Price from Preliminary Order Cost Est

hi
please explain in detail what is use of subject selection in valuation variant 001.
regards

Hi friend
Go to Valuation Variant 001 and 006, check selection criteria for material price options.
I m new on current job. Setting were made by another consultant. In these variants he make setting for material price options as follows;
1. Price from Preliminary order cost estimate
2. Moving average price
3. Standard Price.
Client is a process industry using process orders but in CO training last consultant advised users to make product cost collectors for each product.
a) I think no need to create product cost collector.
b) Valuation variant 001 and 006 should be 1. Moving average Price, 2. Standard price.
pl advise. let me detail if I select "Price from Preliminary order cost estimate".

  • Table for Valuation Price from USER EXIT - Cost Estimation

    Hi All,
Can you let us know from where the system picks the price for VALUATION PRICE from USER EXIT when we have following setting in valuation variant
    1.Valuation Price from USER EXIT
    2.Price from Purchasing Info Records
    3. Planned Price 1
    Sub Stratergy.
    1.Effective Price from Purchase Order
    2. Net Quotation Price
    3. Gross Quotation Price.
Now when we execute CK11N for a material, the system displays a cost price as 316 Euro/ unit.
But Standard price is 290 euros, info record price is 294 euros & planned price 304 euros.
Our previous cost estimation ( period 1, current period is 5) was 316 euro/unit (which was not correct), so deleted the cost estimation with CKR1 and try to rerun the cost estimation to update the value (new price), but still the system is picking the old price.
Can you let us know from where does(transaction code & table) the system is picking the old values.
In CK11N Material valuation (Valuation tab) its showing as Valuation Price from USER EXIT.
We have activated Material Ledger with price control "s"and we in ECC 6.0.
    Do suggest.

    Hi,
Where & how can i find the exit.

  • Copy Price from Purchase Order to Invoice

    HI,
I have a urgent issue. I have created a STO purchase order and i have done delivery. The problem is i want to call the same value in the invoice.
Please let me know is there any way out.
    Regards,
    AKASH

    Hello saurabh,
thanks for your reply, as you said, I can create the same PP in SD and determine in IV, but the issue which I am facing is I am capturing mkt mvg price from material master in my PO.  Once the PO is raised, IV can be done after some time, whereing there is a huge chance, that mvg avg price from MM can be changed.  Now if I determine a PP in billing, the price in billing doc and PO will be different.
So, I have to have capture the value from PO to billing.....
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

  • Cost Report from Service order cost

    Hi Gurus,
Request you help in developing a custom report to fetch different costs involved in service order.
    Let me explain the scenarios:
    1. As per our current settings, if there is any goods issue against the service order the cost (cost of the material) is booked against 'Service Exchange Cost' in the value category in the order.
Reqt:- If there is any goods issue against the order, the system should show the cost of the goods (material) in the report as service exchange cost.
Please let me know from which table I can get this cost? From which table I can know whether there is a goods issue against the order or not?
    Please guide me in this.
    Regards,
    SAM

    Hi SAM,
Please use the PMCO table for order costing.
For goods issue status you can go with system status i.e. GMPS- Goods Movement Posted. This will be availed from JEST table agaionst PM Order.
Also there is field for final issue tick (KZEAR) which need to be selected during goods issue against PM Order. This status can be achieved from table AUFM against the reservations made for PM Order.

Please, is there anyone knows a solution for a resumption of the purchase price was register in a libne of sales order when we created by the DI API corresponding delivery ?

    Hi Jane,
    Thank for your answer.
In my sales order, the purchase price is the field GrossBuyPr.
But when I create a new delivery from this sales order the price is take from Item.
I used DI_API, because in my sales order, delivery's quantity is an user field. I generates the delivery with an addon.

  • Refurbishment WO - exclude moving average price from WO's costs

    Hello Experts,
We have following problem. In refurbishment WO costs contains also moving average price of component which is under refurbishment.
From our point of view it is not proper since such a costs are not costs of repair.
We would like to exclude moving average price of component which is refurbished (moved to REPI storage location).
In SPRO there is only a possibility to exclude costs from WO which are assigned to particular cost elements or their group but it is not a case here, since we cannot assign all repairable materials to cost elements group defined in advance.
Do you have any idea how to do that?
    Regards:
    Łukasz Kurlit

    Hi ,
In MM for split valulated material we can maintain cost /stock for each valution type of the material ..if a material has valuation V1,V2,V3 .. new material is bought at V1 valuation price and after usage it is valuated to V3 and then refurbished to V2 .. now for V1&V3 you can maintain Standard price or Moving average price as per MM02 accounting tab by changing the price control in that tab and maintaing price unit .. but for V2 i think we should have Moving Average Price because everytime refubishment takes place at different refurbishment costs ..  finally you need to follow as per your clients requirement ..

