Presenter 7.0.7 crashes Powerpoint

I installed adobe presenter 7.0.7 from the school site. It worked well on Powerpoint 2010 for a while. Today it crashed Powerpoint in the middle of the presentation with an error message that said Powerpoint was disabling in and i should look for a newer version.
I tried reinstalling the addin, but that did not work.  so I uninstalled Presenter, and reinstalled it. that did not work either.  This is a version with a serial number, not the trial.
As of now it still does not work.
this is a school computer 32 bit Dell with windows 7 and novell networking software.
I cannot install presenter on my other computers because they are 64 bit and the installation fails.
what should I do?

I'm having exactly the same problem after using Presenter 7.0.7 trouble free for months. Now as soon as I change the Settings at the start of my session it crashes PowerPoint. It is too bad most of our school has abandoned Presenter because of this - I was hoping to avoid changing, the product has worked well for me for many years through many upgrades.

  • Presenter 7.0.7 crashing PowerPoint at startup

    Hello,
I have had this for a few weeks now:
When I double-click a ppt or pptx file from Windows Explorer, I get the following error message:
    "PpsPowerPoint
SlideShowWindow (unknown member) : Invalid request.
Automation rights are not granted." + OK button.
I then click OK, PowerPoint and Presenter work normally, but if I open another file in the same way, PowerPoint crashes and wants me to disable Presenter.
HOWEVER, if I open PowerPoint 1st, then open my ppt or pptx file using menu FILE /OPEN, it does not crash.
    I have Presenter 7.0.7
    Office 2010
    Internet Explorer v.8.0
    Windows 7 Service Pack 1 - 64 bit
We have already deinstalled and reinstalled Office 2010 and Presenter twice, and downgraded IE from v.9 to v8... as I found something on the Internet about this.
I have gone through this forum, found another thread on same topic, but it did not solve my issue.
    Please help!

  • PowerPoint file crashes PowerPoint upon opening

I have a very perplexing situation on my hands.
I have 2 PowerPoint files that crash PowerPoint when attempting to open them. The problem is that this is only happening on some computers. All the machines
I have attempted to open the files on are running Windows 7 and have Office 2010 installed. The computers also have Office 2010 SP1 install so I have ruled that out as an issue as well.
    Any ideas?

Can you see the presentation file inside your thumb drive? If not, then TMP file may help you restore them or you need a third-party recovery software here.
I don't know much about such data recovery software since I never used any. But if the PPT file is there inside your thumb drive, then there are fair chances to repair it by using Open and Repair.
If this doesn't repair your PPT file, then you must go for a third-party PPT recovery software. I have used such a software in my past. It was
PowerPoint Repair Kit software what I used to repair my corrupted PPT file. You may check its free demo version as I did. Just search it on Google or you may read this article
    http://www.powerpoint.repair/
I came to know about this software from this article.
Hope this information will be helpful.

Please copy the contents of a common folder to the Presenter32 bit or Presenter64 bit which one you are trying to install. Please check the scree shot mentioned below. You need to copy all the contents from common folder to Presenter 64 bit or 32 bit and paste it inside the payloads folder.

Hello to everyone out there: o)
I have itunes 11 .. installed 1 day before, now my playlists do not agree in the presentation!
itues keeps crashing! "Solution is sought.
Receive message when you found solution. Itunes connect"??
There do not appear in itunes all devices
    Windows 7
    sorry for my english!

Hey, I have had my intunes soley shut down my computer numerous times, for the past month or so. I realize now it is only within my itunes, but it may not only be itunes. My desktop and a lot of cashed info have been cleared now, as a result of a ton of restarts by completely shutting the power most likely.
I have been too lazy to back up my music because it messes stuff up, and goes so slow it crashes. it will probably work better if I dont even touch itunes and just transfer small parts of my library at a time, not all 120+ gb!
I think a my computer is
               a fried
b my files are terribly corrupted
c or my itunes is compromised
either way, i will back up my music, but what do you think the chances are my music is the culprate, and by backing it up I will have the same problem in the future?
i've been thinking re-installing itunes would be best
    let me know....thanks

