Previous page navigation - how to ?

Hi,
Imagine you have ADF Faces page (which can be called from anywhere)
with just one button - OK. When user presses this button, he should be taken to the last page where he came from, but without declaring navigation rules for such transitions.
How to achieve this ?
I just wrote Custom Navigation Hahdler, but without luck
Any advice ?

Hi,
one option is to keep track of the previous page in a phase listener (store the information in a session attribute) and then get it from there. Just set the stored viewId on the UIView root

  • Previous page navigation after on click of cancel button of a form in adf

    Hi,
    Can any one tell how previous page navigation works in adf?
    I am working on a portal page which is having a common footer for all jspx pages.This footer contains a golink for feedback form.
    so the problem is when I Navigate to any page (# page 1)and then Navigate to some other page (#page 2) and on click of Feedback link displayed on footer of page 2 Feedback form is displayed. and on Click of Cancel button of the form.
    Expected Result:
    User should be navigated to the page that they were on. (i.e., Page 2)
    Actual Result:
    User is navigated to page 1 instead of page 2
    i.e it is taking browser previous url.
    I am using the following code for the cancel button
    <af:commandLink text="Cancel" id="cl5">
    <af:clientListener method="goBack" type="click"/>
    </af:commandLink>
    java script....
    function goBack()
    window.history.back()

  • I usually scroll with page up/page down on my laptop. With firefox, it will go back and forth between my previous pages. How do I fix this?

    My question pretty much sums it up. I like to scroll with the page up/page down buttons, and it's hit or miss working with firefox lately. It will go between my previous pages that I've visited instead of scrolling down the page.
    Any suggestions?

    When you say ''"It will go between my previous pages that I've visited"'' like clicking Back button to go to a previously browsed webpage ?? OR does your current Tab switches back/forth to previous/next tabs located in the Tab Strip(Tab bar) ??

  • When I last up dated Firefox the forward and back arrows dissapeared. Now if I want to go back I have to go to History to get back to previous page. How do I get these forward and back arrows?

    On MSN web sight there use to be forward and back arrows on the left hand upper side of page that let me go forward and back from page to page. Now the arrows are gone and I have to use the History or Bookmarks to move back and forth.
    The arrows didn't reappear when I up dated to the new foxfire.

    Click the Firefox button, go to Add-ons, then Plugins and disable the following:<br><br>
    * Fun Web Products Plugin<br><br>
    * My Web Search<br><br>
    Both of these are adware/spyware and cause performance issues in Firefox.
    Next, click the Extensions menu link (above Plugins where you are) and remove the "Ask Toolbar".
    If the problem persists, please do the following:<br><br>
    #Click '''Help '''| '''Restart with Add-ons disabled'''.<br><br>
    #In the next menu which appears, checkmark: "'''Reset toolbars and Controls'''".<br><br>
    #Finally, click the button called "'''Make changes and restart'''".
    Just in case you weren't aware of it, you can right click the Back or Forward buttons to get a list of sites visited. If you'd like to see the return of the arrow on the Back button, install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker/
    Last but not least, some of your plugins are seriously out of date which exposes your system to exploits. Please visit the [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ Plugins Check] page and update where necessary.

  • There is no longer a "close tab" under the file menu, so how do I go back to a previous page when the back button will not work?

    Often the back button will not work. I can find no "close tab" under the menus, which I think used to be there, and which is used with Internet Explorer to go to the previous page. How can I go back to the previous page with Firefox when the back button will not work?

    No you can't. Apple don't support downgrading of iOS.

  • How to achieve Page Navigation in af:table component

    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.
    I have a requirement for which i dont know how to proceed. Please guide me on the below requirement.
    I have an af:table component which displays a list of all the employees from the database. The total number of records in my database is 300(employee table).
    So my af:table component while displaying the Employee view object displays all the 300 employees when i scroll down the list.
    But i dont want the user to scroll down to see all the employees. In the af:table footer i want the page navigation option to be shown which will allow the user to see 10 records per page. When the user clicks on the next button , the af:table should display the next 10 records of the view object.
    Kindly help me or guide me to some reference material on how can i achieve this.
    Zeeshan

    There is no out-of-the-box table pagination in ADF 11g, the scroll-table is the way to go. New content is fetched only as needed when the user scrolls down the list. You can use the table's column filters or a separate search query component to make it easier to find employees on the list.
    See previous discussions, e.g. Urgent!! Pagination in ADF 11g.. and ADF Faces - Table Navigation in 11g

  • Did Lion eliminate the finger gestures for show the previous page and show the next page?  I've checked system settings for the track pad and it looks like the got rid of one of my favorite finger gestures when browsing the internet.  How do I get it back

    I've upgraded to LION. It looks like LION eliminates the finger gestures within internet browsing that used to yield navigating to the previous page or navigating to the next page.  I think it was a 3 finger swipe to the left and a 3 finger swipe to the right.  It looks like this has been eliminated.  I've gone into the system preferences and went through all the new settings for the track pad finger gestures.  I've not found a combination that allows me to swipe on the track pad to do the page forward / page back function.
    How to I get this back?  I was my favorite one and now I can't get there!

    For going back to the previous page try a 2-finger gesture. Two fingers in the other direction will take you back.

  • I have just updated to Pages 5.1 and now the templares which I have saved do not displat the header and footer which they were saved with in the previous version.  How can I have the header and footer included when I open a template?

