PreLoader for V2 Components

I am using a large number of V2 components in an application.
I have created MovieClips that contain the V2 components and
written classes that I attach to these MovieClips. The classes
contain a fair amount of code to retrieve data from the web,
perform calculations on it, format it, and then place it in the V2
components for presentation.
When I test the application on my machine (i.e. no
downloading required over the internet) nothing appears until all
of the calculations in the classes are done, which takes about 15
to 20 seconds.
My question: Is there a way to have the calculations run in
the "background" while I provide an animation to amuse the visitor
until all of the calculations are done. Then I would present V2
rich MovieClips populated with all of the data.
I tried loading all of the V2 Rich MovieClips with _visible
set to false. Then, once all calculations were done I made the
clips visible. Although this works, as far as displaying the
Movieclips quickly with all of the calculated data, I still can't
provide a simple animation while the calculations are going on. The
animation stops while the calculations and formatting in the
attached MovieClip classes are being performed.
Can anyone point me to a tutorial that might address my
problem. Or am I just up against the wall on this one? It seems
every time I try to use V2 components I run into this problem even
without the linked classes. I've tried loading the class files in
frames other than the first frame, but it doesn't seem to make a
difference.

I don't think you can put a pre-loader on streaming video.
Although I'm not an expert. I would suggest a couple things though.
1. That quicktime is way to large. If you expect anyone to
wait for it, you're probably expecting too much. I've been waiting
for 5min now and nothing.
Solution: Have a smaller version of the file, and a link to
the high rez. That way, they get something, and can "download" the
high rez if desired.
2. You said you wanted to keep the QT higher resolution.
Well, Flash was built for internet bandwidth. You could convert to
FLV while maintaining high resolution. Do some testing and go with
what looks the best.
You could also mess with the frame rate. Cut the frames in
half, while maintaining resolution, and change audio to mono. That
should cut your file size down quite a bit.
3. If the above solutions don't work for you, try a having it
load in the background. You could have the site load first, and set
the parameters of the FLV playback to "Autoplay = False"

  • Preloader in Flex Components

    Hi,
    Is it possible to have preloader in flex components. For
    example if we have a datagrid which fetches values from xml on load
    thn how can i put the preloader in that datagrid. Please suggest.
    Regards,
    Naveen

    Hi savz,
    You can do the following...Try to embed the custom swf cursor in a variable and write a function in the preInitialize event of the main mxml application i.e; on the root tag <mx:Application preInitialize="onPreinitialize()"> </mx:Application>
    [Embed(source='assets/swf/Preloader.swf')]
    [Bindable]private var customCursor:Class;
    private function onPreinitialize():void
          StyleManager.getStyleDeclaration("CursorManager").setStyle("busyCursor",customCursor);
    That's it you can go with it...As and when the busyCursor is true your customCursir is shown overriding the default busy curso symbol.
    Please kindly mark the answer if it helped you..:)

  • Prevent creation of reservation for selected components on Production order

    Hello all,
    I am aware that the production order reservation creation is dependant on the order type, but is it possible to avoid the reservation creation for few components on the order ? Any techincal way? We want to issue our components to a different batch than the one reserved during the production order creation.
    Any help will be greatly apprciated.
    Thanks,
    Swetha

    Your material is get reserved for Production order as per the Order start date & Order release. What you can do is make the start date of the Production order & release it. If any other production order are already there & you can re set the ATP of that production order.
    Say there is one production order starting 2 days after & your all raw material is blocked for this production order. And the other production is having date after this now you want to give ATP from 1st order to 2nd order. For this 1st make the start date of 2nd prod order before 1st. Then Go to COMAC select both Prod Ord & GO ATP with check reset ATP. You see that ATP is passed from 1st Prd order tp 2nd.