  • Adobe Presenter 8 keeps crashing Powerpoint

    Hello,
I've been using Adobe presenter 8 for over a year on my computer with Windows 7 and Office 2010. My powerpoint instantly crashes any time i click on any of the buttons on adobe presenter (audio edit, manage quiz, publish, slide manager, etc...). I've tried several fixes mentioned earlier (removing temporary files). Also, when I start a new powerpoint it keeps asking me to disable adobe presenter add-in.
Any solutions besides re-installing adobe presenter 8?
    Thanks,

I experienced the same problem starting on May 12, 2014 just like you. I spent the day uninstalling and reinstalling but the problem never went away, anytime I try any of the Presenter add-in features it would crash. At he end of the day, I tried it on another computer that has the add-in and the same thing happened. So I do not think it is just my computer. I wonder if there was a windows update that is causing the conflict. I am unable to restore my computer to a previous date to see if that helps or not, but if it is a Window issue, we surely are not the only ones having this problem.
I am running Office 2007 on Windows 2007 Professional and have Presenter 8.1 installed.

  • Why Presenter erase all MP3 when Powerpoint crash ???

I want to know why Presenter erase all MP3 files if Powerpoint crash ?
    step by step...
1- Someone came in my studio and record his presentation.  I took him 2 hours.
2- When finish, I click "save" and close the recording windows.
3- Back in Powerpoint, I click the save button of Powerpoint... and... Powerpoint crash.
4- In windows explorer, I see the Powerpoint and the folder create by Adobe Presenter for the audio files with all the MP3 in that folder.
            -"Yes, everything is there"
5- I re-open the Powerpoint of the client.
6- Click on modify to see if all the audio are there
    7- Haaaaaaaaa, no audio.
-"Ok, I just have to reimport all the MP3 one by one"
8- I try to do that and.... Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa.... the folder with all the audio has been deleted by Presenter !!!!  I lost all the audio !!!!!!
Ok,  that's not what really happen.  Because I know that sometimes Adobe Presenter decide for me that it want to delete ALL my audio files.  So after step 4 (before re-open the Powerpoint of the client) I made a backup of the folder that contains all the mp3.
Can someone tell me why Presenter decide to erase all audio files when it crash or when it has a problem ????
If I did not make a backup, I would have lost all the work of the client...
And can someone help me with my other post (august 2010)
    Audio files name
All the 60 slides of my client have a name that doesn't match with the slide.  So because Adobe Presenter crashed et erase all the audio files, I have to re-import them slide by slide.  But with all those bizarre name, I have to listen each files and find the good slide that match with them.  why the mp3 don't have a name that match the slide number.  It would be very very very easiest !!!!!!!!!!
    Thanks

What version of Presenter are you using? I know this was a bug with Presenter 7.0.0, and maybe 7.0.1. I've not heard of it happening since then, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. It may be worth a discussion with Adobe Support about what happened and why Presenter would delete your audio files. You can reach them at 800-945-9120.
As to you other post, I did reply to it, but Presenter's functionality can't be changed. When you publish the presentation the audio files that are created do have a naming convention that associates them with the slide they are on, but in the build phase, it uses some cryptic method that I've never been able to figure out. So, for that reason, as well as a handful of other non-Presenter related reasons, I've taken to just using an Audio recording/editing application to deal with my audio, and then importing to Presenter. This allows me more control over the naming convention, as well as more control over the quality and settings used to record and/or encode the audio. It may seem like more work at first, but I feel like I can get through the audio portion of Presenter faster when I use a tool built for audio. Just remember to save or split your audio into individual files for each slide. Name them sequentially and then you can import them all at once into Presenter by selecting the first slide you wish to import to, browsing to the audio files and selecting them all for import.

  • Does iWork come with a form of powerpoint presentation compatible with Microsoft Office Powerpoint?

I recently bought a MacBook Pro and need to purchase iWork or Microsoft Office. Does iWork come with a form of powerpoint presentation? If so, is it easy to use and compatible with Microsoft Office presentation software? The latter question is extremely important as we use Microsoft Office primarily at the college.

Yes, Keynote is iWork's PowerPoint equivalent. You can save as a PowerPoint file as well. Very easy to use IMO.

  • Trial version of Adobe presenter 9 install error in Powerpoint 2010 with windows 7 64 Professional

Today I tried to install Adobe Presenter 9 on a Windows Porfessional 64 bits Platform.
After the installatieon Powerpoint 2010 has no tab of the presenter, because I have an (old) installation problem?
    Please HELP.

