Price condition equal to VPRS cost of goods

I have a senario ,which we will create sales orders for customers with sales price equals to the MAP(moving average price) at the  time when the SO being input .And the sales price in sales orders should be copy to the billing whether  the MAP has changed or not .
Now I have set up an pricing procedure ,which  use  VPRS  as the sales price condition type ,but here comes another question when I create billing according to the delivery . When I create the billing document ,the net value is defferent with the net value of the sales order ,because the MAP has changed during the goods issue.
Is there any idea that can make sure the sale price equals to the MAP , and the billing net value is same as sales order net value?
can you give me some advice ? thanks for you help!

Hi,
The pricing type (Copy control)  is an extremely important field. It is worthwhile keeping this entry
in mind when creating your pricing condition types. As a rule of thumb, you should
have all item categories for a particular sales document with the same settings.
Generally, you may use pricing type B (carry out new pricing), G (copy pricing
elements unchanged and redetermine taxes), or C (copy manual pricing elements
and redetermine the others).
When using condition B all manual pricing condition types are lost.
If you want to copy the sales order to the invoice without changing the sales order
conditions, use pricing rule G. This will copy the pricing conditions from the order into the
invoice without changing them, but will redetermine the taxes.

  • VPRS Cost vs Goods Issue Cost Mov. 653

    Hi experts,
    i have this problem:
    1) i make a Sales Order type credit note request using VA01 in reference to an invoice.
    2) the VRPS condition comes from the original invoice and that is ok.
    3) the system works with average cost
    4) when i do the goods issue posting in VL02N, the systems does a movement type 653 and the related FI document considers the cost from material  master record and it doesnt consider the VPRS cost from the credit note request.
    Example:
Master Record has 120 USD as cost 'V' for 1000 PC
VPRS in Credit Note Request is 100 USD 1000 PC
FI document related to 653 movement considers 120 USD for 1000 PC
I need that FI doc considers the VPRS cost. How can i do that?
    Thanks a lot,
    Alejo

Looks like you are using Price control V - Moving Average cost in your material master. Try to use Price Control S and the VPRS will be stable in all the documents. T Code MM02 - Give your material - Costing 2 tab - Under Valudation data check the price control.

  • F8 Pro Forma for free goods - value in F8 line item to equal VPRS cost

    Hello,
I would like to configure the following scenario:
FD sales order created with KLN item category
      LF delivery created and processed
F2 billing invoice created (no charge)
F8 pro forma invoice created (line item value to equal line item cost)
I have already configured this to work properly for regular sales orders and the values copy from the order as specified in the VTFL copy control settings, but I can't figure out how to get the above situation working.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • VPRS Cost Condition type

    Hello,
I have copied VPRS cost condition type & created a new cost condition type ZABC for the purpose of recognizing cost for a project.
When i create sales order VPRS & ZABC cond types are getting populated  in sales order with correct cost but when i create Invoice , VPRS is getting copied correctly from sales order whereas ZABC is not getting copied from sales order, It shows value $0   When i double click on ZABC , it shows "Inactive via formulae of incorrect".
Not sure if this is due to this error or some other error?
Copy control looks fine since it is copying all other cond types correctly.
VPRS & ZABC both are statistical.
    Can someone help.
    Thanks,
    Manny

    Hi Manny,
SAP does not recommend have more than one condition of type 'G' in general because only the first condition obtains the goods issue value as a condition value. For additional conditions, the special logic of condition category 'G' is lost.
Please refer to note 547570 about this.
If you still need the 2nd cost condition appears in the billing document, please consider the possible solution provided in
    Note 15462.

  • Cost of price difference and cost of goods sold

    Dear All,
I got the explanation from forum :
The price variance differences are posted per purchased item which are used in making the material to be sold. this difference rolls to the COS line, but not the COGS account.
May I know what is the difference of cost of goods sold and cost of sales. Both also cost, cost of goods sold is inventory turned to cost upon goods sold whereas cost of sales, to me, can be indirect cost.
Any help to further explain of COS in relation to price variance?
    Thanks

    Hi
In SAP there is a concept of COGS, but there is no concept of COS.. COS is more of a accounting terminology,... There are different schools of thought on COS/... Some companies treat COS = COGS + Selling overhead...
With Material Ledger, the variances of components purchased can be rolled up to the Header Material which consumes them.... If this header mat is consumed in further processes, the consumption can also be revaluated.... Going So on and so forth, you can also revaluate the COGS of the final material....
Simply said, when variances are rolled up, you can revaluate the inventory... If the inventory is consumed before revaluation, then you can revaluate Consumption / COGS....
    Hope this helps

