Problem close form with upper-right cross
Hi, I am having a problem with a form in oracle 10gR2.
The form was made with Oracle designer and now when the user click on the upper-right form cross it's not closed. The user must to click on the parent form and close it.

I might add that trigger (when-window-closed) but I'm looking that in the application there are other forms that not include that trigger, however that forms are closed through the upper-right cross.
It seems like there was a parameter or property in generator time. I don't know. All the applications forms have been created in the same way.

a dialog is like a jframe so when u remove the upper part of it u can add a label like and other component to the frames content pane. u can create a panel which will serve as the upper label and will have a background gradient coloring (like windows frames) and an icon and any buttons u want. its a simple jpanel that u put on the upper side of the dialog. u can add a mouse listener to the panel so when the user pressed the mouse and moves it around u move the dialogs position.

Date Validation problem in form with report
Hi,
I am stuck on this date validation issue in a form with report that I am working on-
I have an Active_date_start and an Active_date_end field. I want to validate the form in such a way that if the user enters the Active_date_end < active_date_start then it should error out appropriately asking to change the active_end_date . Also another problem is that the changes are made to the active_date_end they should reflect in the table. How do I accomplish this.

Thanks for the code.Now the APPLY CHANGES works fine except that it throws an error when I change the end date to a date which is less than the start date . So it does show me my error and does not go further but also shows me the error -

I looked up the error number and it says its a generic error type where the error can be found on the line number specified. But in this case how and where do I look for the error line?. This is the code I am using-

Secure, multi-section form with administrative rights
I want to create a form that has sections we'll call "yes", "no", and "maybe". Only one section is visible at any time, and only someone with administrative rights can choose which section is visible. Once the section is chosen and the form saved, that section cannot be changed by anyone without admin rights. Can this be done in Acrobat?
The proposed use process would go something like this:
1. Admin receives order and pulls the form.
2. Admin clicks "yes", "no", or "maybe" (tab? radio button?) to reveal the applicable section.
3. Admin fills in some portions, saves the form, and passes it down the line.
4. Down the line, the form is opened and the rest of the form is filled. If "yes", "no" or "maybe" is clicked, nothing happens because this user has no admin rights.
5. The completed form is saved.
I know it would save a lot of effort to make three separate forms. The reason for the single, multi-section form is so the other two sections can be filled on a later date. This saves the effort of refilling the other parts of the form with same data, or changing same data on three separate forms. In addition, admin can open a filled form and click among the different sections to review each section off the one form.
Did that make sense? If so, can it be done in Acrobat?Please also tell me if what I have in mind can't be done so I can stop chasing this idea.

How do I remove the close button in the upper right corner?
I'm trying to do the same thing. I discovered that it's not a Java limitation, but a look-and-feel limitation. You can use JFrame.setUndecorated(true) and JFrame.getRootPane().setWindowDecorationStyle(some_style_without_close_button), but this will only work if the current windowing system supports disabling native decorations (MS Windows does), and if the current look-and-feel supports window decorations. A quick test (in J2SE 1.4.2) shows that:
Metal LAF -- supports
Motif LAF -- does not support
Windows LAF -- does not support
Anyway this is not sufficient for me since I need to use the native look and feel on all systems. -
How can I compress a large fillable form with extended rights?

I have about 15 fillable PDF s that I created in LiveCycle ES2. One form is 37,616 kb and takes forever to download from the web. I attempted to zip the file, but when I tested it, text could no longer be saved after it was unzipped (the forms have extended rights as users need to be able to enter in a save text they enter into it). Does anyone have any suggestions re: how I might be able to compress my PDF file, while still being able to maintain the ability to enable savable text (extended rights)?Just tried it here and it worked fine ....are you sure you zipped the Reader Extended version of the form?

Problem sending form with fmt:message key=" " / tag system and jsp code
I have developt my new web page using jsp. I have done a booking form, please se below here. There are two pages, bookings.jsp and booking_sent.jsp. The page has 6 different languages so i have also used the <fmt:message key=" " /> tag system for each language.
The problem i have is when i send the form it opens a page where you only see all the tags, no text at all. For more information follow this link and try out the form;

When you fill out the form and click send you should come to booking_sent and you do but the page is only full of tags, no text. Booking_sent looks exactly the same as bookings, except the header so why should not this work. I have tried everything but i cannot solve this problem. So i wonder if there is anybody out there who can help me with this?

I have developed my new web page using jsp. I have done a booking form,
There are two pages, bookings.jsp and booking_sent.jsp.
The page has 6 different languages so i have also used the <fmt:message key=" " /> tag system for each language.
The problem i have is when i send the form it opens a page where you only see all the tags, no text at all.

