PREMIUM MAIL BILLING CHANGES - HOW??

My banks just changed my debit card and, 'for security' the 16 digit number, so I have to change it with BT
Any ideas how to contact them?
I tried the 'Help' link from my email page, which ends up here; http://help.yahoo.com/l/uk/bt/mail/ymail/
That has a 'Contact Us' link at the bottom; http://help.yahoo.com/l/uk/bt/direct/contacts/index.html
There's three numbers on that page and none of them work;
Contact us by telephone
For BT Broadband connection queries call 0800 800 060 or visit BT Broadband online help.
For BT Yahoo! Mail technical queries call 0870 240 3349 *.

I found the solution to a Mavericks bug on the Mail program. How can I share it? Several of my mail boxes stopped functioning properly when I updated to Mavericks. The title of the mails stored in the mailbox appear, but the content was unavailable.
After 4 long hours at the phone with the Apple staff unable to help me, I discovered that if I change the name of the mailbox, the contents of the mails stored there become available.
Please, make this solution available to other people!

I already have changed my apple id. But whenever I update any application, it is asking the old app id and password that is not a working e-mail already. How can I change my app id?

So you made a new Apple ID? Unfortunately that won't work. Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one ID to another and Apple does not merge Apple IDs. What should have been doen is mearely change the email address that was associated with the Apple ID.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5621
The only way that you can do this now is with a new email address if you used your current email address for the new Apple ID.

  • How do I get BT Yahoo Premium Mail?

I am about to move from BT to another broadband provider, but I want to keep my btinternet email address. I understand I need to move to (and presumably pay for) BT Yahoo Premium Mail (I am on BT Yahoo Mail not BT Mail) but I can't find out how to do that?

You can call BT on 0800.100.6778 who should be able to move it for you or see this link

  • How would e-mail address change affect forum?

How company recently changed e-mail addresses for all the employees.  Both the format of the username and the domain changed as well.  Our old address will still work for 2 years before they wipe it out, but of course they want us to start using the new address now.
Many websites, including NI discussion forums, use a person's e-mail address as the login name.  When the e-mail address becomes inactive, how does that affect my interaction on the discussion forums?  Obviously, I could still login using the old e-mail address.  But any e-mails from the forum for things such as subscriptions to threads would no longer work.  I could not find any place in my profile settings to update my e-mail address for subscription purposes.  Of course, I expect it to be difficult to change the forum login name since that would be my unique identifier in the forum.
This shouldn't really cause me any problems for almost 2 years.  And I'm sure I'll have to deal with it on other websites that use your e-mail address as the login name such as sites that I purchase products from.
Anyone else had similar problems with e-mail address changes?  It makes me wonder, if the new e-mail address is supposed to be better, why didn't they use the new format way all along.

The profile is site wide and not specific to the forums. To change the email address associated with the user, click the MyNI link at the top of each page and then the Modify Profile link.

  • Re: BT Yahoo Premium Mail

    Hi,
How do you apply for BT Yahoo Premium Mail and associate the application with an existing @btinternet.com e-mail account?
I only got the option to create a new account and an error when I tried to re-use my existing e-mail account.
    Thanks

Following moving from BT Broadband to another supplier I wanted to keep my btinternet email addresss.
Having just wasted a lot of time trying to get this sorted out, this how I got it sorted out.
    THE FOLLOWING DOES NOT WORK:
    1) The BT website options do not work. The web page is not set up for chrome. When using internet explorer it just came up with "problem with account" when I tried to log in.
    2) Ringing 0800-633-5335 - option 3 - the operator (David) did not really know what he was doing and I got nowhere. In the usual BT way was very polite and the same time completely unhelpful.
    THE FOLLOWING WORKED:
In the end I rang 0800-633-5335 option 2. I got through to someone called "Sid".
He eventually took my mobile number and rang through to another department to "downgrade" my email. This is a requirement of BT before upgrading to BT Premium email.
Sid rang me back and said it was all sorted and that the charge was £ 1.54 per month. Therefore my emails and the email address would be preserved.
He said there was a fault with the system in which a password change would be asked for. He said to ignore this - for this situation password change is not required.
Sid then said that billing would be separate and could not be included on a BT bill. Therefore bank details were required.
This didn't sound too good, however I didn't have much choice.
When logging into my email I then got this message:
    Service Change
    Thank you for changing services.
With this service change, you will be receiving the following level of service:

