Problem activating a project with screen-exit

Hi!
Could somebody guide me to activate a project that has the enhancement MM06E005, with many screen-exits?
In this enhancement, has many screen exits and I only implemented the 0101 screen (it's appears in me23n).
When I activated the project, the CMOD activated all the screen-exits and put a flag means that all screen exits is implemented, and I only implemented the 0101 screen.
And the problem is, I send the request with this activated project to production and the transaction ME41 generated a dump cause the screen 0301 not is created (this 0301 screen is in MM06E005 and I'm not use, I'm not implemented, but the CMOD activated).
I was clear with my problem?
Thanks in advanced!!!

Hi,
That is because it checks whether that exit has been implemented or not.
In case it finds no screen it doesn't go and look for it.
My concern is that in Dev if you go and check against that screen which is giving error it should say something like 'there is no screen existing ' or something to that effect but if by mistake when you click it shows a screen then there is an issue.
Also, for the solution, what you can do is deactivate this enhancement project in production and then in Dev also deactivate it. Delete this project and assign it to a new project and then sent it to Production.
I am sure this will solve your issue.
I have also checked in my system and when you activate an enhancement project it put's a 'tick' mark against each screen exit meaning it's implemented even for those which have not been created and we are not experiencing any issue currently in this regard
Hope this helps

  • Pros and Cons of Customer Specific Screens with Screen Exit????????????????

    Hi Experts,
I am using Screen Exits for Notification.
I want to know what are the Disadvantages of using screen exits for notification.
Earlier we had Runtime error because of the Screen Exits used anyway we had rectified the problem. Anyway before going for next Screen Exits please tell me if any problems I would likely to face because of screen exits.
                   Thanks in advance.

    Narendra,
If they are programmed correctly, then you shouldn't have any problems.
However, you may need to create some new ABAP reports.

  • Project manager - problem exporting a project with AE compositions.

I have a problem exporting my project to another disk, this is what happens:
I needed to move the project from the windows partition of my Mac to the Mac partition, in order to be able to continue my edit under MacOS, my sequences include a series of After Effects compositions of footage that has been stabilized in warp stabilizer using the option "replace with AE composition" from the timeline.
Using the project manager I started my backup operation, with these options:
    Source: all sequences selected
Resulting Project: Collect files and copy to new location
    Include Audio conform files
Destination: a folder in the Mac partition
The resulting project had a message popping up saying that AE rpject file is missing (it was, I had to manually copy and paste it from ithe win partition to the mac) and once copied obviously AE couldn't find the source video clips of its compositions, so I had to manually re-link them all  (quite difficult job to do among almost two years of footage).
What have I done wrong ?
Why AE lose the connection with the fils?
    Thanks

    Thanks Jim,
I understand that Adobe Anywhere solves this, but there should be this fairly basic functionality (which exists in Avid and FCP) in a non-enterprise edition of the software.  I have submitted a couple different feature requests about this, going back to CS5, so hopefully enough people make similar requests for a fix to be implemented.  Adobe Anywhere is really not a solution for our small shop as currently configured/priced, especially when we can have editors working remotely with very affordable USB 3 drives.  The only hangup is the markers, which just isn't worth a 5 figure fix.  As such it's hard to consider the problem solved for either us or any small shop or post crew.

    HI Pavan,
Goto SMOD and give this EXIT name there you willl find the function modules when you go into the include programs you find the code, if you want you can comment the code over here or find the project from here in the where used list and take the Project and goto CMOD and deactive the Exit.

  • Problem sharing iMovie project with media browser

Having prepared a movie in IMovie I tried to share it with media browser at 1020p HD.  After 2 hours of processing I got the following error message.  What does it mean and what can I do to fix?  I shared at the mobile level and it worked.
"Unable to prepare project for publishing.
The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred. (File already open with with write permission)"

I know what the problem is, it's related to Time Machine on laptops running the 10.7 Lion OS.
This requires using the Terminal app, in your Applications/Utilities folder
To turn off Time Machine snapshots type in the following command:
    sudo tmutil disablelocal
The Mac will likely ask for your password, so type it in and hit the return key. The type the word, exit and hit return. Quit Terminal.
Open iMovie and try doing another export and see if the same error message pops up.