    Hi,
Make sure you have installed 32-bit Presenter if you have 32-bit Powerpoint. If you would have installed 64-bit Presenter for 32-bit Office then you would land up in this situation.
Let me know whether this helped.

  • Dual Display using "Presenter View" as in MS PowerPoint

I have a T410 type 2522-A92 and want to present slides on a projector screen while on my laptop monitor I can see the slide and my notes.   I have so fare been unsuccessful in doing this.  Is my laptop model not equiped for this task and if so, is there any way I can put this right.
    Solved!

    Hi Kappelmeister,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I’m sorry to hear that you had trouble using extended display in your Lenovo ThinkPad T410.
For using PowerPoint in Presenter Mode, the extended desktop feature must be enabled for this mode to function. Press FN+F7 to switch to extended display mode.
In PowerPoint, go to the Slideshow menu and click "Set up show”.
Click on the Presenter Mode or Show Presenter View.
After doing this and starting the slide show, the slide will appear on the second monitor (the projection screen) and the laptop screen can be used to access something in private.
Refer here for further information on how to configure PowerPoint to use presenter view with two monitors.
    Hope this helps!
    Best regards,
    Mithun.

  • Best way to create a Keynote presentation for use in Windows Powerpoint?

Hi all, as mac users, I know we have all been here,  I am being forced to use Powerpoint and a Windows machine for a presentation.   I am wondering what is the best way to create a keynote presentation (on my mac), and export it to powerpoint (on a windows machine). The goal here is try to get as few errors and missing components of the presentation as possible. I frequently have to export and import documents through Microsoft word and pages, and everytime I open a doc I get a message saying that some things couldn't be imported. This cannot happen in this situation! This is a very important presentation that needs to go as smooth as possible. I am going to be presenting this presentation on a windows 7 machine running microsoft office 2010.
What extra steps should I take (if any) to make sure everything gets exported and imported correctly?
    Thanks in advance,
    - A Mac user under Windows Oppression

Thanks, the presentation went well. I just had to try out different transitions and animations to see which ones worked with Pp. But I'm going full keynote next time!
    Happy Computing,

    Wow. Okay...
I'll let the real veterans in this forum tackle your issues one after the other. But, I can tell you, all will be well.
My only comment would be re: your computer specs:

To be completely honest, FCPX is a RAM hog. It just is. But, RAM is relatively cheap, and the pay-off is good.
4GB is right on the edge, IMHO. 16G is ideal.
I wish you luck, hang in there, and standby for more help.

  • Can't see Presenter 10 tab in 2013 PowerPoint. PowerPoint Suddenly stops.

I have installed Adobe Presenter 10 on my PC which is using Windows 8.1. It said I had successfully installed the program. I went into Powerpoint 2013 and fund the plug in and activated it. I cannot see the Presenter tab in the PowerPoint and then the PowerPoint suddenly stops working. I have reactivated the plug in repetitively with the same problem. I have re-installed the Presenter 3 times. I would be very grateful for any assistance with this matter. I know it is probably something simple I am ot doing correctly but I have been at this hours. Thank you.

    Hi There,
Please check in control panel and if Presenter is listed then uninstall it and check the removed preferences box during uninstallation.
Then Go to C drive > users > username > Appdata ( hidden folder) > Local > Adobe and delete presenter folder if found any.
Open registry editor and go to H Key CurrentUser > Software> Adobe and delete presenter folder if found any.
Do the same under H Key Local Machine > Software > Adobe.
Once you download Presenter 10 both files ( .7z and .exe ) and extracted the .7z file by running .exe then Adobe Presenter 10 folder will be created on your desktop which contains PresenterWin32 and Presenterwin64 folders. If you are using PowerPoint 2013 32 bit then go inside PresenterWin32 folder and run the setup.exe and vice versa.

  • T61 Lenovo Thinkpad crashes powerpoint 2010

Just installed Office 2010 on a Lenovo Thinkpad T61 running on MS Windows XP Professional v5.1.2600 SP 3. When we open two or more presentations in PPT 2010 and try to work with them PPT crashes. Sometimes it will crash when trying to open a file. We did not have this problem with Office 2007. I read through some posts and did try disabling (renaming) the Thinkpad send to blue tooth add-in, btsendto_office.dll and also the btsendto.dll files and that did not work.
    Any other ideas?

    Hello,
Does the problem only occur on one ThinkPad T61?  Have you tried it on another, or on different computers?
