Scheduling agreement pricing date category

Hi
i have a situation where the pricing date category in the additional data tab in scheduling agreement is defaulted to value 5 in display mode while i create a PO for certain vendors.
At first i checked for authorizations, but that wasn't helpful.
The field is in display mode when creating/changing an agreement.
pricing date category wasn't maintained in vendor master or info record for these vendors.
It happens only for certain vendors.
can someone tell me,how this is happening.

Hi,
The field price control cannot be changed for scheduling agreements
with time-dependent conditions, it is always set to '5' (GR date).
The reason is that the delivery from the vendor does not necessarily
cover exactly one scheduling line; in many cases several scheduling
lines with different delivery dates are affected - which delivery date
should the system take in such a situation? In other words: there is
no scheduling line based GR in the SAP system - therefore it does
not make sense to change the field.

Arminda Jack

  • Pricing date category

    Hello coworkers,
Is there anyone use pricing date category 5 in purchase order before?I found when I use this selection, the goods receipt price will incude tax amount together with the goods net price, therefore, the goods cost is containing tax amount. While per accounting report, the tax amount should not be calculated into cost of goods. Can anyone help to put some light on this issue? Thanks a lot

    Hi,
Pricing date category is noting to do with tax calculation. This indicates 5 help to post condition price which is valid on GR date.
Issue could be in Tax code. Check tax code I guess in your case tax type (sales tax) is inventories by key NVV. Or Account key which you have define for tax is inventories.
    Thanks

  • Scheduling Agreement - Pr. Date Cat.

    Hi,
What exactly is the use of Pr. Date Cat. (specifically: 5 - GR Date) in the Conditions portion in Additional Data when creating Scheduling Agreement (ME33L)?
Does it really have any effect on the valuation of the material during Goods Receipt? As can be understood when displaying Help (F1).
"If you choose the date of goods receipt, for example, a new price will
be determined upon the arrival of the goods, causing the item to be
    revaluated at this time."
I have created several test scenarios but the GR price always takes the price in the Scheduling Agreement even if i have an Info Record with a different price on the validity date on which my goods reception falls.
Can someone please confirm it's functionality and how exectly the Pr. Date Cat. affects the Agreement and Goods Receipt?
    Thanks!

    Hi
Price date category will affect the valuation during the Goods receipt.
If the Price date category is 5 - GR date then the system will  search for the price in inforecord for the GR date then it will be considered for valuation.
In you scenario please check the price date category is maintained in purchasing inforecord as well.
    Hope it helps
    Thanks/Karthik

  • Scheduling Agreement Pricing Procedure

I cannot understand how the pricing procedure picked in scheduling agreement, I know pricing procedure for PO picked from caluculation schema and schema determination can any one explain me complete process to assign pricing procedure to scheduling agreement please.

    Hi
You need not enter the pricing procedure/tax procedure in SA(scheduling Agreement)
system will pick the pricing procedure from the setting you made for the combination of ur vendor and purch org.
In me31l go to conditions and you can enter reqd condition types in additional data screen you can enter the tax code
And the system picks the tax procedure from the assignment of tax procedure for ur country (company code)
while doing the schema determination u assign pricing procedure to vendor schema group and schema group og purchasing org conbination system picks the pricing procedure from tht settings.
    the path is as follows:
Spro-Img-MM-purchasing-conditions-define price determination process-define schema determination.

  • Scheduling Agreement –delivery date in month format -  MD04

    Dear experts,
    Scheduling Agreement, forecast delivery schedule.
When I enter a delivery date in month format, the system, during processing, automatically checks the factory calendar and proposes the first valid working day as the delivery date. ( Yes. I know it is a SAP standard )
My requirement is automatically checks by the system  the last  working day as the delivery date.
Could you tell me what are the settings i need to check to resolve this issue?
    Thanks in advance
    artur

As pointed out already above you need to use a periodic lot sizing procedure.
Use Lot sizing procedure P, Lot size indicator K and Scheduling =2
As per your requirement, you need to create a calendar using MD25 with Months (Workdays) as a calculation rule with 1 as the period in the box provided.
After a MRP run the delivery date would point to the last day of the month.
But the requirement is a bit surprising as say for a requirement on the 1st of the month you will have the delivery showing up on the last day of the same month. Under what circumstances do you have this requirement as a valid one in your business case?

  • Scheduling Agreement pricing condition PB00 value

    Hi Experts.
Within pricing schema I do have pricing condition PB00 that is manually put in by the user. I have created a routine in order to calculate the PB00 value based on some logics and assign it to PB00 within the pricing schema.
So, if the custom logic are found, the price value should be change accordingly, if not the value put by the user will be kept.
The problem is that, at end of my routine the price is correctly calculated (let's say the user writes 2 and my routine calculates a price of 3) and the price is correctly updated on the scheduling agreement line field NETPR. But if i go inside the item to see the conditions I still see PB00 with the not-changed value.
Can anybody suggest? I am manipulating xkomv-kbetr and  konp-kbetr.

