Printing in Epson TMU 325 receipt printer

Epson TMU 325 is a bidirectional printer that can endorse a check as well as print the receipt for a payment. Has anyone used this printer along with SAP? How have you achieved the bi-directional communication with this printer? I can imagine that we could probably use some print controls for printing the receipt. Can anyone throw some light on how to use this to endorse a check?

Can I accomplish it with these tools?
Possibly, but your tools will need to include a permanently installed Ethernet cable to connect the Time Capsule to your modem/router. Is that possible?
If yes, there is still no guarantee that the printer will work with the USB port on the Time Capsule, so you would want to "test" this out using a short, spare Ethernet cable first to make sure that it will work....before....you pull the Ethernet cable.

  • Can't print to Epson TM-U590 Slip Printer from Report Generation Toolkit with LabVIEW 8.6.1

    Hi all,
I have an application that uses the Report Generation Toolkit to print tickets to a docket printer.  Usually this works fine - I have 8 existing installations where there are no problems
I'm currently installing the software at a new site that uses an Epson TM-U590 slip printer and I can't for the life of me get printing to work
Using a Standard Report, the Print Report.vi returns error -41002 which indicates it can't find the printer.  I've opened up the VI using remote debugging and it does find the printer name correctly with the Query Available Printers.vi.  It gets an error code -2147352567 from the Printout node, which then gets replaced with the -41002 error which is reported.
For historical reasons I'm still using LabVIEW 8.6.1 for this project.  I'm considering moving to 2011 or 2012 but I've had reliability issues with other parts of the application after attempting to update to a newer LabVIEW version so I'd like to avoid that at this stage.
The application is running on a standard desktop PC with Windows 7.  The slip printer works fine if I print to it from Notepad, and my application is happy to print to any other printer, just not the slip printer.
The slip printer is using the LPT port.  Previously the docket printers I've used have been USB but I would expect the printer driver to hide this detail from the application...
Any ideas would be much appreciated

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I've managed to sort out the problem, thanks to this KB article: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/67D60209102E2161862568AC0074BF64
I'm now having the same issue with a Star docket printer (a TUP592), this time with another program developed in LabVIEW 2011.
As mentioned in the article, the problem is actually to do with the margin settings rather than the printer name, despite what the error message says
After some experimentation, I've gotten the Star printer to work by setting a large (>14cm) right margin.  No idea why this is required as it seems to print right up to the right edge of the paper quite happily, but there you go.
So I haven't defintely fixed the original problem yet as I haven't gotten back to the site, but hopefully this will be of some help to someone else.

  • Problem printing to Epson FX 890 impact printer

    InDesign CS3 5.0.2
    Windows Vista 32-bit edition
    4G RAM
    Epson FX 890 Impact Printer
I have an Epson 9 pin dot matrix printer installed which is used to fill in 4 part carbonless forms. I've used it for years with Pagemaker with no problem, but when I installed a new computer with Vista and InDesign there's a problem with the print quality.
The characters look very grainy, like all of the pins are not hitting. It is a networked printer but is wired into the new computer. All other programs on the computer, including Pagemaker, print to it fine, and InDesign prints to a networked Canon laser and a hardwired Epson inkjet with no problem. I've tried different fonts and sizes and they all print grainy.
I thought it might have something to do with the "Appearance of Black" settings under Preferences ie: 100K Black vs Rich Black but have not been able to affect it with the different settings there.
    Any help will be appreciated.

The only Vista driver offered by Epson for this printer is for Vista 32 bit OS and that's the one I'm using. To print in PDF you would just save the finished document to PDF format and then open and print that document in Adobe Reader?

    1. Is there a way to print large format prints by tiled printing in Aperture

Instead of disabling EWF and then rebooting, try the following (new changes in bold):
    Reboot your system.
DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES AT THIS POINT
Disable EWF using the command line: ewfmgr c: -commitanddisable -live
    DO NOT reboot your system
    Install your printer drivers etc.
Enable EWF using the command line: ewfmgr c: -enable
(This does not actually enable EWF it just sets the system so it will be enabled when you next reboot)
    Reboot your system
      (EWF will now be enabled)

  • ILife won't Print to Epson PictureMate

I just love iPhoto, but I can't get it to print to my Epson PictureMate. The PictureMate prints from memoery cards and will print a nozzle check from the iMac, but it goes through the motions of printing then indicates that it is 'Stopped'. The primter icon in the Dock shows a red exclamation mark!

