Pricing config/master data question

In pricing master data how do we control which fields show at the header & which show in the grid below?
So, for example, the access sequence contains Sales Organization/Distribution Channel/Division/Sold-to party.  How do we get the Division & Sold-to party to display in the grid in VK11 instead of at the header?
thanks for the assistance!

goto t.code V/05 and select the table that are used in the access sequence. Then click on the technical view button on the top.In the next screen you can find details on which filed needs to appear in Key and which in footer. Make the division and sold-to party in the footer field and save.

  • Master Data question - Resource Master

    Hi,
Got some master data related questions on Resource master. I am kind of relatively new to APO and trying to understand master data fields and functionalities. Can someone please explain me in layman terms with a small easily understandable example,
    1)     What is the difference between time continous capacity and bucket capacity?
    2)     What and where do we use u201Cexternal capcityu201D? I read somewhere that if we check box the external capacity, then APO uses capapity from R/3. What difference does it make if capacity used from R/3 or bring it over to APO and use it from APO? When u check box the u201Cexternal capcityu201D you are already bringing the resource to APO. So what is the use of using the capacity from r/3?
    3)     A Multi activity resource has a capacity of 8 hrs per day. For example a resource has 5 lathes and u can carry 5 different activities/operations at the same time on this resource. So every lathe has 8 hrs of capacity, that means the overall capcity is 5*8 = 40 hrs???? and where are we specifiying number of lathes u201C5u201D in the resource master?
    4)     What is the advantage of deriving bucket capacity from time continous, than directly defining bucket capacity?
    Thanks
    Appreciate your help..

    SCM,
I will today work on your question 1.  As time permits, if Sri Mathur cannot respond, I will then attack the another question later.
    1) what I am trying to understand here is..bucket capacity is 1 day minimum. that means 24 hours of capacity????? if yes, then time continuous capacity can be equal to bucket capacity if no breaks. if breaks are there then it is less than bucket capacity?
If one operation takes 2 hrs then that means, 1 SNP bucket capacity can hold 12 such operations??? Really confused.
Buckets can have any amount of capacity.  For instance, if you define a capacity as a Daily bucket, you can further define it to have less than 24 hours of capacity.  The difference is that the system manages this capacity as a single chunk.
Lets say I have a time-continuous capacity, which starts at 8:00 and ends at 16:00.  It has 8 hours of capacity available. If I am consuming capacity with, say, a planned order operation, the system will check whether the capacity is available, and when it is available.  So, the first planned order op that begins capacity consumption at 8:00 AM and consumes one hour of capacity will normally use the 8:00A-9:00A block of capacity.  If I am capacity leveling and dispatching, then no other order will be allowed to consume capacity during this time period (8A-9A).
Now let us consider the same resource, but configured as a single day bucket.  I still have 8 hours of capacity.  However, when I create a planned order to consume capacity, it only checks whether I have enough available left in the entire bucket.  The same first planned op order mentioned above, could be scheduled for 8A-9A, and would also consume 1 hour of capacity.  This cap consumption is not 'from 8A to 9A', but is '1 hour out of the bucket of 8 available'.  The next production order could also be scheduled for 8A-9A, and pass a capacity availability check, because there are 7 hours still available in the bucket.  8 1-hour planned order ops could be scheduled from 8A-9A, and still pass the cap check.
Time continuous cap consumption becomes very important if you are doing detailed sequencing of your orders, as is normally done in PP/DS.  SNP, which is usually less detailed, is more likely to use bucketed caps (with many exceptions!!).

  • Flat file: loading Master data questions

    Hi Experts,
    1
If I have a flat file with columns, Columns1, Columns2, Columns3, and we load this manually to an ODS monthly.
    a.
Where in BW can I see the exact match to the columns, Columns1, Columns2, Columns3?
    b.
What will be the effect of receiving the flat file from the user this month if the columns are not in the usual order e.g. Columns3, Columns2, Columns1?
    2..
I have an Info Object CustCode_10, check with Text (Medium description) and it also has an attribute CustDispl_11.
    a.
What should be the format of the flat file in order to get in the Master data?
    b.
After loading a flat file, I can go to the infoobject CustCode_10, right click and select Maintain Master… to see the master data. How do I see the data in the Attribute.?
    Thanks

    Hi,
for 1 a) you can see the exact order in the maintain Transfer rules section, where in you can check in the transfer structure.
    b) if you give it in the wrong order, wrong data will be loaded if all the 3 colums has same data type and length. or else you will get an error while updating.
    2) a) The flat file should contain like Key, Language and description.