  • PP - order cost estimate in PP-PS scenario

    Hello dear colleagues!
Where can I read about the plan and actual estimate material components for pp-order in pp-ps scenario?
In the settings specified sequence of assessment strategies material component. These strategies are clear to me.
As far as I know except for these strategies, the system applies more:
    - price from the stock for WBSE;
    - price from cost estimate for WBSE;
    - other strategy.
From my point of view is correct, but I can not find descriptions and settings that change those strategies.
    Can you help me?
    Thank you for your attention

    Found in the following scenario
    FUNCTIONS "PRICE_STRATEGY_NEW" INCLUDE "LCK36FAZ":
    1. Price from segment of WBS-Stock.
    2. Price from USER-EXIT "EXIT_SAPLCK36_001".
    3. Price from cost estimate for WBS-element.
    4. Price from confirmation.
    5. Plan price from PP-order forr material and same WBS-element.
I do not quite understand how the strategy 3 and 4.
    Explain, please.

  • Future price not deleted after cost run

    Hi all,
If a material master has the future price maintained on the Accounting 1 view, then it is picked up in the next cost estimate that is created.
Costing strategy is Future price, Price from PIR, Standard cost.
However, I have been told that once the Cost estimate has been created, the future price is deleted from the material master. In this way the cost accountant can delay the release of a new standard price to avoid large re-valuations.
The future price is not being deleted following our cost run, can anyone advise on this?
    Thanks
    Phil.

Future prices will not delete when a cost estimate is released.  If the Future Price is ACTIVATED (no cost estimate involved) then the Future price field will clear because it is "rolled forward"  in the same manner that a Marked cost estimate is rolled forward to the Released Cost Estimate, leaving the field Future Planned Price on Costing 2 blank.
Be very careful with CKME - it will activate future prices and release future planned cost estimates, but it does not stop and show you what is about to be activated or released and the financial impact.   We wrote a custom transaction that had CKME report what it is going to do, so we have a chance to review the infomation.

  • Cost Price for Returns order adopting cost from preceding billing doc

    Hi Forum Experts,
Our Returns Order (SO) currently obtains cost price (VPRS) based on material moving average price.
However, what we really need is to copy the cost price from the preceding Billing Document.
I've explored using VOFM and created a routine under (Formulas --> Condition Value) as per below.
I found that while the debugger steps through this code, the value of the cost gets copied from the preceding document.
However, immediately after the code finishes execution, the value gets resetted back to the material moving average price again.
What can I do do let the system keep the copied cost price from the preceding document instead?

    Hi,
If you bring the Freight condition after PBXX and include in the net value, your problem will be solved.  so it will be 120 in MIGO, MIRO, Dellivery and VPRS in billing.
We have the same situation and its working fine for us.

  • CK11n Costing Run does not pull purchasing price from info record.

    Hi,
I have material which is a semi finished product (Material type: SEMI) and is purchased from a fixed vendor (specified in the source list).
The costing run does not pick up the purchasing price from the purchasing info record but
instead incorrectly picks up the standard price from the material master (Costing 2 view).
Can you please help me solve this issue?
    Thanks,
    Ketan

    Execute OPL1
    or
SPRo>>IMG>>Controlling>>Product Cost Controlling>>Cost Object Controlling>>Product Cost by Order>>manufacturing Order>>Check Costing Variants for Manufacturing Orders (PP)
Select the costing variant in the table from "Change Costing Variant: Overview" Overview Screen
    Click Detail Button
Click Valuation Variant Button in the Control Tab
Change View Valaution Variant Detail Screen Appears
In Material Valuation Tab Set Price from Purchase Inforecord as Priority 1 if you want to use Price from Purchase Inforecord for semi-finished product during CK11N
You can list down Priority 2 to 5 depending on your requirement
    This would solve your problem

  • Cost analysis through Purchase Order created from Sales Order

    Hi Experts,
This is the scenario: There is an Item No. which is not stocked in warehouse and is purchased only when customers ask for it. The cost of the sales order line having this item is calculated by the Purchase Order line on which the item is there. (The PO have items for other Sales Orders as well. And, Sales Orders have multiple item types) The Sales Order have the PO no. against it and Purchase Order has SO no. against the line. This is all done using MS Access and Sage Accounts. Lots of free typing and manual cost analysis involved.
I have gathered from this forum that we can create Purchase Order from the Sales Order. The Document No. information can be pulled from one another using Formatted Search. Can we do the accounting and cost analysis as well?
Please let me know if I have not made myself clear.
Thank you in advance and kind regards.