  • VPRS with Free Goods and Batch Determination

    Dear Experts,
I have a problem on the products billing with Free Goods.
I will explain this, before the implementation of Batch Management (with batch split) the billing document show the condition VPRS on the main item (TAN) and the free goods item (TANN).
Now, when the Batch Management was up, the condition VPRS disappeared on the TANN item, I checked the order and it does shows the VPRS conditions. When i check the conditions on the billing document it shows me the following message when i check the VPRS condition
Condition ignored (requirement 004 not fulfilled)
Then I tried to debug the price determination and i realized that only on the TANN position the field komp-evrwr (price determination on the item category) is not 'X'.
Aditionally i can mention thar the batch split item category is defined as YG05.
Actually i only managed to show the cumulated VPRS cost on the main item.
Please someone say to me if this correct or there is a way to put the VPRS on the free goods item.
    Javier Sandoval Vera
    Ecuador

    Dear Javier Sandoval Vera,
As per the standard pricing Routine 4-Cost system may calculate the cost only for the pricing related materials, here TANN item is not relavent for pricing so system is giving that message.
If you want consider non priced item also in the cost calculation then you can develop new routine as per your requirement with the help of ABAPer. (by copyingh the existing routine 4 then do the changes accordingly).
    Or
You can maintain R100 -100% discount condition type in your pricing procedure, maintain settings as manual condition.
Now maintained the price relevant check for free item also then give the 100% -discount by entering R100 condition type manually with 100% discount for that specific item to make the item price as zero.
Now sytem will calculate the VPRS value without fail.
I hope this will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

    Hi Javier,
what do you do with the VPRS in your calculation- system ?
If you need i, you delete the requirement 004 in your calculation -system.
on the other hand, you can change TANN to komp-evrwr (price determination on the item category) is  'X'. Then you have to add an 100% rabate for TANN and the resukt will be free good.

    hi,
For your Item category, if you check DETERMINE COST
    Determine cost
Indicates whether, during pricing, the system determines the cost (stock value) of a sales document item.
    Use
The system checks the cost determination indicator as a requirement before applying the condition type that calculates the cost (condition type VPRS in the standard version of R/3 1.1)
Mainatin VPRS as D then it will automatically pull the price from Material master if maintained
IF VPRS is getting determined, then in your pricing procedure, you can add markup (multiplier)

  • VPRS cost not flowing when plant is changed

    Hi all,
    I have a scnenario where :
    1. The customer places an order to a Sales org 1000 whose company code is 1000.
    2. The goods are to be delivered from plant 2000 which belongs to company code 2000
    3. Material X is present in Plant 1000 and has been extended to Plant 2000
    4. The assignment of plant 2000 to sales Org 1000 and DC 10 exists.
    5.  When the user enters plant 2000 in the sales order item level the VPRS cost does not flow into the order, but if he enters the plant 1000 (which is assigned to compnay code 1000) at the item level the VPRS seems to flow perfectly well.
    6. I checked the pricing analysis. It shows ( when user enters plant 2000) requirement 004 is not met.
One of the conditions requirement 004 checks is that the valuation Areas (Plant 2000) company code and the sales organizations (1000) company code should be same. Does this means that I have to assign plant 2000 to Company code 1000?
My question is that is it necessary for the valuation Areas (Plant 2000) company code and the sales organizations (1000) company code should be same for VPRS to flow? Isn't the  assignment of plant 2000 to sales Org 1000 and DC 10 enough for the VPRS to flow?
Is there any other setting that is required or am I miising out on some setting.
    Please help.
    Thanks and Regards,
    J Nagesh

    Hi,
Your scenario is inter company sales
When you selling it from company 1000 and sales orgz 1000 and plant 1000 VPRS update
But when you deliver it from plant 2000 it becomes inter company at this stage VPRS will not appear rather is will update PI01 or PI02 condition and this become cost for company/sales orgz/plant 1000
Kindly see price procedure RVAA01and see intercompany condition and vprs conditions

  • How to Prohibit Sales Price Lower Than Material Standard Cost

    Hi Moderators:
I got a problem from our sales departement, because they found a manual mistake, that was, somebody who maintained a incorrect sales price in the condition record which was lower than the standard price in the material master data! This must be a error!
My question is, how to customize in SAP system and prohibit to maintain the sales price (LT standard price) in the condition record? Maybe system could issue a "Warning" or "Error" message to the user before saving the changes!
I'm highly appreciated that you can help me to solve the problem. Thanks in advance.
Have a good day and best regards
    Z.T