    I have just updated to Pages 5.1 and now the templares which I have saved do not displat the header and footer which they were saved with in the previous version.  How can I have the header and footer included when I open a template?

    That is becuase Pages 5.1 has numerous unnounced surprises for the unwary user.  Among the surprises:
    - it strips out images from headers and footers without warning
    - it strips out bookmarks without wanring (yes, all those bookamrks you laboriously put into a document: poof! Gone.)
    - it strips out alternating left/right margins, without warning.
    There are many more suprises, as you'll see from glancing through these discussions. They fall into two main categories: things that are present in version 4.3 but that are missing in 5.1, things like
    -mail merge
    -meaningful Applescript/Services support
    -non-contiguous text selection
    -ability to set defaul zoom
    -ability to see comments while editing
    -ability to print comments
    -ability to read RTF files
    -ability to drag in hyperlinked ted from a browser
    These about about 90 other features are gone.
    Then there are the bugs.  Hyperlinks do not reliably export to a PDF file any longer. There have been multiple problems with printing report. Some fonts place stray characters in the headers.  Many reports of the program crashing, courrupting files, etc.
    Fortunately for you, the previous version of Pages is still on your system.  Export any documents you may have created or edited with Pages 5.1 (another great surprise: files created with version 5.1 cannot be read by any previous version of Pages: not just 4.3 but even 5.01!).  Then trash 5.1 and use 4.3 until (unless?) it is stable and has a reasonably robust feature set.

  • How to i get rid of the redirect notice it shows up on my safari whenever i try to go to a different page  it says "the previous page is sending you to: LINK if you do not want to visit this page, you can return to the previous page"

    How to i get rid of the redirect notice it shows up on my safari whenever i try to go to a different page
    it says "the previous page is sending you to: LINK
    if you do not want to visit this page, you can return to the previous page"

    Yeah, this seems to be something to do with Google, not your iPhone. A search on that error found this page:
    http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Web%20Search/thread?tid=56a3c4b71b3dc1d9&h l=en
    which shows people using lots of browsers on different platforms suffering from it. No definitive solutions though.

  • How do I prevent users from returning to previous pages in a PDF with fill-in-forms?

    I am creating a presentation in Adobe Acrobat Pro and there is a test at the end. I do not want users returning to previous pages to find answers. How do I do this?

    It can be done with a script, but it's not really a good way of doing it... The user can always close the file, re-open it and see the answers. They can also disable JavaScript and then do whatever they want. I suggest you think of another way of setting this up.

  • How to get the page navigation buttons back at the bottom of the page?

    After upgrading to Acrobat X I discovered that there is only one option for the page navigation buttons - at the upper left. I'm mystified as to why they put them there. Most users are right-handed. With the buttons at upper left it's awkward to reach up there, across the page, with the mouse cursor for every page turn (yeah, I know you can use the PgUp/PgDnkeyboard keys, but that requires taking your hand off the mouse every page turn).
    What I really want is to be able to put a copy of these buttons back down at the bottom center of the page, which was an option in previous versions. Is there some way to get those back at the bottom?

    Hi terpenoid,
    Have you tried Read Mode yet ( under the View menu)?  It displays a nivagation bar at the bottom of the PDF with next/previous page, zoom in/out, etc.
    Hope this helps,

  • How to go back to previous page

    I have two JSP pages first.jsp and second.jsp the user starts at first.jsp and clicks the submit button which then takes the user to second.jsp where the users information is saved in a database. I want to know how to go back to first.jsp from second.jsp after the users info has been saved? I have been able to get the previous pages url information put I don't know what to do with it. I know there is a jsp:forward but don't think this can help me. PLEASE someone help me I am stuck and need to move forward.
    thank you

    Why do you think that jsp:forward will not fit your requirement? An alternative is to use sendRedirect()

  • How do I go back to the previous page if the app dosen't have a back button?

    In iOS we can go to the previous activity of an app by swiping from left to right of the screen. In FireFox OS is there any way to go to the previous page of an app?

    Hello,
    Depending on the app it should have its own back button. Could you let me know which app you are having trouble with?
    I've attached a screenshot of the Settings app in Firefox OS. The screen shows the Sound settings page. If you wanted to go back to the main screen of the Settings app you would click on the back button in the top left hand corner. It looks like this: <
    Some apps (e.g. from the adaptive app search screen) may not have a back button built into the app itself. In that case you can access a back button from the navigation bar at the bottom.
    I've attached another screenshot from the IMDB app. Here I have accessed the 'Breaking Bad' page. If I want to return to the previous screen I can swipe up from off the screen over the orange button in the bottom right hand corner. It looks like this: ᶺ
    Then the navigation bar will appear (see my 3rd screenshot). The back button is on the far left side of the navigation bar. It looks like this: ←
    I hope this helps. Let me know if not.

  • Developing a 2 page form, username on the 1st page, password on 2nd how can i force FF to use the username from previous page when it asks to remember acct info?

    I am developing a 2 page signup form, where the person enters their username on the 1st page and password on the 2nd.
    When I test the form, FF asks to remember my password for the site - however it thinks the zipcode (field above the password) is the username on the account.
    I have tried to put their username/email in a hidden field on the 2nd page, just above the password field - and that did not work.
    How can i force FF to use the username from previous page when it asks to remember acct info?

    This website is using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving and filling the name and password.
    You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save names and passwords and other form data.
