Presence problem when using a drop-down menu

I am trying to show/hide a table when a choice is made from a drop-down menu. It doesn't work until I make the same choice twice, then I get the expected result. The script is under Change and I have used it before successfully, albeit it has typically been using a check box. Is there an easy fix hopefully for this problem? Code below:

Drop-down lists work a little differently than expected; in the Change event the rawValue contains the previously selected text. That's why it works the second time. The current selection is contained in: xfa.event.newText

While using a drop-down menu i.e. File, edit, image, or even when saving as and choosing the file type; the list appears and I am able to highlight what i want but cannot click on anything.

This is becoming incredibly frustrating. It happens at random time and a restart of the computer is all that helps, then with out any notice it starts to do this again. Mac Book Pro i7 2.2 16 GB 1333 Ram, (2) 450GB SSD both internal to machine. At this point I am losing file because I am unable to save in the file type I need. Does anyone out there know how to solve this issue?

I haven't been unify photoshop much in the past month, but I did try your suggestion and it seemed to work for a while. Today when i went to save a document the same thing happened: click on file>save at this point I can not click on save even though it is highlighted. Tryed to use command s that brings up the save dialogue box, but when I try to change file type I again cannot select it from the drop down menu.

Problems with flash transparent drop down menu over html in some browsers

Hi everyone... this is my first post and it's about an issue
that's causing me a few problems.
I'm currently designing/ building my company's web site, the

1) This layout contains an embeded flash movie (.swf) with a
transparent background, this is the main navigation.
The flash navigation has a drop down menu that animates down
and covers the html page (containing links) below.
The problem is that in most current browsers such as; Firefox
2.0.05 (links below template don't work), Netscape 8.1.3
(navigation drop down and links don't work) and Opera 9.10 (links
below template don't work), any links just below the 'invisible'
transparent area coverd by the navigation can't be clicked 'through
the flash file'. The exception is IE 7.0, everything is fine there.
(it hasn't been tested in any mac browsers though).
Because the area below the navigation on
www.kitachi.info/work is one large dummy jpeg file, the link below
would be a much better example to look at.

The flash navigation is embedded in the html (tlp) template
file using the code below and aligned using an external style
(.css) sheet, this html code not only embeds the flash movie but it
also tells the browser to display it's background and as
transparent. The flash movie is embedded in a layer that sits above
the table.

Does anybody know of any code that can solve this problem or
know a different way of creating a flash navigation with a drop
menu that can be embeded over html?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated especially as
this issue is holding back progress in a big way.

Problem with checkbox and drop down menu

I am using DW8 with PHP/MySQL.
I made a insertion form and a couple of the fields are
checkboxes and another is a drop down menu. Everything works fine,
however, when I create an update form and the recordset calls the
data it doesn't retain its values on those items.
For example, if I checked a box when inserting the record and
then call the data up for the update form, the box is not checked,
making the user believe it was never checked in the first place.
The same thing goes for the drop down menu. If I have 3
options in the menu and someone selects the third one, when the
update form is used it defaults to the first option automatically
instead of actually calling up the original value selected.

The fact that two scripts do not work together does not mean
there is a bug in the RH script. It is simply that they were not
designed by their respective developers to work together. This
happens with multiple scripts in any html file.
Try creating a new project and then importing just this topic
into it. Does it still have the problem?

Using a drop down menu as navigation

Good morning all!
I have been struggling with making a drop down menu work as navigation for a while and finally need to reach out to all you brilliant people on this forum.
I currently have a drop down menu with three items(Nav1, Nav, 2, Nav3) corresponding to three pages(Screen1, Screen2, Screen3). When I first created the menu it seemed I could only use the OnChange option to use navigation with the menu because, when using
the OnSelect I only get these options:
If(Datasource!Selected!Title
/// and ///
If(Datasource!Selected!Value
If I use the first option the title listed on my data source doesn't work, I get the red squiggly line. If I use the second option (Value) I have no value listed in my data source.
Therefore I used the OnChange option, I can get the menu to navigate to the first page, however I realized that this option chances to one single page no matter what the menu option changes to.
Does anyone know how to make a drop down into a fully functioning navigation menu?
The other issue I ran into was resetting the drop down to the first list item upson returning to the screen however, ptr.chovan,
offered this working solution:
set a variable in screen1 property OnVisible
UpdateContext({active: true})
and in screen1 property OnHidden
UpdateContext({active: false})
Then in dropdown visual add this in Items
If(active=true, .... your data source here ...)
Or perhaps easiest way is instead of resetting datasource of dropdown, you can reset dropdown default by adding this into Default property
of dropdown
If(active=true, "Screen1")

If your Items in dropdown1 are
["Nav1", "Nav2", "Nav3"]
Then use OnChange property of the dropdown1

Adobe Form... Is there a way to use a drop down menu to highlight or note other fields...

I am working on a simple Adobe form. I am currently trying to figure out if there is a way to use the answers of a drop down menu to either mark, note or highlight 14 other fields. There are 9 possibilities in the drop down menu, include a blank and NONE.
For example if the drop down menu is set to 1, then field 9, 10 and 14 are marked, noted or highlighted.
Is this possible with a script?

Have you looked at the properties that are available to form fields. I would look at setting the fill color or border color for a form field. Either of these can be done with Acrobat JavaScript.

