & Media cache database. These files are frequently accessed, are small and there are many, so reducing latency and seek times and increasing transfer rates pays off by putting these on a SSD, rather than on a HDD, even if it is a raid0. Export files can go to the slowest volume on your system, since you only export once. To help you decide, I have added priority rank-numbers for speed, with 1 for the fastest volume and 5 for the least speed-demanding category.
    and
Well, in the benchmark tests we have not seen any noticeable difference between SSD and HDD in terms of performance, but logic dictates that there should be a small difference in performance when the volume used for media cache is a SSD, because of the much faster access time and lower latency compared to a conventional disk. If it is noticeable, it is specifically on this volume with the media cache and media cache database, due to the large amount of small files that need to be accessed and written. This argument does not apply to the media volume with a limited number of files, that are very big in size.
