Pricing in an Implementation !!!

Hi frnds..
I have a query about Pricing.
The case is that if a company is globally implementing its ERP,
then in that case can we do <b>Generic Pricing</b> in SD which can be later on locallised by different country needs.
By <b>Generic Pricing</b> pricing I mean pricing which includes only discounts and surcharges and <b>do not</b> includes country specific VAT, Excise and other taxes etc.
In a pricing procedure, can these country specific taxes and excise be added later on during localization ??
Is it a general practice or not ??

Hi Harry,
In Pricing Procedure most of the condition type are the relevant globally, except for taxes. Same Pricing Procedure can be used for different countries if designed accordingly. I have used samepricing procedue in 6 countries & in configuring the same, I have carefully designed the Tax conditions. In India it may be VAT / Service Tax / Education Cess on Service tax, where asGermany has VAT, Singapore hase GST & so on.

  • Automatic local PO creation has errors - SRM 5.0

    We are busy upgrading to SRM 5.0 and are having some issues....
    I can create a shopping cart from the catalog and it creates a local PO but the PO is always in HELD status. When I look at the PO in BBP_PD I get the following errors:
    E BBP_TAX             006 Data inconsistency during tax calculation                 
    E BBP_TAX             006 Data inconsistency during tax calculation                 
    E BBP_PD              358 Select a location to which a plant has been assigned      
    E BBP_PD              865 Delete price or set 'Invoice Expected'                    
    E BBP_PD              358 Select a location to which a plant has been assigned      
    E BBP_PD              865 Delete price or set 'Invoice Expected'             
    I have debugged function module BBP_PD_PO_CHECK and can see that the "invoice expected flag" is NOT set in the PO - this causes the "Delete price or set 'Invoice Expected'" error.     
    The "Select a location to which a plant has been assigned" error is because there is no location on the document...in subroutine "GET_PLANT_FROM_LOCATION" in program "SAPLBBP_PDIGP"......not sure why that would be blank though....
    The "Data inconsistency during tax calculation" is because in my debugging it was wanting a SUBTYPE of "ST" but it gets "EP". What concerns me about this one is that it actually should be "EP"...
    I have been trying to debug the SC to PO mapping to see what could have gone wrong....I think it would be in BBP_PD_SC_MAP_TO_PO_LOC?
    NOTE: I have had to TURN OFF the Pricing BADI (BBP_PRICEDATA_READ) implementation (BBP_PRODUCT_PRICE) to get this far. If it is active I get the following error in SM58.
    "Purchase orders cannot be created without IPC pricing"
    Has anyone had these issues before?
    Any help will be greatly appreciated

    1. Did you activate extended classic in SPRO (or rather - is it still activated )
    2. Did you retrieve the locations from the backend (as mentioned before by several others) check
    3. The badi you mention should be deactivated, as pricing is done using the built-in IPC (SRM 4.0 had a not built-in one - maybe still pointing at the SRM 4.0 one?)
    4. Check if the IPC is running correctly (go to SE38 and play around with IPCTEST* or TESTIPC* - too long ago to remember the correct report or was it something with pricing. The one thing I know is that TEST was definately in it!)
    5. Vendor master data is correct?
    6. Did you define that tax calculation is done in the backend (SPRO)? check

    1) You can create Account Keys in OBCN t.code this is used for Tax Procedure purpose
    2) Secnond one is the u can create in FI-SD integration purpose
    You define your account keys in this menu option and allocate them to the condition types in the pricing procedures.With the account keys, you group together similar accounts in financial accounting. Using the account key, the SAP System finds the desired G/L accounts.This way you can allocate a separate account key to each condition type within a pricing procedure to implement detailed revenue account determination.For example, you can allocate a freight condition to a freight revenue account, or a surcharge for packaging costs to a corresponding account for packaging revenues.

  • OBYC PRD Postings with PO in Foreign Currency

    I am observing a peculiar problem - ECC 6.0, Material Pricing @ MAP, CIN Implemented (Indian Project)
    October 1, 2009 - PO created with USD 300 (Exchange Rate maintained) - A/c assigned "Q" (Project)
    Custom MIRO done on October 26, 2009 (Exchange Rate maintained)
    Goods Inwarding MIGO done on same day i.e. October 26, 2009 (same exchange rate as of Custom MIRO)
    All well till here.
    But due to some reasons this entry has to be reversed - upon cancellation system is -
    1. Asking for PRD A/c assignment (which as per me should not be the case Material Price Valuation is MAP, however since it is A/c assigned and there an active reservation on the project - hence I understand that as soon as I did the GRN system actively considered the stock to be project stock). But my concern here is when I am cancelling the MIGO why is system asking for PRD A/c??
    2. Once I am maintaining the OBYC-PRD settings: System is posting the Price Difference in PRD A/c in USD and more peculiarly the INR conversion is ZERO "0" i.e. Accounting Document shows - USD 34 however local currency INR shows "0" - which should be the other way round??

