Print Digital Signature

Hi Experts,
I've setup the digital signature for certain document types. Now when I print those signed document, am not able to get the approver's signature on print out.
From the SAP Help I found below link and it says that I've setup ' allowed' or 'possible' option for Document Display in Digital Signature Strategy.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm71_sp01/helpdata/en/45/f0f4a900b404abe10000000a114a6b/content.htm
I tried both the options and still not able to see digital signature during the print out or document display.
In the Help (above link) it also says that
"The document display and print option are not available to the signee if the forbidden option is set in the system table for the entire application."
Where can I find the System Table to remove the forbidden entry for the application?
Do I need to setup anything else to enable the digital signature print option?
Thanks,
Shaun

Hi Amit,
I am not sure on how to get the the signature of the person who released the PO, because as per my understanding the Relase Strategy i.e the Relase code is attached to a Basis profile.
What I would suggest is if you can get all the guys who can release a PO and define him as a Purchaser ie. a Purchasing group then it would be easier to print his signature in the PO.
Here are the Highlevel steps
1. Just have the Signature you want to print in a Tiff format.
2. You can upload the signature as a standard Text using program RSTXLDMC to upload and give a text name.
3. call the text name in your sap scripts.
reward if useful.
Thx,
MJ

  • How to Print Digital Signature in Smart forms.

    Hi Experts,
Any one please help me how to use digital signatures in SMARTFORMS.?
Which are the tables used to store digital signatures and please any one have any demo program which prints the the digital signature using smartforms kindly let me know.
    Thanks,
    Sunil kairam.

    Hi Sunil,
After doing some research in sdn and other sources i found the following result...
Digital Signatures are nothing but graphics that we can store in SAP and use in our Smart Forms.
For Example you can create a .bmp file of your signatures, upload it via SE78, and then use it in your Smart Forms in your Footer Area as "Authorized Signatory".
The Logic in the Print Program can be something as follows -
    1. Maintain a Z Table having fields like PLANT, FORMID (Name of the SmartForm), USERID.
    2. Before calling the Form, the validation is made for the Logged in User with the Z Table created.
    3. If the User Entry exists in the Z-Table, the Form is called and the Signature Image is displayed in the Footer Block i.e. the Authorized Signature.
    4. If user entry does not exist in the Z-Table then the message is displayed "You are not the Authorized for Printing the Form" and exits the Transaction.

  • Trouble printing digital signatures

I have a windows 7 computer with a new printer.  I have adobe reader 9 installed on the computer.  I can see a digital signature on the screen even in the print preview, but it will not print.  I can print the signature from a computer running XP!  Any ideas how to fix this?  Thank you!

I am using reader version  9.3.4 218.  Windows 7 premium home edition 64 bit.   Computer is an HP and printer is a brother mfc all in one laser.  I tried to  upload the document but it stated "the content type of this image is not allowed".  I am unsure how the document was created, or how the signature was created it came to my gmail from an outside source.  Also, this happens on most of the digital signatures that I receive, not just this one.
    Thank you!  -Cheryl

  • Make printed digital signature disappear if document altered

We have created a document and digitally signed it.  We have then altered the document.  When the document is viewed on the screen the signature shows as invalid.
When the document is printed, however, the signature is the same.
Is there a way of either showing the state of the signature (valid / invalid), or making it disappear on a printed document?
Note, I did notice a similar question here, but the response was to a link that no longer works.
    Thanks for your help.

Thanks for this - it would achieve the results, but implementing would be difficult.
I am trying to imagine the process that a user would have to go through.  Digitally sign a document and then cut and paste a bunch of javascript into the document?  It seems like a step that would be difficult to train people on, and hard to manage.
Is it be possible to make the check box for a valid signatures visible on print as well as screen?  Maybe that is the best result.  We want to allow printing and annotations, but we just want to prevent someone passing off an altered printed copy as true.  Any solution that accomplishes this would be helpful.

  • Printing digital signature in main window of sapscript at some location

    Hi,
I want to print graphics in main window in sapscript. I want to position the graphic ( signature) at some position (preferably right aligned ). How to do that? Can we do that in .bmp graphics. In case we use .tiff format , how to do it. Tell me the steps involved as I have never used RSTXLDMC to upload .tiff files.
    Regards,
    D.Mallick

    Hi
Just open rstxldmc in se38 and execute.
It will gve you a screen. You need to fill the first two blocks only. Remaining are optional.
File Name :  Give pathe+name of your .tiff file
Type         : Bcol for colour     and bmon for mono
Resolution      : say 75 (as you wish)
    Second block
Text name :   only replace astrick by your name ZHEX-MACRO- has to be there.
Actually  this program will convert .tiff file into text file.
you can include this text file in any window. Text name is the name of the text file generated
    no more changes
    Now execute.
Now you can use this text file  ZHEX-MACRO-name   in any windoow
    If useful, give me points
    cheers

  • Print or Submit Depending on if PDF has digital signature

    hello everyone!!
i have a quick question and please let me know if i am posting this in the wrong area.
i have a pdf form created in Acrobat 7 but we need to reader rights enabled so I have since them downloaded acrobat pro 9 and revamped it.  it works great for those who have reader to give them the ability to fill it out and send it back as the complete PDF.  however, what i would like to do is have a "submit" button that checks to see if the document has a digital signature.  if it does, i want it to submit to an email address.  If it does not have a digital signature, I want the button to print the form so the user can sign it and send it in.  I have searched the web and unfortunately haven't found much on this.  My question is:  is this even possible?  If it is, could someone point me in the right direction or give a few tips on how to start.  any info at all would be greatly appreciated!!
    Thanks much!

