Pressing enter on JSpinner field

Hi
I am using JSpinner in my application.I am not able to press "enter" tab in jspinner.When i pree enter no action takes place the cursor still stays in the JSpinner field
How to make JSpinner perform the same action as any other editable field when return is pressed if possible with some sample code.

I had the same problem, and after some time of digging through the javadocs and staring at the component, I finally figured out what was going on. First, JSpinner is a component, but like JTables and JTrees, it uses an editor to work with the values. So the JSpinner itself doesn't take the keyboard focus, so the editor should. Although that sounds right, that's not the case. Notice the editor is actually 3 components: a JTextField and two JButtons. Ok, so how to get the JTextField to add a KeyListener to it. (Because as it turns out, the JTextField is the actual component that will take keyboard focus.) Well, the JSpinner.getEditor() actually returns a JSpinner.DefaultEditor. On the JSpinner.DefaultEditor is a method called getTextField which will get you the JTextField you need. (It's actually a subclass of JTextField.) Ok, once you've added the listener, you will need to call the commitEdit method on one of any of the various classes encompassed by the JSpinner. Then, since it's not clear where the hell the focus goes after that, it would be wise to grabFocus on whatever Component you want the focus to move onto. For example, if you're using the JSpinner as a TableCellEditor, call commitEdit, then editingStopped on the JTable, and finally grabFocus on the JTable. It seems that the JSpinner isn't a very straightforward JComponent like most of the other Swing components, but it can be made to be so.

Address not completed when pressing enter key (address field)

In older versions of TB you could type the beginning (two or thress chars) of an email address and then enter. TB would autocomplete this our with the help of your address book.
Nowadays (31.4.0) there is no auto completion when you press enter. Instead you have to type some chars and wait till Thunderbird makes a suggestion and then you can press enter. That means an annoying delay.
I would be glad if there would be a fix that enables the enter key again so that it forces an autocomplete action in the address bar.

I am not sure what after submit processes you have for this page, but if the page was generated with the forms wizard you will have Process Row of <table> process conditional on a SAVE request and a unconditional branch to take you to the previous page.
What is happening is that the page processing skips the Process Row because it is not a SAVE request and then branches to the previous page.
I would try creating another after submit process creating a "auto row processing" data manipulation process to update the row conditional on Request=Expression 1 where expression1 is the name of your page item.
If you do not want the page to branch to the previous page create another page branch to the current page before the unconditional branch using the same condition.

Pressing ENTER key in clickToEdit af:table

In our application, we have a click-to-edit table. We are experiencing the following problem.
- Suppose one of the rows are selected, and focus is in an editable field.
- Press the ENTER (or RETURN) key
- The previously selected row is still selected (colored dark blue), but the fields of the row below are editable.
This did not happen in 11.1.1.6 (after pressing enter, the same field of the second row was editable and focussed), but it does in 11.1.1.7
Is this a known problem? Workaround??

i have develop,ed a module pool for table maintianece
in which there are theree fields
customer number name email id
now when i dont press enter at first field ie customer number after entering all data
and save the data is saved properly for all three fields
but if after e ntering the customer number i press enter and then enter name and email id
and save the data for email is not saved and also if i just press enter again the data in email id column which i entered disappears
can anyone suggest reason and solution for it

Selection screen field is not populated without pressing "Enter"

Hello All,
I am calling a report from module pool using SUBMIT statement. I have defined a selection screen as subscreen on module pool screen. On this selection screen i have a select option S_BUKRS. When I input company code 1000 and just press execute button on module pool, it is taking me to the report output. But S_BUKRS is not filled before the submit statement and hence report is executing as if S_BUKRS is initial.
I put a breakpoint and saw that the field S_BUKRS is not filled before calling the repot.
I re-ran the transaction (module pool) and this time after inputting 1000 in S_BUKRS I pressed enter and then pressed execute button. Now the value is transferred to report since S_BUKRS[] is filled.
Do I need to press enter key after inputting the values on the selection screen everytime; before pressing the execute button?
What could be the issue and how can I resolve it?
I am calling the report in PAI of module pool using statement SUBMIT ZREPORT1 WITH s_bukrs IN s_bukrs AND RETURN.

I believe, you should be able to caputre the value of S_BUKRS in AT SELECTION-SCREEN event even if the user executes the program with out hitting Enter key. Make sure that you are including the CALL SUBSCREEN <area> statement in the PAI as the first statement.

Error in searching field value by pressing enter

Hi all,
I am able to get a pop up with the values of the field and select in that pop up to the main screen on pressing enter.
But i get all the values of the column present in the table and not the one which i want to search. Also the main screen gives error message if the cursor is in the field on main page and works properly if the cursor is not there in the field.
Error is as follows:

Data getting deleted from screen fields when I Press Enter

I have a serious Issue need to resolve it urgently. I have created a subscreen in PS Module

Screen: 0600.
Enhancement: CNEX0006.
I have created a screen and populated the data via search helps, when I fill all the custom fields with values and press enter my data is getting deleted please give me quick solutiojn.

Pressing Enter Button Gives a Blank Page while Cursor is in Text Field

Hi,
I have a problem on my jsp page that there is a text filed (input type="text") and a button (input type="button") to submit the page.
When page loads the cursor blinks in the text field, and at the same moment if i hit the enter button of my keyboard it gives a blank page.
Here the button on page does not clicked by this enter button, no script calls neither the page submitted to the given url.
Kindly suggest what is going wrong.