    1. Please refer to SAP Note # 980402 - check whether this suits your requirements or otherwise.
    2. You need to maintain both DIRECT & INDIRECT exchange rate for the currency for a date i.e. PO in USD, Custom MIRO happening on 17/01/2010 in INR, subsequently GRN also happening on 17/01/2010, than in the exchange rate configuration (OB08) we necessarily need to maintain 2 entries - direct and indirect for 17-Jan-2010, in order to evade such issues.

    Thanks for your response. However, we are implementing Oracle Price Analytics using universal adaptor for EBS as source.
    In BI apps 7.9.6.4, one approach is to populate the csv files and load using universal adaptor. Can anyone tell me what are the tables in EBS that I need to consider to populate these files for pricing analytics?
    Are there any SQL queries available to populate pricing csv files?
    Any help will be appreciated.

  • Implementing customer's pricing and discounts

    Hello, I'm totally new to Weblogic and have a longtime client who has just purchased the Weblogic Commerce Server to put their catalog online. They have both domestic sales and international distributors with a complex discount structure in place. Naturally, they have all sort of currency conversions.
    My question to those most familiar with the existing code is what would be the preferred method to implement these changes.
    At first glance I'm thinking of creating a new custom tag class which would be used like com.beasys.commerce.ebusiness.catalog.tags.GetPropertyTag to add methods to retrieve the calculated "MSRP" price and currency, which changes depending on the type of customer, and the purchase price, which is discounted by customer. I would then change the cat.tld to use my custom tag class. The custom tag class would call the standard GetPropertyTag to retrieve the base values.
    The product/customer pricing would be in custom tables which would be exported from the ERP system and are not part of the Dublin framework.
    Does anyone have any other ideas regarding how to implement this type of functionality?

    I got your response, but that does not help as I had already verified that setting. That was one of my first checks to make sure that IPC pricing had been triggered. However, now that I have conducted more investigation I have found issues in regards to the lack of condition types in ISA. After review of the logs I found that certain condition tables have not been created and a mismatch of attributes exists. Can anyone comment on their experience of the IPC Dataloader and issues like the ones described when running an initial load for the first time?

    I'm new in CRM. I'm  interested in creating some user exits for pricing in CRM 7.0. I know it can be done in Java but I was wandering, since now the web AS is implemented in ABAP, if I could drop Java and use solely ABAP for user exits in pricing.