  • Master data question

    Hello
Is there a standard field to store the vendor assigned customer number (to our company) in the master data? If so, what is the name of the field?
    Thanks

    Dear,
There is no field provided by SAP specifically, but you can use the field Prev.acct. no. under the reference data in the Accounting Information section....
    Table is - LFB1
    Field is -  ALTKN
so screen field name is LFB1-ALTKN

  • G/L account Master data question

    Hi all,
Can I change an account master to a regular B/S account from a customer reconciliation account i.e., turn off the reconciliation indicator on the account if there is a balance/ activity on that reconciliation account? I tried to change that account to turn off the customer reconciliation indicator and I am getting the messages
FH 110 “Modifications to reconciliation account not permitted”
FH 511 “The data contains error, you cannot save”
The second one looks like implication of first one.
So, can anyone tell me if that is possible at all or is there an alternative to go about it. User is trying to pass JE to that reconciliation account to wipe out the balances in the account since the company is not productive anymore so, is there any alternative to go about this?
Your feedback is highly appreciated and rewarded with points
    Thanks
    Kumar

The open item account in which you want to change the reconciliation account has been posted to.
By changing the reconciliation account in the open item master record the proportionate values from the items open at the time of change are not posted to the new reconciliation account.
    Procedure
On the balance sheet key date the open items from the old reconciliation account are allocated to the new reconciliation account using adjustment accounts. This allocation is carried out automatically when you create a sorted list of receivables and payables using report SAPF101.
The postings necessary are only carried out for G/L accounts and are cancelled on the first day of the subsequent month (balance sheet adjustment posting).
    Follow this :
Define adjustment accounts for Define Adjustment Accts for Changed Reconciliation Accounts.
This you do in SPR0Financial AccountingAR/AP---Business transactionsClosingRegroupDefine Adjustment Accts for Changed Reconciliation Accounts.
Here after entering your chart of accounts you have to enter the old recon a/c which is to be adjusted and the adjustment account(which we will have to create).
The same can be access via transaction OBBW.
After doing this using F101 (or SAPF101 via se38) I can get postings done from the old recon a/c to the new recon a/c.
Any receipts or payments on such old open items created will continue to affect the Old reconciliation account, even though the new reconciliation account is assigned to the Customer master. New Open Items will affect only the New Reconciliation account along with their subsequent transactions.
So we are not basically tranferring the receivable amount shown in the old recon account to the new one? But instead just putting them temporarily into the new recon a/c to reflect on the balance sheet?

  • Time dependent HR master data question

    Hello,
I want to compare the two records ( Current record with the  most recent delimited record) for pay rate for an employee. 0EMPLOYEE does not have DATETO or DATEFROM in its attribute list. Furthermore, I can not add DATETO as an attribute since the system does not allow it. How can I evaluate these two records to see the percentage increase.
    Your thoughts are much appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hello Siggi,
    Thanks for your respond.
I am using BW3.5 and for 0materia there are lots of attributes and for every attributes there is a "time dependent" click. Do I have to click all of them? Can you explain the theory behind that?
Mater data will be maintained respectively if I can change it to time- dependent.
    Thank you very much,
    Adeel

    Hi,
Is there a way  to modify vendor number(manually input vendor number e.g. from a file) when replicating vendor master data from ECC to SRM using the vendor master data user exit (SAPMF02K)?

