Price date category

hi all
i have activated the price date control in vendor master and info record and while creating the PO system is fetching  the date.
po created at 100 rs on 1.1.08
but GR done  at 150 rs on  10.1.08 as system fetches the price from info record but the thing is system is not updating the Price in PO.
i want system to update the price in po as IV would be done at the price of gr that is 150 rs

Hi,
In that case don't do the IV against PO you should do against the Delivery note in the Invoice verification, then system will consider the Gr value 150 rs for IV also.
As PO will not update as per the GR value only PO history will update .
IV should be done against delivery note. you can check.

  • How to update open PO price based on Price date category in contract?

I've created a contract/ outline agreement with Price date category as '2'- Delivery date. (Path is Item details> More Functions> Additional Data). This means that PO price should be determined based on its delivery date.
In contract, there are two date ranges for conditions. PO creation and delivery date falls under different ranges. Now, the open PO price is getting updated based on PO creation date but not on delivery date. We have tried using MASS transaction for this.
    Can someone suggest any solution?

The Price Date category field was visible in contract  but not in our PO. Due to this, MEMASSPO was not updating the field value and we were changing the value to '2' manually by debugger. Hence some table updates were missing and causing the whole issue.
The solution is to change the screen layout for PO. If Price date cat field is hidden, then you need to make it optional entry in SPRO- Purchase Order - Define screen layout at document level--> Quantity and Price for ME21N , ME22, ME22N and for field selection key assigned to PO document type.
This field will be available in ME22N- Condition Control TAB.

  • Price date category in PIR

    Hi gurus,
Could you please let me know the significance of price date category: current date
what is meant by current date, is it the date of posting of GR or IR
If it is the date of GR then what is diff between Price date category GR date and current date

    Hi
price date category: Determines which date is to be used for price determination (pricing) purposes.
If you choose the date of goods receipt, for example, a new price will be determined upon the arrival of the goods, causing the item to be revaluated at this time.
current date; this is the date when tou are creating documant.
GR date : this is the date when your are receiving the goods

  • Price determination date category problem

    Hi.
while Scheduling Agreement without any reference the price determination date category set as "5" "GR Date"  by default. But we want to use the price date category 2 "Delivery date" but it is not updated in SA. Even if in vendor master and purchase info record Price date category is 2 "Delivery Date".
And also field of price date category is non editable.
    Pls help
    Dhiraj Bhaskar

    Hi
Check the Customizing for the document type of the scheduling agreement (spro->MM>purchasing--->scheduling agreement ---> define document types).A price determination only occurs during the creation of the scheduling agreement if the 'time-dependent conditions' indicator is not set.
If you want 'time-dependent conditions' indicator is set then it will always be 5. and you cannot change. price date category is  editable only for time independent conditions. Thats why it is always editable in PO.

  • Price determination category

    HI
we create purchase order number 3 or 4 months before delivery.
But we negociate with our suppliers that we have to buy the goods with
the price at the delivery date.
The concerned purchase order numbers are created with price date
category "GR date" under folder condition control.
In my above mentioned example the system will create a price difference
payment block, because the system compares the PO Net price with the
    invoice price.
Should the system compare for the purchase order numbers which are
created with condition "GR date" the valid info record price at the GR
    date with the invoice price?

    GP

    Hi,
Why can not use "Pricing Data Control " as GR date in vendor master in Purcahsing data view in vendor master which you used in craetion of PO(ME21N). Pricing Data Control  is used for price determination purposes of material with various criteria's.

  • Need help in Pricing Date Category in Purchase info Record

    Hi Friends,
Need your help to solve the below issue
I had created PO for a material with PO price as  Rs 100 /-
The info record price for the material for current period is R150/-. Th pricing Date catergory in Info record is selected as "GR Date"
When I do GR for for today's date , system is still taking the PO price of Rs100/- . System supposed to consider the Info record price for today's date i.e. Rs150/-. But it is not taking Info record price
Could some one help  what could be the reason  ?
    Deva

    Dear Deva,
The price determination usually based on the field EKPO-MEPRF
price date category for the PO but not the price date category
in the info record. Please kindly check if you have EKPO-MEPRF = 5.
If you subsequent change the price category at info record, the GR still take
the value from the PO stored at table level.

