Prioritizing of messages in PI 7.0 SP6

Hi all
When we are recieving messages from the server it is sending the messages to the other end Correctly. But the problem we are facing is, the meessages are not sent in the order they are recieved (FIFO), But they are are randomly processed. PLease let us know what needs to be done so to process the messages by XI in the order we recieve.
Do we no to do any configuration in SXMB_ADM
Thanks,
Sita Ram

HI Sitaram,
To prioritizing of messages call transaction SE11 and add the following fixed values to the value range of domain SXMS_LOCATION:
Fixed value: 1, Short description: Integration Engine - Sender
Fixed value: 4, Short description: Integration Engine - Recipient
           Activate the changes.
Call transaction SE11 and change the description of the domain fixed values SXMS_Q_PREFIX as follows:
XPTA high-priority EO queue on the IS outbound processing/recipient
XBTZ low-priority EO queue on the IS outbound processing/recipient
XBT1 high-priority EO queue on the IS inbound processing/recipient
XBT9 low-priority EO queue on the IS inbound processing/recipient
           Activate the changes.
Call transaction SMQR, and regisgter the following queue prefixes on the sender and recipient systems:
XBTA*, MAXTIME 120
XBTZ*, MAXTIME 30
XBT1*, MAXTIME 120
XBT9*, MAXTIME 30
Refer note 1000330,726080.

  • WLC Prioritizing authentication messages!

    Hi all,
Q: in regards to a WLC - wireless clients and QoS. when using WPA2-AES encryption.
Does anyone know how the authentication messages are prioritized? Are authentication messages (eg. EAPOL) between WLC and wireless client seen as Control traffic (CS3) Voice traffic (EF) or maybe not prioritized at all :-(
    THX
    Goen

Way up (from client to WLC) may vary, way back (from WLC to client) is a fixed tag value. Namely, 802.1X data from the client is classified according to the WLAN QoS settings, but packets containing 802.1X frames from the WLC are marked CS4.
    Hope it helps

  • Prioritizing synchronous messages in NW2004

    Hi all,
Stupid question time but I have spent an age looking at this. I understand standard queue prioritization (XBT1, XBTA etc) is only relevant for asynchronous interfaces in XI NW2004, but I have a synchronous interface that is Web Service -> XI -> RFC call to R/3 and back that takes 4-5 seconds to deliver a stock figure back to the web service when the requirement is to get it back in under 1 second. Our XI system is processing lots of asynchronous messages at the same time that I cannot halt; all interfaces are 24-hours a day retail ones.
Is there any way I can prioritize my synchronous stock figure requests in order to reach my sub-1-second goal?
    Many thanks for any advice....
    Regards
    Stuart

    Hi,
You can set it by Logon to the Integration Server and navigate to the XI Administration.
Choose: Configure Filter for Queue Prioritization.

After a successful installation of Weblogic 6.1 SP6 from SP4, the following is displayed upon entering the admin console:
    Console-Server Version Mismatch
    server-version 6.1.4.0
    console-version 6.1.6.0
However, inspection of the weblogic.log file shows the following message:

  • Priority of messages

              HI,
              According to JMS documentation
"The JMS API does not require that a provider strictly implement priority ordering
of messages; however, it should do its best to deliver expedited messages ahead
              of normal messages."
I wanted to know does Weblogic7.0 provides such feature or not. As i tried to
run one example of my own but it seems that it sets the default priority despite
my sender setting the priorities of messages before sedning.
              Any clue!!!!
              Thanks,
              Akhil Nagpla

    Hi Akhil,
Yep, I have a clue! Two clues as a matter of fact. :-)
Clue One: As per the JMS spec, setting the priority of a message will
have no effect - the message setter is for vendor use only. The JMS
vendor overrides the message value with the priority setting on the
Producer object. So to set the priority of a message, set it using
the producer API (not the message API).
Clue two: WebLogic delivers messages in priority order only if the queue
is administratively configured to sort in that order. By default,
queues sort FIFO. The console steps to set the sort order for a
destination are (1) create a sort key on the "JMSPriority" field,
and (2) add this sort key to the destination's key fields.
Queue sorting, including priority sorting, has been supported in
              WebLogic since 6.0.
              Hope this helps,