  • Custom Report for Pricing Conditions Master

    Hi Everyone,
We know that Pricing Conditions Master Data is stored in KONH and KONP. If a condition is populated in a document then transactional data can be obtained from KONV with 'condition record number' as the foreign key.
The requirement is to design a custom report that lists for order items the pricing conditions (basic price) that are not populated in the sales orders. The pricing is not carried out in these orders as these are not chargeable orders, but the user wishes to know in an existing custom report the price from the conditon master data.
The idea is that the sales order has no pricing calculated but how much Sales Price the material has as per the price condition master record. This can be known by the custom report.
Visiting the standard prcing preports like V/LD is laborious for the user and wishes to add a column in an exisitng report of order item list for the price of each order item.
The challenge here is that in KONH there is no field for material exlusively. It gets stored as a text and hence fetching data from this table for a given material seems difficult. Let us remember that we are not refering to any sales order while accessing data from KONH or KONP.
Any thoughts / views on how this can be achieved are most welcome.
    Thanks,
    Hemant

You will have to work on exact condition table in access sequence instead of KONH. For eg: If condition table in access sequence is 601 then you will have fetch the condition number KNUMH from table A601 (prefix A before the condition table number). With the KNUMH you can get the condition value from KONP.

  • Profit center Time dependent and other Time Dependent Master Data

Hello Friends . I ticked one of the attribute of 0Vendor -
Attribute = Profit center Time dependent. Now I get
Date To and Date From Field. I read that we need to set this in BI via routine. Can u Suggest the below
Date From Field = GO live Date
Question 1 : If I set Date To FIELD to be Month end like for oct 10/31/2007 and make a routine that will increase the Date To FIELD to November 11/30/2007. Will it spoil the load since I read in SAP Expert that we cannot have same date to field. But i guess we can have it, Like If i load it today Date to will be 10/31/2007 and tomorrow load will also have 10/31/2007 . so it will have monthly snap shots of master data
Question 2 : what is advisable if I create Daily snap shots of master data like Date To FIELD will be Loading Date . Will that logic in routine to create daily loading date set to Date To FIELD will overburden the system and make the system die in few months or it is ok. we will have about 12 fields which will be time dependent.
Question 3: If you have any routine that set Date To field please email me at [email protected]
    Please help
    soniya
    null

    Soniya,
If you really need to do it, Quarterly is a better option than monthly so that you can reduce the number of records in master data.
For the time stamp, you will have to write some code.
Since you are going to use 0PROFIT_CTR object, the business content on this is still based on the old data flow. You have multiple places to write this code. The best place is to create a transformation between your Infosource and the InfoObject. Once you have the update rule, you can write a start routine.
you have to populate the date from and date to field.
date to = first day fo the current qtr.
date from = last date of the current qtr.
to get the first date and last date you can use the following logic.
    1. pass current date and fiscal variant to fm DATE_TO_PERIOD_CONVERT.
    2. get the first period and last period from the output of 1. (for example, the current date is converted to period 003, and year 2007, then for this value the first period will be 001, and last period will be 003 and so on)
    3. use fm FIRST_DAY_IN_PERIOD_GET to get the first date of the period.
    4. user fm LAST_DAY_IN_PERIOD_GET to get the last date of the period.

  • Question about Extraction of master data from R/3 into BI 3.5

    Hi there,
i want to extract master data, let's say customers or material, from an R/3 system into BI 3.5.
Now I know that SAP delivers ready-to-go DataSources for certain SAP applications that can be used for this type of situation. These DataSources will map some R/3 table fields for example to the according Business Content objects in BI.
    My question is:
Is there some ready-to-go DataSource for the master data i want to extract? Let it be customer data. Or "business partners" is the appropriate expression i think.
When I use Tcode SBIW to activate the DataSource I need for the extraction, I kind of have problems finding the right one. But for some simple master data I assume there must be a standard DataSource that I can use without bothering to change anything.
Or am I thinking the wrong way and it is easier than I think?
    Cheers,
    Stefan

    Hi Stefan,
    Some DataSources are 0MATERIAL_ATTR - 0ARTICLE_ATTR - 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR - 0ART_PLANT_ATTR - 0MAT_SALES_ATTR...
Consider that in some cases (Retail for example) you can find Master Data with 50mln of records, in this case you need absolutely delta upload method, offered by these extractors.
And above all you can always enhance these extractors.
You can built your custom extractors, on MARA - MARC - MBEW - ..., but you will not have delta capabilities and support from SAP for maintenance.
    Ciao.
    Riccardo.