    Actually i haven't worked on metal prices...but once i had faced same type of error in my freight condition types...SAP responded with some solutions which i am posting...please see whether these are useful or not:
    (1) Condition row is inactive
    The condition type (group condition or item condition) is listed with or without a pricing result in the condition row on the condition screen for the subitem. However, the condition value is ignored. On the condition details screen (double-click on the condition row), an indicator is set for 'Inactive'.
    (1.1) Inactive indicator 'A  condition exclusion item'
    You have selected an exclusion procedure at subitem level for your freight cost price determination schema. The condition type with inactive status 'A' was excluded using this procedure in favor of another condition type (set as inactive).
    Check: In favor of which condition type or condition exclusion group was the condition type in question excluded?
    => Use Customizing transaction T_32 to determine the condition exclusion group to which the relevant condition type was assigned and use Customizing transaction TOK8 to determine the exclusion procedure assigned to the price determination schema.
    (1.2) 'K - Inactive due to calculation basis/shipping material type'
    An automatically determined or manually created condition type is set as inactive (inactive indicator 'K'), even though a valid condition record was found according to the analysis.
    Check 1: Do all handling units in the subitems belong to a 'material group for packaging materials' that is assigned to this particular packaging material type in Customizing? The calculation base of the condition type refers to handling units (calculation bases C, E or F) and, in Customizing (transaction T_06), a packaging material type (synonym: shipping material type field T685A-VHART) was specified for the condition type?
    => Material numbers are assigned to 'material groups for packaging materials' in the material master (transaction MM02). 'Material groups for packaging materials' are assigned to packaging material types in Customizing: Transaction VHZU or IMG -> Logistics General -> Handling Unit Management -> Basics -> Define Allowed Packaging Materials
    Check 2: Was a valid condition record for this condition type found in all subitems for the calculation base used?
    => Extend the condition pricing data (transaction TK11) so that valid condition records can be found for all subitems. If necessary, use a price 0.
    Check 3: Was the condition type only created manually for individual subitems?
    => Usually, manual conditions must be created for the calculation base in all subitems, with the value 0 if necessary. If changes were also permitted at header level for an item condition (in Customizing transaction T_06), you can automatically create identical entries in all subitems of the calculation base by creating the condition at header level. You can then adjust these templates (with the value 0 if required) at subitem level.
    Notes: For background information and options for 'Inactive K', see also note 318775. For the system response in the case of manual changes to freight conditions, see consulting note 773038.
    (1.3) Inactive 'L - Condition exclusion header or inactive at header level'
    The condition type could not be evaluated as a group condition or was excluded as part of a header exclusion because of another condition type.
    Check 1: Could the condition group be evaluated at all?
    => On the condition screen of the header conditions (enter '=kkon' in the command field), check whether different subgroups have been created for the condition type. If this is the case, several condition rows will be displayed for the same condition type. Also check the Check the scale input values in the individual condition display (double-click on the condition row).
    Since neither the price determination analysis nor the condition record display is available at header level, you must check the price table for the condition type using a subitem: Is there also a valid scale level for each scale input value? The lowest scale level is often missing in from-scales and the highest conceivable scale level is often missing in to-scales. For example, a to-scale of 'to 30 TO' cannot evaluate any shipments with 31 tons. You therefore need to extend this scale to 'to 99999 TO'.
    Check 2: Did you select an exclusion procedure for your freight cost price determination schema at header level?
    => Use Customizing transaction TOK8 to check whether the indicator 'A - header exclusion' was entered in the relevant column for the exclusion procedure that is assigned to the price determination schema. If this is the case, the group condition inactive status 'L' may have been excluded in favor of another group condition type using this exclusion (set as inactive).
    Use Customizing transaction T_32 to determine the condition exclusion group to which the condition type in question was assigned and use Customizing transaction TOK8 to determine the condition type or condition exclusion group in favor of which the group condition type in question could have been excluded.
    Check 3: Are you using your own scale or condition formula for a multi-dimensional group condition?
    => You may try to analyze the import parameter KOMK or KOMP for a group condition in this formula. However, these parameters are not filled in group processing: '...The components komk and komp are initial during processing of group conditions...' ('i - Formulas' button on the 'Scales for Conditions' detailed screen in Customizing transaction T_06).
    The inactive indicator KINAK is set by default to 'T' for group processing (inactive at header level) and is converted to the more general 'L' by the subsequent price determination.
    (1.4) 'X - Inactive via formulae or incorrect'
    If an error occurs during processing of multi-dimensional conditions (for example, during conversion to scale units or in a customer-specific formulas for scale bases), the condition is usually set to inactive status 'X'.
    Check: Are all formulas used in connection with this condition (condition base formula, scale base formula, condition value formula) error-free?
    (1.5) 'Y - Inactive because of subsequent price'
    According to the price determination logic in SD, there can only ever be one valid price in a pricing procedure. All other conditions are surcharges or discounts in some shape or form. Accordingly, the last, valid pricing condition (valid condition record and not equal to zero) always applies. All pricing conditions in the schema with a lower level number are set to inactive status 'Y  inactive because of subsequent price'.
    Check: If the required pricing condition was unintentionally set to inactive status 'Y' by a subsequent pricing condition, you must decide (using an exclusion procedure, if required) which of the pricing conditions is varied. All pricing conditions with inactive indicator 'Y' are included in the exclusion procedure.

    There might be other simple ways,but below is one I have been using.
    I would use one of the fields in additional data in customer master
    Customer grp1/2/3/4/5
    Assign the customers who need 100% discount to a Customer group.
    And you maintain one condition record for Customer group and it would impact all the customers belonging to that group.
    You can achieve it using Customer Hierarchy,but as you might have already sensed,it is not the simplest way.

  • How best to implement Student / Teacher Pricing?

    I would like to sort customers into groups after they sign up for an account with my site.
    Student, Teacher, Other, etc.
    My company gives special pricing to these groups. We send out a catalog each year listing this pricing for these groups.
    After the customer logs in, I would like pricing to change/update based on that customer group.
    Displaying the Original Price above / beside the new discounted price would be a plus as well.
    Does BC have this capability?

    Hi Lambeosaurus, I think the best and quickest way I achieved this was:
    1. Create your registration form for Teachers/Students to log in.
    2. After they are registered you can go to their account tabs and Select the option SUBSCRIPTIONS>Catalogue Discounts and apply the discounts for your catalogs.
    Secondly but maybe harder is to create a new registering form and automatically assign the users to have their discounts as subscriptions.
    You will maybe have to create a new WORKFLOW for this!