I'd come across this issue a while back: [http://tipsandtricks.nogoodatcoding.com/2007/07/html-single-text-field-submit-caveat.html]; when there is only a single text field in a form, then pressing enter causes a submit with the text-field as the initiator. The submit button isn't invoked. This means any onsubmit actions will not be called. A simple way out is to put in a dummy text field in the form and set it's display to none (using CSS/styling)

Module pool screen field should default without pressing enter

I have got a main module pool screen which has a tabstrip with four tabs.
There are 2 fields in the main screen when we select from F4 for the first field then the field 2 should default in case of a condition.
This happens only when i press enter. I want the second field to change as soon as the first field is selected.
How do I trigger the PAI as soon as the field 1 is selected.
eg:                           Field 1 : i/p
                                Field 2 : display
                               Field 3 : i/p
On F4 for field 1 say i select value 'A' then the valu for field 3 should default to value 'B'. Also field 2 should be displayed based on combination of field 1 and field 2. But now it does it only on pressing enter.
How do I solve this problem?Also if i select field 1 value A and dont press enter and go to the subscreen tab then it does not do any thing. It allows to go on the subscreen tab. But actually it should default the field 3 value. It does it only when I press enter.
Also the F4 is from dictionary that is the screen fields are from dictionary. I have not created any F4 for the fields.
Please help me solve this problem

You can achieve this using List Box only not by Input Field. Since Input field doesn't trigger automatic PAI/PBO

I have a table with editable fields. Let's imagine that cursor is in field "A" in current row. User enter some data to current field and want cursor go to the next editable field in row by press Enter key. How to do it? Is it possible?

Assign an action to the "onEnter" event of the input field for column "A" and implement the action handler as

Customer exit for validation of PO fields in ME21N / ME22N - After pressing enter & save button

I am looking to validate the standard fields(EKKO-IHREZ, Your reference under communication) of Purchase order . So for this I used the customer exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_012 under the enhancement MM06E005 . I am able to validate but it is triggering only when SAVE selected.
1. Can we implement the same when we press enter button ?
2. How to log error message using macro for the field EKKO-IHREZ with error message ? As of now I am using message 'asdfasdfasdf' type 'E' which is appearing now in the log messages.

Better use methods like PROCESS_HEADER or PROCESS_ITEM of BAdI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST.
There are many threads and documents on this BAdI at scn.
In the chosen methods use Macros mmpur_metafield to attach error to a field (defined in type-pool MMMFD, mmmfd_ref_1 ?) and mmpur_message_forced to raise error message and add it to log.
include mm_messages_mac.
im_item->invalidate( ).
mmpur_metafield mmmfd_matnr.
mmpur_message_forced 'E' 'ZFSM' '613' ls_item-matnr ls_item-werks ls_header-bsart ls_material_plant-mmsta.

in table maintiance module pool program i have created thre are three fields
kunnr name1 and email id
now on pressing enter on maintiance screen the all the theree fields are converted to upper case i want to avoid this conversion to upper case....

and on pressing enter PAI is callled i want to avoid pai being called at this point of time

for tabel mantiance generater it is coming as disble so i suppose no need to gernereate table mantiance gerneartor again/
ys in dynpro for shp to name uppe or lower case check box is checked but it is coming as disabled.
pls suggest how to delect it and wht does upper/lower case check box in special attributed means?

After the update, pressing Enter no longer works to go to a URL, nor does it work in the Google Search bar thing.

Pretty much what the question says. I updated to the latest Firefox, and now this really irritating thing happens.... It happens lots of places too. Some specific things:
* Clicking on the address bar at all does not bring up the little flashing cursor thing, and generally gives me no indication that I've actually clicked on the URL. Same with that little google search thing in the upper right.
* Most frustratingly, when I press enter after putting in a URL, it won't even go to the site.
* After getting annoyed at both of those things, I try to type in something on a website, and though the URL stays the same, it starts dropping down a lot of suggestions from my history.
* Lastly, when I'm doing my crosswords on Washington Post and I switch to a different tab to type something on there, it doesn't switch my typing thing over - it stays on the crossword, typing things into that rather than into the typing field I clicked on to start typing in.
So, yeah, this is highly annoying, and I'd love for any help for these issues...
I did look at the FAQs, and they said something about the AVG SafeSearch thing causing one of my problems, but I don't have that extension, so it's definitely not that!

The AVG Safe Search extension can cause problems with the Enter key not working in the location bar.

How to "enter" a text field on a website that doesn't have an enter button?

I wanted to know I can press "enter" in a text field on a website that doesn't have an enter button.
I have used the following to help me code (i.e. login, enter values into fields).

The above link helps but there isn't a submit on the website I am trying to access or in the code.
What has worked for me, but isn't the best solution, is to simulate a mouse click on the desired field, after text entry, then simulate the keyboard "pressing enter". The problem with this is the mouse click depends on the position of the labview front panel. The code runs in the background and is also a subvi.

Just a question/idea - but can you not just POST the data to the web server directly? Take a look at the HTML of the page and see if you can find the <form action="<THE URL TO POST TO>"> and then find all of the names of the form fields and send them along with the values via the HTTP Client POST VI.
It sounded to me like you are trying to push data into a web server so it shouldn't be necessary to render the page and fill out the fields on the rendered page if you can bypass all that and just submit the data and get the response.
If the form data is sent asynchronously (using AJAX), then you might need to delve a little into the site's javascript to find the POST URL and field names.

Drop down list in Table Control - Value disappeared after pressing ENTER

Dear Gurus,
I have a problem in one of my development where I used a table control in which one field is a drop down list.
I used VRM_SET_VALUES and VRM_GET_VALUES for populating the values from the programand not use any domain level value table for that field.
My problem is when I select one value from this list , and pressing enter , the value get disappeared. But if I use a domain for this field with value table then everything working properly.
My doubt is am I doing some miss coding or using the VRM_ function modules improperly ?
