Pre-filling form on fragment basis

I made a process for pre-filling a form. The steps included: getting data from database in an XML, applying XSLT and rendering a PDF form.
XSLT is used to avoid the dependence of the process on a form.
Now, the scenario is changed, the data to be pre-filled i.e. the XML will be generated from a webservice on fragments basis which implies if a form has 20 fragments, 20 XML's will be generated. (Hope, I made myself clear!!!!!!)
I thought of using XSL again for making one XML for pre-filling data. But XSLT takes one XML as an input.
Can anyone suggest me, should I make one XSL for the form or should I make XSL's as per fragments. Next, how could I merge all these XMLs to generate one XML for pre-filling.?
Please, also suggest me, if there is any other workaround for this scenario?

I'm not sure about your exact scenario, but you could try XQuery intead of XPath.

XQuery is quite a lot more powerful than XSLT (in my opinion).
In addition, our implementation allows you to merge multiple XML documents together.

You didn't say but we'll assume you are using Safari. Safari>Preferences>Autofill. Make all your adjustments there.

How can I pass a variable to a form to pre-fill form fields on load?

I am developing a Windows Form Applicaiton in C# to register new users and walk them through a signup process.The application does a lot of other things as well. This part of it collects their personal information and saves the data to the database. Part of the process requires the user to complete a pdf form (W-4 tax form). I would like to pre-populate as many form fields as possible for them when the pdf launches, and not have them enter anything to get their data to prefill the form fields.
My issue is I can't figure out how to get the pdf to know who is loading the form so I can do the SQL select and populate the form fields. I need to do a select * from Table where UniqueID="xxxxx" but how can I get the form to know on load what "xxxxx" is so it grabs the users personal info from the database?
I have searched high and low and found nothing on how to do this without doing some hoakey hack outside of the application or pdf doc.
I am creating/editing the form in LiveCycle Designer 8 and am loading the form for use by the user in acrobat 9.
Any help,ideas, or nudging in the right direction would be much appreciated!

Safari pre-fills form fields like email addresses, how do I get it to stop?

On certain Safari form fields my computer fills in the rest of a word I recently typed if I type the first letter, but I want to either get it to stop doing that or also learn how to clear that history every once and a while - how do I do that?

Open Safari's Preferences and click on the AutoFill icon. Make sure all three options are unchecked. If they were checked, unchecking them should fix your problem. Let us know what happens.
To clear a form while keeping AutoFill activated, click on the Edit button beside the appropriate AutoFill option, find the entry for that web site, and delete it. Editing the Address Book option will open your Address Book to your card for editing.

Pre filling form then emailing for further completion

I am new to this, so please bear with me. I am creating a form to email to our consituents that has information that may or may not be correct.
I want to fill the form with the info/data we have and then have the recipient either add or change the information depending on if it is correct and email it back to me. There are approx 300 constituents I need to send these forms to. The form will have text boxes, yes/no boxes, etc.
I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro 8. The data lives in an excel spreadsheet.
I know I will have more questions, but initally how do I get the data into the form?

If this is going to be a yearly correction of information in your database, then during the second year you would be violating the Adobe license which says you may not use an Reader enabled pdf form (enabled in Acrobat as opposed to LiveCycle Reader Extension enabled) to 500 uses. Personally, I think you would be better off creating a webform from the information in the excel file and directing the users to the website. This will have two advantages---the information you are working with will be transferred to a database where it belongs and the corrections will be in a database for your future use. I know of no way to do what you what with an Acrobat based form. However, it may be possible using LiveCycle Designer. You might ask the the Designer forum.

Query form when field pre-filled - How?

Greetings:
I am going to use a single form for creating, modifying, and deleting records as such functionality is available from a form created (table based) using Portal's form wizard.
I am attempting to pre-fill one of the fields on the form (it tells me where the form was called from) for use when inserting a record. However, if I perform a query instead, I get no results as the pre-filled field is used in building the query. What I want to do then, is save-off the pre-filled value to a local variable upon the form being created; then, perform a RESET on the form to allow for querying. I'm not having success saving-off this pre-filled value to a variable.
Question 1: What function call and where should I place it, to save-off this pre-filled form value (Additional PL/SQL tab section)?
Question 2: How to perform a Reset action on the form after saving-off the pre-filled value?

The pre filled fields from downloaded pdf forms are blank; e.g.; prefilled pdf forms from insurance companies.

I download pre filled pdf claim forms from the web site of my insurance company. The fields are not pre filled with my personnal data ( name, address, etc) like it is supposed to. Furthermore, I cannot even type my own data in the blank fields. All of this works all right with another browser.