Using a "drop down menu"

I would like to create a "drop down menu" so that the user can select from a list of options and based upon their selection, the rest of the Labview program will run with the option-specific parameters. Is there a way to do this using the "prompt user for input" icon, or...

In LabVIEW 8.x, a popup menu can be associated with any controls/indicators. Just right click on control and go to Advanced...as shown below. You'll have access to a configuration window. The Run-Time shortcut menu is managed using the event structure.

How do I select a range of values in MySQL using a drop down menu

Hi,
I have a database of picture frames that have a value of
frame width. I want to be able to select a range of values (i.e.
.50" to 1") instead of each and every value (i.e. .50", .56", .76",
etc.). I have a drop down menu (mnuWidth) with 5 ranges (see
attached code).
Each selection has a value from 1 to 5 indicating the range I
want to search. In my results page I have let DW set up a recordset
(see attached code)
Can anyone tell me how to get this to choose a range instead
of just the value entered by my menu?

I have been growing fond of lookup tables. Your lookup table would have your numbers in one column and the values you want returned in the next.

Caution: Lookup will return the closest value so it it looks for "10" in this example it will return "i"
If you don't want to see the error messages from blank inputs, wrap Lookup in IFERROR.

Problems with mm_menu.js (drop-down menu)

I've made a couple of sites with mm_menu.js (drop-down menu) made by Dreamweaver. It works fine in Firefox, Google Chrome. It worked fine in Internet Explorer up to version 9. In version 10 the mm_menu.js doesn't show at all, and in version 11 it does
show up, but places itself in the upper left corner of the browser. Can anyone explain why this is so? Is there any fix one can put in the code to make the drop-down menu look correct?

PWA - Access error when using a drop down list populated by SharePoint list

I am using PWA 2013. I have a list of future projects. On the form for a future project I have a department field. That field is a drop down that pulls from a Sharepoint list of departments. When I try to use the Create Projects button from
an item on the future project list it fails and gives me the error: "Sorry, you don't have access to this page". If I delete the department dropdown field off my form then the create project button functions normally and gives me the field
mapping prompt. I have full control as an admin to the project web app site which is what comes up if I request access and then go in and grant myself access. This is the same problem for everyone except the person that setup Sharepoint so that
makes me think I am missing a critical permission. I tried Site Collections admin and it didn't make a difference.

Different Files Returned when using the Drop Down list on the Search Results Page

Hi
I have a result set of 22 documents when I select Date (Newest) from the drop down on the search results page. The third document down is called "LL".
If I now select Date (Oldest) I have a result Set of 22 documents. However, when I move to the second page. The number of documents has reduced to 20 documents and my document "LL" which I would have expected to be the third from bottom document
is not there.
Am I doing something wrong here ? Search is OOTB. I have added some refiner columns.

Hi Nigel,
It is by design. The "About x results" is presented when the total number of results is uncertain, and that is when collapsing (i.e. duplicate detection in this case) is enabled and the result set is partially processed. By default, a result page
shows 10 results at the time. Therefore, for result sets with less than or equal to 10 results you will always get an accurate number of results and hence “About” is omitted. For more than 10 results you will get the “About x results” on the first page until
you get to the last page of results and only then we know the exact number of results and hence can omit the “About”.
Note that when you page out in the result set you will notice that the X in the “About X results” can vary quite a lot. That is because the total number of results is estimated based on the collapsing done so far. This is a common way of doing it by other
search engines as well.

Photoshop Elements12 - crashing when using Adjustment Layers. When opening the drop down menu there are 'boxes' for Black

Does anyone else have problems using the Channel Mixer?
This problem only started after the opening screen started to 'advertise' the advantages of moving to Cloud

Which operating system are you using?
Can you post a screenshot of what your seeing with the menus?
All adjustment layers cause pse 12 to crash or only certain ones?
The channel mixer adjustment layer isn't included with pse 12, so did you download an action for the channel mixer adjustment layer?
I never use the welcome screen since it seems to cause so many problems with the elements versions that have it, but rather make a shortcut to the editor and/or organizer and use those instead.

I cant use the drop down menu's of photbucket anymore eversinds I installled firefox 7, how do I solve this ??

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

How do you use a drop down menu to populate other fields?

I am creating a PDF that upon choosing from a list of People their address, phone, etc will automatically come in the remaining fields, or if a new person is choosen than you can add names address phone and it will save for future referrence ?

Try doing this:
Connect the form to a database and bind the fields in the form to the associated nodes in the data source so the data values automatically appear in the bound fields when a name is selected in the list.
Add scripting to the list of names so the associated fields for address and phone number appear only when the user enters a new name and needs the other fields to enter new data.
If that doesn't work, please provide more information about what you are trying to do. For example, here are a few questions to consider:
Q. What object are you using for the list?
Q. You say you want to be able to choose a person from a list of People, and their address, phone, etc automatically appears in the remaining fields address and phone number. What do you mean by etc. That is, exactly what objects are you planning to use for the other fields, and how many fields are there in total?
Q. Is your form connected to a data base, which can supply the data values for the address and phone number fields.
Q. What do you mean by 'a new person is chosen'. Normally the options on a list are pre-determined and added when you create the form. Do you want users to be able to add a new name to the list, and then enter that person's address and phone number in some adjacent fields?