I too was troubled by this issue, and after the second attempt got this response from Epson which solved the problem.
Thank you for contacting the Epson Connection.

select More Printers tab at the bottom of the Printer Browser window and
then select  Epson USB and then select your printer under Product Name. If
applicable select the arrow by the Standard option under the Page Setup
option and select the All option. If not simply click on ADD.
    5.  Close out of any open windows and test your printer. Please make sure
that you select the correct printer in the page setup and print menu of the
    application.

  • How to set two Star's TSP100 receipt printer on the same mac ?

    Hello
For my restaurant I use a FileMaker homemade software that can use two ticket printers of the same type (Star's TSP100 receipt printer).
One is set as "Kitchen" in the underground kitchen and the other as "Desk" in the main floor.
Software must prints orders for kitchen on the correct printer and other receipts on the other printer. It uses Applescripts command to switch printer before printing.
Sometimes the two printers are switched and reports are printed on the bad printers.
Software is working correctly, orders for kitchen are always printed on the same printer and other receipts are also printed on the other printer. When printers switch, the kitchen receive receipts for desk and orders for kitchen are printed on the desk printer.
How can I fix the two printers to be sure that every orders and receipt are printed on the correct printer.
    Thanks for your help

Let me first say I have never tried to do that...
I believe this is completely about the driver. 1 driver can only correctly identify one printer in print & scan prefs. I think you need separate drivers and separate ways to identify each printer.  Like - another copy of the driver with different named file(s); and a printer utility that allows you to change printer name.
For Epsons the USB setup includes the Serial number - which allows the driver to differentiate. Does your driver do that? Maybe there is an alternate driver you can use for one of the printers?  Check out the free Gutenprint driver.  Search for gutenprint mac.

  • Receipt Printer Que

Have Epson receipt printer install with Generic Text/Only driver. O\S is Windows Server 2008 r2. This printer is part of a Terminal Services network configuration. The printer work most days however it seem that when network traffic increase
the printer queue will jam and stop printing job causing a backup and then all job for that printer stop. Also, unable to delete the job from queue.

    Hi,
Do you have only single printer installed in your network?
If more than one, then does it occur on all printer? What’s the exact printer model number?
Have you tried to re install printer driver again?
As you have commented that when network traffic increase then you are facing issue, for that you can check the print preference if you have applied. Also check printer properties are set properly.
Here providing workaround to cancel printing queue, you can first try to stop print spooler service and then delete all the spooled files and then start back again the spooler service. It might help for your issue. You can refer
KB 946737 guide and step for details for reference.
    Hope it helps!

  • Will an Epson TM-T88III thermal printer work on a Mac?

What are the chances (I haven't got it yet) of getting an Epson TM-T88III thermal receipt printer to work on a Mac (OS X 10.7.5)? It doesn't have a USB connection. And I can't see any Mac drivers available for it. Its connection is Serial RS-232 (possibly also Ethernet). No USB. I think you can get cable converters from serial to USB. But my concern is software.
I'm not going to be using the printer as a receipt printer in a POS situation. So I'm not fussed about proper receipt software. I just want to be able to print on it (ideally from something like Photoshop, full pixel control).
It seems Epson TM-T88V which has USB is fine with a Mac -- there's Mac drivers -- but they're much more expensive. Be great if I can get the III instead. But if it's not going to work on a Mac obviously there's not much point. Has anyone got a III to work on a Mac? Might it be possible?
    Thanks.
(What on earth has Apple done to this text input on this forum? It doesn't work very well -- not normal, horrible behaviour. You have to click several times to move the cursor, selecting text is a bit messed up. Not fun.)
Extra Q: Is there a general printing specific forum on here rather than one that's under/associated with particular versions of OS X?

    Have you looked here?

  • Can't Print From Epson R300 Anymore

This is my first post, forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong area, or if this has been addressed and answered previously. I have a Powerbook G4, running OSX 4.11 and using an Epson stylus photo R300 and have successfully been printing for years. Suddenly, nothing. I've been enduring this problem for quite some time, and cannot recall if there had been a software update prior to this happening. I have contacted Epson support, followed all their instructions, re-installed drivers, reset, etc. The problem I seem to have is when the printer is connected and powered on, nothing shows up in the printer set up utility. When selecting Epson USB, no models appear for me to add.
So far, I've been completely striking out! Any help/direction would be greatly appreciated! (also, any insight as to what is the cause.. Apple? Epson? who's responsible for the fix?)
    Thanks in advance!!