    Hi, Thanks for answering.
They are set so. But i need in any case to change the value of PB00 accordingly to my routine. The problem is that, at end of my routine the price is correctly calculated. PB00 value is 2 and it correctly recalculated by my routine to 5. on the SA item I see hte net price equal to 5, but if I go in the details I see condition PB00 still equal to 2.
Do you have any hints? thanks.

  • GRN vs Schedule Agreement validity Date

    Dear All,
We got very severe issue, we have created the Scheduling Agreements(document type -LP) between the two plants (Cross Company Codes) with the vendor code created under the Account Group : 0007.
During the creation of the Scheduling Agreements , we have not assigned the Plant code in Vendor Master (In Purchasing organisation data-> Extras-> plant Assignment).
So the shipping data did not get determined per material in scheduling agreement and scheduling agreements created as the normal Scheduling agreements (NOT as Stock transfer scheduling agreements)
and plants started doing the transaction(In Production server) as Normal Purchase Sale (by creating sale order and GRN via Scheduling Agreement) .
But now , it is required to change the process via Sale -Purchase to Stock Transfer , so we have changed the Vendor master and assign the Plant to the vendors.
But the transaction has been going on already created scheduling agreements. So how Delete/Close the existing  scheduling agreements. and we need to create new scheduling agreements(Stock transfer scheduling agreements).
I have tried out with Validity period (by shortning the Validity Period) , so that existing SA should NOT be invalid for GRN, but GRN date has no control with Validity period of SA.
Please suggest how to go about it.
    Regards
    Nitiin

    Hi,
    Try This
Do not maintain Delievry Schedule in Me38 or you can try with setting Block vendor in Source List or you can change validity period in source list.

  • Schedule agreement pricing

    Hi
Please explain the function of the Time dependent indicator in the Schedule agreement doc. type.
What is the effect of having and removing it for the  Schedule agreement.
    regards
    arvind

    Hi,
I would suggest you to check the note 456691.
Check the Customizing for the document type of the scheduling agreement
(Transaction OMED).A price determination only occurs during the creation
of the scheduling agreement if the 'time-dependent conditions' indicator
    is NOT set.
Conditions in the info record and contract are master conditions. The
difference between quotations and scheduling agreements is made by the
document type (indicator 'time-dependent conditions').Master conditions
are limited to a certain validity period, have master data status and
are rather valid on a long-term basis.
Master conditions, which refer to more general price agreements such as
vendor, material type, ... (general conditions, Transactions MEK*), can
    also be represented.
Generally conditions in purchase orders are document conditions. They are
only valid for this document.Document conditions are also available for
quotations and scheduling agreements if this is set in Customizing.

  • FM to update schedule agreement pricing

Is there a BAPI or FM that I can use to update a schedule agreement in 4.7?  BAPI_PO_CHANGE gives me an error saying it does not work for schedule agreements.
    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi Matt,
I am not sure of the exact function module; but BDC is not just next to direct table update. It plays an important role when it comes to the integrity of the data. In BDC, we are calling the transaction, which performs all the necessary checks(Such as the permitted values of a particular field, Foreignkey relation ship check etc etc) on data base table before performing the data base update. This is very crucial, since the direct table update will never check these kinds of checks on the table, and there is a possibility of updating the table with undesired values. So, it is always a better option to go for BDC, whenever possible, than a direct table update.

  • Need help in Pricing Date Category in Purchase info Record

    Hi Friends,
Need your help to solve the below issue
I had created PO for a material with PO price as  Rs 100 /-
The info record price for the material for current period is R150/-. Th pricing Date catergory in Info record is selected as "GR Date"
When I do GR for for today's date , system is still taking the PO price of Rs100/- . System supposed to consider the Info record price for today's date i.e. Rs150/-. But it is not taking Info record price
Could some one help  what could be the reason  ?
    Deva

    Dear Deva,
The price determination usually based on the field EKPO-MEPRF
price date category for the PO but not the price date category
in the info record. Please kindly check if you have EKPO-MEPRF = 5.
If you subsequent change the price category at info record, the GR still take
the value from the PO stored at table level.