  • FX-110 error conversion

    Hi Community,
When I run the currency conversion (european way) I get the message for BPC 5.1 SP6:
    SPRunConversion Version 5.0.507
Warning : Application without Flow Dimension
ERROR FX-110 Problem IN Category Or Categhory_for_ope check properties.
Looking at this error I have a document that says the problem is:
    - Your parameter CATEGORY is not valid OR
    - You don' t have the Property CATEGORY_FOR_OPE In your CATEGORY Dimension OR
    - You don' t have the Property RATE_CATEGORY In your CATEGORY Dimension OR
    - You don' t have the Property FX_DIFFERENCE_ONLY In your CATEGORY Dimension
I have checked this in the category dimension and I do have all these properties. As I don't use the Subtable dimension / flows in the balance sheet etc, I have these relevant properties for the flows left blank.
I use the European way of consolidating, so I use business rules. I used the FXrestatement data manager package and changed the dropdown box from entity to groups, because I use the european way. In the groups I have LC and EUR (and of course the consolidation groups). I think I have all the properties right in the groups, account and company dimensions. I have tried quite some options, but perhaps I am forgetting something.
I even also added a Subtable dimension (I don't need this by the way, but if needed I can use one of my Userdefined dimension). This because the error message also gives the notification "application without flow dimension". But even after adding this dimension / using an userdefined dimension (included with the required dimensions) to the finance application I get the error message.
    The SQL script I use:
    *RUN_STORED_PROCEDURE = SPRUNCONVERSION('FINANCE','%
    CATEGORY_SET%','EUR','GLOBAL','%SCOPETABLE%','%LOGTABLE%')
    *COMMIT
Overview of the dimensions and reference dimension:

    RateEntity         | E                    |  InputCurrency
    Subtable         | S

Perhaps I have made a mistake somewhere. Could someone please help me with this?
    Regards, Anita

I suggest to check your time dimension prior to check others. Make sure clear "MONTHNUM" property value of non-base level members. And "YEAR" property must be numeric. I saw some customers have wrongly configured values of critical properties.

  • How to upgrade NMS 4.15?

I have currently running Netscape Messaging Mail Server 4.15 sp6. I want to upgrade it to Sun Java Messaging Server 6.
How can I do to migrate my old Netscape Messaging Server 4.15 sp6 into Sun Java Messaging Server 6?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    You have three options:
    1. Install 5.2 as an upgrade. You don't' have to start it, but it will accept and convert the internal database as well as the ldap entries.
    2. Install 6.2 separately. Manually migrate your users ldap entries to your new ldap server. Use MoveUser to move the exiting mail.
    3. Install 6.2. Manually migrate your user data to the new LDAP. Move the 4.15 store to 6.2. Run reconstruct -m and then reconstruct -r. This technique SHOULD work, but is un-tested and unsupported. I believe it has worked for some customers.

  • Single point of Connection?

    Hi Experts,

    Hey
it is possible to handle parallel messages in IE.but i guess you are looking for message processing in general.
see all the messages are processed in the order they arrived ,you have the option of prioritizing the messages in IE meaning you can give a higher priority to some important messages but this prioritizing is not possible at the adapter engine level,so adapter will pick the messages in the order they arrived, now when they enter IE and you have set the priority for them then they are processed based upon that,if no priority has been set they are processed in the order they were received

  • Setting up Customised priorities in help- support message in solman

    Hi All,
We have defined some customised priorities for our requirement.
The Priorities are coming in crmd_order and in notif_create but these changes are not found in help->create msg.
The SPRO activity: SAP Solution Manager Implementation Guide > SAP Solution Manager > Scenario-Specific Settings > Service Desk > Maintain Categories and Priorities > Maintain Priorities of Dates modified the priorities only in crmd_order transaction.
I have searched in sdn also but could not get much information on it.
The main problem is, in satellite system(ECC) they use help->create msg to create a support message. In which the customised prioties  are not coming.
Request your guidance in this issue.
    Regards,
    Subhashini.