  • "Time Category" tab in Price data.

    Hi,
I could find a tab "Time Category" having fields Time basis, day, month etc in the Price data (EA91).
Can anyone explain me the purpose of this, with an example ?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sathyadeep

    Hi Siva,
    Thanks for your reply.
Could you please explain more in detail.
We mention the date range, Qty base, price value in the historty tab. Then, why do we need this time basis to mention the number of days or months for which this price will be considered.
it would help me if you could explain more on your above said example "Price per 1 Kw per 12 months and
price per 1cbm per 365 days".
    Thank you.

  • Price date and Pr.Date Cat in Scheduling Agreement

    Hi Gurus,
Anyone know what is the purpose of these 2 fields in SA? If I enter the price date with Pr.Date Cat = no control, what is the impact? Will system based on the Price Date to get the price in the info record?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Sue,
The PR date category determines which date is to be used for price determination purposes.
If you maintain as "no control"it will take price based on the  document date.
hope it wud have answered ur question.

  • Scheduling agreement pricing date category

    Hi
i have a situation where the pricing date category in the additional data tab in scheduling agreement is defaulted to value 5 in display mode while i create a PO for certain vendors.
At first i checked for authorizations, but that wasn't helpful.
The field is in display mode when creating/changing an agreement.
pricing date category wasn't maintained in vendor master or info record for these vendors.
It happens only for certain vendors.
can someone tell me,how this is happening.

    Hi,
The field price control cannot be changed for scheduling agreements
with time-dependent conditions, it is always set to '5' (GR date).
The reason is that the delivery from the vendor does not necessarily
cover exactly one scheduling line; in many cases several scheduling
lines with different delivery dates are affected - which delivery date
should the system take in such a situation? In other words: there is
no scheduling line based GR in the SAP system - therefore it does
not make sense to change the field.

  • Price list category

    Hi all,
Which field will i maintain pricelist category in customer master. Thanks.

    Dear etukmma
    USE
If a customer frequently orders the same quantities of certain materials, you can use the customer price list for quick information on the customer during a price inquiry. The prices of all list items and the total list price are shown.
Menu path-- IMG-Sales and Distribution Basic Functions-Maintain Price Relevant Master data Fields---Define Price List Category for Customer
    First you define Price List.
The customer price list simulates the pricing which would be performed in an order. You can use the customer price list to view prices for a pre-defined list of frequently ordered products and quantities.
    fter defining Price List.
Now you create condition tables (V/03) u2013the combination you should select u201C Price Listu201D from Field Catalog
Create Access sequence (V/07)- Combination give the same table which u created in V/03.
Now you create Condition type (V/06) . And assign Access sequence to ur Condition type
Place the create condition type in ur Pricing Procedure (V/08)
    and
While creating Customer Master (XD01)- in Sales Area data- in Sales Tab - you will be having option in u201C Pricing /Statistics -
u201CPrice Listu201D u can select if u want to Retail Customer or Tax invoice customer u201C
    and
Finally you Maintain Condition Records (VK11) - with created Condition Type-
You can give price based on ur Price List.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Price Date Control in PO

    Hi,
I have maintained info.rec. with following price for different validity periods:
    29/10/2008 to 29/10/2008 -- Rs.19
    30/10/2008 to 30/10/2008 -- Rs.29
    31/10/2008 to 31/10/2008 -- Rs.39
    01/11/2008 to 01/11/2008 -- Rs.49
I have created 6 PO line items with Price control as below:
    Line item 10: No control
Line item 20: PO date (30/10/2008)
Line item 30: Delivery date (10/10/2008)
Line item 40: Current date (30/10/2008)
    Line item 50: Manual (29/10/2008)
Line item 60: GR date (30/10/2008)
When I do GR for all these lines, only GR date price control seems to be working.  The correct rate (Rs.29) was picked while doing GR for line item 60.  For all other items, it is taking some rate (Rs.0.02) which is neither correct as per the info.rec. nor the material master MAP.
Please suggest me how to use this price control field effectively.
    regards,
    C. ASHOK RAJ