    Hi Zhang
If I have understood correctly, you want that, when the "Selling Price" is less then the "Cost" , system should give you warning or should prohibit from futher processing.
That means, system should not allow negative Profit.
If this is the requirement, then you can not set it in the Condition record.
You need to make the settings in the Pricing Procedure.
Go to your Pricing Procedure and for the condition type VPRS(Cost) make the below mentioned settings.
    Sub Total -  B,
    Requirement --- 4'
AltCTy  - 5  and save the settings.
Now when you create an order with Negative Profit ( Selling Price is less then Cost),system will give you warning and if  you will try to save then system will regard this document as Incomplete.

  • Cost of Goods sold in cross company sales

    Hi ,
We have a situation where we need to transfer goods from one company code and site ( Company A ) to another company code and site ( Company B )at the cost price of company A. We are creating a purchase order for this goods from Company B to Comapny A and in turn a sales order is issued for this from Company A.We pick up purchase price in PO from as the Per unit cost of comapny A.
The issue arises here about in the delivery from company A where the cost of goods sold in delivery is done based on the total stock value divided by the quantity sold as this is SAP method of calculation and this does not always match with the per unit cost. Currently we are passing this difference as discounts.
This is the best we could achieve where by we have been able to satisfy the business need of having no difference on the purchanse price of company B and sales price of company A.
My question is : Whether is there any more effecient method of achieving the desired result without having the difference which we are currently passing on as discounts ???
    Would really appreciate any help.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Kartik Shah

    Hi Raj/ Mahendro,
Thank you for sending me the reply. I will briefly explain you the our process. The purchase from external vendor is done in warehouse belonging to one company code. The purchase is done at Moving average price but normally for an  article there are no price variations. Goods receipt in warehouse is done after adding freight and insurance onto the cost of article. This is the value at which we want to transfer to another site in anotehr company code.
Now the replneshiment requirement from the other site which belongs to different company code raises a PO on to the warehouse. This PO picks up the article price (KOMV-KBETR) as the MAP from the warehouse (MBEW-VERPR). However the field MBEW-SALK3 for the warehouse is not exactly the quantity multiplied by MAP.It is actually the VERPR field which has the value based on the field SALK3 divided by the stock quantity and rounded off to the two decimal places. There is slight variation here itself due to the rounding of the total stock value and then again rounding at the per unit price.( Both the above fields of MBEW)
What we are doing on the sales order is to pass the MBEW-VERPR as EDI1 and the sotck value for the quantity ordered  ( ZDEI a new condition) by the site as MBEW-SALK3  divided by the total stock at that point and multiply by the quantity ordered. So due to rounding differences there is difference in the value of EDI1 and ZEDI . Again during the billing from warehouse this condition ZEDI picks up the stock value based on the quantity delivered.
Since there are minor differences due to the rounding of values between per unit price and the actual stock value this are being passed off as discount and the payables by the ordering site and receivables from the warehouse are the same. Cost of goods sold from warehouse is the actual stock value being sold which is the revenue for the warehouse.
Even if we use the standard SAP stock transport order with billing how could we ensure that we do not have even this minor differences.
Doing away with another document is not the requirement  since we already have automated the process of sales order creation from the pruchase orders.
Do you think we can achieve our requirement using SAP standard process? Except for this rounding differences we are fine with the current process as well.
Do Look forward to your answer.
    Warm Regards,
    Kartik Shah

  • Cost of goods sold for trading goods

In my company Cost based copa is configured.
We do manufacture and sale the goods, also we do trading to goods. for manufacturing goods the standard cost estimation is released but for trading we are not doing std cost estimation. In SD pricing procedure VPRS condition is incorporated to get cost of good manufactured. Now i want  the cost of goods sold for Trading material to flow to co-pa.
    How do i do it?
Do i need to create and release the std cost estimate for trading material? or there is any way i can manage the cogs to flow to co-pa actual cost.
    Regards
    Sanjay Petkar

One way is certainly to create standard cost estimates for the purchased products. Depending on your costing view qty structure and MRP view procurement settings you can use either CK40N or costing without qty stucture.
If you want moving average, then you need to exclude the purrchased material type from looking for a cost estimate in COPA, and then you need to link VPRS to your cost of sales key figure in PA.