Well thanks to the folks who took a look at this post....I've gotten no replies and need to move on...
Since I have posted this, I have found that it is possible so I'm going to try and muddle my way through it.

  • Digital signature on purchase order print output

  • Restrict printing of a form with digital signatures

I hope this isn't a duplicate question...  Please forgive me if it is; I did search the forums first.
I have a form that requires a digital signature from several people as it gets emailed from one person to the next.  Unfortunately, some of the people can't grasp the concept of digitally signing the form, therefore they print the form, sign it with a pen, scan it, and email it. (Very frustrating...)
Is there a way to prevent them from printing the form while still allowing me to print it once I receive it. I'm the last person in the signing chain and need the ability to print a hard copy listing all the digital signatures.
Thank  you so much for the advice! I really appreciate it!
    Heath

    Hi Heath,
Yes it can be done, and it's not that hard to do, but I am going to get a bit techno-geeky here. In the Acrobat world you can sign an encrypted form, but you cannot encrypt (or change the encryption of) a signed form. You can solve the problem by encrypting the form (most likely you'd use password security because it's the simplest).
First a word about PDF file encryption. Using file encryption gives you two things, control over who can open the file and the ability to restrict what they can do with the file once they get it opened (such as print). You are going to want to encrypt the form before anyone signs allowing all but printing to occur. Then when the users open the form they can fill out form fields and sign the file (at it's heart digitally signing a PDF file is just a special type of form fill-in), but they will not be able to print the file.
Here's is where things get a bit geeky. The key is when you encrypt the file (assuming you are using Password Security) you need to apply both a Document Open Password and a Permissions Password. Would it be simpler if there was no Document Open Password, yes it would, but then you wouldn't be able to print the form either. By using a Document Open Password when anyone (including yourself at the end of the signing work-flow) tries to open the file they will see this dialog:
You will supply all of the end-users that you want to sign the file the Document Open Password. Once the file is opened the Print functionality will be disabled so all they will be able to do is fill it out and send it back via e-mail (or a Submit button is you added one to the file). Eventually the file will get back to you, but when you open the file (and get the dialog above) you'll type in the Permissions Password. That tells Acrobat that you are the "document owner" and it raises the permission set to "allow all", and thus you will be able to print out the file. As long as you only share the Document Open Password and keep the Permissions Password to yourself no one else will be able to print but you.
Could this work with Certificate Security or Rights Management Security, yes it could, The steps would be different, but the outcome the same. Since I'm guessing that you'll use Password Security here's what you'll want to do:
    Open the unsigned file
Select the File > Properties menu item
Select the Security tab on the Document Properties dialog
Select Password Security from the Security Method drop-down list
Select the Compatibility and Encryption options at the bottom of the dialog (I suggesting that you do this first because if you change them you may need to reenter the passwords again)
Select the Require a password to open the document checkbox
    Enter the Document Open Password
Select the Restrict editing and printing of the document checkbox
In Printing Allowed drop-down leave it set to None
In Changes Allowed drop-down select Filling in form fields and sign existing signature fields
Select the Copy checkbox at your discretion
Enter the Change Permissions Password (it must be different then the Document Open Password)
    Click the OK button
    Confirm both Passwords
Click the OK button on the Document Properties dialog
Save the file to apply security
Now, when you reopen the file, if you use the Document Open Password printing will be disabled, but if you use the Permissions Password printing will be enabled.
You can also simplify this if you use the Tools > Protection panel, but I don't want to dump too much on you at once.
    Good luck,
    Steve

  • Print MS Access report to PDF with digital signatures.

I know it is possible to print a Microsoft Access report to a PDF file.  However, we need to be able to add digital signatures to the resulting PDF.  Is it possible to predefine the PDF signature fields in the Access database so that when the report is printed to PDF it is ready from employees to sign off on the PDF?

This is doable with the ability to do a security.importfromfile which provides the ability to import a certificate.
    This is critical.
Just create the PDF and then open it up in Access. Be sure to have a reference to the Acrobat Type library.

  • Print-only Policy Restrictions with Digital Signature

I'm trying to lock down all form fields on a PDF document and add a digital signature. Is this possible? I don't see a Document Restrictions option in the drop-down menu that enables Print capability ONLY as a Policy setting. There doesn't seem to be a Security setting which enables me to allow Printing that doesn't also enable field and/or comment editing as well. Is there a way to edit the Registry or some other workaround that facilitates this kind of signing and policy restrictions?
    Thanks for your help!
    System:
    1. Acrobat v.7.1 Professional
    2. Windows XP
    3. Word document converted to PDF
    4. Interactive Form Fields
    5. Digital Signature Field

I think I may have discovered a work-around for this problem. If you Secure (lock) all the interactive fields BEFORE adding your Signature field and signing the document, the changes won't take affect until you save and/or close the document. You can therefore add a signature field (or make any other changes you wish), and subsequently sign the document as long as you haven't saved it. Once you click Sign and Save on the signature pop-up window, the security changes as well as the digital signature will all take affect simultaneously.
    Hope this helps someone!