  • Free Goods Pricing Scale

    Hello SD gurus,
    We want to implement the following price model for our Client.
    Our approach is to include Base price and Free goods with it to achieve this
    Pricing Requirement:
    * As per the Business process of Client - the Material equipment is Wheelchair.
    * On the order of Wheelchair, First 4 wheelchairs are always free irrespective of the total ordered Quantity.
    *Price per wheel chair is 20USD
    *Brief Description is mentioned below in the tabular form-

    We tried to implement free goods determination with the help of NRAB and ZA00(copy of NA00) condition types , however, it was found that till first 9 ordered quantities, the basic price is calculating the ordered quantity with respect to 20USD, however, the deviation occurs in NRAB condition type (Reqt =59, Alt condition base=29) from the 10th quantity onwards.
    We already checked by maintaining Minimum quantity =4 , From=5,no. of free goods=4 in the free goods condition type.
    Still it did not worked and reflected the variation in terms of the net value (Basic price - free goods price)
    Finally we again created a negative condition type (Discount or surcharge) FREE with the calculation type -fixed amount, wherein the condition record  ,  we fixed the value as 80 USD (20 USD per unit price X 4 minimum free quantities) and found that the system is calculating -80USD for the free goods with respect to the minimum quantity of 4 or more - which is so far correct.
    Request you to kindly give suggestions for the scenario wherein -
    If the quantity is 0-3 ie less than 4 , the system should populate the price as ZERO as part of the first four free goods concept. Unfortunately our solution is not catering to this specific requirement.
    Request your inputs to implement this scenario.

    Hi Tarun,
    This can be met by using free goods functionality itself.
    It will be an inclusive free goods scenario.
    The easiest way will be to have a new free goods calculation routine (in VBN1), the routine will have logic like, fixed 4 quantity free always when the free goods condition is triggerd.
    Try that, discuss with abaper for the routine creation.

  • CRM ISA R/3 Edition on AP 7.0  Pricing Routine Number range error

    Hi Experts,
    For our R/3 ISA Secenerio I have developed a Pricing Prepare Routine (PRP). I have uploaded this routine into AP 7.0 ( which runs my IPC 5.0). Now when I try to register my PRP routine I'm not able to do so because of Number range not defined for Application V Scenerio A and Routine Type PRP.
    My question are:
    <b>1)</b> For a PRP type Routine( Multiple Implementation) is it important to assign a
        routine number?    ***( according to pricinguserexit manual dummy routine no
                                      has to be assigned)******
    <b>2)</b> If yes then how can i assign Number range for this combination.
    NOTE: AP 7.0 has SP 7 ( So it fullfills requirment for Special scenerio)

  • Tax is not getting updated in Sales Order Pricing Conditions

    Hi ,
    Tax is not getting updated in Condition of sales order when creating Sales order but when we click on update button it is calculating correctly.
    Following are the changes for in the standard Pricing:
    1) Created ZPSC condition type to calculate the sur-charge from Z-table
    2) ZPR0 Condition type to calculate the sum of PR00 and ZPSC
    So tax has to be calculated based on the ZPSC value, but it is calculating the tax based on the PR00 base price.
    We implemented the logic for updating values of  Amount and condition values for ZPSC and ZPR0 by creating custom Routine 904 in Calculation types and assigned the routine in Pricing Procedure.The correct values are coming till NET VALUE 3 but tax is calculating based on the PR00 net price.
    I debugged the code for Tax Routine the value for Net value (NETWR) is the base value price but displaying correctly in Net value screen of Conditions tab.
    Please suggest how to update the Tax values correctly without manual update.

    I am using a TAXINN procedure.....to correct my self can u brief me abt the CIN configuration settings required from SD point of view......how many tax codes have to be maintained for capturing the BED,EDCess,SHED cess,VAT,CST and what are the condition types required for capturing the same.....
    I am using JEXQ-A/R BED ......for capturing the BED....and so on ......I feel that i have missed out on some settings ,thats why few conditions are getting captured and some are not.....It would be great if you ca nhelp me on this.

  • Pricing with IPC4 and CRM4

    Hi,
    I'm very new to IPC and CRM-Pricing and need some help for a special task.
    I need a function module in CRM4 to determine prices with the IPC4.
    At the end, this function module should act as a webservice (rfc-enable) to determine prices for a products by using the following input-parameters:
    - materialnr.
    - sold-to-party
    - Sales Org.
    - Distribution Channel
    - Division
    For this task I tried to implement an ABAP function module that uses the function module 'PRC_PD_CREATE' and 'PRC_PD_ITEM_CREATE'. The problem is that I get always 0.00 values as price back. You can find the IPCServErr.log in the text below. Can you imagine what I've done wrong, or do you know a better way to get prices out of CRM by using the IPC?

    For the Characteristic pricing Table name:SDCOM and field name VKOND the values are updated.You need write code E.g.,
    $self.Z_pricing = 'A_1' if $self. Z_finish = 'A_1
    Here Z_pricing is the characteristics maintained for pricing
    Z_finish is the characterstics where the components A_1 is maintained