When you fill out the form and click send you should come to booking_sent and you do but the page is only full of tags, no text. Booking_sent looks exactly the same as bookings, except the header so why should not this work. I have tried everything but i cannot solve this problem. So i wonder if there is anybody out there who can help me with this?
Tried going to that URL and got an error page served by Apache Webserver
Maybe you haven't got the correct connector going between the webserver and the application server? -
Problems submitting form with Adobe Reader X?
Our agency created a PDF fillable form, and recently three respondants using Adobe Reader X (on PCs) have contacted us to say that the submit button is not working and they are unable to save the contents of the form to a file on their computer. The Forms Central Forum had said Adobe 8.0 or higher would support the fillable form, so we are surprised to be running into this. Has anyone else encountered this problem and found the solution? Is there a step we are missing? Thank you!
@melissasnider : make sure that the form filler are using Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader or Acrobat Mobile to fill up the form. Any other PDF viewers doesn't support the submission functionality. More information can be found here : http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2653.

How to close popup with af:commandButton without submitting values?
Hi all,
I'm using JDeveloper 11.1.2.1
My popup has few af:inputText components with value attribute binded to view scope variables.
I set those view scope variables in backing bean before showing popup.
When I change values of input fields and click cancel (af:commandButton, partialSubmit=true, immediate=true), popup is closed.
Then, when I show popup again, values that I changed are visible although I set new values to view scope variables in backing bean before showing popup again.
I noticed that when I close popup using close icon in upper right corner of popup everything works fine.
Also, I tried using dialog cancel button and it also works fine.
Is there a way for closing popup using af:commandButton but without submitting values?
In previous releases of JDeveloper (<= 11.1.1.5) I didn't noticed this problem.

See the documentation of af:popup for that. Canceling a popup is a pure client-side operation. No event is sent to the server. No submit. No need to reset anything. That's basically what the built-in cancel button does as well.

Saving a PDF-form with nested forms and tables
I created a multiplaged form with a couple JS-functions to add table-instances and complete tables and a few more. I saved the form with additional rights to make sure my users can save the form and its content using Adobe Reader. Now whenever the form is saved, some - but only some - information disappears, respectively isn't saved but replaced through the default content. I created quite some forms before and never ever had this problem. I'm using LiveCycle Designer ES 2 )but experienced the same problem when using ES 3) and Adobe Reader X.

When you work with live cycle designer you create your form and you save it. Then, when you want to send it to people you use the assistant with create 2 other different files :
1) A publication form that you will send by mail
2) A blank form that you will fill with information the user sent to you
So, call the assistant create the 2 files but don't send them to people and save them locally. Open the second file and fill it in reader, you will see you will save change.

What exactly do I need to do?That means you were probably using Adobe Acrobat to view PDF's. Acrobat is totally unnessary, you can view PDF's in Preview (Applications - Preview).

Why can't i access or click on the menu options at the top of ANY web page? Also, Can't close a moddle window using the x in the upper right,?
Problems with buttons and links at the top of the page not working can be caused by an extension like the Yahoo! Toolbar or a Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.

T440p [20AN] TrackPoint cursor jumps to upper right and closes programs
I have a new T440p [20AN] running Windows 7 pro sp1 64 Bit
The TrackPoint cursor randomly jumps to upper right corner of the screen and closes programs.
I have updated the Bios to LENOVO GLET69WW (2.23 ), 4/25/2014. I have updated the UltraNav driver to version 18.0.7.40.
The problem occurs with all trackpoint/touchpad settings that I've tried including the default settings. Currently I have disable the touchpad functionality and set it to use "Classic TrackPoint Mode Only" and have disabled Gestures and the jumpy cursor still happens (see screen shot).
Is this a hardware issue or is there some other fix?I saw this issue years before on my R61
cursor will move to the top of my screen automatically.
A workaround is just leave it for 20s, then it comes back. -
I went into system preferences to sync icloud to my iphone, and i guess i left it up and now everytime i click system preferences the icloud part comes up. That part has a white screen over it with a little padlock in the upper right hand corner, and because of this i can't even restart my computer. Can somone please help me, thank you!

I'm having the same problem as well, but on the battery drain however, you can drain it faster by using voice control. If you have music on your device, you can use the voice control to play the music. Still takes a lot of time, but at least it goes faster. By the way, I tried running down the battery for over 10 times now, but it still does nothing. If this is in your case as well, it could be a loose lcd cable and you need to get it repaired or try yourself. There should be some good tutorials on the web.