  • Planning of Dependent Requirements for BOM Components in Make to Order scen

    Hi Friends - I want to execute a full cycle Make to Stock Scenario with Materials planning using MRP.
    The scenario will include BOM Components with Routing.
    The process flow I want to execute -
    1. Create a Sales Order for a Finished Product (Product should have a BOM for Production)
    2. Do the product Materials Planning for the Sales Order through MD50
    3. Get all the dependent material requirements (both for products as Planned Order and also for BOM Components - all the BOM components should also be planned)
    4. Convert Planned Order for Product to Production Order
    5. Convert Planned Orders for BOM components to Purchase Requisition
    6. Confirm Production Order
    To execute this I have done the following
    1. I have created a Material Master data for Finished Product (FERT).
    2. I have assigned Item Category Group - NORM, and General Item Category group as NORM
    3. I have assigned MRP Type PD in MRP 1 View and Strategy Group 20 (Make to Order Production) in MRP 3 View.
    4. Now created a Universal (Type 3) BOM for the product with one material component.
    5. Now also created a Routing for the Material with two operations having PP01 a control key.
    6. Now created a standard sales order for the product.
    7. Executed the MD50 for the Sales Order Item.
    Now where do I find the BOM components for this material in the Sales Order?
    After executing the planning Run MD50 I am only getting the requirements for Product only. I can't see any dependent requirements for the BOM components.
    How do I make sure that the BOM components are also planned while the product is planned?
    I have checked the component Stock Requirement List - there are no requirements generated from the Sales Order Product BOM.
    Pls help me on this. How to do this so that the raw material components are also planned?
    Thanks
    Purnendu

    Hi Dhaval, Sandeep, Ashok - Thanks a lot for your replies.
    I have checked the Planned Order Created through Planning Run.
    If I click on the Components Tab I am getting following message
    No material components were determined
    Message no. 61027
    Diagnosis
    Until now, no BOM explosion has been carried out or no BOM has been created for this material yet.
    Procedure
    Either explode the bill of material for this material, or
    create the components manually by processing the planned order in change mode.
    If I try to explode the BOM through Header Menu - Edit> Explode BOM
    I am getting the same message.
    If I click on the Bill of Material Tab - I am getting the same above messge.
    Ashok - I have tried both the Selection Method -
    Nil - Selection by Order Quant.
    1 - Selection by Explosion Date
    But with no effect.
    Waiting for your advice.
    Thanks and warm regards

  • Batches not getting  for order components at time of order creation

    Hi Folks,
    My requirement is that when I create a production order and save automatic batch determination should take place for all components. For this I have done all the settings for eg
    1) Assigment of batch search proceduree to order type
    2) Define batch search strategy,procedure , condition , access sequence
    3) Create batch strategy record for order type/ plant/component by COB1
    4) Create sort rule and assign to batch strategy record
    5) Batch classification is there and value of the sort chracteristic is populated in all batches
    6) There is enough available stock in the batch at that storage location
    But batch field is not getting populated .. Even if I press the batch determintion button manually
    on the component overview screen batch selection screen is appearing but no batches are getting determined for selection .I have checked the selection criteria and it is correct and I was expecting batch 'ZSWETA' to b determined as it is satisfying the selection criteria. I am really wondering why this is happening as I have done all the required config settings but batch determination is not happening..
    Can you please help me out of this...
    Regards
    Suchandra

    Hi,
    kindly check the following things-:
    Material master -: Purchasing View tick in check box of Batch Management
                               MRP 2 -:Batch Entry(Select 3-Auto Batch entry on Release)
                              Work Scheduling -: Batch Entry & Batch Management.
    hope it will help you to get the auto Batch Number.

    I see an pdf and flv file in the image list, remove them.
    Rewrite the code of your loading bar into one solid procedure which can be called from image loaded so you end up with three functions:
    loadImage
    imageLoaded
    displayProgressBar
    Maybe it's simpler not to display a progressbar but to display a text like XX loaded from XX images.
    I can't possibly write all the code for you but to adjust the loading bar use the image object instead of html code....
    preloadingImg = new Image();
    preloadingImg.src = "img/dot.jpg"   //whatever your preloader img is
    //To place your loading bar somewhere in the document:
    parentElement.addChildNode(preloadingImg);   //where parentElement is the container of the preloader image ( a DIV tag or whatever)
    //to adjust the width and height
    preloadingImg.height = someHeight + 'px';
    preloadingImg.width = someWidth + 'px'
    Another alternative is indeed use jQuery.

  • Preloader for pages in iWeb?

    (Please don't lock this thread)
    I know there is other threads with this topic. But They dont discuss the problem I have.
    I want to add a preloader for my pages on my website. I don't have any flash animations, I just want a preloader to appear before the page opens so that it can load before the page is shown.
    People in other threads talk about flash and how to make a preloader, thats not what I want to know. I need to know how to put the preloader on my website.
    I learned that I could put a favicon on my webpage by uploading a favicon-picture and then just add a html-code on my pages. Can I do that with the preloader? How does it work?
    /Vincente

    The chicken and the egg.
    Just put the favicon in the root of the webserver.
    Any modern browser will find it without code in a HTML page.
    Or paste this code in the <head> of the published webpage :
    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="../favicon.ico" />
    Or paste this code in a HTML Snippet :
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    var head = parent.document.getElementsByTagName("head")[0];
    var favicon = parent.document.createElement("link");
    favicon.rel = ("shortcut icon");
    favicon.href = ("../favicon.ico");
    head.appendChild(favicon);
    // -->
    </script>
    And what should the preloader load before the page opens?