  • Signing up for BT Premium Mail

Okay, I know there has been chat about this, but does anyone know how to actually do it?
I left BT BB about 18 months ago. Tried repeatedly to sign up for BT Premium Mail. Always failed. No clues as to how to make it work.
Now, my BT Yahoo email account still works... I have been signing in via PAYG (well, I haven't as that doesn't seem to work nowadays ... but let's not go there right now).
The error I get is always :
... after I click on the 'sign up' page
    So, from page:  http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=27277
Click on the 'Get Premium Mail' == https://register.btinternet.com/cgi-bin/registernow?version=ie5&ex=1&product_type=PMR
And then you get the above screen.  Always.  For over 18 months.  I've tried this in various browsers ... all give same response.
Can anyone suggest how to resolve this issue.   I've raised this before, but no-one from BT seems capable of answering this very basic question.
    Anyone?

  • Premium Mail

Hi, I currently have a premium mail (talk21) account. This is paid for by automatic credit card payment each month.
This is the only product I have from BT since moving to New Zealand.
I want to change the credit card details but can't find how to do it.
I've tried MyBT but I keep getting asked for my BT account no. and I don't have one, only the premium mail account no. which the website won't accept. I've contacted customer services but they just emailed me and said to logon to MyBT.
Not much help. I've never had a bill for the premium mail, it just gets charged monthly. Any ideas anyone? Cheers, Nick.

Billing Live Chat should be able to help, open from 8am UK time.

  • Keeping my BT Yahoo Premium Mail Account, I am hav...

I cancelled my BT Broadband Option 3 subscription around Nov 20th 2011 and I discovered on the internet that my BT Yahoo Premium mail would be terminated 90 days after my BT Broadband was cancelled, I've had my bt email account for around 10 years so I don't want to lose it.
I've been running around in circles trying to get the £1.54 monthly charge setup so that I can keep my exisiting BT Yahoo email account all have lead to a dead end .. could you please help me .....
Here are some problems listed below that I've encountered:-
    1) I navigate to the following BT website link where it advertises to 'keep my email' account for bt yahoo premium for £1.54 / month, I enter my email account and it states "there is a problem with the status of your account" and doesn't allow me to progress further with the upgrade. Here is the link...
    http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=26508&s_cid=con_FURL_...
I still have a bt.com/btyaoo account and a BT landline and I can setill see broadband being billed for Nov 2011 so I don't understand why it will not allow me to upgrade here on the link above.
    2) I was advised by BT operatives to go to the following alternative BT web page to upgrade to BT Yahoo premium mail and most of you will be more familiar with this one... however it only allows the user to generate a NEW BT Yahoo email address NOT KEEP your EXISTING email address despite the link advertising that you can keep it..... after entering my bank account details and I enter my btopenworld email account the web page stops with an error stating that my BT Yahoo email adress is 'already taken': here is the link, also there is a link from my http://home.bt.yahoo.com/  'my account' page to the very same link stated below... the link is named 'Upgrade To Premium Mail' which is very deceptive as it is not an upgrade of your exisiting email account its an entirely new email address that it allows you to create only and this is no good. Here is the link .. with the premium link right at the bottom...
    https://register.btinternet.com/cgi-bin/registernow?version=ie5&ex=1&product_type=PMR
    3) I was advised by a BT operator to contact the BT Yaho premium mail team on the phone (I have a BT phone landline btw) and I called 0808 100 6778 Option 2 (email) Option (1 Change email) on a Sunday at 11am and all I got was the following message then the line cut off, the team should have been there as the message stated but the help service team was not available which is perplexing .. here is the message is this service dead ?
"Welcome to BT our advisors are available from 9am to 9pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 6:30pm Saturday to Sunday"
     Not true...
I remember calling the yahoo premium email team around the 20th Nov 2011 (about a month ago) and they told me that I would receive an email warning me that my BT Yahoo email account would be cancelled in 90 days with an option to upgrade to premium... this email has not been received (I even checked bt yahoo spam folder) hence why I am getting worried about not being able to renew my BT Yahoo Email Account.
    4) I called up other BT Broadband and technical numbers but they can detect from my BT landline that I no longer have BT Broadband so those numbers are not availale to me for help.
In summary it seems that you do have a service to upgrade to BT Yahoo Premium Email for BT users who have left BT Broadband but it is EXTREMELY difficualy to obtain to customers who are willing to pay for this service. Can anyone out there please help me. If I lose the email account it is a very serious matter to me as I have had it around 10+ years.