  • Problem in MRP planning with user exit key

    Hi All,
I have a requirement like this..
we have 1000 FG in our plant.. out of which they want to plan only 250 FG's through MRP run collectively...when they do MRP run system should plan  only these 250 FG's and also down level materials ( components ) of these 250 FG's ..
So I proposed to use user exit key in MD01 screen by activating user exit M61X0001 and these 250 FG 's are identified with a separate MRP group in material master and developed enhancement..
But when I do MRP run in MD01 with this user exit key,  system only planning those 250 FG's but not planning down level materials or components of these 250 FG's.. is this standard behavior.. can somebody guide me how solve this issue..
    Thanks
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
You can use either MRP Type, MRP Controller, MRP Group in this user exit to control the MRP run. For these set of Materials you have to assign any of same value or at least differentiate these material from other material. Then only you can control the MRP by using this user exit even though if you use different MRP Group and MRP Controller. In User Exit, you may have to add your dependent material's MRP Group/MRP Controller. Make sure that these set of materials are different than all other materials.
If you don't have any plan to run MRP for other materials then as per Ajit suggestion you make that material's MRP type as "ND". But, in your business case they may want to activate the MRP for all the material not now but may be latter.
    Thanks

  • How to set the fields invisible/visible dynamically with screen-exits

<b>Goal:</b> I am changing the subscreen from standard screen for mobile device interface, i.e. function group LMOB. With a scanner I am to read a material number and have it confirmed by the SAP system. For this I need an input field which is already supplied by the standard program. The users require the screen to be dynamic, i.e. I can not do the settings in the screen-painter.
<b>Problem occurred:</b> After I have changed to use the customized subscreen 1202 in function group XLRF, not all the fields are displayed. It seems that the values for setting the screen elements are lost when calling the subscreen (3202, copy of screen 2202). For instance, it does not show my input field. Somewhere there need to be a list that contains all these parameter switches? I know how “Loop at screen” works but can’t find the values that are supposed to be passed over to the subscreen.
Would be grateful for some help.

    Hi Niklas!
Unfortunately I don't know the transaction you're working on, but I had a similar problem once.
You have to use the commands <b>LOOP AT SCREEN</b> and <b>MODIFY SCREEN</b>. I found some online help here: <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/9f/dba70535c111d1829f0000e829fbfe/frameset.htm">SAP Online Help</a>. The fields of the pseudo-table <b>SCREEN</b> can be found here: <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/9f/dbab6f35c111d1829f0000e829fbfe/frameset.htm">SAP Online Help</a>. I think you have to set <b>INVISIBLE</b> to 'X' - but you may have to experiment.
Another thing to look out for is that you have to call this method in the <b>PBO</b> section of the dynpro. Take care no SAP logic is executed after your modification that changes your settings...
Hope this helps (please reward me if it does),

    Thanks

I'm sorry Mike, but I want to be clear on what you are saying.  Are you saying NOT to include it in my project but rather include it in the "always included" box in the application builder?
What do you mean by "You shouldn't do it, because your fixed path would be wrong."  What shouldn't I do?  Add it to my project?  I asked a lot of questions and am not sure to what you are referring.
    Thanks again for the reply.

  • DIfference Between User Exits, Screen Exits, Menu Exits And BADI

Could any one let me know the exact/practical dIfference Between User Exits, Screen Exits, Menu Exits And BADI. ? And why BADIs are more proned to use?