  • Need Preloader for FLVplayback Component

    Hi,
    I'm playing external .flv videos using the 'FLVplayback'
    component. My client's complaining that they stall and stutter a
    bit when they start to stream, and wants to know if I can create a

    Can anyone help or point me in the right direction to create
    preloaders for this component? Since the .flv is not on the
    timeline, I don't know where to begin. I found some info on this in
    the Flash Help files, but it's a little over my head.

    I am trying to use a preloader for a larger .swf file that loads inside of a movie clip. I was wondering what code might work and where to put it. (preloader is a .swf).  I am using CS4, ActionScript 1.0.  Thanks.

    it does nothing in that context.  so use:

    Revision: 5170
    Author: [email protected]
    Date: 2009-03-04 17:50:32 -0800 (Wed, 04 Mar 2009)
    Log Message:
    Round 2 of bug fixes for the Spark skins for Halo components. Thanks to Alex for help with the data grid issues.
    Bugs fixed:
    SDK-19655 - Setting rowCount property on DataGrid causes extra blank row to be displayed
    SDK-19652 - Items in a DataGrid do not line up after scrolling.
    SDK-19605 - disabled Halo ColorPicker with Gumbo skin draws too dark
    SDK-19596 - When you have a single button on an Alert, the left edge looks flatter than the right
    SDK-19585 - Menus compiled with the halo theme in Flex 4 have a different backgroundColor than in Flex 3
    SDK-19665 - Halo List with Gumbo skin doesnt draw the alternating item color all the way to the right edge of the control if VScrollBar is present
    SDK-19651 - odd header rendering issue on Halo DataGrid with Gumbo skin
    QA Notes: The alert layout code was positioning the buttons/text on sub-pixel boundaries if the width or height of the alert was an odd number of pixels. We always snap to pixel boundaries now, but this may cause bitmap compare issues with Alert.

  • Sales for BOM components

    Dear All,
    We have all the components of a finished product in our stock. The product assembly is very simple.
    So, very well, we can send the components directly to customer, if he is willing to assemble it himself. This way we can reduce the time to deliver it to customer.
    Is there some process like this in SAP where this is possible?
    Regards,
    Prakash

    Hi
    If you want to deliver the componentS as well as charge PRICE for the components, then the Item category Group for the Main item should be  LUMF and the Item category Group of the Sub-Items(Componenets) should be  NORM.
    Once  the BOM material is exploded in the Sales order, then you will find the Item category of the Main Item as TAP and the Item category of the Sub-item as TAN.

    don't get copied..
    Is this how it is supposed to work or is there a setting somewhere so that all ref-des and components gets copied?
    Best Regards,
    Johan Nordebrink

    Hi Johan,
    The matter of your question is related to Ref Des List re-desinged for 6.0.
    Overall situation looks like a design gap because:
    - no explicit statement in the documentation describing the case of copying multiple Ref Des'es;
    - the case of 1-to-1 relation between Component and Ref Des is mentioned in the context of auto-population of these feilds on tabbing out if one of the field is populated;
    - the case of single Ref Des is widely referenced in the context of VTR that is a new feature in 6.0.
    So, if you need this to be reviewed by Product Mgmt (maybe they agreed to identify this as a bug), as usually you should either ask your SAP ME Consulting representative or submit a support ticket (depending on whom you pefer to talk with ).

    Sergiy

  • Subcontracting PO - Batch number to be made mandatory for the components

    Hi All,
    I have a situation in Subcontracting PO. The components which are sent to vendor need to be updated with Batch number. Is there any User Exit  / Configuration available, which can provide a error message to the user when ever he tries to save the PO without the batch number entered for the components.
    SAP allows to save the SC-PO, if the batch numbers are not entered for the components which are batch managed. I have checked the PO Fields in Customizing, which has control of the Batch number for the header material in the material data tab & not for the components which will be available after the BOM icon is clicked.
    Appreciate if you experts provide a solution / work around for the above scenario, as the client is a pharma client & they need to exactly match the batch which has been sent out for making Finished product with the Sub contracting vendor.
    Thanks for your help & awaiting your reply at the earliest.