The new built-in PDF viewer does not have the capability to do fill-in forms. Development is still underway on enhancements to the PDF viewer.
In the meantime, you will need a PDF application that can do fill-in forms (Adobe Reader and Foxit Reader are 2 free PDF applications that can fill-in PDF forms).
*You have Adobe Reader 9.3.4 installed, but it is a very old version and needs to be updated due to security issues.

Pre-filling LiveCycle Form

I have Acrobat 8 Professional (on Win XP SP2). I created a form with LiveCycle Designer. I need to be able to pre-enter some values before I email the form to an individual to be completed. I want to get the values from a record in a Filemaker database, and write them to an XML or CSV file (this I can easily do). But how do I pre-enter values in some of the fields? Do I need a sub-form for these values?
I also want to enter a text value that will appear on the form, but can't be changed by the user: it's a KEY value that the form will need to return so I can then input the returned values into the correct record.

JSF 2.0: InputText element of type Integer have become pre-filled with '0'

Hello to all!
I have invested a lot of time, but unfortunately without success. I hope intensely that somebody of you can help me!
I have an inputText element of type Integer, which pre-filled my input field with a '0' when I'm loading/starting my form.
When I'm loading my form for the first time I would like to have an empty field and not a field, which is pre-filled with a '0'.
Is this possible?

Urgent !!!! Data pre-filling in dropdown

I have created an offline scenario where a drop down list in interactice form is pre-filled using CAF service.when i run the service independenly it works fine returns me 6 rows.
But when the data is mapped to the dropdown list of interactive form only one row is displayed.Can anyone plz help me out its Urgent.

Track Multiple Pre-Populated Forms?

I'll do my best to describe the situation, hopefully it is understandable. I have created a form using LiveCycle. This form is save-able in Acrobat. This form has been filled out and saved for many different people; so I have the same form for each person, but each form has unique data already entered in and saved in the form fields. My goal is to send out these different pre-populated forms using tracker, have people edit them as they need to, and then submit the edited forms back to me (via Outlook email). My ultimate goal is to have the info that tracker makes available (the automatic list of who received the forms, who has returned them, etc.) available at a glance, so that I can track these forms easily. Is this end result possible using pre-populated forms, or will I have to send each pre-populated form to the form recepient individually?

I am sorry to report that Formscentral doesn't integrate with any external database and doesn't support the pre-population of fields. You might try looking at Adobe's Livecycle product for your solution.

Possible to use JavaScript to Import Data from XML file to pre-fill fields?

I have a dynamic fill-in PDF that I want to "pre-fill" internally in my company before sending out to users who will change any pre-filled fields necessary and answer questions we did not already answer.
We do not have LiveCycle Reader Extensions, but we can use Acrobat to import data from an XML document to pre-fill the named fields. Is it possibly to do this task using folder-level Javascript or some other method? I can look into this, and post my findings, but I'd like to know if it's possible or if I need to use a different programming language.

I am afraid that solution was for a specific client and I can't share it. If I get a chance I will mock up an example, but this wont be for a while. From memory it was just a straight importData method. This would normally fail silently in a non-certified form, but when the form is digitally signed/certified, it works without a hitch.

Weu2019ve created a pre-hire Form/process and we want to achieve the following . Any help will be appreciated !
- We have to By pass employee and need to select Pre-Hire process directly ( how to by pass employee )
- We need to read vacant position in the system OM side and filled up the value ( We are on EHP3 and yes we donu2019t have SAP_PD) .
- After we select the vacant position , it should automatically populate "Display onlyu201D fields such as Pers.Area/subarea,Job key,compnay code,org unit and few more fields from 1nnn infotypes with their text . ( e.g. 1000,1001,1002,.....10nn).
- We are entering Fname and Lname and we want to update IT105 .
I would assume for pre-hire weu2019ll be having some dummy number with R/3 existance , Otherwise how we are going to update IT0105 .
I understand I have to create once service to read data from OM side . I am working on it .

I tried it also but no luck . I noticed that when I am debugging there is no Pernr . Is it wise to assume that we need an employee number in order to see vacant positions for a manager? I am thinking to give employee number in debugging mode and see what will I get this time.
if you look at OSS :Note 1305199 - Correction in generic service s_mgrs_positions. it says "A process is configured using HCM Forms and Processes, which uses generic service S_MGRS_POSITIONS for displaying field PLANS (Position). The field PLANS is having value help and the result for which is not coming correct. Example: Consider a process Org Change for employee Y is started by a manager. Lets assume there are four positions A, B, C and D under manager, out for which position C and D are vacant. When the manager wants to assign new position to employee Y using value help, then all the four positions are shown which is not correct but only vacant positions i.e. position C and D should appear in value help result."
It talks with the reference of an employee .. Does that mean in order to read positions , we need an emplyee ?