I am in a similar boat with Munga. I have an iMac 24 Intel Duo Core running OS 10. 4.11
I've had my R300 since I bought the computer and it has been working beautifully until the last 4 months or so. When trying to print a dialog box popped up saying that the computer couldn't communicate with the printer, though I could see the printer in all dialog boxes leading up to printing. The printer works with my laptop running OS 10.4.11 as well as using CF card directly in printer. I checked the USB cable with another device in the same USB port on my iMac and it works fine too. I tried resetting the PRAM,repairing the disc permissions, restarting numerous times and eventually resetting the printer and reloading the Epson Software. Before reloading the Epson software I went to the library>printers and removed the old Epson software. I also went to Receipts in the Library and removed the Epson receipts as suggested else where on this forum. The new Epson software reload hangs at "6 more items to load" . If I connect the printer to my IMac I can see it in the Systems profiler box as well as the print dialog box. I'd really like to use my printer. Please help!

  • Printing on Epson 980 via AE

Tried to hook my printer to AE to be able to print over my network. Printer works fine when connected to G4. Sees printer in rendevouz but not in printer list when on AE. Tried printing on IP printing also without success. Any ideas would be appreciated.

The following fix was suggested by Epson to someone in a similar situation. See if it helps:
Thank you for contacting the Epson Connection.
Ensure the printer is directly connected to the computer. We would
    recommend trying another USB port.
Please follow the instructions below to completely remove and reinstall the
resident Epson driver package for your printer. You can leave the printer
    on and connected throughout.
    REMOVE FILES
    1. Double click on the MAC HARD DRIVE.
    2. Double click on the LIBRARY folder.
    3. Double click on the PRINTERS folder.
    4. Drag the EPSON folder to the trash can.
    5. Close any open windows.
    6. Double click on the MAC HARD DRIVE.
    7. Double click on the LIBRARY folder.
    8. Double click on the RECEIPTS folder.
    9. Delete any "Epson" receipts.
    10. Close all open windows and restart your computer.
    REINSTALL THE EPSON DRIVER PACKAGE
    1. Insert your Mac OS X 10.4 Install disc. Open CD when it appears on the
    desktop.
    2. Find and double-click on the Optional Installs.mpkg.
    3. After the installer opens, choose the following custom install options:
-Check "Printer drivers" and use arrow next to this entry to expand this
    category.
-Check "Epson" below the "Printer drivers" heading. (You do not need to
    install other manufacturer's packages.)
    4. Click "Install" and follow prompts to reinstall the resident Epson
printer driver package. Restart the computer after installation is
    complete.
    READD THE PRINTER
    1. Go into HD > Applications > Utilities and open the Printer Setup
Utility. The "Printer List" window appears.
    2. Highlight and delete any existing references to your Epson printer. (If
you want to be thorough and do not have any other printers on the Mac,
choose "Printer Setup Utility" from the top of the screen and "Reset
Printing System". Confirm resetting the system. This clears any existing
printer entries and queues. If you have other printers on the Mac and use
this reset, you will need to readd them later.)
    3. Click ADD. Printer Browser window appears. (At this point your Epson
printer must be on and connected.)
    4. Highlight the desired Epson printer model and click the MORE PRINTERS
button at the bottom of the window. (Do not change any other fields.)
    5. A window now opens which is identical to 10.2. and 10.3, where you can
select EPSON USB (for a USB cable connection) or EPSON FIREWIRE (for a
firewire connection) at the top of the screen. Highlight your printer's
name and select Page Setup "ALL" below, then hit ADD to return to the
Printer List with all available printer/layout options now showing. (If you
are unable to see the full description under "Kind" you may need to expand
the Printer Setup Utility window or extend the "Kind" column to make this
    visible.)
    6. Make the printer name/layout option you wish to use default in the
Printer Setup Utility before closing it. For example, if you plan to do a
borderless print, ensure the printer name showing "(Sheet feeder -
Borderless)" under "Kind" is set as the default printer here. Then, when
you have opened a photo and are ready to print, go to File > Page Setup and
File > Print in the program you are printing from and ensure that the
specific printer/layout option you want to use is also selected as
    "Printer" or "Format for".