  • Pricing errors are not cleared after fixing the master data

    Hi All,
Kindly go through the issue explained below.
Pricing is determined properly in transaction level(Oppt) when the master data is correct. cool.
System shows pricing error (Mandatory condition 0PR0 is missing, Pricing could not be determined) when price(condition record) is not maintained in product. This is also fine.  Now the issue is, Pricing errors are not going away from Opportunity even after the master data(product) fixed with maintaining pricing.
Scenario     :  Opportunity is saved with pricing errors.
Analysis     :  Price or/and Sales area are not maintained in Product that is maintained in Oppt.  That is why this error occurs.  So, we have maintained the Sales area/Price(condition record) in product. Now master data is corrected.
Expected result: After maintaining the price/sales area in product, the errors should go off from the created Opportunities and pricing should be determined properly.
Actual result: When we create a new opportunity with the same product, pricing is determined.  But the errors are not going away from the already created opportunity transactions.
Please let me know if this scenario is not clear to understand.
Please help with your inputs.  Thank you for your time.
    Regards,
    Maddy

    Hi Luis,
Thank you very much for your reply.  Could you please help me where is the button 'Redermine Pricing' available?  I have checked in Opportunity transaction but failed.

  • Question to recruitment/Appl. master data u2013 PB40.

    Hi, I have a question to recruitment/Appl. master data u2013 PB40.
    Maybe someone can help?
I have created an own candidate action similar to the SAP action u201CInitial entry of basic data.u201D
The Customizing of the new action is the same like that of the SAP action.
The problem is that the masks are different:
The original SAP action "Initial entry of basic data" starts with:
    Transaction: PB40
    Program (screen): SAPMPAP4
    Screen number: 100
    Program (GUI): SAPMPAP4
    GUI status: FAS1
The action I created starts with:
    Transaction: PB40
    Program (screen): MP400000
    Screen number: 2000
    Program (GUI): MP400000
    GUI Status: INS
Why do the program, the screen number and the GUI status differ and how to change it?
    Thanks in advance!
    Yours sincerely,
    Thomas

any talented  guy do this way.
i think  that ur working  in E2E project work
before  singoff ur business process u should give to ur users  master data templets..they collect for  masterdatas in before realization phase...that time  u should know  how many specifications is there and  in spections how  many in quantitative and how many qualitative u will indentify. if any query let me  back.

  • Pricing master data

I have a requirement where in I am interfacing the pricing condition records master data from the legacy system. We developed a program which is using BAPI BAPI “BAPI_PRICES_CONDITIONS” . This worked initially OK. however as we are testing more scenarios we are getting issues where in this BAPI does not create records correctly in the system for the same records with different validity dates.
Have anybody of you used /know any other technical solution to load the pricing master data in the system or can tell us more abt this BAPI . I read in one of the OSS notes wherein SAP says not to use this even though this is available which sounds weird to me
    Any inputs would be appreciated

    Hi venkat,
if I am not tatally wrong the LSMW can use an SAP standard program to upload the data into SAP (xk15). I've uploaded 2 Mio Records for the last customer in less than 12 hrs, so it is reasonably fast (although not lightspeed).
I can look up the program name on Monday, so theoretically a programmer should be able to upload using that program rather than the BAPI.
And yes, it is a shame to have some BAPI and to get the recommendation not to use it.
    Cheers

  • SD Pricing master data

    Hello Experts,
If anyone is aware of any standard extractor for SD Pricing Master Data, please help me out..
    Regards,
    BWTEAM

    Hi,
There is no standar extractor available. 2LIS_13_VDKON  and 2LIS_13_VAKON  gives conditions from Billing and Sales order respectively.
For Pricing Master data you have to create your own generic extractor using tables A5* tables (A501, A502 etc)  and KONP.