    Hi
    Goto DNO_CUST01 in solman
now choose slf1 on the right side and then click priorities
here add more prirorities for you
But remember this will not enhance help -> create support message in solman or in satellite system
If you want customize in satellite also then modify the standard by develpment
    Hope it helps

  • Prioritized Messages in combination with Event-Driven Message Processing

    Hi,
our Scenario (EO): Sender A sends large IDocs to Receivers X and Y (> Split)
    1.
    What we did first:
    Prioritized Message Processing
Sender A sends large Messages, therefore we prioritzied Messages in the IE with EO_MSG_SIZE_LIMIT > 4000.
This works fine: Messages are queued in XBTL and XBTM and afterwards they are send to Receiver X and Y.
    2.
    What we did next:
    Event-Driven Message Processing
Now we want to send the Message from Sender A to Receiver X directly and to Receiver Y at night time.
We add Event-Driven Message Processing, Sender- and ReceiverID for A and Y,Job and so on...
On it's own (without Prioritized Message Processing), this works fine: The messages are send at night time.
But in combination (Event-Driven + Prioritized Message Processing) the messages only passes the Prioritized Message Processing and the Event-Driven is ignored.
Our "Hop-List" for Split A to Y was:
    1. XBTL
    2. XBTJ2008...
    3. XBTM
    But actually all Messages passes:
    1.XBTL
    2.XBTM
Why are the messages not filtered for the Event-Driven Message Processing (in combination with the Prioritized Message Processing)?

It was an error in the SourceCode and is now corrected by SAP:
Hinweis 1295746 - XI Runtime: Fehler in Ereignisgesteuerte Messageverarbeitung

  • Updating the Message priorities in AQ after publishing ?

    Hi,
I would like to know updating the message priorities in AQ after publishing the messages to AQ through Oracle JMS is a good approach ?.
Please post your comments on this.
    Regards,
    Murali.

Setup an AQ with CLOB Payload.
In Istudio, setup a custom data type that has a string value. When you are setting up the event, enter a field valled Payload, for the field type choose the data type you created.
That's it. You can use a CLOB datatype to pass messages through AQ's. We actually use this all the time.

  • Install Error message upgrading to SP6

    Hi,
We are currently upgrading our SAP BI 4.0 Platform (SP4 Patch 8) to SP6. In our test environment installation ends with a dialog box saying "SAP BI 4.0 SP6 has encountered an error during the install process".
I have reviewed the content of the setupengine.log file placed at ..\InstallData\logs. The only lines containing the error word are showed below:
    (1)  19:03:30.184 Error:GetSeedElementList(): unrecognized element under element 'install': diskCostInfo

I have checked that  some of these message errors already appeared in other log installations where process finished without the mentioned dialog box message (E.g: 1,2,3,4). I suspect that BO install end dialog arises from message 5 (Service was not temporarily available because it was may be taken too much time to start).
Currently system seems to work fine but the final BO install dialog message does not let me too quiet. We have repetead the install process in another environment (PRE) with exactly the same result. Do you think that the install process can be considered fine in this case?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
I already tried to repair it (in both cases I followed suggested best practices: servers not required stopped, and so on...) but the error appears again with same message in log.
I noticed that during the install the instllation process was a long time stopped with the message "Waiting for start CMS for first time.....", so I assume that by some reason the CMS was taking much more time to start that the expected one by the installation.
SIA was running after post installation. I have restarted the server and it starts automatically without issues.
    Thanks,

  • ABAP Proxy - Message prioritizing in ECC

    Dear Experts,
Can you provide me any document to prioritize the proxy messages in Application Engine (ECC - SMQ2). I've already gone through the document for Integration Server but I need the one more specific for the Application Engine and more details like configuring specific queue sets for individual interfaces. Please help.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
The queue used for Proxy call is not registerd in ECC system. You need to register the queue to process successfully.
you will get the name of Queue from SMQ2 t-code and register it with t-code SMQR.
    Thanks

  • Creating Support Desk message in Satellite System Priority & Trans.Type

    Dear Colleagues,
When we click on Help ->Create Support Message . Create Message screen appears, in this screen we can select the Priorities. I wanted to know where we define these priorities. Is it in Satellite System(R/3 ) or in Solution manager.
After creating the message, it will automatically  take SLFN Transaction Type. But I want use Z Transaction type for all support messages. Where i need do the changes.
    Regards
    PK

    Hi PK,
There is an IMG activity for defining a default priority. It work within workcenter and message creation from SolMan. You can test if it works when you create the message from R/3 backend.
Please refer to SAP Note 1362264 - Work Centers: Incident Create default Priority & Category, where the customizing is given (you only need to apply the note if you are using .the workcenters).
Edit : it is likely that the default priority comes from the basis notification when creating message from backend. You can try to change the default priority using the BAdI SBCOS001 in the satellite system.
    Best regards,
    Stéphane.