    Dear Ashok,
I think u already answer your own question with your simulation and query
    for example :
below is example from SAP help
In the info record, you have specified that the price determination process is to be carried out with the conditions that are valid on the delivery date (pricing date category 2). Furthermore, you have created two validity periods (from 04. 01.1997 until 04. 31.1997 and from 05. 01.1997 until 12. 31.1997), each with different conditions.
You create a purchase order with the delivery date 05.05.1997. The pricing date category from the info record is adopted. In the course of the price determination process, the info record conditions from the validity period 05. 01.1997 until 12. 31.1997 are then adopted.
If you wish to adopt the info record conditions from the first validity period in the purchase order, you must change the pricing date category in the PO to blank and carry out a new price determination process.

  • Pricing date category

    Hello coworkers,
Is there anyone use pricing date category 5 in purchase order before?I found when I use this selection, the goods receipt price will incude tax amount together with the goods net price, therefore, the goods cost is containing tax amount. While per accounting report, the tax amount should not be calculated into cost of goods. Can anyone help to put some light on this issue? Thanks a lot

    E-mail:[email protected]

    Hi,
Pricing date category is noting to do with tax calculation. This indicates 5 help to post condition price which is valid on GR date.
Issue could be in Tax code. Check tax code I guess in your case tax type (sales tax) is inventories by key NVV. Or Account key which you have define for tax is inventories.
    Thanks

  • T code for Material, plant, stock and price data in std sap

    Dear All,
In Std SAP is der any t-code to get Material, plant, stock and price data in 1 go..
    waiting for ur early reply
    Regards
    Nainesh

    Hi,
Try T.Code: MC.9 and MC.5 etc. These reports will give you total value of the stock but not unit price.
If you are looking at unit price please write a small query using SQVI or append the relevant info structure.

  • Wrong Exchange rate for Import PO with past Condition Price date

    Hi
We do update Exchange rate type "M" on daily basis, but exchange rate in Import PO is wrong. While creating import PO, the PBXX condition automatically obtain the "exchange rate" with Old "condition price date" despite the Table "TCURR" has maintained updated data. Why system behavior is like this?
As per our requirement, system should obtain the data based on PO date. Kindly help with your experiences.
    Prashant

    Hi Biswajit,
Use the user parameter EVO to indicate that no price adoption from last Purchase Order must take place:
IMG: MM -> Purchasing -> Environment data -> Default values for Buyers -> Setting for Default values.
Select or setup a default value and on the "price adoption" tab you may choose how copying of conditions from last purchase order must behave. Select "Do not copy". Then assign this default value to the user, using the EVO parameter.

  • Intercompany billing: can price date be taken from stock transport order UB

    Hi,
I have an issue and I think that I'm not the first person who has this problem.
We are working with stock transport orders (UB) to relocate goods from one plant to the other (different company codes). We have some troubles with different prices in the purchase order and in the intercompany invoice because of different pricing dates.
    Example:
    1. the stock transport order is created on 15.02.2012 --> here the price date is 15.02.2012
    2. the delivery is created on 25.02.2012 (PGI date 25.02.2012)
    3. the intercompany invoice is created. On item level is placed the pricing date 25.02.2012
This situation may lead to a price difference, as already happened several times.
Do I have any chance to take out the pricing date from the stock transport order into the IC invoice?
    thanks for help.
    Chris

In the copy control settings (t.code VTFL), go to item level and check what value assigned in the field price source. Assign value A and test by creating new documents. If this solution does not  resolve your issue, then check the routine assingned in the field Data VBRK/VBRP. In t.code VOFM, copy this routine and create a new routine with additional code for VBRP-PRSDT to have STO pricing date and then add this route in field VBRK/VBRP.