    Hi Ian,
I concur with Faraz, it is better if you use procurement document facility in doing back to back transaction from SO to PO.
However, in your case, I'm afraid you can't analyze the gross profit and recording the accounting related activity as your request using standard SAP B1 function.
    As for gross profit case:
Since you're actually using workaround in order to evade all hassles in maintaining all item master data related to this case, you create just one item code called S1 right?
SO DocEntry - SO Line # - Item Code - Item Name - Quantity - Price
    1001 - 0 - S1 - Table - 2 - 100
    1001 - 1 - S1 - Chair - 8 - 25
    1001 - 2 - S1 - Cloth - 3 - 10
PO # - PO Line # - PO BaseEntry (SO DocEntry)  - PO BaseLine (SO Line #) - Item Code - Item Name - Quantity - Price
    2001 - 0 - 1001 - 0 - S1 - 2 - 100
    2001 - 1 - 1001 - 1 - S1 - 8 - 25
    2001 - 2 - 1001 - 2 - S1 - 3 - 10
Note that standard B1 gross profit calculation is that system will compare selling price for each item with item cost / certain price list of each respective item. However, in your case, you put all item as a single item master. Thus, system couldn't compare Table to Table, Chair to Chair, Cloth to Cloth since the item cost for these 3 items will be the same, the price list for these 3 items will also be the same since it is actually only one master data. Of course you could update the gross profit calculation manually for each SO, but to be honest it seems rather weird to do this manually.
So, in order to simulate the gross profit calculation, you need to create a custom query and comparing PO line no with SO line no.
As far as accounting related recording concern, I'm afraid you can't do it
    1. SO 1 : Item Table - Selling price 130 ; Item Chair - Selling price 30
    2. PO 1 (linked to SO 1) : Item Table - Purchase price 100 ; Item Chair - Purchase price 25
    3. SO 2 : Item Table - Selling price 150 ; Item Chair - Selling price 40
    4. PO 2 (linked to SO 2) : Item Table - Purchase price 110 ; Item Chair - Purchase price 30
Correct me if I'm wrong, you want to record accounting wise that CoGS of Delivery based on SO 1 is 100 for Table and 25 for Chair, isn't it? No matter what costing method you use, you can't achieve this.
If you use moving average, system will average both Table and Chair cost price, since it is actually one item master data. Even if you distinguish each item as a master data, system will average the cost price for Table and Cloth by the time GR for PO 1 and PO 2 occurred.
Example (order by sequence of event):
    1. GR based on PO 1 - Table - Purchase price = 100, therefore Item cost = 100
    2. GR based on PO 2 - Table - Purchase price = 110, therefore Item cost = 105 (considering quantity only one for both PO)
    3. Delivery based on SO 1 - Table - CoGS incurred will be 105, not 100
To certain extent, same thing could be said with FIFO costing method
    1. GR based on PO 1 - Table - Purchase price = 100 (qty 1)
    2. GR based on PO 2 - Table - Purchase price = 110 (qty 1)
    3. Delivery based on SO 1 - Table - CoGS incurred will be 100 (qty 1)
    4. Delivery based on SO 2 - Table - CoGS incurred will be 110 (qty 1)
At first glance, it seems right since the CoGS for SO 1 is 100, tied up with purchase price for PO 1. And CoGS for SO 2 is 110, tied up with purchase price for PO 2. But we're using assumption here, we're assuming the sequence of Goods Receipt of PO and Delivery of SO occurred in the very same sequence as the issuance of SO and PO.
    1. GR based on PO 1 - Table - Purchase price = 100 (qty 1)
    2. GR based on PO 2 - Table - Purchase price = 110 (qty 1)
    3. Delivery based on SO 2 - Table - CoGS incurred will be 100 (qty 1)
    4. Delivery based on SO 1 - Table - CoGS incurred will be 110 (qty 1)
If above scenario / sequence that happened, you will get the wrong figure of gross profit since the Delivery of SO 2 will take the item cost based on GR of PO 1. Since we're actually talking about real life business process, who can guarantee that above scenario wouldn't happen? It is possible that you send goods to customer who ordered late in real life, too much possibility that it is better for you to mitigate such result.
My suggestion would be that you record the accounting transaction based on standard business process, no need to really capture the actual cost and actual gross profit for certain SO and PO. Too complicated, and the software itself doesn't cater this kind of requirement. Best thing you could do only create custom query for gross profit simulation calculation, but for very accurate accounting recording, IMO you should forget it. Hope this help.

  • VPRS - Cost price from sales to billing not valuation record

    Hi,
I need to get the cost to flow from the sales document to the billing document for the cost price.
We allow selected users to change the cost price at the time of the sales order. But when I create a billing document the moving average price is determined and not the cost price on the sales order.
In copy control pricing is 'G' and price source is order.
Is there a way around this via configuration ?

    Dear Javaid
Can you confirm that the sale order quantity and the billing quantity are same.  In most of the cases, these would be different and hence the cost also.
Meanwhile, in V/06, for this condition type VPRS, ensure that the Calculation Type is "C"
    thanks