  • Pricing Condition in scheduling agreement

    Hi Gurus,
I'm working with scheduling agreements and I figured that whenever I create scheduling agreements, pricing condition PB00 gets defaulted to the scheduling agreement,
Can you guys be kind enough to tell me what configuration is driving this?? How can we make changes to the config settings so that I can have a condition type of my choice assinged to the scheduling agreenment??
More over I have a requirement to have a tiered pricing in scheduling agreement. I do know that this is driven by SCALES in SAP however as per my requirements I need to have SCALES per formulas. In the condition type configuration we do have a field for SCALES where we can assign the formulas but whenever I click on this field a screen pops up with some ROUTINES.
Can someone tell me how can I define the ROUTINES and the ABAP formula for this ROUTINE so that I can have my tiered pricing conditions accomplished??
Any feedback on this will be highly appreciated!!
    Thanks folks,
    Dhaval Joshi

    Hi Ramesh,
Thanks for the heads up. I looked at the config for the schema dtermination and I see that the pricing procedure RM0002 has not been assinged to any vendor POrg schema in this configuration.
I then looked at the config for the condition type PB00 --> pricing procedure RM0002 has been assigned to the condition type PB00 and since we don't have any entries maintained for RM0002 in the schema determination config I was just wondering if this is what is influencing the automatic proposal of the condition type PB00 in my scheduling agreement.
Also can you please tell me what is a difference between a Purchasing Document (BIG) and Purchasing Document (Small) in the schema determination config.
All I wanted to accomlish here is my teired pricing to work when I assign scales on the condition type in the scheduling agreement ( not in the PIR)
What currently happening in my case is ....
Example: Scale From 1 pc - 100.00 USD
    from 50 pc - 90.00 USD
    from 100 pc - 80.00 USD
    Target quant. 100 pc
    schedule lines 30 pc
    20 pc
The problem is  that the goods receipt of 30 pc is valuated at the price 80.00 USD It always takes a lowest price on the scale.
I've tried looking for OSS notes and also looked enough on the forums but I could not get any resolution to this question.
I would appreciate if I could get any heads up from your side.
    Cheers,
    Dhaval

  • Price changes in Scheduling Agreement

    Hi,
What is the best way to handle price changes in a Scheduling Agreement? From what I saw, the validity periods of the prices maintained in a scheduling Agreement is based on the GR date. Is there any way we can change this? The requirement is to make the validity price work on the delivery schedule date.
Right now, whenever a price change happens, we have to add a new line in the scheduling agreement. This doesn't seem right. Please advise.
    Thanks
    Ranjeet

    Hi,
Your date for pricing is controlled by Pricing date category u maintain in Vendor master >Purchasing view
If you select delivery date as your pricing and if there are many delivery dates the first delivery date is taken as
    the reference for pricing
But if there is no much price variation between delivery schedule date and Goods receipt you can keep that as
    goods receipt date

  • Perform Post Goods Receipt Against Scheduling Agreement

    Dear all,
I've weird problem here. This is concering GR against Scheduling Agreement. I've a "LPA" type Scheduling Agreement and all the delivery schedule maintained and schedule line released successfully in ME38.
When I do GR via MIGO by entering the Scheduling Agreement #, a prompt was given with no items selected. Note: My schedule line delivery date = GR posting date.
What I did was, inside MIGO I go to Settings | Default Values and check on "Propose All Items". Finally, the affected line item appears but with "blank" quantity. So, I key in the actual quantity per the released schedule line and complete the GR posting successfully.
Question 1: Why do I need to perform the MIGO propose all items setting? Normal PGR against PO doesn't require this.
Question 2: Is this a standard SAP behavior or I'm doing PGR - scheduling agreement process the wrong way?
    Appreciate any expert clarification.
    Thanks in advance.
    Steven

    Hi Jurgen,
    I've read Notes 493404 and I'm facing Question 10
    10. Question:
For the goods receipt for the scheduling agreement the system displays error M7 064: "Document xx does not contain any selectable items".
    Answer:
A possible reason is that the document is subject to a release strategy and has yet to be released. You can check this using transaction ME33 and release it subsequently if necessary.
Another reason can be that although a confirmation control key that contains a confirmation category with GR assignment has been maintained for the scheduling agreement item, this category has yet to be confirmed. You can check this using transactions ME33 and OMGZ. If necessary, create the relevant confirmation.
Another reason may be that no undelivered schedule line exists up to the posting date. If nevertheless you want to post the GR, you can use transaction ME38 to bring the next schedule line date forward, or in transaction MB01 you can select the "Suggest Zero Lines" field or in transaction MIGO the "Propose All Items" field under Settings - Default values.
From the snapshot of the notes 493404 above:
    1. I don't have a release strategy for the scheduling agreement. Have checked via ME33L
    2. I didn't implement any confirmation control in the scheduling agreement. Have checked via ME33L
    3. I've a delivery schedule line up to the posting date. In my scenario, schedule line date = GR posting date
Therefore, I'm still truly puzzle with the system behavior. Any further help will be most appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Steven