I'm moving from BT Broadband. I'm wanting to keep the email address and have found that going here...
    http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12682/~/what's-the-difference-between-bt-yahoo!-premi...
and then clicking on www.bt.com/premiummail gets you:
Sorry, this page is currently unavailable
The tip (as stated above) about phoning the number above worked well.
I was told by the support person there is a 90 day grace period after the end of the BT Broadband and an email will come through on about day 86. The guy on the phone said ring the same number again then to upgrade to subscribe to the service.
If there is a department in BT that looks at things that don't work on their website it might be worth fixing this.

  • Premium Carrier Billing

    There has been a lot of discussion on the forum recently about charges for content provided via Premium Direct Carrier billing. Example of these are (not an exhaustive list);
    Playweez
    KKO store
    SkillDerby
    PlayPlanet
    FiiTr
While the charges appear on your mobile bill Telstra does not market or develop these services. We allow our customers to purchase the content from these mobile sites and charge their mobile bill for convenience. Telstra enforces a number of consumer safeguards so that third party providers follow mandatory policies and industry rules to adequately inform customers on advertising, promotion, pricing, opt out and the purchase process for each service.
For example, consumers must be able consent or opt into the purchase of any third party content and receive a online confirmation of their order, before they proceed to use the content. A subscription confirmation text message is sent weekly from the content provider, notifying the customer of ongoing content charges landing on their mobile bill and how to opt out of the subscription service. The service provider’s help line is always included on the messages as well as on the customer’s mobile bill.
If you have been billed for a Premium Direct Carrier billed service and wish to unsubscribe or have a query about the charges then you need to contact the content provider in the first instance. If you have contacted the service provider and are not satisfied with the response then contact Telstra for assistance.
Finally, it is important to note that to stop charges you must unsubscribe from the service by sending STOP to a 19 number or speaking to the provider directly. While contacting Telstra and reducing premium service threshold to $0 will stop new subscriptions from being added, existing ones will continue until cancelled and are not affected by this change.

Dan, Dingo dan and the all the other moderators, wake up. This is a dishonest disgusting and aborhent set up and your customers are coping a flogging. Closing threads and moving issues only prevents us victims from warning other victims of the merry-go-round you are about to put them on. This Is a telstra issue. Fobbing off your customers who are being exploited and  by your lack of dilligence and blatent ignorence of the scam you are even more to blame than the people you are facititating. None of us want anything to do with these theives and you are forcing us into dangerous situations.I followed your process, was treated as a criminal by you and KKO for asking for my own money back. I have a pre paid service with you, i paid to have phone calls, SMS text and data, not for you to give it to the first joe blow who shows up with my phone number and a random date (which they can get anywhere).Contacted KKO (against my better judgement) via email provided by you (to wash your hands of the issue and fulfil your legal obligation to refer) and 3 months later they obliged me with a reply stating that they need more info. Namely my address and a copy of my phone bill. (Note this will give them enough information about me to apply for credit in my name). Given they were able to steal $30 from me with only my phone number you can imagine how keen i am to give them more. If someone dishonestly charges my credit card does the bank send me to india to get it back from them? No they refund it as they facititated an illegal transfer and if unable to recover they wear the costs. No difference here. For all of you chasing thier tail like me, my advice take the half payment offered by the first telstra consultant, reduce premium SMS to 0$ mark and cut your losses. its quite clear nobody, not the ACCC, not the ombudsman or even the communications alliance (http://www.commsalliance.com.au/contact-us) have any regard for your plight and will actively work to protect telstras interest and noone elses. Sorry for the reality check. P.S when the class action starts, add me to the list. I'm so cranky it might be me who starts it over $30.