    Hi,
    User Exits:
A user exit is a three character code that instructs the system to access a program during system processing.
SXX: S is for standard exits that are delivered by SAP.   XX represents the 2-digit exit number.
UXX: U is for user exits that are defined by the user.  XX represents the 2-digit exit number
    Menu Exits:
Menu exits add items to the pulldown menus in standard SAP applications. You can use these menu items to call up your own screens or to trigger entire add-on applications.
SAP creates menu exits by defining special menu items in the Menu Painter. These special entries have function codes that begin with "+" (a plus sign). You specify the menu item’s text when activating the item in an add-on project.
    Screen Exits:
Screen exits add fields to screens in R/3 applications. SAP creates screen exits by placing special subscreen areas on a standard R/3 screen and calling a customer subscreen from the standard screen’s flow logic.
    BADIs:
Business Add-Ins are a new SAP enhancement technique based on ABAP Objects. They can be inserted into the SAP System to accommodate user requirements too specific to be included in the standard delivery. Since specific industries often require special functions, SAP allows you to predefine these points in your software.
And why BADIs are more proned to use?
In contrast to above customer exits, Business Add-Ins no longer assume a two-level infrastructure (SAP and customer solutions), but instead allow for a multi-level system landscape (SAP, partner, and customer solutions, as well as country versions, industry solutions, and the like). Definitions and implementations of Business Add-Ins can be created at each level within such a system infrastructure.
SAP guarantees the upward compatibility of all Business Add-In interfaces. Release upgrades do not affect enhancement calls from within the standard software nor do they affect the validity of call interfaces. You do not have to register Business Add-Ins in SSCR.
The Business Add-In enhancement technique differentiates between enhancements that can only be implemented once and enhancements that can be used actively by any number of customers at the same time. In addition, Business Add-Ins can be defined according to filter values. This allows you to control add-in implementation and make it dependent on specific criteria (on a specific Country value, for example).
All ABAP sources, screens, GUIs, and table interfaces created using this enhancement technique are defined in a manner that allows customers to include their own enhancements in the standard. A single Business Add-In contains all of the interfaces necessary to implement a specific task.
The actual program code is enhanced using ABAP Objects. In order to better understand the programming techniques behind the Business Add-In enhancement concept, SAP recommends reading the section on ABAP Objects.

  • Field and screen exit..

Hi I am used function moduel user exit many times but I am not sure about the concept of field exit and screen exit.
Can someone elaborate it by giving an example..
    Thanks.

    Hi Tushar Shah
    ·        Menu Exits
Menu exits add items to the pulldown menus in standard SAP applications. You can use these menu items to call up your own screens or to trigger entire add-on applications.
SAP creates menu exits by defining special menu items in the Menu Painter. These special entries have function codes that begin with “+” (a plus sign). You specify the menu item’s text when activating the item in an add-on project.
    ·        Screen Exits
Add screen layouts to applications. SAP creates screen exits by placing special subscreen areas on a standard screen and calling a customer subscreen from the standard screen’s flow logic.
    ·        Function Module Exits
Add functions to applications. Function module exits play a role in both menu and screen exits. When you add a new menu item to a standard pulldown menu, you use a function module exit to define the actions that should take place once your menu is activated. Function module exits also control the data flow between standard programs and screen exit fields.
SAP application developers create function module exits by writing calls to customer functions into the source code of standard programs. These calls have the following syntax: CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION ‘001’.
From Release 4.5A, you can change field texts on screens and add data element documentation using the Modification Assistant.
Just have a look at following Link>:

    Hi,
The SAPMV45A , 8309 screen is the Additional Data B tab providded by SAP to add your custom fields . In order to capture the data from this custon field you can use
the user exit MV45AFZZ, USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE OR
    USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT depening on your functionality.
If you include the field MGANR as a part of the VBRK /VBRP structure then these will be available.
step by step method to implement screen exit:
Screen exits add fields to screens in R/3 applications. SAP creates screen exits by placing special subscreen areas on a standard R/3 screen and calling a customer subscreen from the standard screen’s flow logic.
    the tcode is cmod...

    2.Choose Edit component.
3.Choose the screen exit and double click on it
4.Create your subscreen using the Screen Painter.
